My favorite signing is Sobiech. I haven't used him since '13 with Hamburg, but I remember he was great in the air very consistent. Letting go of Nothe is quite unexpected, but at the same time you have Çiftçi so you shouldn't have any issues in the striker department! I agree with Rabbit on Hammar. I don't think he will be ready to contribute as much on the field. Having a 6'6" centre back is always good though so if you just force the opponent to attack on the wings and cross instead of attacking down the middle you'll be good! Lol

Keano - Some serious quality signings. Great upgrades in terms of the back line, with Reid definitely offering a lot of security and Clyne is fantastically OP at right back. Definitely expecting a lot of you this season. Will you try to win the Europa League or focus more on the BPL and try to earn as high a finish as possible? Or do you think you have the squad that can do both haha?
I'll try to get a couple of your videos in tomorrow when I'm on work experience if I'm not too busy. (Its the only place I can watch videos!)Comment

As for Hammar, I don't really expect him to ever be a starter for me, just wanted to have someone who is big and strong in case I get into a late game situation or something where the other team is forced to just play long balls into the box to try to come back. But if he ever does develop into something then he could be a solid player for me.
Ah, Nothe. I'm glad someone noticed that it was odd to sell him. I had no intention to, but things..... changed. During the window Çiftçi came and asked me to review his contract. He wanted a €30,000 raise from €10,000 to €40,000. Well, I didn't have that much to give. Obviously Çiftçi is a huge part of my future plans so I went in and looked at who my biggest wage earners were. Nothe was at €25,000, 28 years old, and Rubio Rubin had finally just gotten healthy again from missing about 2-3 months with a knee injury. So ultimately I didn't want to sell him, but my hand was forced given the circumstances. Was the first tough decision I've had to make in this career so far.Last edited by texasbum06; 01-22-2015, 05:10 PM.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
I wouldn't sell young Hipperdinger especially when they are trying to cheap out on the negotiations like it was a yard sale. Great job on holding your ground! I would keep him just because of his name. Seeing his jersey would make me chuckle every match lol
I had no idea why we call them Bosman signings either. First time I heard it was from Indi and everyone seemed to understand except me. I actually ended up researching it, and it turns out that the pre-contract agreements are legal thanks to a court decision back in the 90s that allows footballers to leave their club for free after their contract expires. What is the proper name of this court decision? The Bosman Ruling. Hence, Bosman Signings.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Dagenham '18-19 Season
Academy Products - Player Profile
Laurenço Vilna
Spoiler
Several media outlets out of East London report that the 18-year old phenom from Brazil is set to take over as the starting attacking midfielder for the Daggers this upcoming season. Vilna was initially signed to Dagenham's youth academy in April of 2016, a surprise finding by a scout with a 1-star rating. It didn't take long for Vilna to become the top-rated prospect in the academy and he requested to be promoted to the senior squad at the end of 2016. He came in rated at 65 OVR and immediately became a part of the team's main bench. He scored his first goal in the 34th league game of the season (Championship) at home against Leeds United, the Daggers' only goal in a 1-2 loss. He finished that season with 2 goals and 4 assists in just 16 apps.
Last season, as a 17-year old, Vilna established himself as a regular on the field. Often coming in as a sub for Axel Ngando, Vilna scored his first two goals of the season in back-to-back games against Everton and Cardiff City in November. Perhaps the best goal of his young career also came against Everton later on that season in January when The Toffees looked to spoil the Daggers' chances to reach the league lead. Everton led 3-1 until the 87th minute when Luke Wilkinson cut the lead with a header off a corner kick. Then in the 90th minute Alex Nimely broke through on a breakaway and hit a nice shot saved by the goalie but deflected towards the opposite side of him where Vilna, who had smartly trailed the play all the way, found the ball and put it at the back of the net for a thrilling 3-3 draw, a goal celebrated by the entire team/bench. The kid would score again two games later in a 3-0 win over Fulham. By the end of March club evaluators already rated the Brazilian as highly as Ngando and there were rumors of the club considering a promotion for the kid to the starting lineup. However, Ngando retained his starting spot during the remainder of the season with Vilna continuing to be heavily involved in each game plan. The kid finished the season with 4 goals and 1 assists in 40 apps.
Now by all accounts Vilna is set to become the starter at CAM. It's a logical choice considering his elite potential and the decision allowing the Daggers, a team with one of the lowest budgets in the Premier League, to use their limited funds elsewhere. It would be unfair to expect the top prospect to play heavy minutes this season but he will undoubtedly bring excitement to Daggers' games. He's constantly in excellent position when attacking and possesses superb ball control. He's also quite nifty dribbling with the ball and his finishing around the goal is somewhat underrated as he's able to finish with either foot despite being primarily right-footed. He already possesses the prettiest curve on the team on set plays and is a candidate to take over in both free kicks and corner kicks, and he also has some of the best skill moves on the team. The 18-year old is still developing as a passer but has flashed some really good signs this pre-season. With a significant increase in minutes this season it'll be interesting to see whether Vilna is able to help the offense go to a higher level (it won't hurt to have recently arrived Jurgen Locadia ahead of him) as well as to see how he continues to develop.
Projection: 6 goals, 10 assists. 50 apps.Last edited by vrabbit; 01-22-2015, 06:08 PM.vrabbit

Thanks! I'm glad you all liked my signings. I think that I can challenge for the Europa and a top 4 finish in the League. I think I have enough depth at striker and central midfield to rotate. Also providing no more than 2 of my CBs get injured I think I am fine there too. I have 2 decent options at LB and 3 at RB so I'm confident in that area. I've 2 quality keepers too and that always helps! We'll see in a few months where that stands and I'll decide whether to discard one of them or not.
I'll try to get a couple of your videos in tomorrow when I'm on work experience if I'm not too busy. (Its the only place I can watch videos!)
I'm a little behind on your updates because my phone usually crashes when I'm trying to read them especially when I'm not on wifi :/ today was a good day and it didn't take too long for my phone to get it's crap together though so I was able to read itfirst, Berahino and Bony are a deadly duo! If one isn't scoring the other one is! You demolished your way into the Europa League with a huge aggregate score so I think you'll have a great cup run. Bernat looks to be an incredible player for the future great find! Looking forward to seeing how the Spaniard does for you.

How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Haha thanks man! I got a real taste of Barca in the 2nd leg, that's when they really showed their power. For some reason Messi didn't start in either leg he came in as a sub in both. I'm sure that once we're in the same league Messi will be a definite starter and he will definitely give me hell. If I do get promoted this season, I do not expect a warm welcome from any of La Liga clubs.
Chico - I hate you sometimes. Takes me forever to beat Barca and you handle them in your first season. Thanks for showing me up. Never wanna hear you complain about my Boca signings again since I see you're doing the same for ChivasRamirez has decent potential so I hope he develops for you.
Lmao! That's funny because when I was actually reviewing Chivas' squad I was thinking "No I can't get more than one player from them I can only pick one" and then I said "Ah what the hell, Rabbit does it with Boca." Hahaha Barca showed me up in the second leg though so I still suffered against them! It was far from a walk in the park. Like I said above I'm sure playing them in the league will be far more difficult and that is where I will witness the true wrath of Messi.
Nice transfers, I like seeing you bring some Spanish players back to Spain. Also getting yourself a token Mexican for your squad. What an absolutely stunning two matches against Barca! Amazing, it's great to see you advance like that. Your squad is playing so well right now, and Guillermo of course continues to score as always. If you can take down Barca, you can take down Villarreal!
Haha a token Mexican! It was incredible to get a last minute goal to put me through on aggregate against Barca. Especially with a diving header on what looked like a bad cross initially. Guillermo has really surprised me this season. I'm glad the other teams wouldn't sell my striker targets in my first transfer window because I wouldn't have bought Guillermo if they had!
I'm also afraid of their midfield. Even without Herrera they still have amazing talent in the middle of the field. Once I get to La Liga I might be checking in on their roster regularly to see which midfielder gets the least amount of playing time and try to bring him to Osasuna. I have one in mind, but I doubt I'll get a transfer budget big enough to afford any first team quality in La Liga.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?
Dagenham '18-19 Season
Pre-Season Update
Budget: $11 million for tranfers, $80K for wages.
Objectives: Qualify for Champions, Quarter finals for local cup and Champions.
The Daggers return to the EPL this season with a much different outlook than a season ago. Whereas last summer Dagenham was the new kid on the block and expectations were mild at best, this season they are expected to be a team to reckon with after a surprising top-4 finish. Participating in several competitions (EPL, Community Shield, Capital One Cup, F.A. Cup, and Champions League) will test Dagenham's depth, arguably their biggest weakness a season ago. Luckily, even though it's still one of the league's lowest, our budget this season is significantly better than a year ago when our initial transfer budger was $1.3 million. As far as possible targets there have been discussions with FC Barcelona (Victor Andrade), Everton (Marko Livaja), FC Groningen (Richairo Živković), Brighton (Juan Duma), and Manchester United (Angelo Henriquez), but there is nothing concrete yet. Talks with Fulham regarding Abel Hernandez seem to have stalled.
A couple of new faces will be seen on the Daggers' starting lineup this season as Richard Paez confirmed to the media earlier today that 18-year old Brazilian phenom, Laurenço Vilna, has been tabbed as the team's starter at CAM. Incoming Dutch striker, Jurgen Locadia, will also be taking over at LS after agreeing to pre-contract last winter. Making the move to RS is Alex Nimely though there are serious indications that the team may be looking to add another striker to the roster. Roster moves till now have been as follows:
TRANSFERS OUT: Eric Tilea (CM, 57 OVR), loaned to Newport County for a full season. Xabi Lopez (CDM, 60 OVR), sold to KV Oostende for $170K. Goncalvo Guterres (CF, 56 OVR), loaned to Oxford United for a full season. Stefan Reichel (CDM, 68 OVR), sold to Middlesbrough for $1 million.
TRANSFER IN: None (yet).
I will share my thoughts on incoming/outgoing transfer in the next update after the transfer window closes. However I will note that multiple requests have come in for Yordy Reyna from 04 Leverkusen, Parma, Sampdoria, and Nott'm Forest, but no offer has blown us out of the water in order to get us to let go of last season's MVP.
Pre-Season Games
Dagenham - 1899 Hoffenheim (1-2)
Volland 11'
Caseres 14' (P)
Volland 69'
Recap: Coincidentally enough both clubs had had initial talks before this game about a possible move by Kevin Volland to Dagenham. However, his price tag was too high. He proved his worth in this game by scoring both of his team's goals in their victory against Dagenham's B team.
Borussia M'gladbach - Dagenham (3-3)
Kruse 27'
Locadia 44'
Herrmann 45'
Reyna 56'
Kruse 78'
Reyna 90'
Recap: Very entertaining back-and-forth game in Locadia's first action with his new club. He got his first goal in a Daggers' jersey towards the end of the first half but by the time the whistle blew for the rest period the hosts were still ahead 2-1. Yordy Reyna showed why he's been a highly sought after player this summer by leading the visitors to a draw, culminated by his goal in the 90th minute.
Dagenham - Hertha BSC (4-0)
Reyna 4'
Sarr 37'
Locadia 57'
Locadia 60'
Recap: Much like we did last season in a 5-1 win vs FC Nancy, we close out the pre-season with a strong effort against yet another German opponent. Locadia has settled in rather quickly with his new teammates and Vilna also had his best game of the pre-season with 2 assists.
Something that I think I failed to mention at the end of last season is that the income we had towards the end of the season was used to hire an additional scout in the GTN (highly rated) while we also parted ways with our lowest rated youth scout and hired a new English scout. Our youth scouts are now Danny Harriott (4-star experience, 5-star judgement), who is our most recent hire, Gavin Byrne (3-star, 3-star) from Ireland and Kelvin Purkiss (2-star, 2-star) also from England. The board is waiting until after the transfer window to decide on where to send these scouts depending on the budget available. For now here's the youth squad:
- Fernando Romero (LW, 64-70 OVR, 88-94 POT): 16-year old from Uruguay who is undoubtedly our top prospect at the moment. There's a chance he will be played at striker in which case he could contribute as early as this season, but he'd probably benefit more from a full season in the academy.
- Dean Murphy (LM, 64-68, 81-87): 17-year old from Ireland who projects as a complete midfielder. Technically gifted.
- Nathan Kenny (RM, 63-67, 83-89): 17-year old from Ireland also described as technically gifted and also projecting as a complete midfielder.
- Sean Foran (LM, 62-66, 83-89): 15-year old from Ireland who is the fastest out of all the Irishmen in the academy. Our midfield could be 75% Irish in the near future.
- Fabrice Mengual (RM, 56-60 78-84): 16-year old playmaker from France who actually projects as more of a CAM.
- Pablo Escobar (CAM, 60-64, 74-80): 17-year old from Venezuela who was the most improved in the academy this past season. If he can repeat that this season he will certainly earn promotion.
- Matthieu Maupay (CAM, 57-61, 74-80)*: 15-year old from France finally settled in at a position. Described as an attacker.
- Ciaran Kavanagh (CM, 58-62, 72-78): 16-year old from Ireland who also projects as a CAM.
- Magnus Gerndt (RW, 53-57, 72-78): 16-year old from Sweden who may not progress much more in the academy unless he remains there for another full season.
- Cesar Miguel (CDM, 52-56, 72-78): 16-year old from Venezuela who is defensive minded. He needs another season in the academy.
* Denotes recent addition to the academy.

Group A
Poland - Venezuela (2-3)
Salamon 14'
Monzon 63' (P)
L. Gonzalez 71'
Rondon 76'
Salamon 82'
Recap: Thrilling game between the two teams most like fighting for 2nd place in the group to advance to the next round. Barosz Salamon got Poland ahead early on, an important lead considering the Polish team needed only a draw to advance thanks to their better goal differential. Venezuela continued to cautiously attack and finally forced Poland, Salamon actually, into a mistake in the box that resulted in a penalty kick which Dagenham-product Fernando Monzon calmly converted. It was a Venezuelan avalanche from there as Luis Gonzalez and Salomon Rondon quickly scored 2 more goals to give Venezuela a solid lead that was cut to 1 in the 82nd minute by Salamon. Another Polish goal would had put the Europeans onto the next round, but instead the South American team making its World Cup debut moves on.

Round of 16
Spain - VenezuelaSpoiler(4-1)
SpoilerAristeguieta 7'
Jese Rodriguez 21'
Jese Rodriguez 32'
Rodrigo 82'
Rodrigo 87'
Recap: Close, but no cigar. After shocking the world in the 7th minute by going ahead we were unable to contend the onslaught of attack that the Spaniards brought, led by a highly talented Jese who equalized the game with a beautiful cross shot in the box then put Spain ahead on a header in between two defenders on a jump ball just outside the small box. Venezuela, to their credit, created several chances thereafter but none came to fruition and towards the end Rodrigo, who subbed in for Jese, put the nails on the coffin for Richard Paez's squad. Venezuela exits the World Cup with their heads up high after advancing from a difficult group in their World Cup debut. Just too tough of a draw here.
Spoiler
Round of 16: England over Colombia, Uruguay over New Zealand, Italy over United States, Russia over Germany (PK's), Argentina over Netherlands, Denmark over France, and Brasil over Turkey.
Quarters: England over Uruguay, Italy over Russia, Spain over Argentina, and Brazil over Denmark.

SCF - Schmid 45', Rodallega 47'
STP - Gunter 9' (OG), Çiftçi 18', Rubin 58', Storm 76'
MOTM: Çiftçi
Çiftçi went to cross the ball into the box and Gunter got his foot to it and knocked it into his own goal. Rubin threaded the ball through to Çiftçi and he struck back to the left post to extend the lead. Schmid lost his man and got open on the back post and received the ball for the quick shot on the near post. Rodallega beat the defender to a loose ball and struck it first time past the keeper to tie it up. Çiftçi then dribbled down to the end line and sent a cross in to return the favor for Rubin to tap in for his first goal back from injury. Gatt found Storm running free down the left side and laid the ball off for him to finish to the right post.
FC St. Pauli 4 - FC Koln 1
STP - Thy 20', Çiftçi 67', 81', 90'
KOE - Risse 5' (Pen)

Buchtmann put a cross into the box and Çiftçi had his shot blocked by the defender, and then the follow blocked by the keeper, but got the third try off the last rebound to take the lead. Thy attacked on the counter and slowed it down to switch it across to Çiftçi for a strong strike past the keeper. Thy then played a perfect ball over the top for Çiftçi to trap the ball on the run and strike it to the far left post for his hat-trick.

St. Pauli Player of the Month
Nadir Çiftçi
Nadir Çiftçi becomes the first St. Pauli player under Tex Bumosix to take home back-to-back player of the month awards. His 4 goals in 3 matches was a leading force this month, and that includes being subbed out at half against Stuttgart due to injury. His hat-trick against Koln was his first of the season, and led to St. Pauli's first win over Koln after a loss last season, and one earlier this year.
Press Conference
Q: You have moved into the top 4 now after a perfect month taking all 9 points available. What is the cause of your success so far?
A: The first two matches our attack was unstoppable, scoring 4 goals in each. Çiftçi was a huge factor in that and was just terrorizing the back line by running at the all match. The last match against Stuttgart came down to defense. A 1-0 win is beautiful in my mind, and when our defense plays like that we are tough to beat.
Q: Your next month looks to be tough with matches against Schalke, Bayern Munich, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and cross town rivals Hamburger SV. Do you feel that your club is up for the challenge?
A: We are in great form right now, and it couldn't be better timing with this rough stretch coming up. We just need to focus on our game. Play defense, press the attack, and hopefully come out ahead in the end.
Q: Your first match of next month will be the quarter-final of the Deutscher Pokal against FC Ingolstadt. They are a second division team, but one that you are familiar with having played them twice last season. What do you need to do to advance to the semi-final?
A: Once again, it all comes down to playing our game. We know this opponent well having been in the second division with them just last season, so we know what type of football they try to play. We played a much different style last season, so we will be throwing an entirely different look at them for this match than what they have seen from us in the past. I have faith in the players to go out and take care of business and get us to the semi-final.

Truthfully yeah it's quite boring, right now I just want to speed through the championship and get to the BPL where I know that I won't win nearly as many games and kind of hoping I beat Hull in the capital one cup semi finals so I get european competion because then it will really be a challenge next year.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
February 2015 - Season 1
FIFA 15 (PS4)
Copa Del Rey - Semifinal (1st Leg)
CA Osasuna 2 - 1 Villarreal CF
OSA: Guillermo 45' 61'
VIL: Uche 65'
Osasuna have started the semifinal fixture with an advantage, but with an undeserved win. The match was dominated by Villarreal who controlled possession and outshot Osasuna, but in the end Los Rojillos made their chances count and finished with the win. Guillermo would strike first for the Basques with an incredible shot from outside the box that was impossible for the Villarreal keeper to reach. Guillermo would get his second shot and second goal of the match in the 61st minute, only for Uche to get one back four minutes later with an outstanding curved shot from the edge of the box assisted by Gio Dos Santos. Osasuna would defend with their lives for the rest of the match as Villarreal went all out attack and gave Osasuna no space whatsoever even to get the ball past the midfield line. Osasuna tried to attack but the Yellow Submarine was all over the pitch. Villarreal had 2 goals ruled offside in the final minutes of the match, which sparked controversy in sports media since those two goals would have given Villarreal the win which they undoubtedly deserved.
CA Osasuna (B-Team) 1 - 0 CD Mirandes
OSA: Luque 84'
It looked like the goal would never come as the team from the bottom of the table Mirandes played extraordinary defense and were very close to putting Osasuna farther away from the league leaders. Mirandes' goalkeeper was making it impossible for Osasuna blocking everything shot towards goal, just like Gimenez in the Osasuna - Real Betis match. Six minutes before the end of the match, the loanee Julian Luque received the ball on the left side of the box, cut in to his right, and took a powerful shot that went directly at the goalkeeper but with too much power behind it which kept the keeper from reacting in time. That goal was all Osasuna were able to do, and regardless of how much they suffered in the 90 minutes they took the 3 points which keeps them pressuring Real Valladolid at the top of the table.
Copa Del Rey - Semifinal (2nd Leg)
Villarreal CF 1(2) - 3(5) CA Osasuna
VIL: Albentosa OG 9'
OSA: Guillermo 12' 58' Onwu 83'
This match was completely different than the first leg, with Villarreal were much less dangerous going forward and Osasuna with much more space to work with. The match started bad for Osasuna as Raul Albentosa scored an own goal which equalized the aggregate scoreline putting Villarreal ahead on away goals. Three minutes later Guillermo made up for him though, and scored an amazing goal assisted by Oier. Oier sent a through ball that bounced into the box and Guillermo volleyed the ball into the net with great power and placement. Thirteen minutes into the second half Guillermo would strike again putting Osasuna in the lead and a step closer to the final. Villarreal pushed forward in search for the win but Manuel Onwu, who replaced Guillermo in the second half, would score Osasuna's third goal which ultimately would end all of Villarreal's hopes of coming back. Club Atletico Osasuna have reached the Copa Del Rey Final for the 2nd time in their history!!!
FC Barcelona B 2 - 3 CA Osasuna (B-Team)
FCB: Dongou 9' 40'
OSA: Loe 45' Onwu 47' Palacios 87'
Osasuna's first team defeated Barcelona in the cup, now it was up to the B team to defeat Barcelona B in the league and they did so just in the final minutes of the match. Chavez tried to shake things up with the B team by switching to a 4-2-3-1, but he quickly regretted the decision as Barcelona B dominated the match and their #9 Dongou was tearing the defense apart scoring two goals in the first half and getting closer and closer to completing a hat-trick. After the second goal, Chavez went back to the 4-1-3-2 the B team has been using, and it immediately showed improvement as the Cameroon international Loe received the ball inside the box and powered the ball into the net right before halftime. Two minutes into the second half Manuel Onwu scored the equalizer by sprinting past his former Osasuna teammate Vujadinovic and beat the keeper one on one. The game was much more balanced now, and Barcelona B's Dongou was having a tougher time getting past Osasuna's defensive midfielder Loe and the two centre backs Miquel and Echaide. Osasuna pushed forward, three points a must at this stage, and just 3 minutes before the final whistle the loanee Federico Palacios scored the winner! Palacios was subbed in during the final minutes of the match to add more offensive players to the attack, and he surely impressed by succeeding. Palacios tried to make a wall pass with Onwu, but the ball was tackled away by one of the defenders. Fortunately for Palacios, the tackle sent the ball directly towards Palacios path and he was able to take a first-touch shot which beat the keeper and made it to the back of the net. The young Spaniard has hit the ground running at Osasuna as he strives to impress not only his current club, but his parent club as well.
CA Osasuna 1 - 1 CD Leganes
LEG: Eraso 72'
OSA: Onwu 86'
Osasuna's first team made their return to league play and the fans expected them to get an easy win after defeating teams like Barcelona and Villarreal in the cup, but the team from the bottom of the table played with their hearts and were extremely close to taking the win from Osasuna's El Sadar. Leganes made life impossible for Osasuna's attackers as they closed down all the spaces and made it their mission to stop the ball from getting to Guillermo. Leganes didn't have many opportunities to score, but they made their chance in the 72nd minute count with Eraso scoring a header from a corner kick. Osasuna became very desperate at this point as they need to accumulate points in every match if they wish to catch up to Real Valladolid on the table. The RW Sisi was moved to LB and Cadamuro was subbed off so that Ramirez could play RW. With this tactical move, Osasuna became very dangerous down the wings with plenty of crosses being sent into the box, but Guillermo was marked so well we couldn't get his head to any of them. Chavez decided to take Guillermo out of the match, as he had been completely neutralized the entire game, and put in his place Manuel Onwu, a taller striker with more aerial presence. The change paid off, as Onwu quickly got 3 shots on goal in his first minutes of the match, Guillermo only had 2. The goal wouldn't come until the 86th minute though, as the Leganes made the mistake of trying to lob the ball to his left back who was marked tightly by Ramirez. Ramirez would intercept the ball with a first-touch pass to Onwu who sprinted into the open box and beat the rushing keeper with a strong shot. The scoreline was disappointing for Osasuna given their league position difference with Leganes, but one point is better than no points.
AD Alcorcon 1 - 3 CA Osasuna
ADA: Mayor 39'
OSA: Guillermo 55' 71' Cuevas 83'
OSA: Torres RED CARD 51'
Rabbit's tactical approach has really complicated things for Chavez this season. The first team the two managers faced each other ended in a draw and now Chavez took the win, but the first 55 minutes of the match was all Alcorcon. Alcorcon defended really tight, with solid organization between the midfield and defensive line. Alcorcon took the lead first in the 39th minute when Osasuna's Albentosa tried to clear the ball but it hit Alcorcon's Mayor and the ball bounced past Riesgo and into the net. Alcorcon would continue to pressure Osasuna even after the goal, and Chavez really did look helpless on the sidelines as he tried to figure out what was going wrong with his players. Things got even worse in the 51st minute when Roberto Torres was given a second yellow card in the middle of the field and was sent off. The resulting free kick would actually spark a counter attack from Osasuna as the defenders cleared the free kick cross and Guillermo controlled the ball in midfield. With only two players left at the back for Alcorcon, Guillermo dribbled past one and then sprinted past the other, leaving him on one with the goalkeeper which he beat with a weak, but well placed shot into the net! A man down but finally with a goal on the scoreboard. Oddly enough, Osasuna were actually playing better with a man down, and in the 71st minute Guillermo struck again to make give Osasuna the lead! Now it was Rabbit who was shouting at his players to get their head back in the game. Alcorcon went all out attack and threatened to equalize the match by attacking with numbers, but the decision to push forward was a risky one with a fast winger like Ramirez on the field now, who was able to dribble past his marker in the final minutes of the match and sprint down the right wing. Ramirez crossed the ball into the box which Guillermo wasn't able to reach and the ball went over his head, but landed on Cuevas' feet who controlled the ball and shot with his inside foot to give Osasuna the 3-1 win! An 11-man Osasuna was a piece of cake for Rabbit and Alcorcon, but a 10-man Osasuna was too much for him. Regardless, the two managers shook hands and hugged it out on the field after the match.
CA Osasuna Player of The Month
ST - Guillermo (Spain) (71 OVR 21yrs) (+3)
The award was late this month, because the staff and directors weren't able to decide on one player in time and had to recast the votes a second time to make the final decision between a player from the first team and a player from the B team. In the end, Guillermo deservedly received his 2nd Player of The Month award this season. After being inactive in the league due to cup matches last month and the majority of this month as well, Guillermo was close to losing his leadership in the league top scorer table but he was able to score two goals at the end of the month to remain as the league's top striker. Guillermo also netted 4 of the 5 goals scored against Villarreal in the cup that ultimately placed Osasuna in the Final, and simultaneously became the cup's top scorer as well. Other teams in Europe have taken notice of Guillermo's goal scoring abilities, and Osasuna received several offers in the last transfer window but Guillermo did not want to leave and Chavez didn't want to let him go either. The biggest offer was a $9.5million cash offer from England's West Ham United, but it was quickly denied by Osasuna. The Spaniard made the sacrifice of leaving La Liga to join the ambitious Liga Adelante side this season, but if he keeps up his incredible form he may well return to La Liga in a few months and as a striker to watch out for.
Liga Adelante League Table
1. Real Valladolid - 66 points
2. CA Osasuna - 62 points
3. Real Betis - 55 points
4. UD Las Palmas - 53 points
5. Girona CF - 47 points
6. Deportivo Alaves - 46 points

15. CD Lugo - 33 points
16. AD Alcorcon - 30 points
----------
20. CD Leganes - 26 points
21. CD Mirandes - 24 points
22. UE Llagostera - 20 points
Liga Adelante Top Scorer
1. Guillermo (Osasuna) - 14 Goals
2. Andriatsima (Ponferradina) - 12 Goals
Dongou (Barca B) - 12 Goals

CA Osasuna Top Scorer
1. Guillermo - 23 Goals

February Headlines
Making History
Chavez has been at the club for less than a year, but he's already making history by leading Osasuna to only their 2nd Copa Del Rey Final in Osasuna's entire history! The first and only time Osasuna reached the final was in the 2004/2005 season, which they lost to Real Betis in extra time. This year Osasuna will not face Real Betis, but the Spanish giants Real Madrid. Osasuna defeated FC Barcelona in the Quarter Finals, but how will they cope against Barcelona's rivals and arguably the best team in Spain this year? Real Madrid is a team that always strives to win trophies, so we are not expecting them to hold anything back even against a Liga Adelante club like Osasuna. The Cup Final is scheduled to be played in May.
Osasuna Youth Academy Is Back
After the club was relegated and Chavez was named the new manager, the Basque's youth academy in Pamplona had to be put on hold while the club used their financial resources in rebuilding the squad for promotion. With both of this year's transfer windows over and done with, Osasuna have officially announced that they will now resume the development of youth players through the academy with a new 3-star scout, with the first report expected to come this upcoming March. Osasuna is a club that puts a strong emphasis on promoting youth players to the first team, so we expect Chavez to do the same.
Time To Make a Decision
Chavez has taken a different approach to squad rotation by using an alternative lineup, or a B team, to even out the match responsibilities this year, often using the First Team in priority matches and the B team in less important matches. For example, the B team played the early stages of the Copa Del Rey and then the First Team took over in the later stages of the cup. In May, Chavez will have to make a decision and choose what he wants the most: the league, or the cup. One would be safe to assume that Chavez will use the first team to play Real Madrid in the final; hoping to make history and win Osasuna's first ever Copa Del Rey. However, after the cup final Osasuna will have only 2 rest days before facing Real Valladolid; the league leaders. Osasuna have been chasing Real Valladolid on the league table for months now, always losing or drawing when a win would put them in first. Two rest days is not enough for the players to get back to 100%, and Chavez will need them at 100% to face both Real Madrid and Real Valladolid. Using the B team against Real Madrid would most surely be throwing the cup away, but using the B team against Real Valladolid would also be at risk of losing any possibility of winning the league title. The match against Real Valladolid is the second-to-last game of the season, so if Chavez was to lose that match there wouldn't be enough time to climb back up the league table.
--------------------
Well, that's all for this month and I must ask you: what do you think Chavez should do? Go for the cup or go for the league? There is still two months left to play and a lot could change in those months. Maybe Osasuna end up dropping down to a playoff spot, where one match against Real Valladolid wouldn't make a difference. Or perhaps Osasuna catch up and only 1 point separates them from Real Valladolid, in which case a win against them would be vital. Please note, that choosing to use the First Team in either the Real Madrid match or the Real Valladolid match does not guarantee a victory, just like choosing to use the B team in either does not guarantee a defeat. There is still more than enough time to make a decision, but I would like to hear what your thoughts are!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Going through all these posts has taken quite some effort, but it was well worth the time. As usual, everyone's done a smashing job with their clubs.
Tex, you got off to such a poor start with St. Pauli, so it's amazing to see you flying high in the Bundesliga in your first season there. Safe to say that your team has been riding on Ciftci's goals, and he's proven the beast that you expected him to be. I hope you go on to secure top four.
Rabbit, that's a mean transfer budget for Dagenham. You're definitely not going to be getting anyone of the Reus or Robben quality, but that should let you sign a couple of very good players. Vilna should do the business for you, too. Looks like he could be a superstar in another 2-3 seasons. Shame about losing to Liverpool with the other team, though. Have I missed any other Alcorcon updates? I didn't come across any recent ones.
Kenny, life seems to be going well with Everton, but I have no clue where you are on the table.
Simppu, pretty insane. I saw you won the treble as expected, and then to bring in Bale was a masterstroke. Like Rabbit, I also would like to express my surprise that you are winning every game without any sort of challenge. Long may it continue.
SHoward, that's a shame what happened with the wire. Worst part is you can't even get mad at her because... well, you know. Rabbit knows, too. Okay, pretty much anyone with a wife/girlfriend knows.
Keano, I'm loving the Stambouli signing. Ridiculous how you got him that cheap! When I asked about him during my Nantes career, I was instantly told I'd need to pay a ridiculously high fee a.k.a. get lost. Good start to the season, too.
Falaph, you're just owning the Championship. I understand that feeling entirely. The PL should present a tougher challenge, and there's always the option of moving to a higher difficulty. For now, just worry about getting to the top.
Chico, I'm loving the Albentosa signing. I think he's one of the finest Spanish defenders at the moment. Derby have signed him in the real world, and I think it pretty much will be the addition that helps them move to the PL. Great win over Barcelona, and you're doing well enough that promotion is a realistic target.
Moose, as usual, I haven't had enough time to get down to watching your recent videos. Last one I saw had the Suarez transfer and your 1-0 loss to Stoke, which was ridiculous. Bogey teams are definitely a real thing in this year's game. Do you notice any difference in gameplay when you're logged out of EASFC?
Jamie, well done on getting the England job. Enjoy the poisoned chalice! I see you're also doing well with Newcastle. Good to see them get the success a club their size merits.
Cruzerr, love the writing style. But I agree with what was said. Get some games in, man!
Sorry if I've forgot or missed out on anyone. Not intentional!Comment
