Thanks! Everything went right in that Chelsea game and it felt really good. Im hoping I can lush on that little bit more and qualify for the Champions League or maybe even the title if I can get a good enough run going. McCann has been a real good find! His Potential was actually 84-94 for a good few months before this month when it went up to 88-94!!! Can't wait to use him and some others from the academy.

Also looking forward to the update on Monzon!!

      The Wednesday: August 2014

      August 7, Middlewood

"You better watch your tone with me, lad. I might not be your dad's age, but I am the head coach of this club, and you bloody will respect me."

"Why don't you take your tidy little designation and shove it up your a*se, you uppity b*stard?"

"Get out. Get out now. Go home, and don't come back here."

Bloody upstart. Lewis Buxton had to go after that conversation. I told the chairman immediately that I would not tolerate players undermining my authority.

"And that's why he has to go, Mr. Mandaric. I think you will agree with me."

"Of course. Though are you sure the relationship cannot be mended?"

"Sir, I can't be seen extending an olive branch to a player who's used abusive language towards me in front of his teammates and coaches. It's a sign of weakness. Nor am I willing to."

      "Suppose the player apologises?"

"I doubt that will happen, and anyway, I'm not inclined to accept an apology for something of this nature."

"Very well, then. We'll ask him to find a new club."

      "I appreciate the support, sir."

Lewis Buxton to Leicester City, £1 million

      Capitol One Cup: Round 1
      BLP 1-3 SHW
      88' Davies
      4' Coke, 61' Maguire, 72' May
      MotM: G. Coke (SHW)

"Oh, come on! What do you mean he's not fit to play?"

"Sorry, boss, but that's the situation. He's been throwing up nonstop since morning."

      "Drink?"

"Definitely not. This one's a stomach bug. It should pass by tomorrow or day after."

"Right. We'll put Loovens on instead. And tell that Claude he's not to eat anything but salads and grilled chicken for the next week. I need him fit as soon as possible."

It was bad news from my assistant Lee Bullen, the Scot who played for Wednesday from 2004-08, who I'd kept on as a coach when I took over from Stuart Gray. Claude Dielna had impressed me enough in training that I was ready to play him in my first competitive match, but it just wasn't meant to be. I wasn't too worried, as Glen Loovens has ample experience in high-pressure games. I was sure we would do well.

"Come on, lads. First game of the season. We're not going to f*ck this up, are we?"

      "Come on the Wednesday!"

      "That's it! We'll show those Lancaster b*stards what's what!"

I knew making Tommy Lees my captain would be a masterstroke. Just look at him building the fire. And oh, how it worked. Giles Coke banged one in with just four minutes on the clock. About an hour later, Chris Maguire sends a free kick flying into the top corner. Oh my, what a well-hit strike that one was! I went bananas!"

"He's not going to make this one, Lee. What's he playing at?"

      "Wait for it, boss."

      "BLOODY HELL, YES!"

And then Stevie May wrong-footed the keeper and passed into an empty net, but that 3-0 made my boys just a wee bit too happy. We lost our concentration when we needed it most, and Steve Davies picked up a consolation goal. Still, we won, and we're up against Norwich in the second round early next month. That'll be a cracker, but first we have to host them in the league in three days. Time to start preparing.

      FL Championship: Matchday 1
      SHW 1-1 NOR
      25' Drenthe
      44' Hooper
      MotM: J. Mattock (SHW)

"So when he drops back, don't fall into the trap. You move into that space, two men will squeeze you from both sides. If you see him ease off, get the ball to the wings right away."

"Got it, boss. One question, though. What if they've got the wings covered?"

"You send it back to Westwood, and he starts the move all over again. We keep trying until they f*ck up, and believe me, they will."

Norwich are probably one of the toughest sides in the league, along with Fulham and Reading. Nathan Redmond is a handful, and they have Cameron Jerome and Gary Hooper up top to bang in the goals. I'm not too sure we can come away with anything from this one, but you can bet we'll give it 100% to make sure we do.

"Come on, mate. Pass. Pass. Pass the f*cking ball! YES! YEEEEES!"

Royston Drenthe had poked one in after Chris Maguire had beaten three men all by himself. It was something Redmond would have been proud of pulling off himself, and it looked that way when I saw him two feet away from me, staring in disbelief at how he'd given the ball way so cheaply to let that counter-attack begin. Unfortunately for us, Hooper got on the end of a corner kick just before halftime, and our job for the second half going in at the break was much tougher.

"It's okay, lads. This scoreline is more beneficial to us than it is to them. We have them on the backseat. They know we can play at their level, and they've been rattled. Now you lot need to strike the last blow. Do not let them into the box, even if it means we end this game 1-1. I don't want them scoring another goal at ANY cost."

It seems they took my words quite seriously. Joe Mattock got a yellow for hauling Jerome down outside the box, and the lad had to go off clutching his knee. I don't think it was anything malicious, but we did come away with a point against one of the divison's best teams, so I have no problem with the result. A first win can wait.

      84' Kermorgant
      13' A. Smith (OG), 31' McCabe
      MotM: A. Boruc (BOU)

"You can't be serious! That's not an own goal if their boy was offside when the whole thing began!"

"Oh, Eddie. Let the referees do their jobs in peace. Don't need you interfering."

"Shut it, you little tw*t. I'll say what I like."

"Come on then, shut me up yourself. Give it to me, big man!"

"Gentlemen, you're both head coaches. Now start behaving like you ought to, or I'm sending you both to the stands!"

Bloody idiot wouldn't know offside if it the definition were written across his wife's fat backside, not that the cheating b*stard ever looks at it. It was an own goal without question, though I'd have liked for Stevie May to get it instead. One of our lads finally got his name on the score sheet later on, when Rhys McCabe got on the end of a perfect cross. Their keeper was fantastic in the second half, denying us again and again. The mad fellow even hit a long ball late on, picking up the assist for their goal. That's the second time in three games that we've thrown a clean sheet out the window in the last 10 minutes. We have to work on that. We're not Arsenal.

      FL Championship: Matchday 3
      SHW 2-1 CHA
      84' Coke, 88' Lavery
      81' Tucudean
      MotM: K. Westwood (SHW)

"I think it was a very fair game. Things were back and forth for much of the 90 minutes, but it became obvious towards the latter stages that both sides wanted to go for the win. That's the danger of a match going into the last 15-20 minutes at 0-0, because you never know what's going to happen. Three goals in seven minutes was today's surprise, after 80 without any score. But we showed some very good character to respond twice after going 1-0 down, and I'm very proud of my players."

I had kind words for the press, of course. But the truth is I was quite upset we hadn't won 2-0 or 3-0. Westwood did a fantastic job in goal today, and I think he was sort of let down towards the end by Loovens. I might need to play around with who I choose in defence next time. Dielna should get a look in one of these days, perhaps even against Norwich. I know it sounds overly demanding, but my defenders have got to stop switching off towards the end of a game. It's going to cost us points eventually, and when it does, this dressing room will not be a good place to spend your time.

      August 31, Middlewood

Just when I needed some downtime after that heart-stopping game against Charlton, I have this deadline day crap to deal with. Wenger's got the right idea there. Why can't this all be done with before the bloody season begins? Now I have to sit here and listen to Chris Kirkland moan about wanting to be first-choice goalkeeper.

"So it's not about money, boss. Not at all. In fact, I'll take a pay cut if it means I get to play more often. In fact, I want to be the first choice."

"Look, Chris. Keiren has done well in training. He has recent Premier League experience, he's young, he's hungry. And to be quite honest, he's better than you are."

"I can accept all that, boss. But I still need to be first option."

"Well, it's not going to happen here. And I'm afraid it's a bit too late for us to be searching for a replacement keeper. Perhaps in January."

"I had a feeling you'd say that. You know Alex Smithies over at Huddersfield has put in a transfer request?"

      "Is that so?"

"You know my agent has been approached by them as a replacement?"

"Fine, I'll ask Leon to call them and see what happens."

Two hours later, he was off to Huddersfield Town along with a cheque, and Alex Smithies was having his medical at Middlewood. Who would have every thought this would be the case on the last day of the month? No wonder it's called silly season!

"Just so you know, boss, I'm completely aware that I'll need to earn my place. I know I have a job to do."

"That's right, lad. But you keep that attitude up, and there's no reason why you shouldn't get a fair crack at things."

Seems like a good lad. As are the five boys we signed on loan. Two full backs, three central midfielders. Three from the Premier League, one from the Championship, one from Cagliari in Serie A. I expect them all to do well when called upon, which should be quite often given the number of games we have this season.

"Boss, the boys from Newcastle and Manchester are here."

      "Good, send them in, Charlie."

      Chris Kirkland to Huddersfield Town

      Todd Kane from Chelsea, loan
Declan John from Cardiff City, loan
      Godfred Donsah from Cagliari, loan
      Gael Bigirimana from Newcastle, loan
Seko Fofana from Manchester City, loan
Alex Smithies from Huddersfield, £350k + Kirkland

All EA care about is the amount of money they make on Ultmate team
Yeah, the Glen Johnson thing is weird however I severely disagree with you. Andrea Pirlo has gotten better with age, Zlatan is one of the best in the world well into his 30's. Ronaldo is 29 and has just won the Ballon D'Or. Robben has improved recently and it 31. Even going back further in time, Sir Stanley Matthews was playing at the highest level in his 50's. EA have made it more realistic.

          Millwall Season 1 April:

          Matchday 38:

          Millwall – Watford (1-0)
          • 80’ Ciftci (Nicholls) (1-0)

Recap: The game between Millwall and Watford were mainly played in the middle of the park with not a lot of chances in the game. But after a long goal kick from Lee Nicholls to Nadir Ciftci, Millwall managed to score the only goal of the game.

MOTM: Lee Nicholls: had a good game saving every shot fired towards him to keep a clean sheet and also assisted to the goal which is quite unusual for a goalkeeper

          Matchday 39:

Bournemouth – Millwall (0-1) (Reserve team)
          • 15’ Gregory (0-1)
Recap: The game between Bournemouth and Millwall was a really boring game were pretty much all the play was in the middle of the park bur Millwall managed to scire a goal early in the game and then kept a clean sheet.

MOTM: Lee Gregory: Stole the ball from a defender and then slot the ball past the goalkeeper for the only goal of the game.

          Matchday 40:

          Blackburn – Millwall (0-2)
          • 11’ Ciftci (PK) (0-1)
          • 48’ Lingard (Trapp) (0-2)

Recap: Millwall dominated this game against Blackburn from start to finish mainly thanks to an amazing performance from the central midfielders who dominated the middle of the field.

MOTM: Wil Trapp: The American defensive midfielder had a great game in which he protected the back four extremely well as well as assisted to one of the goal.

          Matchday 41:

Millwall – Charlton (4-1) (Reserve team)
          • 38’ Cowan-Hall (1-0)
          • 59’ Pigott (1-1)
          • 75’ Gregory (Martinez)(2-1)
          • 89’ Gregory (Martinez)(3-1)
          • 90’ Gregory (Marquis) (4-1)

Recap: Despite Millwall not playing as good as usual the managed to get a very convincing win if you look at the score line which is thanks to their striker Lee Gregory’s amazing performance this game in which he scored a hat trick.

MOTM: Lee Gregory: Scored three goals and by that handed Millwall the win pretty much single-handily.

          FA – Cup Semifinal: (Wembley)

          Manchester City – Millwall (1-2)
          • 19’ Cataldi (Lingard) (0-1) Screamer from 45 yards via deflection and the bar in.
          • 24’ Ciftci (PK) (0-2)
          • 34’ Toure (1-2)

Recap: Millwall started the game very well and after 24 minutes they were 2-0 up thanks to a lucky deflection and a very debatable penalty after Ciftci fell in a duel with Kompany at the edge of the penalty area. However after the 24 minute it was City who totally dominated the game with Toure scoring in the 34 and after that they had five shots that hit the goal frame so Millwall was very lucky to get way with a win in this game.

MOTM: Nacir Ciftci: The Millwall striker had a good game in which he was key to the win thanks to him being able to keep hold of the ball when Millwall needed to move up field to get away from the pressure that City put at them.

          Matchday 42:

Millwall – Blackpool (4-1) (Reserve team)
          • 16’ Gregory (PK) (1-0)
          • 27’ Cywka (1-1)
          • 39’ Gregory (Cowan-Hall) (2-1)
          • 58’ Upson (FK) (3-1)
          • 90’ Carson (Martinez) (4-1)

Recap: The reserves in Millwall had a great game at home against Blackpool; they dominated the game which the score line of 4-1 shows. That the Millwall reserves managed to win a league game this convincing and not for the first time this season shows how dominant they are in the league.

MOTM: Lee Gregory: The Millwall striker had yet another great game in which he scored 2; he has been truly amazing this month with 6 goals in 3 games

          Matchday 43:

          Nottingham Forest – Millwall (1-3)
          • 2’ Martin (Ciftci) (0-1)
          • 54’ Trapp (Martin) (0-2)
          • 79’ Ciftci (PK) (0-3)
          • 82’ Antonio (1-3)

Recap: Millwall had a great game away against championship powerhouse Nottingham Forest that is hunting promotion to the BPL this season. Millwall had quite an easy game which is probably thanks to them getting such an early goal which made Nottingham forced to go forward and that gave Millwall good counter-attacking opportunities which they were really effective in which shows by that they only shot 3 shots and scored with all of them.

MOTM: Lee Martin: The wide midfielder had a great game in which he both scored and assisted and it was mainly thanks to his early goal that Millwall had such an easy game against Nottingham.

          Matchday 44:

Huddersfield – Millwall (1-3) (Reserve team)
          • 10’ Hoban (Martinez) (0-1)
          • 22’ Wells (1-1)
          • 83’ Gregory (Cowan-Hall) (1-2)
          • 90’ Carson (1-3)

Recap:Top of the table Millwall faced relegation threatened Huddersfield and the game went like you would expect with Millwall claiming the win comfortably.

MOTM:Lee Gregory: The striker had a good game and scored a goal and in this game were no player really performed extremely well it was enough to get him the man of the match award.

FL Championship table: (After March: 44 Games)
          1. Millwall – 124 Points
          2. Norwich – 80 Points

          3. Gomes (Watford) 12 Clean Sheets

          April recap:

Millwall had a great month with win after win, with the most impressive one was against Manchester City in the FA – cup semi-final which has now taken us to the second cup final this year and it is against Stoke City which also makes it possible for us to win the treble which would be completely amazing.

          Player of the month:

Lee Gregory: The reserve striker had an completely amazing month with a lot of goals that has now taken him to the second place in the top scorer list only behind Nadir Ciftci despite not even playing half of the games in the league this season.

                Glory Glory Man United

                February 2018

                Manchester United 0 - 0 Fulham FC

"A horrific performance by our strongest starting eleven against this third-bottom team. We got what we deserved because the players didn't look interested and they didn't try hard enough. The result is still a joke."

                Manchester United 1 - 0 Newcastle
                Benzema 90'

"For the second time in two games we were terrible. We had only three shots in the whole game and two of those hit the crossbar. Newcastle had more possession and I'm very disappointed in our playing."

                Manchester United 1 - 1 Swansea City
                Bale 59'
                Montero 50'

"Alright, something is seriously wrong here. Five points from three games is atrocious, especially when all of those three games were against bad teams. If that wasn't enough we lost Arturo Vidal for three weeks. We are Manchester United, the best team in the world, and we can't beat a team full of shepherds and their sheep."

                Round of 16
                Leeds United 0 - 5 Manchester United
                De Sciglio 15', Lacazette 39', 51', Robben 84', Bale 90'

"Finally a good performace in this month! Yes, it was against an average Championship side but you have to start somewhere. Our attackers played well and they had a lot of energy. In the quarter final we will play against Manchester City only a day before we face Dortmund in the Champions League. What the f*ck is the fixture creator smoking?!"

                Round of 16, 1st Leg
                Manchester United 1 - 0 Borussia Dortmund
                Benzema 64'

"Dortmund are a good team and they played well in this game. I think we deserved the victory because we were simply better than them. Bale and Benzema combined nicely in our goal and our defenders did a good job. Now we need to beat them at the Westfalenstadion."

                Aston Villa 0 - 4 Manchester United
                Sterling 11', 25', Lacazette 45', Isco 89'

"The boys were amazing in this match and they could've scored three goals more. We had twelve shots on target and 63% possession. Raheem (Sterling) had a good game and I'm glad that Isco got finally on the scoresheet."

                Player of the Month

                Alexandre Lacazette

It was very hard to pick someone who was better than everyone else because there really wasn't anyone. At the end Alexandre Lacazette was given the award because he three goals and completed some important passes in attack.

                Hot or Not

                Alexandre Lacazette

He's the player of the month.

                Raheem Sterling

The fast and agile English winger had a good month in February. He got a lot of playing time because Arjen Robben was out of form and Sterling showed why he deserved it. He scored two goals in the month but he also assisted a goal and he was dangerous in attack.

                Luka Modric

Luka Modric had another good month in the middle of the pitch. He controlled the midfield and passed well. The Croatian did a good job in defence and in attack and he's looking like a good signing.

                Not

                Wayne Rooney

The captain of the team had a pretty bad month in February. He didn't do anything special and he disappeared from the match often. Rooney also lost the ball and didn't pass the ball well.

                Junior Malanda

It's not easy to replace one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the world and Junior Malanda felt that in February. He played in three games after Vidal got injured and he didn't do well in any of them. The Belgian was sluggish and he got caught out of position too often.

                Arjen Robben

Arjen Robben has now played poorly for the last two months. He didn't score a single goal in February and he didn't have an impact on the games. He lost the ball often and failed to get past many defenders.

I need your help, guys. What would be a good way to end the ManU career? Maybe the manager resigns or he gets fired? I don't know what to do with the ending and I'm interested in your suggestions. I'm thinking about killing him...

                        Games

                        Champions League
                        Group Stage
                        Matchday 4

                        Arsenal 1-0 Celtic
                        31' Welbeck (PEN)

First game of the month and to be honest, I actually did not care about it too much. After all that had happened last month and what was going on with Moro, I was waiting for just one game only. A Champions League fixture was nice, obviously, but against the team we beat earlier? I was expecting 3 points and nothing else, really. Team played like that aswell. We let them control the tempo of the game and to be honest, why not? Little teams usually want the big teams to control the tempo - Celtic was planning to hit us hard on the counter. But it is kinda difficult to get a counter-attack going if you hold the ball most of the time. Yet when we got it, the plan was simple - get behind the defense and let them make a mistake.

Özil showed some great skill and when he got taken down in the box by van Dijk, I knew we were going to get the game right there. I had thought about bringing Virgil in earlier, but he seems a bit too rough around the edges at this moment - not going to cut it in the BPL. Welbeck went up to take it and he made easy work of it - we were up 1-0.

That was really it though, most of the match was not even threatning. We did not create a lot of chances, true, but we did not have to. I was scared for a moment when I saw Mertesacker and Moreno both out of position, yet we luckily did not concede any crosses this game. Pretty simple 3 points, if you ask me.

                        Premier League
                        Matchday 11

                        Arsenal 1-0 West Bromich Albion
                        35' McCarthy (Welbeck)

I decided to switch a few things around - let Özil and Cazorla rest and play Wilshere in a more attacking role. Going into the Hawthorns, I was expecting a game that we should take comfortable - it played out like that, yet there were moments that scared us. Anichebe hit the crossbar pretty much at the very start at the game, so I was worried that if we don't focus defensively, we will get punished at somepoint.

We got our goal though, Wilshere found Welbeck, who then found McCarthy sitting right behind the centre backs. I thought he was offside, yet when the flag did not come up, he got through on goal and smashed it into the bottom corner. The game ended 1-0.

Another thing I was happy about was seeing Maupay play - even if he played as a left midfielder, which I find kinda odd but ey, I am not the coach of the Baggies I guess. I am focused on our results and how our team plays - sadly, he isn't part of the first team, not yet atleast.

                        Premier League
                        Matchday 12

                        Hull City 0-2 Arsenal
                        48' Cazorla (FK)
                        90' Giroud (Özil)

Last game just before the international break was against Hull at our home stadium - another (expected) 3 point game. However, Hull played really well early. They pressured us and made it difficult us for to attack. It took me time to figure them out, but then I realised why they were in it so well - 10 men behind the ball. Yes, we couldn't create any chances during the first half due to them being ultra defensive. They had more shots, yet none on target - most of them went past the goal by miles. We needed one chance to break through and luckily, we got it.

Cazorla hit a beautiful free-kick, first one this season. That forced them to play more attacking and actually try to create proper chances. We still didn't let them though, I told the boys to play more defensive, yet not 10 men behind the ball - just enough so we could take advantage of them in the counter.

It was going fine, until the very end, as Szczesny passed the ball to Moreno, but it got intersepted by Hernandez, who hit the bar. From there, we got on a counter of our own. Özil thread the ball through to Giroud, who did not make a mistake and finished it. 2-0 just before the break, a good match, even if it was scary for a tad while.

                        Premier League
                        Matchday 13

                        Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea
                        8' Cazorla (FK)
                        20' Schürrle

So this was it, the game I and the rest of the league had been waiting for - us against Chelsea. The start of the rivalry between me and Mourinho. I fielded the strongest team I had, laid down the tactics and had to hope for the best now. I wasn't going to lett Jose beat me, even if I was less experienced and titleless.

And things started amazing for us, just like deja vu - Cazorla scored a free-kick. I am pretty sure that he hit it from the same place just like against Hull. However, we did not hold the lead for long. When Willians cross finally reached the box, there was a huge pileup for it. Schürrle was left open and he tucked it right to the bottom corner. I turned around after the goal and saw Jose smiling at me, thinking he would win it.

The game then proceeded to be really well contested - both teams were fighing their hearts out. Every single one of the 22 men wanted the win. Both the goalkeepers were keeping their respective sides in the match. Then, very end of the game, Cazorla gets taken down in the box. I shouted for a penalty, yet it was not given. The referee later on blew his whistle - that was the game, 1-1. An intense one. As I went down the stairs, I shook the hand of the Chelsea players and the staff, except for Mourinho. He only had one thing to say to me: "See you next time."

                        Champions League
                        Group Stage
                        Matchday 5

                        Fenerbache 1-0 Arsenal
                        45' Sow (Emenike)

Right, so it was time to put Premier League out of my mind and focus on European football. If we beat Fenerbache, we would be through instantly - no worries on the next match. I had to change things up due to the game being 2 days right after the Chelsea game - not everybody was fit enough to play.

While I thought we started off the game well, they just needed one chance to get a goal. Some fantastic passing play between Sow, Potuk and Emenike gets Sow completely open in the box - I was shouting at the defenders for their lack of focus, yet at the same time, those 3 played fantastic football and scored.

The second half was rather boring, we couldn't break through and neither could them. The game ended with a 1-0 loss for us, making things rather interesting in the group - one game remaining for each team and 3 potential teams still going through, hopefully we can be one of those teams.

                        Premier League
                        Matchday 14

                        Manchester City 1-1 Arsenal
                        22' Özil (McCarthy)
                        61' Sinclair (Jovetic)

Final game of the month, after this one, some breathing room. It wasn't going to be easy though against Man City, the only thing that was going for us, was that we were at home. Their recent form has been pretty good and they have climbed a few spots.

Game started rather dull, City pressured us and got a few chances but nothing that they could capitalize on. Then, we went to business - a counter-attack and Welbeck holds the ball up nicely. He passes it to McCarthy who then gives it right through the defense and to Özil, who was 1-on-1 with the keeper and made no mistake!

We finished the first half off on a high note, yet things were not better in the second. They got a really good chance at the start when Jovetic hit the crossbar. Somehow I felt that they will get the goal, and when Jovetic crossed it into the box and Sinclair was all wide open, he made no mistake and tied the game up.

I told the guys to play more attacking, try to get the win, yet City on the other hand were defending for their lives and holding the ball in the corner. This has recently become a thing that teams hold the ball against us, even the bigger ones. Why they don't go for a win, is beyond me. But that was the game - 1-1.

How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

                          May 2015 - Season 1
                          FIFA 15 (PS4)

                          CD Numancia 2 - 3 CA Osasuna
                          CDN: Alvarez 20' Gerrit 73'
                          OSA: Guillermo 66' Torres 70' Ramirez 80'
Osasuna went down early in the match and really struggled to get back into the match. Numancia surprised everybody and were doing a fantastic job at holding the league leaders who simply couldn't figure out how to break through. An hour into the match Guillermo found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper to power the ball into net, shaking off the criticism he had received from the press last month. Only four minutes later, Guillermo sent a lobbed through pass to Roberto Torres that left Torres one-on-one with the goalkeeper as well. Torres was able to head the ball before the keeper could reach it and chipped it over him and into the net! Osasuna had flipped the scoreline! The celebration ended quickly though as Numancia's Gerrit equalized the match just 3 minutes later. Real Valladolid had won their match earlier today so Osasuna desperately needed the win to stay ahead on the table, and young Jose David Ramirez came through to obtain it. Just as we hit the final ten minutes of the match the Mexican winger sprinted past the defenders to reach a long through ball from midfield that left him one-on-one with the keeper and he was able to beat the goalkeeper to give Osasuna the win. Numancia's midfielders and strikers played a great match going toe to toe with the league leaders, but their back line had a terrible match as all three of Osasuna's goals came from one-on-ones with the goalkeeper.

                          CA Osasuna (B-Team) 4 - 0 UE Llagostera
                          OSA: Onwu 16' 21' J. Garcia 23' 55'
First versus last and the scoreline showed how superior Osasuna was, even with the B team. Osasuna scored three goals in 9 minutes, which made it clear that Llagostera were in for a long night. Jose started a counterattack after a corner kick in which he dribbled the ball from his defensive third juking his way past the defenders, reached the opponent's box and then passed it to Manuel Onwu who surprised with a first-touch shot from the edge of the box and scored the 1st goal of the evening. Onwu would get his brace only 5 minutes later, and then Jose Garcia would score his first goal of the match just 2 minutes after that. The B team enjoyed their time on the field with plenty of passing and several chances on goal, while Llagostera defended with everything they had. Jose Garcia would complete his brace in the 55th minute with a powerful shot from the edge of the box with his left foot that the goalkeeper wasn't able to reach. Osasuna took it easy after that, and we weren't given any more goals. Llagostera weren't going to leave Pamplona without their revenge though, and a hard foul against the Man of The Match Onwu would force Onwu to leave the match early with an injury.

                          INJURY NEWS
Manuel Onwu will miss the rest of the season, as he will be out for 4 weeks with a Sprained Knee.

                          CD Mallorca 1 - 3 CA Osasuna
OSA: Guillermo 53' Torres PEN 61' Sisi 68'
                          MAL: Pereira 73'
Again Guillermo came out to silence mouths by scoring his 2nd consecutive goal this time with a great individual play. Guillermo received the ball with enough space to turn around towards goal, he dribbled forward forcing the centre backs to rush him. He dribbled past the first, and then jumped over the second's slide tackle which left him with all the room in the world to take a shot and score.

About 7 minutes later, Sisi was given a through ball that put him ahead of his marker and inside the box. His marker, knowing that he would not catch up to Sisi in time to prevent the inevitable shot or cross, pulled Sisi's shirt until Sisi fell to the ground. The perpetrator insisted that Sisi dove, but the referee stuck to his guns and called the penalty. Roberto Torres would step up to take the penalty and scored; Torres hasn't missed a single penalty this season.

Sisi wasn't done though, and 7 minutes later he was given another through ball that allowed him to run into the box, only this time his marker did not pull his shirt in order to avoid a second yellow and Sisi finessed the ball into the net to make it 3-0. Mallorca reacted five minutes later with Pereira heading the ball into the net to shorten the distance, but Mallorca wasn't able to do any more damage after that and the match ended 3-1.

                          CA Osasuna 0 - 0 Girona CF
Chavez chose to experiment by fielding a customized 4-3-3 Attack (2 CDMs) for the second half as his regular 4-3-3 Holding wasn't producing anything in the attacking third and the team needs to be adding by 3 if they want to maintain the league leadership. Osasuna looked much much better in defense, however they were lacking in attack. Another change Chavez made was that Marcos Alonso started at LB while the loanee Cadamuro didn't even appear for the bench. Osasuna pushed hard for the win but Girona knew exactly how to shut them down and Osasuna were forced to a draw.

                          CD Tenerife 0 - 0 CA Osasuna
For this match Osasuna executed the 4-3-3 Attack used in the last match, but with the same results. Defense was very solid with the extra midfielder in the defending third, but the attacking third produced nothing. Only 3 shots were taken by Osasuna. Although all 3 were on target, it is still a poor number. Chavez was quite impressed with two of Tenerife's players that played tonight, the first was the young Spanish midfielder Iker Guarrotxena. It is said Chavez actually asked Tenerife's manager about him but that's when he was informed that he is actually a loanee from Athletic Bilbao. The second player that caught his eye was the Guadalajara youth graduate Ulises Davila. The midfielder from Mexico belongs to Chelsea, but Tenerife made his transfer permanent this season.

CA Osasuna Player of The Month

                          CDM - Victor Camarasa (Spain) (72 OVR 21yrs) (+3)
This is only his first season at the club, but Camarasa has already proven his talent and made a difference with the first team. In the 4-3-3 Attack, Camarasa showed great discipline by staying back as he was instructed to but at the same time getting the plays started by dribbling from the back to get the ball into the attacking third. In last month's match against Real Madrid, Camarasa showed great heart and was the stand out player for Osasuna, always trying to push forward and never belittling himself in front of Real Madrid's world class team. Camarasa started the season with the B team, but has truly earned his place with the first team.

                          Youth Academy

Joyce Barber - RM (52-62, 68-80): By reading his name one might assume the player is from the United Kingdom, but in fact he is a Spaniard. At least, he was born in Spain. Barber is only 5'4" but he has proven to be a playmaker from the wing even at 15 years of age.

Paré Bulhões Romeu - ?? (63-77, 77-94): The second addition to the youth academy is this 16 year old from Spain, who carries the same first and middle name as the first player that joined the academy. He hasn't chosen his position yet, but so far we've seen him play as a striker, winger, and wide midfielder with the U-17s.

Paré Bulhões Vinuesa Ramos - CDM (59-71, 76-90): The 16 year old from Spain immediately caught Chavez's eye when the youth academy resumed operations last month, and he is now in line for a potential call up to the senior team in the future. Ramos stands at 6'3" and has chosen CDM as his primary position. The player covered several others in the youth team, so he looks to be a very versatile player on the field. The youngster also hasn't chosen which, whether his last name or maiden name, will be printed on his jersey when he does receive the call up...

Roussillon Murnane - ST (54-64, 69-81): The 5'9" 16-year old from Spain has shown the characteristics of a winger as he tends to drift wide from the center.

                          May Headlines

                          LIGA ADELANTE CHAMPIONS!

CA Osasuna have won the Liga Adelante league title and go into La Liga BBVA as the top of their division. It's been an incredible season in Pamplona who just 12 months ago were shedding tears after being relegated. Now, not only have they earned their return to La Liga, but they do it as champions. After a bumpy start to the season that caused rumors of Chavez being fired, the new manager was able to turn it around and put together a team that was even solid enough to reach the Copa Del Rey final. The squad may not be the most talented and will most likely be relegation candidates next season because of that, but they play with heart and passion which can go a long way on the field. The cup matches against Barcelona and Villarreal are prime examples of that.
"It is an amazing feeling! Many people criticized me and claimed I had taken a step back in my career by coming to Liga Adelante from La Liga, but I knew it was the right choice for me and now six months later I have a medal on my neck. The players here sure made it easy for me to adjust and I'm glad I was able pull my own weight. We gotta keep moving forward though so we'll be getting back to work soon so we can be our best for the new season" - Raul Albentosa, Osasuna defender.

Osasuna Left Out of LFP's TOTY
The league directors have surprised us all by keeping the champions out of the Team of The Year. Guillermo was awarded the Golden Boot through his own merits, but the rest of the team received no recognition from the league despite winning the title.
"It's gonna happen. There have been several incidents where the award ceremony causes controversy and this won't be the last. It's not the way it used to be anymore. Before a player's hard work and determination earned him a place in the ceremony. Now we have agents, sponsors, and even the media putting their hands in who gets the award. No offense by the way. Regardless, we're not too disheartened about it. We look at the bright side and it's good to know that we achieved what we did through teamwork. Winning the league and being the last Liga Adelante club in the cup since the Round of 16 also speaks for itself." - Chavez, Osasuna manager.
The team may have not received any recognition from the league, but Chavez was named Manager of The Season.

                          Conclusion
Well there you have it folks. First season is over with in what felt like record time for my careers. As you can see Real Valladolid completely fell off this month as the season came to a close. At the beginning they were still tailgating, but as the weeks went by they slowly started to let off the gas pedal and in the end it looks like they weren't even trying anymore. The easy part is over with, now I move on to the real challenge: playing in La Liga. Looks like I'll also be playing in the Europa League which as I said in my previous post it is not what I wanted. Survival in La Liga will be the main goal, and the Europa League will only make it more difficult. I'm not expecting an incredible transfer budget next season since the board will most likely shoot for avoiding relegation. I made most of my money through the cup which in the end rewarded me handsomely. For winning the league, the board gave me a whopping $66,000. Boy were they happy to win the league huh. So that concludes the season. I'll try to get a squad review up as soon as possible.

Thank you for being with me through my first season in Spain, and as always
                          Thanks For Reading!

You weren't able to beat Chelsea, but at the same time you didn't lose against them so you did keep your word. It sounds like it was a hell of a match though! Your players backed you up and that's all one can ask for. Looks like that match distracted you from the Champions League though and you're in a tough spot. All 3 top teams have a chance to go through and you have a really difficult match coming up against PSG. Looking forward to seeing how that goes next month. Damn Mourinho -_-

That was great until it reached the killing part. From there it escalated too quickly haha. The beginning is good and I might use it if I don't come up with something better. I thought about it being a dream but that would be too cliché-y in my opinion. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion!
