Thanks! I'm surprised I got some of them for so cheap, Clyne, Stambouli etc. If I don't get out of this group I will be majorly disappointed with myself. I get the crests off yahoo sports and then the other competition logos off various different sites. I was extremely lucky with that sim alright! Hopefully I can keep up the form!

@Indi: Man what a write up! The amount of detail is incredible that you put into these posts. A Championship career is also nice to see and you should do well with Sheffield Wednesday! Good luck.

I should have an update up shortly.

            Season 1: March:

            Matchday 33:

            Millwall – Sheff.Wed (1-0)
            • 73’ Martin (Ciftci) (1-0)

Recap: Millwall won this very boring and uneventful game with pretty much the only chance of the game being put away by Lee Martin.

MOTM: Mark Beevers: Had a great game like all of the defenders in Millwall with him dominating in the air and throwing himself in the way of several shots.

            Matchday 34:

Wolves – Millwall (0-2) (Reserve team)
            • 30’ Gregory (Upson) (0-1)
            • 84’ Gregory (Marquis) (0-2)

Recap: Millwall took a solid 2-0 win away against Wolverhampton mainly thanks to their striker in form Lee Gregory that had a great game in which he scored from a corner and on the break. These two chances were pretty much all that happened in the game.

MOTM: Lee Gregory: Had a great game and scored both goals, it such a shame for him that the striker in front of him in the pecking order is the best one in the league because otherwise he would have played every game.

            FA – Cup: Quarter Final

            Millwall – Swansea (2-0)
            • 33’ Ciftci (Trapp) (1-0)
            • 71’ Cataldi (Ciftci) (2-0)

Recap: Millwall had an amazing game in which both the defence and offense were working well making it impossible for Swansea to create any chances while Millwall created a lot of them and if they had been more effective there would have been a lot bigger score line. Millwall has earlier this year won the Capital One Cup and are now in the FA - Cup Semi-final so now they have a real shot on doing a cup double.

MOTM: Nadir Ciftci: Scored the first and assisted to the second and he created a lot of chances for his teammates so if his teammates had been more effective he would have made more assists.

            Matchday 35:

            Leeds – Millwall (0-1)
            • 77’ Ciftci (Trapp) (0-1)

Recap: It was a boring game with few chances that thanks to a late goal from top scorer Nadir Ciftci ended in a 1-0 win for Millwall away against Leeds Utd at Elland Road.

MOTM: Wil Trapp: The American defensive midfielder had a great game defensively and also managed to assist to the only goal in the game.

            Matchday 36:

Millwall – Brighton (3-0) (Reserve team)
            • 80’ Gregory (Martinez) (1-0)
            • 87’ Own goal (2-0)
            • 90’ Gregory (Cowan-Hall) (3-0)

Recap: Millwall won this game against Brighton with the big score line of 3-0 which is very misleading since it was a very even game that just got decided in the last minutes of the game through some good individual performances.

MOTM: Lee Gregory: Scored two goals in two shots so he was very effective to say the least. He was the difference in this game and he was also the only offensive player that reached his normal level.

            Matchday 37:

            Millwall – Fulham (4-1)
            • 38’ Mccormack (0-1)
            • 44’ Martin (Zelalem) (1-1)
            • 73’ Ciftci (PK) (2-1)
            • 90’ Lingard (Ciftci) (3-1)
            • 90’ Martin (Lingard) (4-1)

Recap: It was Fulham who took the lead in this London derby but after that it was all about Millwall. They scored four goals and managed to win the derby with 4-1 to make the fans very happy as well as their manager for showing character by turning the game around.

MOTM: Jesse Lingard: The talented English midfielder had a great game demonstrating his ability to create chances as well as taking care of them.

FL Championship table: (After March: 37 Games)

            1. Millwall – 103 Points
            2. Cardiff – 67 Points
            3. Norwich – 64 Points

            5. Bournemouth – 60 Points
            6. Fulham – 56 Points

            22. Charlton – 38 Points
            23. Brentford – 27 Points
            24. Rotherham – 25 Points

            Top Assists:
            1. Cowan-Hall: (Millwall) 13 Assists
            2. Ruiz: (Fulham) 9 Assists
            3. Martin: (Millwall) 7 Assists

            Clean Sheets:
            1. Nicholls: (Millwall) 25 Clean Sheets
            2. Ruddy: (Norwich) 12 Clean Sheets
            3. Grant: (Sheff. Wed) 10 Clean Sheets

            March recap:

March was an amazing month for us with only wins and also the defence were back to normal this month with only one goal conceded and with amazing performances especially against Chelsea and Swansea in the cup with clean sheets in both games.
But the most important thing that happened this month was the capital one cup final against Chelsea on Wembley in which we very surprisingly managed to win and thereby winning our first trophy in many years and also the first one since I became the manager. The win in the cup also means that we will participate in the Europa League next season which combined with us reaching promotion to the BPL will put a lot of pressure on the team but I am confident that we can handle it.

            Player of the month:

Nadir Ciftci: The Turkish striker had yet again a great month being vital for our successful month with his goals, assist and linkup-play.

            All feedback is appreciated!!!

              FIFA 15 | PS3 | Season 2 | 2015-16

              The Swans

              Octoberr 2015

              Group Match 2
              SV Ried 0-2 Swansea
              Reifeitshammer 7'
              Delph 13'
              Gomis 80'

              MotM: Bafétimbi Gomis

We started well with an early chance from Shelvey which was tipped around the post. Ings was then brough..t down on the edge of the box by Reifeitshammer which produced a straight red card. Shelvey missed the ensuing free kick by inches. Making use of the extra man Fernandez received a short kick out and it was worked up the field to Ings who played it into Delph. He turned back inside the box and curled it past the keeper. Gomis had a point blank attempt saved by Gebauer and he saved again from Ings in the 50th minute. Montero intercepted a pass halfway inside our half and he sprinted down the right hand side until he reached the box. Then he passed it to Gomis on the edge of the box. He turned to the right before turning back on his left and finishing past the keeper. Ings had a chance to make it 3 but his shot went wide. Gomis had the last chance of the game but Gebauer got down well.

"In truth after the red card the game was over before it had even begun. We completely controlled the game and only allowed them 1 shot on target throughout the 90 minutes. I'm very happy we did this and kept a clean sheet."

              Match 7
              Swansea 4-1 Aston Villa
              Bony 4'
              Berahino 12'

              Tonev 43'
              Berahino 45'
              Cissokho 65'
              Bony 66' Pen

              MotM: Nathan Dyer

Bony picked up the ball from Dyer halfway into Villa's half. He ran at the Villa defense dribbling around them. He turned back on his left and curled one around Guzan. Benteke had a chance but Scuffet saved it well. Then Dyer exposed Vlaar's lack of pace by sprinting past him and putting the ball on a plate for Berahino to head in his 10th league goal of the season into an empty net. Tonev pulled one back in the 43rd minute after he was put through by Bacuna and left off by Taylor. Berahino though restored our 2 goal lead after Dyer dispossessed Westwood, just inside our half, then skipped past Herd before laying it off to Berahino who brought it into the box and curled it in. Guzan saved another attempt from Berahino and Delph missed a chance before Berahino played it out to Dyer who sped past the fullback and turned back to pass it across to Bony who took a touch just before Cissokho slid in to try and win the ball. He was late and as a result the ref gave a penalty and a red card to him. Bony sent Guzan the wrong way and converted to make it 4-1. Benteke had a chance after being put through with a ball over the top but Amat and Scuffet put him under enough pressure to shoot wide. Delph had a free kick about 30 yards out that Guzan comfortably saved.

"A very good performance from the lads. Everything went right except for the soft goal we gave away preventing us from keeping a clean sheet. Saido (Berahino) and Wilfried (Bony) are banging the goals in for us which is great. Nathan (Dyer) also had a great game getting 3 assists and creating the penalty."

              Match 8
              Cardiff City 0-4 Swansea
              Bony 9'
              Dyer 19'
              Dyer 42'
              Bony 54'

              MotM: Gylfi Sigurdsson

It was Hayes' first Welsh derby and he was determined to win it. The away side started the better of the two and Dyer had a curling shot go just wide. Bony opened the scoring in the 9' after Sigurdsson played it to him on the edge of the area. He took a powerful shot which went through Juan Cala's legs and curled away from Marshall and into the corner. Bony then struck the post with a header off Shelvey's cross. Dyer doubled the lead 10 minutes later after Bony passed it into him and he took a thunderbolt of a shot and it flew in from the edge of the D into the top corner. Maynard tested Fabianski and he passed saving a shot from close range. Sigurdsson took on Theophile and Turner down the left side of the box before turning back in and finding Dyer who knocked it past Juan Cala into the space left by Turner and fired it home with his left foot from close range. Bony was tackled as he tried to get into the box but the ball rolled to Berahino who then slid in Bony, Fabio had kept him onside, who easily finished his second of the game. Maynard headed off the crossbar in Cardiff's last chance. Reid then hit the post himself off a Shelvey corner in the 70'.

"A totally dominant performance against our bitter rivals. We controlled the ball throughout the game, 69% - 31%, and had the most chances which we put away. We also kept a clean sheet which I'm am very pleased with. I'd prefer to keep a clean sheet rather than scoring 10 goals. Gylfi (Sigurdsson) Nathan (Dyer) and Wilfried (Bony) were all excellent again today."

              Group Match 3
              Swansea 0-1 Lazio
              Soriano 48'

              MotM: Simone Scuffet

The whole team was rotated in preparation for Liverpool in 2 days time. The first half was fairly tight with a couple chances for either team. Soriano got the only goal of the game 3 minutes into the second half when Amat won the ball off him and then turned to pass it out but he knocked it a little too far in front and that allowed Soriano to smash home past Scuffet. That was the only difference between the teams as we suffered our first loss in Europe.

"I look forward to playing them on their patch as we have a point to prove. They got lucky with a mistake from Jordi (Amat) but other than that there was nothing between the teams."

              Match 9
              Swansea 2-3 Liverpool
              Berahino 20'
              Gerrard 34'
              Redmond 58'
              Borini 59'
              Sterling 90'

              MotM: Saido Berahino

Delph got the ball from Bony who was out wide. He slipped it down the left channel behind Gerrard, who was covering from Sakho, to Berahino. He turned inside Skertel and finished it in off the right post. Gerrard got a pass from Sturridge in the D and fired home with a first time left footed finish. Berahino spotted the run of Redmond down the left and gave him a first time through ball. Markovic was no where near him as he coolly finished past Jones. Straight from kickoff Henderson got the ball in the box and passed it across to Borini to equalize. Our defense was all over the place allowing Sturridge to pass it in to Sterling who had an easy finish from the penalty spot in the last minute.

"They got extremely lucky to leave with the 3 points. A single lapse of concentration and organization in our defense gifted them the 3 points. Now because of that we drop down to 4th from 2nd. Not good enough."

              Match 10
              Manchester United 1-1 Swansea
              Delph 65'
              Hernandez 79'

              MotM: Simone Scuffet

Clyne went down the right wing turned back and managed to get some space from Rafael. He swung in a cross with his left foot to the middle of the goal halfway between the penalty spot and the 6 yard box. Delph was there in between Rojo and Smalling and he just guided the header into the right top corner past Lindegaard. Hernandez spun away from Stambouli and had enough space to shoot from the edge of the box towards goal. Scuffet got his hands to it but was unable to keep it out this attempt. Bony had a great chance to steal it at the death but Lindegaard somehow stopped his point blank header from a Bernat cross.

"I'm pleased with this result. United are a great team and to get a point off them at Old Trafford is a great result. Simone (Scuffet) was incredible and made an amazing amount of saves. (11) Maybe he could've done better with the goal after getting his hands to it, but no one can save everything. Fabian (Delph), Jefferson (Montero) and Nathaniel (Clyne) were all very good today also."

@Keano: I have a couple of questions regarding your week with Ireland. First was this your first week as Irish head coach, meaning first week with games to be played? If not, granted they were both friendlies against 2 top quality countries, why not play the 2 games? Just to see you how play with the team and where you think you should upgrade the team immediately

This wasn't my first week with Ireland. I had 2 European Qualifier matches before and lost out on goal difference to 2nd place. I just didn't feel like playing these 2 matches seeing as I'm not in the Euros.

Yea where it was not your first set of games with the team it makes complete sense then. And I screwed up when I was writing it, I meant if so, why not play them.

Man, I'm just so thrilled you guys are loving the build-up to the career! I hope the actual career itself gets as good a reception as this has. Anyone who wants to lift elements of my updates, please go right ahead.

@Chico I knew you'd come back strong, and here you are, top of the table and ready to finish strong. I'm looking forward to that!

@SHoward Looks like a good career. Can't think of any MLS careers in a long time on here, so this should be an interesting read.

@Keano Swansea looks to be a force to be reckoned with! The signing of Scuffet looks like a masterstroke.

@Falaph Incredible season, I think you more or less have the title wrapped up. I only hope my results are half as good!

                          TOON TO THE TOP
                          SEASON 2
                          PS4

                          Match 35

                          Everton 0-4 Newcastle
                          Ferguson 7
                          Ferguson 45
                          Barkley 72
                          Carver 84

We started this month out in brilliant fashion, knowing that we needed to play extremely well to get the title. Ferguson opened the scoring, a ball through finding him in open space for him to rifle home into the far corner. He made it 2-0 on the stroke of half time, cutting in onto his right and floating it into the top corner. Barkley, starting as striker in this match, got the third against his former club, cutting inside and curling past Robles. Youth product Carver made it 4 and completed the rout late on, his low effort finding the corner after squirming through Robles hands, an awful attempt at saving it.

                          Match 36

                          Newcastle 3-0 Manchester United
                          Dzsudzsak 5
                          Barkley 73
                          Colback 88

The next match of our difficult match came against 20 time champions Manchester United. We got off to a great start, Balasz curling into the top corner from a free kick with just 5 minutes on the clock. The game died down until Barkley beat his man and struck hard and low beyond De Gea. Colback settled it late on with a header at the far post, starting due to Medel's injury.

                          Match 37

                          Newcastle 2-2 Manchester City
                          Kolarov 12 (OG)
                          Jovetic 33
                          Zuculini 64
                          Bony 74

We went into this match knowing Chelsea had dropped points and a win would put us top. We got off to a great start, Balasz's ball in headed into his own net by Kolarov. However Jovetic beat his man to tuck in an equalise and City took the lead with an excellent goal. Zuculini, about 30 yards out, turned and curled into the top corner. Bony was able to equalise and rescue a point, beating the entire defence before smashing into the corner.

                          Match 38

                          West Ham - Newcastle
                          Bony 37
                          Delph 47
                          Barkley 53
                          Barkley 59

The dramatic finale. Level on points with Chelsea. 3 goals down in goal difference. We needed a crazy win in this match while Chelsea were playing Liverpool. Bony opened the scoring, heading into the top corner from a ball in. Immediately after half time Delph ran through the defence and smashed past Adrian, looking bewildered as to how the defence just let him past. Barkley made it 3 and levelled the goal difference not long after, cutting past the defender before slotting into the bottom corner. The 4th came just before the hour mark, Barkley tapping in from close range from a low a ball across goal. Then news came through, Chelsea had took the lead and would now win the league on goal difference by 1 goal. We frantically attacked but the West Ham defence suddenly remembered how to defend. The whistle blew, it was over. We had lost the league title on the final day, by 1 goal. The commentary didn't even mention the title.

                          League Table

                          Spoiler

                          League Analysis

So the season has ended. A new name on the trophy, a new place in history. Newcastle United have won the title on a dramatic final day. When Jamie took over, the side was in disarray but he guided them to third last season, and now they are champions. The side were in the Championship in the 2009-10 season, and now, 6 years after winning the Championship, they have won the Premier League.

Last seasons 5th place finisher were in the title race going into the final day, and on pole, odds on favourite to win. When Newcastle dipped in form last month, the Blues caught up quickly but the financial powerhouse was unable to snatch the league title away.

The title wasn't the only surprise however. Third place went to Aston Villa, a side who had been battling relegation in recent seasons. The Villains played outstanding football this season, spearheaded by 15 goal striker Gabriel Agbonlahor, they were able to keep up with the powerhouses. Another of the shocks was the final position of last seasons champions Everton, finishing in 10th. The side was clearly lacking last years golden boot winner Ross Barkley after being signed by Newcastle in the summer. Everton didn't buy a replacement, and that along with their struggle to balance league and European football proved to be their downfall.

Arsenal finished 4th, no surprise there, but only ahead of arch-rivals Spurs on goal difference. Welbeck and Walcott were crucial in Arsenals campaign, and without them they would have struggled to get the goals they needed. Manchester City and Liverpool finished 6th and 7th, meaning City qualify for Europe while Liverpool just miss out due to West Hams FA Cup final appearance. The rest of the top half were made up by an average Manchester United and an overachieving Hull side, who stayed in the Premier League by the skin of their teeth last season.

At the foot of the table finished Wigan, with QPR and Watford joining them in relegation. 2 of the 3 promoted sides down, and not really a surprise. Neither Wigan nor Watford had the financial prowess to compete in the Premier League and sides of their stature will struggle to stay up. Austin will feel hard done by, finishing the season with 10 goals, just 5 behind the golden boot winner, but his goals weren't enough to keep his team afloat. Norwich stayed up on goal difference, Kyle Lafferty the standout player for them.

                              AD Alcorcon - '21-'22 Season
                              Pre-Season Update

Budget: $37 million for transfers, $190K for wages.
Objectives: La Liga (Win), Copa Del Rey (Win), Champions League (Win)

Welcome to a showdown season at AD Alcorcon. After a disappointing '20-'21 season that saw the team bring no trophies to southwest Madrid both the board and the head coach are on the same page as far as their goals for this season: WIN EVERYTHING. That will be no easy task as Alcorcon has not won more than one of those competitions in any season since joining La Liga for the '17-'18 season. This is significant due to reports that the board and head coach, Diego Del Barco, do not have a good relationship at the moment, and perhaps failure to meet the established goals could result on a breakup between them.

Should that indeed happen AD Alcorcon would have to replace one of the best coaches in Europe nowadays. Since joining the club in February of 2015 all Del Barco has done is lead AD Alcorcon to promotion after 2 1/2 seasons, a club that had already spent 4 1/2 seasons in Liga Adelante and all of its first 40 years in lower levels of Spanish soccer. The club's first season in the highest level of competition in Spain was a successful one, staying above the relegation zone all season long and finishing strong jumping all the way up to 9th place. The two subsequent seasons were outstanding: 4th place in finish and the club's first Copa Del Rey title in '18-'19, another 4th place finish the following season with a loss in the Copa Del Rey final but a Champions League title in the club's first ever season in the competition. Then last season happened; although the club achieved its highest finish ever in La Liga (3rd place), it suffered a disappointing early exit in Copa Del Rey (Round of 16 loss to Mallorca), and lost the Champions League final against Liverpool on a last minute goal. It appears the board was extremely disappointed with those results, especially considering the club has assembled a very deep and talented roster, and that has led to tension in club headquarters. So buckle up for this season, because any bumps on the road could have major consequences in one of the best cinderella stories European soccer has had in several decades.

All that being said we did not expect a lot of movement to take place in the summer transfer window with Alcorcon already having a very good Starting XI. However, there were definitely some eye-popping moves made this season:

TRANSFERS OUT: Cristian Bonilla (GK, 86 OVR), sold to Manchester City for $33.5 million. Damian Silva (CM, 70 OVR), loaned to SD Ponferradina for the full season. Dani Barrera (CM, 79 OVR), sold to Celta Vigo for $10 million. Roberto Damian (CDM, 75 OVR), sold to Athletic Bilbao for $3.1 million.

TRANSFERS IN: Thibaut Courtois (GK, 87 OVR), purchased from FC Barcelona for $40.5 million.

While Alcorcon was looking to lay low during this transfer window Manchester City made a significant offer for Bonilla that was hard to ignore. The board figured it'd be able to used the funds to find an appropriate replacement for him. They ended up landing one of the elite keepers in the game in the 29-year old Courtois (and weakening Barca at the same time). In other moves Barrera had become a surplus to the team's need given that his main role was as a backup to Correa (who barely comes off the field), while Damian had been very vocal about wanting more playing time which is limited at the club with the solid play by Imbula. Young blood made this moves easier as Victor Jimenez and Patrick Sobiech may just be ready to step up for the club.

Also sometimes the best moves are the ones you don't make - Porto ($23.5 million) and Man City ($29.5 million) made offers for Nico Lopez but the club did not engage in negotiations. The same approach was taken when Chelsea ($19 million) inquired about Mattia De Sciglio and Arsenal ($16.5 million) inquired about Giannelli Imbula. Manchester United found the $66.8 million counter offer for Farago too high and ended negotiations. Meanwhile the only other acquisition Alcorcon tried to make was a purchase of Celta's CDM, Joan Calle Ochoa, but their $13.5 million + Damian offer was rejected.

                              Pre-Season Games

                              Alcorcon - Roma (1-0)
                              Lopez 35'

Recap: A strong debut to the pre-season by the A-team as they dominated all game long, outshooting the visitors 16-2 (9-2 on shots on goal).

EA Guingamp - AD Alcorcon (0-4)
                              Lopez 13'
                              Farago 31'
                              Farago 38'
                              Miguel 84' (P)

Recap: The A-team looked in mid-season form in their manhandling of a french club that was clearly inferior. Alcorcon was so dominant they were intimidating.

                              AD Alcorcon - 1. FC Koln (4-2)
                              Jimenez 6'
                              Goretzka 25'

                              Parpeix 31'
                              Sobiech 57'
                              Campbell 61'

                              Gerhardt 84'

Recap: A combination of the B and C teams helped the club achieve a perfect pre-season, although Carlos Alberto was unable to keep a clean sheet after 2 clean performances by Courtois. It was also a successful debut by the most recent start out of the academy, Victor Jimenez.

In academy news the team continues to have just 3 players on the roster as the club looks to decide where to send its scouts next. Here's our youth squad at the moment:
                              • Mansour Haron (CB, 62-66 OVR, 85-91 POT): 17-year old from Saudia Arabia who understands (for now) that he's better served staying in the academy and working on improving his game as there are already too many guys as good as him on the senior roster. Of course, his mammoth size (6'6", 198 lbs) does give him a certain edge.
                              • Johnny Wilson (CF, 57-61, 74-80): 17-year old from England who will ideally stay in the academy for another full season. He has a lot of competition at his position right now.
                              • Julio Gutierrez (LW, 56-60, 73-79): 17-year old from Spain who needs to continue to work on his game in the academy. Will be promoted if he asks to but he'll be nothing but a loan candidate.

                              * Denotes recent addition to the academy.

Current roster (* Denotes player graduated from the youth academy):

                              Spoiler

Important notes regarding our roster - the most significant aspect is Salawu winning back his starting spot against Morientes. Salawu was the starter at the beginning of last season before and injury took him out for several months. Morientes filled in for him and performed so well he kept the starting spot for the rest of the season. However, Salawu played his best games once he came back from injury, earning the right to compete for the starting spot. It was a close competition and Morientes made it very difficult but in the end Salawu is the winner. Morientes will basically be our 12th man and is expected to play in 40+ games. Candelo arrived on pre-contract and earned backup RB duties over McDermott, making the Englishman a candidate for loan. However, Candelo has announced he will retire at the end of the season. Afrani is getting to the point where it's getting hard to keep him of the field, and his high potential plus Vergara seemingly peaking may lead to some kind of move. Finally, our roster has two players with the same name (Victor Jimenez) so one of them has decided to put Victor J on his jersey. Victor Jimenez is Spanish while Victor J is Venezuelan (both promoted from the academy at the end of last season).

                              Bring on the season.

                                Pre-Season Update
Man really looking forward to this season! The season of seasons at Alcorcon, THE season is here! I liked the recap of previous seasons in your post by the way very nice addition. Looking at your squad I think you have a really good chance of achieving the objectives, but being in the same league with Barcelona and Real Madrid sure makes that complicated. You fired first already though by taking Courtois from Barcelona. He is incredibly difficult to score on but you won't have to worry about that anymore. I'm glad you'll be able to count on Farago this season too!
