Objectives: Qualify for Champions, Quarter finals for local cup and Champions.
I don't get it. I just don't get it. After so many seasons with the club Dagenham still don't trust you with their money and give you crappy budgets. With the objectives they have for you you'd think they would justify it with an appropriate budget but they give you nothing. I'm sure you'll make the best out of it in the transfer window though. Any chance of the giant Tom Eaves becoming a Dagger this season? :0

From what I've read, it sounds like it was actually United who forced Cambridge into a replay :P

Interesting thing I read. The replay will give Cambridge more money than they usually get annually. They have a £1.6 mill annual income, while the match at Old Trafford will give them a £1.7 mill income

Interesting indeed! They will double their income with just one match. Sucks that the replay will be after the transfer window is over. They could have became a League 2 powerhouse with that kind of money! Assuming they would invest it back into the squad of course.

EDIT: I just read that the Cambridge players were also told not to swap jerseys with the United players because the club is going through financial struggles.

              AD Alcorcon - '21-'22 Season
              Academy Products - Player Profile

              Alessandro Farago

              Spoiler

Alessandro Farago enters the '21-'22 season looking to achieve greater things. That is setting the bar high considering the season he just had in '20-'21. 17 assists, 12 coming in league play to lead all players, and 16 goals is no small feat for a 21-year old. The road he's traveled to become the player he is today may be the only thing that impresses more.

Farago joined Alcorcon's youth academy during the '15-'16 season and he joined the senior team by the following season (att 66 OVR). He flashed enough promise in the academy that the team gave him a chance to be a starter from the get go. He's never let go. At just 17-years old Farago gathered up 11 goals and 7 assists in 37 games as the left strikers to help Alcorcon earn promotion to La Liga, scoring twice in a promotion-clinching 5-1 victory at Numancia. The following season, when Gabriel was brought in from Brazil, it was Steve Leo Beleck who lost his starting job while Farago (70 OVR) simply made the switch to right striker, an effortless transition thanks to equally as effective with both feet despite being naturally left-footed. As an 18-year old he was unfazed by the challenges of one of the best leagues in the world, and repeated his production from the previous season with 11 goals in 38 games while showing flahes of his top potential.

The '18-'19 saw Farago (74 OVR) return to the left side of the attack after Salamon Rondon replaced Gabriel in the starting lineup. The constant change of partner in the attack did not seem to bother him as the 19-year old Italian achieved his 3rd consecutive 11-goal season to go with 8 assists in 40 games. Although his performance wasn't improving it was also not regressing and his play on the field was definitely improving with each game. Farago moved back to the right side of the attack the following season (at 78 OVR) after the arrival of Billel Omrani. This season marked the only time his minutes came into question as he struggled a bit early in the season and Salomon was available to take his place. However, Farago bounced back quickly, finding his form while playing against top competition in Champions League and his playing time was never in question again. He finished the season by scoring the only goal of the game in the Champions final against Real Madrid. For the 4th consecutive season he scored 11 goals while also having 5 assists in 42 games.

Then last season (coming in at 81 OVR) happened, when he finally broke out of the 11-goal barrier. Watching him improve every year has been a pleasure. Nowadays he's diabolic with the ball at his feet and he also takes care of all free kicks near a scoring opportunity. He's a lethal long distance shooter but has also been recognized as being a clinical finisher. He still has room to grow as far as his physical attributes and his stamina is one of his biggest weaknesses, but there is no doubt that Alessandro Farago is one of the top strikers in Europe nowadays.

Don't believe me, ask Manchester United. The English club has recently made a $41 million dollar for him. This after Palermo nearly acquired the Italian last summer for $40 million only to be shunned by Farago who informed the Italian club he preferred to stay in Spain. Sources indicate Alcorcon's board sees Farago's top value at the moment at $66.8 million and have informed Man U that if they're willing to meet that price then only a contract agreement between player and club would be keeping the Italian from making the move to the Premier League. If Man U agrees to Alcorcon's counter offer Farago would more than double the top price the south-western Madrid club has received for one of its academy products (Zeshin Yamura was sold for $32 million to Manchester City midway through the '19-'20 season).

Nope. I'm pretty sure that by that year in my Wimbledon career the board had an open wallet for me to do what I pleased with. They loved me man lol

Just read your latest post. One thing that has always characterized your careers, is your amazing youth academy. I don't think any of my youth players at Wimbledon made it to 83 OVR Farago is a beast!

Thanks man. Would he fit on one of your teams? How much do you think he's actually worth?

Morales opened early after getting free in the middle of the box and hitting a quick shot past the keeper. Michal Mak was brought down in the box and converted the ensuing penalty to tie it up. Mateusz Mak crossed the ball in from the right wing and found his brother Michal Mak's head for the goal. Rubin played a big ball ahead for Michal Mak to race ahead and hit first time to the bottom right corner. Guadino found Michal Mak on the left side of the goal who moved it to his right foot before striking it past the keeper. Groß tracked down a loose ball off of a save and tapped it home for a goal. Rubin attacked the right side of the box before pulling it back and finding Michal Mak on the left side who placed it to the right side of the goal. Leckie added the last goal of the night with a well placed shot from the right side of the goal inside the near post.

Choupo-Moting made his way to the middle of the box and rose up to head a cross into the top right corner. Michal Mak was able to track down the deflection off Gatt's shot and tap it into the empty net. Choupo-Moting made his way to the right side of the goal and faked a shot before cutting it inside and getting a shot off inside the near post. Aogo made his way to the back post and headed a cross inside the top right corner for the final goal of the match.

FC Bayern Munich 5 - FC St. Pauli 0

Alonso tracked down another loose ball at the top of the box and took one touch past the defender and blasted it inside the near post. A great display of passing led to Robben getting the ball in the middle of the box and slotting it inside the left post. Lewandoswki showed off some nice footwork to weave through the defense and get a shot off past the keeper. Lewandoswki the completed the hat-trick with an easy header of the defense on a cross, placing it in the top right corner of the goal.

                      MOTM: Buchtmann

Raffael took advantage of poor goal keeping and scored on a near post shot that should have been covered with ease. Michal Mak jumped over a tackle and turned towards goal slotting it home to the bottom left. Kruse fired a strong left footed shot from outside the box into the top right corner to gain the lead. Gatt sent a corner into the box that found Bomheuer's head and settled into the left side of the net. Vacha got the ball on the left side of the goal and took a touch around van Nieff's sliding challenge before hitting a strong shot past the keeper for the winning goal.

St. Pauli Player of the Month

                      Michal Mak

In a month where offense was hard to come by, Michal Mak was seemingly the only player to find form. He put up a gaudy 7 goals including a stunning 5 goal performance against Ingolstadt where he couldn't be stopped.

                      Press Conference
Q: A nightmare of a month with no wins in league play. What can you say about this awful form your squad is in right now?

A: Our defense is a disaster. Just about anyone could seemingly score on us right now. Our only win in the month we were lucky to score 5 goals to offset the 3 we allowed. Changes will absolutely be made, and you can expect to see different combinations of defense and even keepers until we solve this.

Q: Outside of the first match, you only scored 3 goals over the remainder of the month. What is the cause for the sudden drop in goal scoring?

A: Other than Michal Mak, everyone else seemed to struggle finding the back of the net. Our service was poor, we gave the ball away too many times in the final third, and we just lacked creativity overall. The attack was certainly a problem, but the bigger concern was the defense and that will be our first priority.

Q: You move on to face Werder Bremen in the semi-finals of the Deutscher Pokal. What chances do you feel you have to advance to the final against either Hoffenheim or Bayer Munich?

A: As of right now I'd be crazy to say we have a good chance. Luckily the match isn't until April and that gives us time to address our many problems. I can only hope I have a more optimistic response after this next month.

Tell me about it After the first match I thought that I was going to be on a goal scoring rampage this month, boy was I wrong.

Not only did I lose every league match, I lost some in EMBARRASSING fashion. Somehow I am still in the top 6 despite losing 4 league matches this month though

Southampton hire Titan753 as new manager!

Titan is a new manager to the world of football and has high pressure from the fans and board! They expect him to lead the Saints to a mid table finish.

About 2 weeks after his appointment Titan tells the media about his transfer policy. He said that he only will buy young players for the first team and for the future.
