August Update
Matchday 1
Liverpool V Southampton
0-2
Dustan Tadic impressed me on his debut with an amazing through ball to Ward-Prouse. Difficult first half but pulled through in the second!
Matchday 2
Southampton V West Brom
5-0
When you have got a man like ward-prouse in the CAM position he can do wonders. He can score from anywhere on the field! We were luck with the third goal thanks to a Ben Foster error. Jay Rodriguez was my man of the match with a sizzling goal from outside the box and then runs the whole field doing skills and slots it home!
Matchday 3
West Ham V Southampton
1-1
Quite a game of ping pong really. One end to the other attack to defense then in the 90th min super sub Mayuka smashes it home. I go park the bus and Clyne air swings a cross and Andy Carroll places it into the back of Mat Ryan's net. It was a good debut for the Aussie and it is going to be hard to distinguish the #1 GK.
Breaking News!
Straight after the West Ham game Titan reveals new and final signing.
Williams joins the Saints from Palace for $1.8million

Match 4
Southampton 1-1 Swansea
Sigurdsson 9'
Schneiderlin 59'
MotM: Lukasz Fabianski
Shelvey had a shot which Forster got down well to save but Sigurdsson was there to poke in the rebound. Osvaldo had a great chance to equalize on 21 minutes but he shot over. Bony had the opportunity to put us 2 ahead but Forster made a good save in the 50th minute. Southampton got level on 59 minutes through Morgan Schneiderlin. Southampton moved it well around our area making space and eventually Schneiderlin shot from the penalty spot through Amat's legs and past Fabianski. Fabianski saved from Osvaldo as he tried to chip him in the 72nd minute. Redmond had a chance with a volley but Gonzalez blocked it before it landed in Forster's hands.
"We created some good chances and all of our shots were on target. (7 out of 7.) We just couldn't find a way past Forster a second time. Still a point is a good result against a good Southampton side that have some real talent."
Group Match 1
Swansea 4-3 Standard Liege
Reid 8'
Watt 61'
Watt 68'
Ings 70'
Berahino 75'
Watt 77'
Berahino 90'
MotM: Tony Watt
Standard Liege showed early signs as De Camargo struck the post in the 2nd minute. But Reid got his first goal for the club when he climbed highest to meet a corner swung in by Ki. The header went right into the corner and there was nothing Thuram could do about it. Mpoku struck a big long ball over the top between Reid and Amat to Watt who then proceeded to finish past Scuffet. 7 minutes later shockingly Standard Liege were in front through Watt again. He found himself free to head in a cross past Scuffet. Dyer determined not to lose dispossessed Teixeira and then passed it through to Ings who curled it into the far corner. Soon after Scuffet was accused of coming through Carcela when he punched away a corner. It was clearly not a penalty. Scuffet saved the spot kick from Mpoku diving left and pushing it away. Berahino and Sigurdsson came off the bench and were both involved in the goal. Sigurdsson passed to Gomis who played it through to Berahino who beat the Center Half for pace and then turned back onto his right to finish it. A piece of luck gave Watt a hat trick when a long ball bounced off the back of his head as he was running wrong footing Scuffet leaving him with an open goal to tap into. The bizarre events didn't end there however as in the last minute of the game Delph took a shot from the edge of the box and it deflected in off Berahino as he ran across the path of the ball leaving Thurm helpless as he had dived to stop Delph's shot.
"Again we need to tighten up our defense as we left in soft goals that nearly cost us the game had it not been for the bit of luck at the end and Simone's (Scuffet) fine penalty save."
Match 5
Swansea 2-2 Newcastle
Berahino 15'
Gouffran 20'
Berahino 52'
Ilicic 66'
MotM: Gylfi Sigurdsson
Sigurdsson took a powerful shot with his left foot and all Krul could do was palm it straight into the path of Berahino who volleyed it into the left bottom corner. The Magpies responded quickly through the Frenchman Gouffran when he got on the end of a through ball from De Jong and slotted it around Fabianski into the net. Redmond then produced a fine save from Krul. Newcastle struck the woodwork shortly before halftime and that was it for the first half. Sigurdsson picked up the ball out wide before picking out Berahino's run. Lascelles just missed the ball with a sliding tackle giving Berahino all the time he needed to pick his spot and give us the lead. The Ivorian Tiote missed a glorious chance in the 60th minute under pressure from Fernandez. Gouffran was involved again this time he was assisting Ilicic. He chipped a ball over the defense and then Ilicic cheekily chipped it over the out-rushing Fabianski. 10 minutes later Ilicic had a chance to win it when he found space inside the box but he blasted over.
"Another point which is good. I feel that we played well but we just didn't have that finishing touch to our game. Credit to Newcastle though, they played well and deserved a point."
Capital One Cup Round 3
Swansea 1-2 Manchester United
Bony 28'
Van Persie 74'
Nani 87'
MotM: Ander Herrera
We showed our intent early with 2 good chances from Dyer (5') and Reid (15') with Lindegaard making a brilliant save onto the post for Dyer's effort and Reid's header going just over. A throw in near the corner flag came back to Clyne who swung a brilliant cross in and Bony used his strength and power to jump above Jones and past Lindegaard. Hayes decided to park the bus and defend the 1 goal advantage. Di Maria had 2 chances in quick succession but couldn't convert in the 58th and 62nd minute respectively. Bony nearly added a second header on 68 minutes but Lindegaard saved comfortably. Then it all went horribly wrong as Van Persie came off the bench and back heeled the ball to Herrera, got it straight back then turned Ki in the box before finishing past Fabianski. Di Maria then drew Taylor to him before passing it through to the second substitute Nani, Redmond didn't track him properly!!, and his shot went in off the post ending our cup run in the 87th minute.
"We did well to take the lead and defend it until late on. We had reduced them to long shots for most of the game and we actually had more shots on target, 5 out of 7 compared to 2 out of 10. That being said they just had that bit of quality in the final third that we were lacking."
Match 6
Crystal Palace 3-4 Swansea
Berahino 7'
Berahino 31'
Campbell 52'
Bolaise 60'
Berahino 74'
Amat 77' OG
Bony 82'
MotM: Saido Berahino
It was a devastating counter attack as a header cleared by Reid landed at Bony's feet. He in turn passed it to Dyer who had made his way into the center circle. Berahino had made up a lot of ground down the left hand side and Joe Ledley could not keep up with his blistering pace. He brought it into the box and finished it in off the post past Palace captain Julian Speroni. Dyer had a chance to double the lead but Speroni made a good save and from the ensuing corner Stambouli met it well but headed wide. Bony gave Berahino the ball near the box and when he tried to find Dyer's run Hangeland got in the way but luckily the ball bounced up into Berahino's path again and he made no mistake with the finish volleying past Speroni before he could react. This strike was his 8th of the season. Campbell got space in the box and his weak strike was pushed back to him to tap in by Fabianski. Bolaise was left all alone to head in the equalizer from a Williams cross on 60 minutes. A header from a corner and another Williams chance followed. Berahino however completed his hat trick on 74 minutes when Bony attacked down the right side of the box before turning back and passing it into Berahino's path who smashed it home. A ball over the top went to Campbell who turned and had a shot which was deflected in by Amat who was trying to block it. Redmond came off the bench and made a great run down the line into space and was found by Taylor. He looked up and found Bony who powerfully headed it past Speroni.
"Yes we scored 4 but I'm furious with our defending, it was absolutely diabolical. A complete shambles. We should have not let them get so many shots away. If it wasn't for Saido (Berahino) and Wilfried (Bony) being in great form we would have lost this game plain and simple."
Player of the Month
Saido Berahino
The young Englishman scored 8 goals this month and is leading the race for the golden boot. He has been in great form recently and has formed a great relationship with Bony up top. Long may it continue!

McClean 50'
Costa 52'
Mata 60'

MotM: Diego Costa
Hayes' first match in charge got off to a horrible start as Costa turned Wilson easily and fired past Westwood in the first minute. But 7 minutes later Long picked up the ball on the halfway line from Ireland. He sprinted past the static Busquets turned back inside to the middle of the goal and shot from the edge of the box into the corner past Casillas. Iniesta restored the lead quickly with a shot in off the post 4 minutes after Long's goal. Navas scored a third on 28 minutes. Some good passing play ended with Long finding McClean's run inside Navas on the left. McClean then coolly slid it under Casillas. But straight from kick off Costa got another and shortly Mata and Navas had made it 6-2.
"A terrible performance. Yes Spain are a great team but some of our defending was abysmal. We will need to pick it up against Russia."

Dzyuba 51'
Ireland 55'
Dzyuba 58'
Stokes 66'

MotM: Artem Dzyuba
Looking to add his first win as Irish manager Hayes headed to face a tough Russian side. A free kick however was cleared and the ball found its way to Glushakov in the middle of our half. His long pass found Dzyuba's run in behind Wilson and Clark and he headed it beyond Westwood just 9 minutes in. Long had an effort well charged down by Akinfeev, the Russian keeper, before he set up McGeady with a ball through the legs of Bryzgalov, the Russian Center Half, but McGeady's shot was a poor one. McClean then hit the post after getting inside Kombarov, the Russian Winger, who failed to track him properly and onto the end of McCarthy's pass. Dzyuba got a second when he got too much space outside our box and unleashed a rocket from a good 8-10 yards outside our box into the top corner. Hayes reacted switching to a 4-4-2 Diamond Wide and replacing Gibson with Stokes. It produced immediate results as Stokes picked up a throw in off Coleman on the corner of the box. He dribbled in down the side of the box and delivered a perfect cross to find Ireland, who had peeled away from Tarasov, and he headed home. However Dzyuba completed his hat trick 3 minutes later talking in a ball played across the goal. Stokes was involved again this time he dispossessed Bryzgalov around the halfway line and had a clear run at goal before tucking it away past Akinfeev. After a series of close chances from corners with Akinfeev at his best to deny them Long snatched an equalizer 10 minutes from time. Stokes played an outside of the boot through ball to him and he outdid Berezutskiy for pace before calmly putting it past Akinfeev. Minutes later Westwood produced a stunning close range save to keep it level.
"A better performance but we need to tighten up at the back if we want to qualify from this tough group."

Tex, that month was horrific! I know Bayern and Schalke are good teams but ten goals in two games is too much. Your defenders should be ashamed and benched.

I know I said I'd be doing an Italian team but It just wasn't my cup of tea
Now it's Monaco
1st season was simmed except 2 of the last 3 games
AS Monaco Have a new manager as of the 2014-15 season. What’s his name you may be asking yourself?
None other than the Legend himself David Beckham.
David Beckham had a tough task his first season as a manager and that task was to win the league.
Now then he had 99,000,000 to buy players and you may be wondering what did he do with it?
Well for starters he bought Karim Benzema.
then he decides to bring in a Goalkeeper
Who you may be wondering?
None other than Stephane Ruffier
.
He then Loaned out some players to give them a chance to get First team Football.
Fast Forward to January and Monaco is 2nd in the League table battling it out with
Marseille, and Paris-Saint-Germain
David Beckham didn’t back down and made some amazing Pre Contract signings
The biggest being Sami Khedira coming to Monaco on a free transfer.
The others being Cedric Mongongou, and Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik
Over the Course of the season Monaco had built quite an amazing Academy.
(Which Keano can back me up on)
3 of which got contracts to the Senior team
With 3 games left Monaco had a chance to win the League title, they were three points behind Marseille
and the first of those three games was against Marseille away from home
which we won 3-0(I think)
the last two were against FC Metz, and FC Lorient
I simmed the Metz game and we won 3-2 and Marseille drew against LOSC Lille
That put us at the top of the table
With one game remaining AS Monaco had the chance to win the league
All they needed to do was Beat FC Lorient
Should be easy right?
well that’s what David Beckham thought going into the game but
Lorient put up a fight to remember they kept us scoreless til
halftime then we get 2 goals to go up 2-0
Lorient get a consolation goal in the 84’ but that didn’t matter because we closed out the final 6’ to win the league
David Beckham gets Manager of the Season and Karim Benzema wins the golden Boot with a 30 goal season.
The 2015-16 season started great for AS Monaco as they made a lot of transfers in the summer window
The first being a Goalkeeper who would never see any play here who went to Dundee FC for 70k
next was Kamara going to SC Bastia for 240k
This next one was our 2nd biggest transfer which had AS Monaco buying Mattia De Sciglio from Milan for 25 Million
This Next transfer saw Monaco buy Jack Wilshere from Arsenal for 27.5 Million
Next was Obbadl going to Bordeaux for 1.3 million
These next two were dead weight that needed to go
Diallo->FC Sochaux
Assana->Valenciennes FC
Then David Beckham decided to loan out two players to get them some playing time
Cissako-> FC Sochaux
Pi-> Blackburn Rovers
this next transfer saw Carvajal Come to Monaco from Real Madrid for 19 million
Finally this last transfer saw Dominique Pandor go to Stade de Reims for 525k
The formation that will be used this year is a modified 4-4-2
There is also going to be a B team this year for Monaco as we have a good amount of talent but not enough places
in the first team for(Credit goes to Chico for giving me the Idea from reading his CM updates)
The first game of the League saw Stade Reims take on Monaco
Monaco won this game very easily 4-0
Game 2: Stade Rennais vs AS Monaco(B team)
14’ Anthony Martial
42’ D.Pintos
Easy game for Monaco’s B team up until the 84’ when Konradsson scores a diving header to put the game
2-1
Game 3 saw AS Monaco play its first home game of the season against St Etienne
This game was not very interesting and it ended in a 0-0 draw
Game 4 saw Monaco lose it’s first game of the season against FC Nantes
We played terribly in this game Nantes just had the ball and we could not keep the ball for more than a minute the game ended 2-0Currently Playing:

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Keano: Talk about goals, goals, goals! Huge comback win in Europe, and honestly losing in the Cup is probably better for you so that you have a bit more freedom in the other competitions, especially the league. Berahino is flying for you, just need to shore up that defense to make a serious challenge for possibly even the title!
Tex: Talk about a massacre, it's a great thing you have that five goal performance to look back on fondly because otherwise not a lot of positives in those results. Although, thankfully now you're done with Bayern and Schalke and it really didn't kill you too much in terms of league position, so you may ultimately come out of this unscathed.
Titan: Looking forward to seeing what you can do with a promising Southampton team!
Rabbit: Loving this writeups, it really gives a depth to the career mode that is needed once you get deeper and deeper into the career and really brings those youth players that you have in the squad to life. Really looking forward to seeing how that CF/CAM Farago performs for you as really the fulcrum of your team, he should lead you fantastically.Check out my Pitt Panthers Dynasty (NCAA Football 14)

FC St. Pauli 0 - 1899 Hoffenheim 2
HOF - Abraham 23', Rode 80'
MOTM: Rode
Rode was left unmarked on a corner and had the ball played to him on the near post. He fired a shot and Buchtmann bumped the keeper causing him to miss the save. Rode put the match away after receiving the ball in the box and taking a crafty touch to avoid the defender and hit it back to the left side of the goal.
FC St. Pauli 3 - FSV Mainz 2
STP - Mateusz Mak 13', Rubin 28', 79'
M05 - Koo Ja Cheol 33', Unal 55'
MOTM: Rubin
Çiftçi played the ball between two defenders finding Mateusz Mak on the left side of the goal for a first time strike to the top right corner. Buchtmann found Rubin running down the right side of the box before hitting it hard to the top right corner of the goal. Koo Ja Cheol lost his defender and got the ball in front of goal for a quick strike to cut the lead in half. Koch headed a ball down into Unal's path for a quick hit past the keeper to tie it up. Buchtmann made a great tackle in the midfield and played the ball ahead to Çiftçi on the counter who laid it off to Rubin as the keeper rushed him for the easy tap in and the win.
FC St. Pauli 3 - Bayern Leverkusen 4
STP - Mateusz Mak 6', van Nieff 25', Çiftçi 45'
B04 - Son 34', 49', 83', Calhanoglu 72'
MOTM: Son

Van Nieff stepped up from 30 yards out and hit a perfect free kick into the top left corner. Bacuna foolishly kept Son onside and he went through uncontested for the easy goal. Michal Mak sent in a cross from the right wing that Çiftçi was able to rise above the defender and head to the top left of the goal. Son added another one when he headed home a set piece after losing his man on poor marking. Calhanoglu then stepped up and matched van Nieff's free kick with one of his own into the top right corner. Son then completed his hat-trick after beating the keeper to a long ball played over the top and heading it up and over him to complete the collapse by St. Pauli.

St. Pauli Player of the Month
Rubio Rubin
Rubio Rubin was the star man in the club's only win this month. He scored a brace in the match, and both goals were sorely needed as St. Pauli won by 1.
Press Conference
Q: You managed a win this month, but your results are still far below the standard you set in the first half of the season. How do you feel about the current run of form?
A: It's frustrating. We are better than this, we have proved that over the course of the first 6 months of this season. We have to get back to the basics and turn this around. Defend, defend, defend. That is all you will hear from me until this turns around.
Q: You did manage a win this month though. Are you happy with the results from the match against Mainz?
A: I am happy with the points, but not happy with the performance. We were lucky to outscore the opponents, and we proved just how lucky we were by completely blowing the match against Leverkusen after that. We had that game won, and then we just stopped defending and gave up three straight goals.
Q: This next month is your biggest in terms of number of matches. How will you handle the amount of fixtures for your squad?
A: Six matches this month is something we have yet to experience. It is a tough time to go into this with our current run of form, but I think we can use it as a chance to get back on the right track. Our first focus will be the semi-final of the Deutscher Pokal against Werder Bremen. This is our chance at hardware this season, and to win my first trophy with St. Pauli would be something truly special.

St. Pauli Player of the Month
Yoell van Nieff
Yoell van Nieff contributed all over the pitch this month playing both in the midfield and on the back line. He provided extra fire power in the attack, led an improved but still shaky defense, and showed brilliance on set pieces. His free kick against Frankfurt was another signature moment for him.
Press Conference
Q: Much improved results this month winning some matches, and even earning a point away from home against Dortmund. Are you happy with the improvement in your squad?
A: There is still a lot of improvement for us left. We were able to win a couple matches in the last minute, so those are matches that could have had a different result. I was hoping to keep some clean sheets this month, but we conceded in every match. Ultimately though, we were able to earn points, and for that I am happy.
Q: You are 3 points behind Hannover for the 6th spot. They have an advantage in goal differential over you by 5 goals. Do you believe it is possible to pass them up with only 1 match left?
A: It is possible, yes. Obviously we would need them to lose, but we also have to come up with a big win of our own. This match is more important than ever to try to keep that clean sheet that has been eluding us for some months now. We have to play the perfect game on both sides, and hope for the right results in Hannover's match.
Q: In other significant news, you have reached the final of the Deutscher Pokal. You will face off against FC Bayern Munich to determine who will lift the trophy. Does you believe you have a chance to knock off such a huge club and win this?
A: We haven't beaten Bayern yet, but there is a first time for everything. We are so close now that the players truly want this more than anything. To win this cup would be monumental for the club, and really lead us in the right direction going into next season. We will put our best XI out there and hope for the right result.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
September Update
Capital One Cup
Southampton V York
1-0
Playing a weaker side a 1-0 win was expected thanks to Sam Gallagher. Overall a strong performance by the youth and more wise players put into one.
Matchday 4
Southampton V Newcastle
1-1
James Ward-Prowse is an amazing player whether he be in the CAM or CM position. Scores from anywhere and he gave us the lead in the 2nd min. Then a lack of discipline cost us the second by giving away a penalty and Demba Pappis Cisse was there to convert it. A tough game and a draw was deserved.
Matchday 5
Swansea V Southampton
1-2
A very slow game with both teams playing possession football. Untill the 80th min where Jay Rodriguez slots one home past Adrian who recently moved from West Ham for $5.5 million. Then a hole in our defense cost us in the 90th min at the hands of Sigurdsson. Straight off kick off our wonder man James Ward-Prowse with some beautiful skill moves up the field and finds a hole and shoots and as expected now he scores!
Capital One Cup
Manchester United V Southampton
2-0
Clyne gave away a stupid penalty and Rooney coverted then Rooney put another one away. We woke up and attacked but their defense was way to strong (Unlike real life, btw I am a Man Utd fan!) We turned up hoping for an upset but we fell short.
Matchday 6
Southampton V QPR
2-1
Once again our man Ward-Prowse was there to score early on in the match, however that was short lived thanks to Vargas' stunning header. Then things got worse with Sule picked up a 2nd yellow and was shown red. Then Jay Rodriguez amazingly slotted on home from 34 yards! Then we parked the bus and held off for the win!
Player of the month goes to...
JAMES WARD-PROWSE
Overall a pleasing month. Was sad to bow out of the cup so early but there is always the FA Cup! James was amazing this month. Ryan and Forster still battle it out. Forster i so good in the air while Ryan is so quick and agile yet so strong! Strikers seem to not be scoring so may buy one in January. Otherwise thats all for me. Next update will be the October one.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
You're doing very well in the league to be in a CL spot but those results weren't that good. A lot of dropped points and the games against Crawley and Crystal Palace looked tough. I'm a bit surprised that Berahino is doing that well. By the way, I'm sorry to say this but you can't qualify for the Euro 2016 because all of the games hsve been played (5x2=10). I hope you made a mistake somewhere while writing that.
Keano: Talk about goals, goals, goals! Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
@Tex, A really tough March but a better April. I hope you can clinch 6th spot!
@Titan, A decent month. It was a slightly disappointing draw at Newcastle and then the 2-0 loss to United is never easy. Ward-Prowse seems to be doing amazingly well for you.Comment
