September 2015
Bayern München 0 - 2 Hertha BSC
Stocker 16', Kalou 64'
Going into this game Bayern were the favourites. Hertha's team went out and they played a defensive game, relaying mainly on counter attacks. This playing style worked straight away as Timo Werner received the ball on the left wing. The youngster accelerated past Rafinha the right back and he got to the edge of the box. Werner then passed the ball to Valentin Stocker in the middle who shot the ball into the bottom right corner with his left foot. The following half an hour was pretty similar but in the second half Hertha started to gain some possession. Then, in the 64th minute Timo Werner started another deadly counter attack thanks to his lightning fast pace and just like in Stocker's goal Werner played the ball to Kalou in the box who just curled it around Manuel Neuer. A great win for the Berliners!
Hertha BSC 2 - 0 Standart Liege
Drmic 61', Sane 85'
The first group game in the Europa League for Hertha BSC started off in the same fashion as their qualifiers against Djurgården. A dull first half had only two shots in it but everything changed in the last 30 minutes of the game. First Josip Drmic scored from a counter attack and then the team started playing well and attacking like they usually do. Five minutes before the end Andre Hahn's shot got parried by the keeper but Leroy Sane was the first man to get to the ball to tap it into the net. In the other game of the group Kilmarnock managed to beat Real Sociedad.
Hertha BSC 3 - 0 Hamburger SV
Kalou 51', 61', 77'
It's starting to become a tradition for Hertha to play badly in the first half of the game and then score a few goals in the second half. In the first six minutes of the second half Andre Hahn crossed the ball in from the right flank. Salomon Kalou got around his man and he put the ball to the back of the net with a diving header! He then got a brace ten minutes later from a counter attack. Fifteen minutes after that the league top scorer finished his hattrick after he stole the ball from HSV's central defender.
Fortuna Düsseldorf 1 - 1 Hertha BSC
Bodzek 76'
Bomheuer 47' OG
The Berliners had to play a weak team because of their game against Wolfsburg after two days. That could be the main reason why they drew with second-bottom Düsseldorf. The first half was boring once again but in the first minutes of the second half Josip Drmic's shot got deflected into the net by Bomheuer. Half an hour later Düsseldorf managed to equalise thanks to bad keeping by Thomas Kraft.
Hertha BSC 3 - 2 VfL Wolfsburg
Werner 25', Kalou 48', 79'
Djordjevic 37', Gustavo 90'
The Olympiastadion and it's fans are starting to become very important for Hertha BSC who are unbeaten at home this season. This time the Berliners managed to score in the first half when Timo Werner curled one in from a counter attack. The lead didn't last long because Filip Djordjevic scored a rebound shot ten minutes later. In the second half the in-form Kalou tapped the ball into the net from Timo Werner's pass. Half an hour later Kalou got his brace from a counter attack. In stoppage time Luiz Gustavo got one back for Wolfsburg but it wasn't enough for his team.
Player of the Month
Salomon Kalou
The 30-year-old striker is still unreplaceble for Hertha BSC who are playing the Ivorian as their starting striker after a very successful campaign last season. Kalou scored six goals in four appearances this month and he's on tracks to pick up his second golden boot for the second season in a row.
Hot or Not
Hot
Salomon Kalou
The striker continued to deliver the goods in September as he picked up his sixth Player of the Month award in a row.
Timo Werner
The young attacker proved his qualities this month with three important assists and one good goal. He also showed that he understands the game well and Hertha is starting to look like the right choice for his future.
Joel Matip
Matip has become a big figure in the centre of the defence for Hertha Berlin. The young man has been on top of his game and he has stopped many dangerous attacks. Matip's tackling skills and strength in the air make him a very good defender.
Not
No one.

thanks tex I appreciate that It means a lot to me. It hasnt been easy going through this. I've been on the brink of a mental breakdown multiple times since the diagnosis. I start treatment next week and I wish you guys the best of luck in your future endeavors.
Thanks indi I appreciate the kind words it makes me feel like I have support in this situation. I've had many people I know bite the dust to cancer. The possibility of that happening to me is driving me insane. I've even resorted to things that I shouldn't have even tried but I did to curve my depression.Last edited by sportsfreak96; 03-30-2015, 10:42 AM.Currently Playing:

Deportivo La Coruña Player of the Month
Germán Lux
Germán Lux led the resurgence in the defense this month allowing only 3 goals in 4 matches, only a fraction of what last month saw let in. His presence in goal has been key to keeping the defense organized all season, and he will need to continue this form and step up his leadership for the remaining 10 matches.
Manager Comments
Defensive Turnaround - After two shocking months of poor defense, the team as a whole improved drastically this month allowing 3 goals in 4 matches. Germán Lux was the man between the sticks playing outstanding football, and his play motivated the back line to step up their form as well.
Academy Update - Rafael Ansaldi felt he was ready to move to the first team and we granted his request, but it remains to be see when he will make his debut. Javier Marquez and Jordi Garcia are two new additions to the academy. Marquez appears to be an attacking player while Garcia will likely feature in the defense.
Injury Crisis - This month saw injuries to Haris Medunjanin, Luis Fariña, and Lucas Perez, with Fariña being the only player out for significant time, missing the next 4 weeks. This caused some shuffling in the midfield, but our form held up and we were able to push past it and now have Medunjanin and Perez both available once again.

Champions League Group Stage Match 1
Liverpool 1-0 Real Madrid
Coutinho 42
We had control and played conservatively, having 100% possession for the first 10 minutes. The first chance of the game came when Harry Kane thundered his header just wide from Clyne's cross. Real came close minutes later when Kroos headed over from a good move. We took the lead just before half time when Sturridge played a wonderful ball to Coutinho entering the box, who fired across goal into the bottom corner. Real came close to equalising when Bale forced an excellent save from Mignolet before Henderson's header from a corner forced Casillas into a remarkable save. Khedira headed over 5 minutes from time when in open space from a corner and with the last attack of the game Ronaldo headed over from 6 yards.
Match 5
West Ham 0-3 Liverpool
Sturridge 4
Sturridge 10
Lambert 90
Sturridge gave us the lead early on with an excellent right footed half volley from Clynes cross, smashing into the near corner. The second came when Sterling crossed in for Sturridge to hit on the half volley. The initial effort was saved but he converted it on the rebound to make it 2-0. Sturridge had a good effort from outside the box saved before Kouyate missed a sitter. The Senegal international then headed wide late on. Substitute Gray made a mockery of Jenkinson is stoppage time, crossing in for Sterling who whipped it across goal for Lambert to fire into the back of the net.
League Cup Round 3
Burnley 0-1 Liverpool (aet)
Lambert 120
We did not deserve to win by a long shot, but for all of Burnley's attacking our defence was astonishing. The first real chance of the game came when Ings forced Mignolet into a brilliant one handed save. We didn't have man real chances, the first coming in the 81st minute when Gray was played through and he struck the post when one-on-one with the keeper. We played better in extra time and Heaton was forced into a good save to deny Skrtel from a corner. We broke Burnley hearts in the last minute of extra time, substitute Sturridge whipping the ball in for Lambert to loop his header over the keeper and into the back of the net.
Match 6
Liverpool 1-0 Everton
Sturridge 81
The first chance of the game came towards the end of a dull first half, Pienaar cutting inside and firing wide. Mignolet was then forced into an excellent save by Lukaku, getting down quickly towards his bottom right. Everton had the majority of the chances but Sturridge gave us the winner, beating his man with some neat skill before powering the ball into the top corner with the outside of his boot. Lukaku headed wide minutes later and he forced Migs into an excellent save with his feet in stoppage time.
Champions League Group Stage Match 2
FC Basel 1-2 Liverpool
Kakitani 51
Ibe 81
Gray 90
Basel were all over us in this game, missing the first chance of the game, firing wide of an open goal after Mignolet had been beaten. Elneny then had his effort saved and he fired the rebound over the bar. Migs then made a stunning low save to deny Delgado. Kakitani finally gave the Swiss side the lead, firing in after Migs had made a stunning initial save to deny his header. Ibe undeservedly equalised for us late on, skipping inside before being tackled, but he won the ball back and stroked into the bottom corner. The winner came when Gray picked up the ball on the half way line, he beat 6 players, drifting to the right hand side. He cut inside and smashed it in at the near post to get an undeserved 3 points.

Barclays Premier League Match:
Manchester City 2 – Exeter City 3
EXE –Konate (11’)Jason Banton tackles Eliaquim Mangala on the half-way line and sprints forward. He picks a lovely through ball into Inters Konate who advances towards the goal. He gets into the box and shoots. The ball zips along the ground and past the outstretched leg of Joe Hart to give Exeter City the lead!
MAN – Toure (PEN) (14’)Scott Sinclair sprints into the box and unleashes a powerful shot. Joseph Gomez tries to block the shot but instead collides into Dzeko. The referee thinks it’s a penalty and Gomez gets no card. How harsh! Yaya Toure steps up and places the ball into the right corner after a stutter which makes the keeper go the opposite way.
MAN –Negredo (25’)Negredo easily skips past a challenge by Tamás and drifts into the middle. The Exeter defence stand still and invite Negredo to run past them and smash the ball across Mabil and into the top left corner.
EXE – Appiah (74’)Exeter City press for the equaliser and Liam Sercombe steals the ball off of Matija Nastasić and rolls the ball to Appiah who finds himself one-on-one with the keeper. He opens up his body to place the ball far into the corner.
EXE – Appiah (90’+2’)Matija Nastasić takes too much time on the ball again and he’s quickly dispossessed by Tamás. The ball rolls to Appiah who suddenly cuts inside and sprints into the box where he hits the ball along the ground and into the far right corner. This is one of the most surprising results of the season so far!

MAN – Rooney (36’)Danny Welbeck slots the ball through the defence and into the back post where Nick Powell’s shot is saved by Glen Mabil. The rebound falls to Wayne Rooney who just kicks the ball into the empty goal.

NEW –Abeid (19’)Jack Colback slots the ball behind the defence for Mehdi Abeid who flicks the ball to the left before finishing low past the keeper.
NEW – Sissoko (40’)Saiz Alonso gives a free-kick away around twenty-six yards out. Moussa Sissoko runs up and smashes the ball up against the post and in. That was such a powerful free-kick!
EXE – Feudjou (48’)Benjamin Feudjou comes on for the injured Inters Konate at half-time and he makes an instant difference. Due to intensely high pressure by the Exeter squad, the ball is passed back to Steven Taylor who’s tackled by Feudjou. He sprints down the left wing and dummies a shot to be able to get rid of his marker whilst also cutting into the middle where he calmly places the ball into the bottom corner after clipping the post before going in.
NEW – Pérez (70’)Arce Jr. loses the ball and that allows Dan Gosling to float the ball onto the chest of Ayoze Pérez and hit to past Glen Mabil to make it three-one.

EXE – Feudjou (38’)Robert Bauer sprints down the right to pull the ball back to Feudjou who’s unmarked. He takes a touch to control it before smashing it down low and into the bottom left corner.
NOR – Murphy (42’)El Kaoutari slots the ball through to Josh Murphy who’s on the edge of the box. Joseph Gomez runs straight past him allowing him to run into the empty space and beat the keeper at his near post.
EXE – Feudjou (47’)He gets his hat-trick as a corner from the left is delivered into the box where he rises above the rest to head into the top left corner. Even the man on the post could not get his head to it.
EXE –Morgunov (58’)Maxime Blanc skips into the penalty area where he takes a shot but Ruddy gets down low to save it. The ball rebounds to Alan Morgunov who opens up his body to just slot it into the open goal for his first for the club.
EXE – Feudjou (64’)And he’s there again! The Norwich defence is breaking down badly here! Alan Morgunov sprints down the left wing and is able to cut in and give the ball to Feudjou who can easily put the ball past the out-of-position, John Ruddy. That makes it five for Exeter!
EXE –Inniss (90’+4’)Deep into the four minutes added, Alan Morgunov delivers the ball into the middle where Ryan Inniss rises above his two markers at the back post to head the ball into the top corner from quite an awkward angle.
Our Best Performer: Benjamin Feudjou

Press Conference:
Q: In recent news, there have been murmurs that Reece Brown and Benjamin Feudjou have requested for a transfer and Sylvain Gbohouo has asked to be loaned out simultaneously. Is there some sort of crisis in the dressing rooms that we don’t know about?
A: Of course not! It’s just a mere coincidence and obviously, they’d want to give me a heads up a couple of months before the January transfer window so that I can give them the necessary feedback and paperwork. I’m expecting an official transfer request by Reece (Brown) and Benjamin (Feudjou) in the next few weeks.
Q: You’ve dropped all the way down to eighth after a month of extremely tough opponents in the league. Was this expected?
A: Well, all I wanted was to keep winning points and that’s what we did. We won against Manchester City! And all I expect is a few points every month and I’ll be fine. In the table, we’re still overachieving in my opinion. We’ve been playing really well and this is why we are still competing for the Europa league spots.
Manager’s Thoughts:
The drop down the table was expected and the fixtures we had this month were really tough. I’m glad that we have advanced in the Capital One Cup with a great display of attacking football up against Norwich. I’ve also just been notified that we will once again be playing Arsenal in the quarter finals. A lot of preparation will be needed in order to beat them and it’ll be as difficult as it was last year.
Despite the dip in points this month, the team has been playing exactly how I want them to be. Recently, Morgunov has been showing sparks of good form with a goal and an assist in the Norwich City game and he’s not feeling so sluggish anymore which allows him to easily get past full-backs. It was difficult to choose player of the month this time around. Kwabena Appiah is still a pivotal part of our success but Feudjou did score a lot this month (four in the Norwich game and our only goal in the Newcastle game) but Appiah was the man who allowed us to take the three points against Man City so that is why he was player of the month.
I’d also like to mention the fans. They have been really supportive this month. Our home games are filled with chants and cheers despite us not winning a single game at home this month. The supporters seem to have a new chant which booms around the stadium and has made this month an eventful one.

INJURY NEWS
Miguel Flaño suffered a Femur Contusion in training and will be out for 3 days.
Granada CF 2 - 3 CA Osasuna (B-Team)
GRA: Bravo 11' Dioni 75'
OSA: Kodro 34' Ramirez 39' Romeu 87'
Osasuna had a difficult start to the match as they struggled to get the ball past the midfield line. As they struggled to find spaces to pass to the midfielders, the centre backs Bigas and Miquel both lost a ball to a Granada striker once each but fortunately the first shot went wide and the second was saved by Rodriguez. However, Granada's striker Bravo tackled the ball away from Bigas for a third time and this time his shot went in past Rodriguez. After the goal Granada eased off the high pressure, giving Osasuna the initiative to attack. It wasn't until the 34th minute in which Osasuna finally capitalized on a scoring opportunity, as Jose David Ramirez crossed the ball into the box from the right wing and found Kenan Kodro who easily headed the ball into the net with his marker nowhere to be found. Just five minutes later Ramirez put Osasuna in the lead, this time scoring the goal himself thanks to a spot on through pass from Luque.
The match went on as primarily a midfield battle, until the 75th minute where Granada's winger sent a low cross down the box and found Dioni, who only had to tap the ball in as he had already beat his marker Romeu.
The draw looked imminent, until the 87th minute where Romeu redeemed himself with the winning goal!
Not only was this goal the winner, but it was also Paré Bulhões Romeu's first goal of his professional career! David Ferreiro had sprinted down the left wing and passed the ball down to Romeu who calmly finessed the ball into the net.
CA Osasuna (B-Team) 1 - 0 RCD Mallorca
OSA: Kodro 89'
Pedro Bigas was given the chance to face his former team as Chavez decided to field the B-Team for this match, which was tightly contested from the starting whistle. The fans were on their feet as we neared the end of the match because Mallorca threatened to end Osasuna's unbeaten home streak time and time again. Right before the 90th minute, Kenan Kodro received a pass from Oier with his back towards goal. He was given enough space to turn, and without hesitation he took a left footed shot on goal. Kodro was getting crowded by the defenders, and was taken down right after striking the ball, but with the players surrounding Kodro the goalkeeper wasn't able to react to the shot and just stood in the center as the ball went flying in to the net!
Europa League - Group Stage
Sporting CP 0 - 3 CA Osasuna
OSA: Palacios 32' 78' Torres 74'
Osasuna traveled to Portugal and came back with a dominant result, although the scoreline doesn't entirely reflect the course of the match. Osasuna's attack had been nullified but in the 32nd minute Victor Camarasa put Palacios into the box with a through ball. The German-Spanish striker took one touch to control the ball, and then struck a powerful low shot on goal. The goalkeeper attempted to save it but he must have slipped or something as he tried to parry it with his feet rather than diving.
Osasuna were ahead, but Sporting were the better side as they out shot the Spaniards in the first half. Sporting finished the first half with 6 shots on goal and only 1 on target while Osasuna finished with 2 shots on goal, one of them being the only goal of the match so far. In the second half Chavez brought on Paré Bulhões Vinuesa Ramos into the match to try and win the midfield back. The substitution worked out perfectly as Osasuna recovered the ball in midfield more often, however their attack was still lacking. As we got closer to the end of the match Sporting began to get more desperate and began to push higher up, leaving spaces in defense. This allowed Osasuna to be more effective in attack, and in the 74th minute Guillermo was fouled as he dribbled past his marker and was about to step in to the box. Roberto Torres took the free kick, and curved the ball over the wall and into the top corner of the net!
After the goal Chavez subbed off Guillermo and replaced him with Kodro, who immediately made an impact on the match just four minutes after being brought on. Kodro assisted the third goal of the match by passing the ball to Palacios as he was running in to the box. Palacios took a powerful left footed shot and completed his brace, while securing the three points.
Valencia CF 1 - 0 CA Osasuna
VAL: Parejo 3'
Osasuna traveled to La Mestalla to face Smitty's Valencia. The American manager got off to a perfect start as Parejo scored off a rebound in barely the 3rd minute of the match. Riesgo had blocked a shot and sent it high into the air, where it looked liked Sisi would easily clear it away from danger but instead of heading the ball Sisi tried to show off and clear it with a bicycle kick. This allowed Parejo to get his head to it and send it into the net with Riesgo still recovering from his previous dive. Osasuna really gave it their all to equalize, but Valencia's goalkeeper Dani Alves was at the top of his game earning the MOTM award with 10 saves.
CA Osasuna (B-Team) 2 - 2 Elche CF
ECF: Alvaro 14' 21'
OSA: Kodro 48' 84'
Just 21 minutes into the match and nothing but long faces on Osasuna's bench, as the B-Team were 2-0 down and dangerously close to losing the club's 14-month long unbeaten home streak in La Liga. The defense couldn't find a way to stop Elche's Alvaro and now with the 2-0 lead Elche focused on defending. The match went into halftime and even though there were plenty of worried faces in the stands the fans continued to support the home team. Barely three minutes into the second half Kenan Kodro, who had been having a terrible match so far, received the ball inside the box surrounded by Elche defenders and as a last recourse he took a shot on goal. The ball seemed to be going wide but it hit the post and actually went in!
Osasuna now had 42 minutes to equalize in order to keep their unbeaten streak. It was a nail biting second half as Elche decided to park the bus since the 75th minute. Osasuna attacked with everything they could but spaces were scarce. In the 84th minute, Oier sent Ramirez a through ball down the right wing but it looked like Ramirez wouldn't be able to reach it before going out of bounds. Ramirez put everything he had left on his sprint and somehow he actually reached it right as the ball was going over the line! The ball was all the way at the corner flag, but out of desperation Ramirez put in a Hail Mary cross that went directly towards Kenan Kodro's position. Kodro rose over his markers and headed the ball from near the penalty spot. The ball went high but quickly began to drop and made it past the keeper! Osasuna had equalized!!
El Sadar erupted with cheers and of course Kodro celebrated the goal with the fans. Even after losing the lead Elche left the bus parked in front of goal and had everyone behind midfield defending the point. Osasuna did push for the win, however there wasn't enough time. It may have only been a draw, but Osasuna keep their unbeaten home streak active.
SD Eibar 1 - 1 CA Osasuna
OSA: Torres 14'
SDE: Lara 67'
Eibar always complicates matches for Osasuna and today was no exception, as they managed to take two points away from the first team. Osasuna started off as the better team with Roberto Torres running in to the box from the right wing and powering the ball past the goalkeeper who was very close to saving it but just couldn't react in time.
With the lead Osasuna looked a little too comfortable and that is where Eibar took advantage and equalized in the 67th minute. Eibar and Osasuna both kept looking for the winning goal, but neither were able to find it in the closing minutes.
CA Osasuna Player of The Month
LM - Kenan Kodro (Spain) (65 OVR 23yrs) (+1)
*Used at ST
The 6'4" giant has been on fire so far this season, making his name known throughout the league. Last season he scored 10 goals (he didn't find regular play time until January) and just three months in to this season he's already at 8 goals; only two away from his season record. Standing at 6'4" his forte is in the air, however he has also scored goals with regular shots which shows he's not limited to headers.

Youth Academy
No New Addition
Alex Silva Gavan - RM (Spain) (59-63, 74-80): The 17 year old has decided to settle in at RM and is considered an attacker. With a 6'0" height he's a good fit pretty much anywhere on the field especially down the center, but he has decided he's most comfortable on the wing.
Chris Cropper - GK (United States) (49-53, 79-85): The third American goalkeeper to join the Youth Academy. At 16 years old he stands at 6'3" and his game is well balanced so far.
Chris Jamieson IV - GK (United States) (61-65, 78-84): Julian Rubin was the first American to join the academy, but now this 6'7" giant also from the United States has stolen the show as people are excited to see him between the sticks. At 16 years old he's looking like a solid candidate for a call up soon depending on how he shapes up with the U17s.
Eriq Lisch - GK (United States) (57-61, 88-94): The fourth and final American goalkeeper to join the academy. 16 years old, 6'1", and so far he looks like the most promising. From what we've seen of him with the U-17 he still needs to improve his positioning. Competition to be the first American to play for Osasuna is hot.
Eñaut Gabbiadini - CDM (Spain) (54-58, 72-78): The Spanish midfielder becomes the 2nd CDM in the academy, although at 15 years old he still has much to develop, including his height which is quite low for a CDM as he stands at 5'3".
*Turned 16, grew to 5'10*
Frost S. Napoles - CM (Spain) (55-59, 70-74): Technically Gifted has been the term used to describe the 17 year old midfielder from Spain, but we haven't seen enough of him with the U17 to say what his future holds.
Joyce Barber - RM (Spain) (58-62, 71-75): By reading his name one might assume the player is from the United Kingdom, but in fact he is a Spaniard. At least, he was born in Spain. Barber is only 5'4" but he has proven to be a playmaker from the wing even at 15 years of age.
*Turned 16 grew to 5'11"
Julian Rubin - GK (United States) (58-62, 73-77): Julian becomes the first player from the United States to join the Osasuna youth academy, and if he develops well enough he could even become the first ever American player to wear Osasuna's colors. The 16 year old goalkeeper could make history, but first he must show his class in the youth levels.
*Luis Martinez - CM (Spain) (53-57, 87-93): I'm really glad he decided to settle in as a CM and not CB. Really looking forward to see how he grows in May. At only 15 years of age he still has much to grow as far as height though as he stands at 5'1".
*Mario Santana - ST (Mexico) (48-56, 80-94): Really excited to see future reports on this kid from Mexico. He's described as "Physically Strong" and you know how much I like to play with a target man. The downside is that he's only 5'3", but he's still 15 years old so I'm hoping he'll grow closer to the 6 foot range.
Roussillon Murnane - ST (Spain) (57-61, 71-75): The 5'9" 17-year old from Spain has shown the characteristics of a winger as he tends to drift wide from the center.

October Headlines
Osasuna Find New Top Scorer
While Guillermo and Palacios get used to playing together it has been Kenan Kodro who has risen to become not only the club's top scorer, but also one of the league's top scorer. Not to mention that he has accomplished this with the B-Team! The fans are divided into two groups, those who still want to see Guillermo with Palacios behind due to what they accomplished last season, and those that would prefer seeing Kodro up top with Guillermo behind him. If Kodro could get into the first team, there would be a real target man up front with a strong and agile Guillermo running in behind him. It would also give Kodro the opportunity to keep pushing for possibly the Golden Boot, however where would that leave the B-Team? Would the B side be able to adjust to having a speedy striker instead of a tall one? We have not received comments from Chavez and so far it appears there won't be any change to the lineups... Yet.
Ferreiro Demands B-Team Starting Spot
Ferreiro joined Osasuna last year on a pre contract agreement. He was a definite starter with the first team until Palacios moved up and took his place. He was then brought down to the B-Team where he also lost his place due to poor performances. Now he's demanding a starting spot back, but not with words. Instead, he's been making his claims through his recent performances in which he's put in 3 assists as a substitute for Manuel Onwu while Onwu has no assists and one goal. Ferreiro is a regular sub with the B-Team, and every time he comes on he brings speed to the table and also becomes a nightmare for the RB with quick dribbling. Onwu has been out of form since scoring against SK Rapid Wien in the Europa League, however he is currently the B-Team's current all-time (CM) top scorer with 20 Goals. Ferreiro is putting together his own arguments though, and may well take the starting spot away if he can show he is just as effective as when he comes on from the bench.
Union Berlin - European Glory
*Inspired by Simppu
The Iron Union were drawn into Group D of the Europa League along with Olympique Lyon from France, Athletic Bilbao from Spain, and Dundee United from Scotland. Quite a competitive group right? Well you'll never believe how Union have done so far. (You're gonna love this simp!) Union Berlin currently have.......... Zero points. Yep. Zero. Nothing. Nada. Wanna know the best part? They haven't even scored a goal. In three matches they've scored zero goals and received seven for a goal difference of -7. Go ahead Simppu, laugh it off :P
Conclusion
I certainly have a lot to think about with Kodro becoming the current top scorer. I am also considering bringing in a target man in January to partner with Guillermo. Nothing against Palacios, however I lack a dominant player in the air inside the box. Guillermo is strong enough to shield the ball really well but with a height of 5'11" winning aerial challenges with him is difficult. Palacios is even shorter at 5'7" so most of my crosses go to waste. I am thinking of either giving Kodro a chance or bringing in someone new. Palacios is fast, but according to his stats Guillermo is actually faster. There was a match where I brought on Kodro and put Guillermo behind him and right away you could tell Guillermo can be really effective there. I could possibly put Palacios at LM and bench Lopez, but Lopez has much better ball control/dribbling and his performances haven't justified a benching just yet. I will keep everything the same for the upcoming matches, but I will be keeping an eye on how the team plays to decide whether I need to make a change or not. In the meantime I am using the GTN to find a possible replacement for Lopez if he doesn't pick it up, and also a target man as a potential transfer.
I would like dedicate Roberto Torres' free kick goal against Sporting to Texasbum and Moose, as I put the tips you guys gave me into action when taking that free kick. Thank you!
That's it for October and I am now caught up on my updates. I can go back to playing career mode now (I've been playing Seasons lately so I could catch up on updating). What do you guys think? Should I be patient with Guillermo and Palacios given the great job they both did last season, promote Kodro and move Palacios to the B-Team, or bring in somebody new? I don't want to give away my transfer targets just yet, but I wouldn't be against seeing a new face up front. At the same time it would be difficult to bench Palacios and I'm not sure he has what it takes to play as a wide midfielder just yet. Let me know what you think and,
Thanks For Reading!
Haha, I told you Union suck but you didn't believe me! Who's laughing now :P
@Moose - Amazing game against Chelsea! You completely dominated them with your 18 shots. Kind of sucks to win thanks to two penalties but in this case you completely deserved the three points. The match against Norwich was a nice one, as well. Barber, Cox and Pratley from the academy are looking like gems in the academy.-Simppu12-

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
I've got something I need to say guys and I'm only saying this because Indi made a big statement with what he posted(PS. I feel bad for you indi and good riddance to your ex.) Simp and Keano already know about this cause I told them on Skype. I have Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer and my life has been a living hell since my Diagnosis. I've been Depressed to no end and my grades in school have fallen like crazy. Because of this I will be stepping away from updating until my life straightens out and I can function without being depressed to no end. I'll still be on here and will reply about your guy's updates but I won't post any myself. It was fun while it lasted guys and When I come back i'll be coming back in full force.
Man, it's been a long time since I got on here. How's everybody doing? I hope your lives have been fantastic, because mine has been turned upside down in the space of five days. At the risk of furthering the idea among some of you that my life is one big soap opera, I've got some news to share with everyone. Turns out that the baby my wife recently gave birth to isn't my daughter. Her biological father is a man my wife dated in college and slept with when I was in Germany last year.
We found out because my wife is a dormant carrier for a rare but crippling genetic autoimmune disease, so I had to have my DNA tested to check if I also had the gene. A positive result would mean that any child we had together was at risk of developing it by the age of 10. Except my DNA didn't match the baby's, which is when the confessions came tumbling out.
I've already filed for divorce. She'll have full custody of the child and receive a one-time settlement plus the apartment, and I'll be free of any child support obligations and alimony payments. The hearing is set for April 10, and I don't expect it to go beyond that. Some of you may think it's the wrong move or that I'm less of a man for it, but I have no interest in raising another man's child. At least not when it's been conceived under such deceptive circumstances.
I have to admit that the first 24 hours were painful as f*ck. I broke down every time I heard the baby cry, reminding me that she wasn't mine and that my wife destroyed the trust I put in her. I spent the next two days in a hotel before coming back to pack my things, at which point I'd managed to desensitise myself from everything that was going on -- the baby's laugh, the woman's tears and apologies, my in-laws trying to convince me not to divorce their daughter. Getting my stuff together made me realise just how little I own by way of material possessions. The bulk of my belongings are investment/academic paperwork, football and cricket memorabilia, and electronics. Including my clothes, it took just two giant boxes to hold everything that was mine and mine alone. But that made it easier to get out soon and make the decisions that have started the next chapter of my life.
I've quit my job and taken the offer I had in Moscow. The paperwork for my Russian work visa is being processed, and I should be there by the end of April. I've learned from my mistakes and won't be getting into any relationships for a while, and marriage is certainly off the cards for me for good. Sounds materialistic, but having a f*ckload of money at times like this makes life so much more bearable. Life may have been terrible for the past few days, but I'll soon be banging hot Russian babes and sipping the best vodka in the world. It could be worse, right?Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Holy, what is going on in these forums, I was gonna read about everybodys posts and stuff and then I read Indis story and sportsfreaks and I am totally shocked.
But, I am a man of my word, so, from page 1027:
@Tex - You had a bunch of ties in January, what the hell. Sad to see you drop out from CDR, yet Valencia is a tough team to play. However, the teams you faced were really tough, so don't worry to badly. Also, good signings in January! I can imagine that 6-3 game against Real was pretty fun!
And now I saw your March post, *** **** it, how do you have that much time, lol. Is there a different Vidal or is it Arturo in Sevilla? I like it that you got revenge against Valencia :P
@Keano - Big Zaragoza bossing in February. Kinda confused that you tied against a team bottom in the league, but that happens to me all the time lol.
@Cabee - How the hell do you start Premier League that well, my god. I honestly think they should make a new difficulty level for you, or you should play with your legs, yeah. That sounds alright.
Saw your October post, and that looks a bit more realistic, but I love it still. Keep doing your thing and you will be in the title chase very soon. What is the objective this season?
@Sportsfreak - Right, to put FIFA on the side for a moment (even though if it makes you happier, then you are doing well with Liverpool), but I will tell you this much: Kick cancer right in the balls! I have faith in you, lad, but I'm just a random guy over the internet. Focus on the positive, even if it looks bad (Indis words, and I am trying to do the same with this broken leg thing, but that is minor next to your condition). Stay strong.
@BiloxiSmitty - First game was rather difficult against Czech, yet second game was a great way to show yourself! Germany is a fun squad to play with, good luck!
@JAGGER - If you exclude the Wigan game, the whole month looks quite good. It does seem that Gray and Thomas are your usual suspects. Good to see Luongo fitting in, I actually like him a lot.
@Jamiec - You beat everybody, including Real! Well done! I love it that they have 0 points in the group, haha. Good luck, I hope you can get past City.
@Chicobass - So, two months, and the only team you lose to is Valencia? Well done! I honestly think you should just be patient with your strike force, it usually pans out well in most chances. If it doesn't, you got time to make a change in January.
@Simppu - HERTHA GONE WILD. HOLD BIG SIMP AND HERTHA, MOVE OUT THE WAY, THE TRAIN IS COMING. It seems you are having fun lad, keep it up!
@Indi - Uhh, I don't know where to start man. That sounds rough, like a movie. I like that you are looking at some of the bright sides though. A smart lad told me to keep your head up, even if things look bad, you should try that. :P
Oh, and Finnish women are ...yeah, I suggest you take a quick trip to Estonia. :P
So, what about STUTTGART BOYS? WHERE ARE THE STUTTGART UPDATES?? RIOT!!?!??!
Well, here is some rather funny news.
I got fired. First game of the month was against Juve, and I lost it 3-0. After that, I got the message that my contract has been terminated.
Smart man that I am now, I loaded up another save and tried to win the game, which I did. A 1-0 victory, with Drmic scoring, as always. I get to the menu, sim a few days, boom, fired again.
So, I knew it was bull, so I tried playing for a tie. We got a 2-2 tie (I scored 2 in the second half, no idea how), and the game decided to fire me again.
I am begging to think that FIFA actually hates me, yet I love posting here and playing Career Mode. So, as always, sigh.... I will make a new one, this is getting rather sad.
I was gonna have a huge IRL rant aswell, yet now that I've read everybodys posts, I feel like my problems are smaller. But I wish you all the best lads, I'm gonna head off to eat and then play FIFA.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Aleix Vidal is the one on Sevilla. He's fast as hell. I love the space from January-March since for leagues outside of the premier league mostly there aren't many matches in January/February/March, depending on your cup performances, so you can power through those months quicker than others. And then you get to the grind that is April/May and it feels like forever. Although, the fiancé is going out of town starting Wednesday all the way through the weekend. So I can safely say that FIFA shall be played.
Fair play, I think I am just jelous of you. :PComment

I haven't been to Estonia in five years and I didn't look at the women then but I'm sure they are better than their Finnish counterparts. It has to be the Eastern European blood. You know what, I'm jumping on the next ship and I'm coming to Tallinn. Then I'll find a beautiful lady, meet you and buy lots and lots of alcohol because that's what everyone from Finland does in Estonia. Buys alcohol. Seriously, you guys should see them.
And then to Stuttgart. Cruz, what the hell man? How is it even possible that you get fired in something like three careers? Unbelievable luck! The Stuttgart bosses are di*ks for sacking you, though. I really wish you can make it to the third season in your next career.
Go ahead, tell us about your IRL rant. It might not be as big as the two terrible news but sharing is caring.
Since this thread is so negative at the moment I'll tell something positive. We got a beautiful suit for me on Saturday and today I got 20/20 from an English essay we had to do in school. Also, Bulgaria drew with Italy so that's something.-Simppu12-

Damn man. I must admit reading through this sh*t of a situation broke me. If I were with you right now I would put my right hand on your shoulder, and then hand you a beer with my left. I think I would have handled that situation the same as you did. I would have broken down at the mere thought of it all, and I think I would have filed for divorce as well. I wouldn't be able to stay with her after something like that. I know every time I would be alone with my thoughts I would be constantly tortured. So for the people that judged you for your decision back home, f*ck them. I don't know who they are but f*ck them man. B*tches. And I'm sorry but the in-laws have some f*cking nerve trying to convince you to stay with their daughter. F*ck that sh*t. Am I overreacting? F*ck that too.
However, I'm really happy you'll be going to Russia. It good to completely get away from all that crap and the best part, you have a f*ckload of money as you said. Dude, you're single, you have money, you have no interest in finding someone to settle down with, YOU'RE IN RUSSIA, you're gonna have the best damn time of your life man. Super stocked for your next chapter. I just hope you'll pop in here every now and then :') as Tex said, your very personally post speaks loads of the brotherhood we have in this community. I wish you the best, comrade.Comment

Simp and Keano already know about this cause I told them on Skype.
Hey, listen man... You kick that cancer in the a** you hear me? You take it to the ground and you beat the sh*t out of it. Don't hold anything back. You keep pounding until you know for sure it's not gonna get back up. Until you can't even feel your knuckles anymore. Remember, that cancer is on YOUR turf. This is YOUR stadium. This is YOUR body. You have the home field advantage Sportsfreak. USE IT.
Looking forward to hearing more from you and having you around for a long, long time.Comment
