I'll just act like I didn't see the part where you talked about Union. I'm sure they bribed and threatened UEFA to let them play in the Europa League. Hertha are still the better team.

Also, like you said Cruzerr was the first person to start using screen shots. He used them in his Bilbao career and in his Everton one (I think the Everton one is older but I'm not sure).

Agreed, they are not world class and certainly not by your standards :P I know I said I was going for a world class centre back to replace Flaño but when I made it to the transfer window I completely pu***** out. I couldn't do it man! It's hard to let go of a player who's been with the club since 2004 you know. As for my policy, thank you. I'm trying to do the same I did with Wimbledon where I only used players from the UK but here I want to limit myself to only players from Spain. It does get difficult during the transfer window though because I don't like signing players from my direct rivals at the top of the table. I focus on only signing players from teams either from lower mid table or from Liga Adelante or Spanish players in other leagues. I also don't like signing players that somebody on here has already signed in their career so I keep that in mind as well.

Union are clearly the better side. They're in Europe Simppu! You're gonna have to accept that. In fact, I think I'm going to start adding a Union section to my updates as they fight through Europe. That way you'll always be reminded that Union are in Europe, and Hertha is not. :P :P :P

Keano: In your two previous updates I noticed Ruiz de Gallareta (spelling?) frequently involved in your scoring plays. I wanted to sign him last season but since I had already signed player from Bilbao I decided against it. Who seems to be doing really good for you though are you planning on bringing him back after his loan expires? I really liked your signings this window particularly Bigas :P your other pre-contract signings were great though. I liked Angel. He's a player to watch out for when I face Eibar so looking forward to seeing how he does for you. I'm intrigued by how well Whalley has played for you. He has low overall and he's rated lower than your other goalkeeper however he seems to have complete ownership of the starting spot.
As for the Osasuna match, you totally faced the B-Team. Santamaria? Echaide? Pshhh. Lol jk good job man. I really wish I could get you back but you finished last and just got relegated in my career (tsssss buuuuuurn!) Sucks to see you knocked out of the Copa. I know how difficult it can be to get one past Ochoa. I don't really like him in real life but I have to admit he is a good shot stopper.

Simppu: As usual, incredible signings! I liked your "buy local" policy this window too. Way to support the local economy :P I liked the Drmic purchase but there's no way he can compete with Kalou right now. Kalou continues to be unstoppable! He's the one you took a photo with right? Congratulations on qualifying to the Europa! I'm positive you'll be able to manage with the group you've drawn. I think the only team that stands out for me is Sociedad.

Tex: Great month with the only defeat being meaningless. Can't believe how easily you disposed of Levante. For some reason they are extremely difficult for me to face. Something about their 4-4-2 kills me every time. And what a win against Villarreal! We've all had problems with the yellow submarine, but you somehow managed to hold that 1-0! Which brings me to my next subject, German Lux. At 32 (or 33 in your career?) he's still got it! I've liked him since he was at River Plate so it's great to see him keeping those clean sheets and winning MOTM. Also, I read that Dominguez picked up a long term injury and I was really bummed about it (hehe) but it seems you've been able to cope just fine and you've found a way to fill in the gap he left!

He has been doing really well these past few months alright. I'll definitely try to get him back next season although it'll probably be on a loan deal as I doubt I will get him cheap. Glad you liked the signings! Bigas just happened to be available and the kind of CB I like so I thought why not? I found him through the GTN and didn't purposely set out to get him after you did! I'm looking forward to Ángel coming in too. Again as I doubt I'll be able to get Borja permanently. He looks similar to him so there shouldn't be much difference in play style and not much getting used to a new striker. Whalley is really good for me. His reactions are great and he was playing better than Alcolea so that's why he has the starting spot. Mind you though, Alcolea has been playing fairly well with the B Team so his spot isn't guaranteed. That's a good problem to have though I guess, having 2 good keepers. As for Santamaría staring in goals, Riesgo was sold to Crystal Palace in the window just gone! Also we were relegated so you wouldn't be hammered again by us! Málaga have a good amount of quality so I wasn't too disappointed at getting knocked out. Now don't get me wrong, I would have loved a good cup run but it did space out my fixtures so that I usually have a weeks rest in between games which always helps a lot.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Simp I really like the signings! A lot of young players so you are building for the future of the club but also German football seeing at there was quite a few Germans. Unbeaten start to the league too and I see that Kalou is still banging in the goals for you whenever he plays. Good to see Drmic getting some goals when he gets the chance also! You got a nice Europa League group that you cane easily get out of. 2nd at worst.

Moose Got in a video there today! That Stoke game is just won of those where you dominate but cannot score whatever you do. Then they score on one of their few attacks. To make it worse it was in the last minute. The City game got off to a great start with Valencia (or was it Sakho?) scoring early but then Suárez showed his class and quality against you again with another brace. Tough luck but also well done on getting that far to Wembley. And as you said you can focus on your push to stay in the top 4 and secure Champions League qualification. Which would be an amazing achievement in what is your 2nd or 3rd season?

              Deportivo La Coruña
              FIFA 15 - Season 1

              Blanquiazules’

              January 2015

              RC Deportivo 3 - Athletic Bilbao 3
              DEP - Perez 30', Cuenca 45', Postiga 60'
              BIL - De Marcos 17', Susaeta 45', Gomez 62'
              MOTM: Cuenca

Beñat found De Marcos in the box and he read the defense and placed the ball well inside the near post for the opener. Perez got the ball on the counter and used a step over to get by the last defender and go through on the left side of the box and hit a hard shot into the top right corner. Fariña dribbled down the left wing and sent a cross into the box that went over the defenders and dropped to Cuenca on the far post for a strong first time finish. After a poor punch by Lux, the ball was quickly hit back ahead to Susaeta who was just barely kept onside for the quick finish. Cuenca sent a corner into the box and picked out Postiga who rose above the defense and headed the ball into the top right corner for the lead once again. Gomez answered almost immediately with a well placed header off of a Susaeta cross to complete the scoring for the match.

Copa Del Rey Round of 16 Leg 1
              Valencia CF 3 - RC Deportivo 1
              VAL - Fernandinho 37', Feghouli 72', 79'
              DEP - Costa 29'
              MOTM: Fabricio

Perez sent a corner into the box and Costa was able to rise above his defender and head the ball into the top right corner. Fernandinho answered with a stunning strike from just outside the box using his left foot to curl it into the top left corner of the goal. Fernandinho played a ball through into the box and Feghouli sprinted past the defense to get there first and slot it past the keeper for the lead. Piatti then sent in a cross that went over the first target, but fell to Feghouli on the back post for a well hit volley into the back of the net.

Copa Del Rey Round of 16 Leg 2
              RC Deportivo 1 (2) - Valencia CF 0 (3)
              DEP - Perez 45'
              MOTM: Medunjanin

Perez showed some great skill beating two defenders to get into the box and then used a hesitation before sprinting past the last man and firing a strong shot past the keeper. Despite having a few more chances, Deportivo couldn't get the last goal needed to overcome the first leg deficit and Valencia are the ones advancing.

              RC Deportivo 3 - FC Barcelona 3
              DEP - Medunjanin 58', 69', Dominguez 89'
              FCB - Rakitic 15', Busquets 23', Messi 81'
              MOTM: Medunjanin

Neymar played a great ball through to Rakitic on the right side of the goal and he was able to slot it past the keeper for the opener. Mascherano played a cross into the box after a short corner and found Busquets' head for a finish into the top right corner. Medunjanin pulled one back after Luisinho's shot was deflected to him and he fired a low shot to the bottom right corner. He then evened the match up with a fantastic free kick on the left side of the goal that curled around the wall and slipped just inside the left post. Messi put Barcelona back on top after his header from Rakitic's cross hit off the crossbar and he dove to head the loose ball into the goal. Medunjanin dribbled into the box and pulled the ball back to find Juan Dominguez at the top of the box for a perfect first time strike into the top right corner for the equalizer.

              RC Deportivo 0 - Granada CF 1
              GRA - Luisinho 31' (OG)
              MOTM: Roberto

Luisinho took the ball away from the attacker and his momentum forced him to take an extra touch back towards goal. Lux stepped up to clear the ball rather than let Luisinho collect it and his clearance hit off of Luisinho and bounced back into his own net for the deciding own goal.

              Levante UD 4 - RC Deportivo 4
              LEV - Diop 40', 90' Ivanschitz 75', Martins 90'
              DEP - Postiga 24', 58', 90', Costa 87'
              MOTM: Postiga

Costa sprinted past the defense down the left wing and sent a cross into the box finding Postiga for the header into the top right corner. Diop ran behind Juan Dominguez in the box to receive the ball and finish quickly past the keeper for the equalizer. Perez attacked the right side of the box and sent a cross in that was mishandled by the keeper and Postiga tapped home the loose ball. Diop drew a foul at the top left of the box and Ivanschitz stepped up to curl the free kick into the top left corner. Valeron found Costa on the left side of the box for a well placed finish to the bottom right corner of the goal. Martins found the equalizer after an embarrassing display of marking from Juanfran left him open on the back post to tap in a low cross. Postiga was able to put Deportivo back ahead using a skillful touch to get into the left side of the box and fire back across to the far post. In another embarrassing display of defense, Levante played a ball over the top for Diop to run onto and fire a shot that was kept out by Fabricio, but only for Diop to knock in the rebound for the equalizer.

Deportivo La Coruña Player of the Month

              Haris Medunjanin

Haris Medunjanin was big this month performing at a high level against the highest competition. He accounted for every goal in the Barcelona match for a hard fought draw where he scored 2 and assisted the other. His presence in the midfield was felt all month on both ends of the field.

              Manager Comments

Academy Update - A large amount of additions were made to the academy this month. 4 new players have all joined, with Rafael Ansaldi being the one player left over from previous months. All of the new additions are 16 years old, with the exception of one who is 15. Ricardo Sanchez will be a key player to watch develop as he could potentially be the best of the bunch.

Copa Del Rey - A poor performance in the first leg was too much to recover from. We came up 1 goal short in the end, and we fought hard for it in the last match, but couldn't get the one that mattered the most. It is a disappointment to go out like this, but we will use it as a learning experience that in a competition like this you cant under-perform and expect to still get by.

League Form - A rough month that resulted in no wins in league play, and 3 draws. Taking a point against Barcelona was still a good result though, but now they have moved ahead of us in the table while still having a game in hand. Still, we are in third, but most of the teams behind us also have a game or two in hand. I am hoping that we haven't played our best football all before the second half of the season, but our focus will be to turn it back around now.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Hey guys been reading the updates. I see you all have been busy with some football. I have not updated Dagenham in a while, but I will let you know the season has been steadily moving along. We are top of the table in BPL with a strong run of winning league matches, but it has come at a cost as we have also been bounced out of the FA Cup by Bristol City. We are now in February and the push for me is to get to World Cup. We are still battling in Euro league just got out of group stage and have rematch from last season with Sporting FP from Portugal again. Playing all Cup matches with reserve team.

That brings me to my dilemma, at the conclusion of the World Cup I have a yearning to get back in Serie A. I was at first leaning to go back to Palermo, but now I am looking Juventus or Roma. I know red4ever is doing Juventus so if he has a problem with me joining them that is fine. But I also would like to know what you guys think. Before I start I have to find some more settings because I am winning too many matches now.

I am glad to see jamiec47 back.

                  FIFA 15 | PS3 | Season 1 | 2014-15

                  Los Blanquillos

                  February 2015

                  Feb 7th
                  Liga Adelante
                  Match 26
                  Real Zaragoza 2-1 Mallorca

                  João 30'
                  Borja 36' (Gómez)
                  Porcar 62' (Ruiz de Galarreta)

                  MotM: Óscar Whalley

João was allowed to walk right through our defence to score the opener and just minutes later Óscar made a great save to prevent us going two down. We hit back soon after from a Borja header off a long range free kick swung in by Gómez from the right wing. Nothing really happened until Ruiz de Galarreta played a beautiful ball from the middle of the park over the top to find Porcar's, also perfect, run in behind the Mallorca defence. All he had to do was control it with one touch and poke it under Miño with the second. Borja missed a chance to go two ahead not too long after. Mallorca turned up the pressure searching for the equalizer with chances from João and Coeff before Mayer narrowly missed a pull back across the 6 yard box from Arana. He somehow put it wide.

                  Mayer misses!

                  Feb 14th
                  Liga Adelante
                  Match 27
                  CD Mirandés 1-1 Real Zaragoza

                  Suárez 42' (Romero)
                  Llorente 50' SENT OFF
                  Provencio 66'

                  MotM: Jaime Romero

A moment of madness cost us the 3 points today. If we had 11 on the pitch we would have won. We should have won anyway but so an extremely lucky equalizer. Diego Suárez put us ahead at the break scoring 3 minutes before time. Romero dispossessed the CB and passed to Suárez who smashed it home first time. Vera struck the post early in the second half before Llorente received his marching orders after mistiming a sliding tackle on Vera and being the last man. Provencio scored the equalizer 16 minutes later after. A clearing header fell to him inside the box and Tierno won the ball off him. But just as he went to clear it, Vera ran into him. Provencio managed to then put the ball past Alcolea in a freak accident. Vallejo then struck the crossbar with a header off a Hadzic corner.

                  Suárez' bullet.

                  Feb 21st
                  Liga Adelante
                  Match 28
                  Real Zaragoza 3-1 CD Lugo

                  Fernández 11'
                  Pérez 38' (Suárez)
                  Hadzic 45' (Romero)
                  Hadzic 52' (Pen)

                  MotM: Eldin Hadzic

The month ended on a high with a 3-1 home win against Lugo. Hadzic finally signed a new contract and put in a MOTM performance grabbing 2 goals. Fernández however took away another clean sheet early on after Rico's pass out of defence was cut out and we were then outnumbered leading to the goal. 2 almost identical goals in 7 minutes had us ahead at the break. The first came from Pérez making a delayed run into the 6 yard box to tap in a low ball drilled in from the right by Suárez. The second was from in form Hadzic right on halftime. This time it came from the left with Romero drilling it across through 3 Lugo players where Hadzic had the control to place it home. Tarsi came on in place of Basha who picked up a sprained ankle at halftime. It was him who won the penalty off David De Coz. Tarsi just got his foot between the ball and De Coz as he slid in and took him out. Hadzic stepped up and make no mistake placing it over the keeper who had dived the right way. A good way to end the month regaining top spot in the process.

                  Injury
Vullnet Basha - Sprained Ankle, 3 weeks.

Real Zaragoza Player of the Month

Eldin Hadzic - LM, 66 (+3) Ovr, 22, Bosnia Herzegovina

The Bosnian was a threat in all the games he played this month. He played really well on the right wing and that showed in the last game of the month against Lugo where he bagged a brace and earned MOTM. At only 22 he has a bright future on the flank of the team. Other honourable mentions include, Jaime Romero (67 (+1) Ovr, 24, Spain) on the left wing who got 2 assists in 2 games and also striker Diego Suárez (63 (+2) Ovr, 20, Spain) who chipped in with a goal and an assist in 2 games. He is proving why Munir (68 (+2) Ovr, 19, Spain) is being kept out the team and may even challenge for the starting spot next season if things go well and he keeps progressing like he has been.

                  Liga Adelante Table
                  1. Real Zaragoza - 59 Points*
                  2. CD Tenerife - 58 Points*
                  3. CA Osasuna - 58 Points

Jose Baquero - (Spain) RW, 49-55 Ovr, 79-89 Pot, 16 (Attacker)
                  - The first youngster to join the Academy is Spanish attacker Jose Baquero. He has shown good speed along with ball control and finishing in his initial report. He has settled in the RW slot and the 5'11" attacker has it seems enough pace to play there and also a finishing touch. Bright things are expected.

Gabriel Rodriguez - (Spain) Mid/Def, 41-51 Ovr, 68-88 Pot, 15 (Unknown) - The 5'8" 15 year old is the second addition to the Zaragoza Academy. He looks like he will be either a defender or a defensive midfielder seeing as his best stats are his defensive one. Particularly his standing tackle and strength.

I was hoping for 3 wins out of 3 this month but hey, I'll take the 7 points. The 2 wingers with the B Team, Hadzic and Romero really impressed me in their 2 games this month and that makes me relax knowing that I've 4 quality wingers in the squad. In March I want to get 5 wins out of 5 but I'd be happy with a draw in either the Alcorcón or Recreativo game.

Hope you enjoyed this month! Thanks for reading!

Your offence was great but your defence was shocking! 3-3's and 4-4's all over the place! Your only win was against Valencia but by then it didn't matter seeing as the damage had already been done in the first leg. Real seem to be running away with the league and Barca look like they are starting to stretch out a gap on you. Maybe 3rd is the best you can do now seeing as you have been dragged back into that 3rd place dogfight. This will really test your squad!

                      Exeter City 1 – Crystal Palace 0

Saiz Alonso bursts through the defence to get onto a lovely floated ball over the top by Jason Banton. Saiz Alonso allows it to bounce before hitting it. The keeper makes a great diving save but all he does is push the ball out to Reise Allassani who taps it across the line for Exeter’s winner.

After fifty minutes of boring football, Swansea attack on the break. Jonjo Shelvey sprints into the box and slots the ball into the back post for Ryan Honeyman who taps the ball into the back of the net.

                      EXE – Allassani (88’)
Exeter City press high up the pitch for the equaliser and Reise Allassani saves them again! Neil Taylor is dispossessed by Jason Banton down the right wing. He cuts the ball back to Appiah in the box who takes a touch before back-heeling the ball through Kyle Bartley’s legs and to Allassani who pokes the ball past Fabiański.

Capital One Cup Match Round 3:

                      Fulham 2 – Exeter City 4

                      EXE – Grigg (9’)
Tim Payne drifts in from the right to slot the ball through the defence and into the run of the debutant, Will Grigg, who sprints towards the keeper. He nudges the ball to the right before curling the ball around the keeper and into the right corner.

                      FUL –McCormack (21’)
Rryan Ruíz gives the ball to the unmarked Alexander Kačaniklić who shoots but the effort is saved by Glen Mabil. The rebound falls straight to Ross McCormack who easily puts the ball into the empty corner of the goal.

                      EXE – Grigg (26’)
Ryan Inniss intercepts the ball in defence and gives the ball to Will Grigg on the half-way line. He turns and sprints forward, beating a defender for pace. No one can keep up with him so the keeper is forced to come off his line his line and try to take the ball for himself. Grigg opens up his body to place the ball with his weaker foot into the bottom left corner.

                      FUL – McCormack (45’)
Emerson Hyndman floats the ball over the defence for Ross McCormack who manages to climb onto Ruano and head the ball into the top left corner.

                      EXE – Appiah (79’)
Reise Allassani is taken off for Appiah who goes on the left. He receives the ball on the half-way line from Grigg and bombs down the left wing. He has enough speed to get away from the defenders and drift into the middle where he chips the ball over the sliding body of Brad Guzan and into the back of the net.

                      EXE –Payne (82’)
Fulham get a free-kick on the right wing after a lazy challenge by Tamás. The ball is whipped into the middle but a giant headed clearance by Ryan Inniss gives the ball to Tim Payne. He beats a defender for pace and crosses the half-way line. He then continues down the right wing before doing some step-overs and cutting into the middle which fools another defender and suddenly Payne is through on goal. He gets into the box before slipping the ball through the keeper’s legs and across the line. Exeter City will be advancing into the next round of the Capital One Cup!

                      EXE – Sercombe (43’)
A corner is whipped in from the left by Jason Banton and Liam Sercombe makes a great run to the penalty spot to nod the ball into the corner.

                      EXE – Appiah (79’)
Appiah breaks free and skips past a challenge. He gives the ball to Saiz Alonso who holds the ball up before dinking the ball over the defence and onto the continued run of Appiah who volleys it past the keeper and to put Exeter in the lead.

                      Press Conference:

Q: Well done for staying third in the league table after two months. Do you feel that you can keep this up?

A: Because it’s the Premier League something is bound to go wrong. This is because the teams in this league capitalise on whatever mistake you make. Despite this, I do want to keep this form up for as long as possible but we also have to accept that this won’t be where we will be at the end of the season.

Q: Do you think that your new signings are playing well at the moment?

A: Yes I do. You recently saw the debuts ofYoëll van Nieff, Maxime Blanc and Will Grigg and they all performed well and with a lot of promise for their future at the club. Not to mention all of my other signings that have been pulling their weight for these first two months.

                      Manager’s Thoughts:

I’m very happy with where we are at the moment! Who wouldn’t be happy with third and especially because we are a newly promoted team! We obviously don’t have much of a safety net to fall on though. We could potentially fall all the way to seventh or eighth with one badly timed loss. As I said in the press conference, it would be very naive of me to say that we could hold that spot until the end of the season. We’re inexperienced in the top flights and we are a newly promoted team in one of the toughest leagues in the world so a low mid-table finish is a little more realistic.

The new signings have made a great impression for us in the Premier League and Jason Banton in particular has contributed to many of our goals since coming to the club. Will Grigg was particularly impressive on his debut in the Fulham game where he could have easily got a hat-trick. Players that I’d like to see more from are Yoëll van Nieff who hasn’t had much of an opportunity to shine and I want to change that and also Alan Morgunov who has been a little slow and sluggish since coming to the club. I understand that it does take time for a player to get used to their new club so I am willing to be patient with him.

                      October’s Games:

                      Manchester City (A)

3 very tight games in the league. 7 points from them is great and your reward is 3rd spot on the table which after just getting promoted is a great achievement! Allassani really performed in those first 2 games and Grigg had a great debut against Fulham. Appiah also scored in the last 2 games of the month adding to his tally at the top of the goal scoring charts! Looks like a tough month ahead however with the 2 Manchester clubs in a row then Spurs to finish the month. Newcastle are no easy team to beat either and Norwich could be tricky in the cup. Good luck!

Thanks! Allassani has really come into his own since coming into the Premier League and he saved the team against his former club, Crystal Palace and also the Swansea game. Appiah looks and feels as good as always when he's out on the pitch too.

My main problem is rotating Appiah, Grigg, Feudjou and Konate for the lone striker position without anyone becoming unhappy. Another area that has a lot of competition is the two central midfielder spots. I've got to try and rotate Sercombe and Saiz Alonso with Reece Brown, van Nieff, Payne, Bauer and Maxime Blanc. Not to mention the players that i have on loan! But competition for places is healthy and I'm looking forward to experimenting with all the various combinations that I could put out on the pitch.

I'm also very tempted to play Ryan Inniss in the striker poistion. He's tall, strong, has good jumping stats and is a great header of the ball so you might see Inniss scoring more often in the coming months.

Are you lacking in any other areas? If you stick with that formation maybe try and trim a couple of players and strengthen in other areas of the pitch? Just a thought.

I've been planning to sell someone in order to get a new full/wing-back because my only sub in those areas is Anthony Arce Jr. who's my youth squad player so he has like 50 sprint speed. It's just difficult to decide who I should sell...
