Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

    December 2017 - Season 4
    FIFA 15 (PS4)

    CA Osasuna (B-Team) 2 - 0 Almeria
OSA: Davila PEN 12' Ferreiro 72'
ALM: Edgar RED CARD 5' Took RED CARD 69'
Due to the Copa Del Rey fixture that was played two days ago, Chavez made a couple changes to the B-Team which included reserve players Oier (LB), Nono (RDM), and Ferreiro (RM) to make an appearance for Quinti, Olavide, and Luque respectively. David Ferreiro, the current hero of Osasuna after scoring the winner against Napoli, was having an amazing match on the right wing with his speed and quick dribbling. Just five minutes into the match, Almeria's LM Edgar received a direct card after he dropped to help mark Ferreiro. Ferreiro easily disposed of him with cheeky dribbling, and as Edgar tried to make a slide tackle to redeem himself Ferreiro quickly shielded the ball which forced a nasty foul. The referee did not hesitate and showed a direct red card while the Almeria players argued that Ferreiro exaggerated the fall. Exaggerated or not, the foul exists.

Almeria did not learn from this and continued to make risky tackles. Seven minutes after the red card the centre back C. Took caused a penalty by sliding in from behind to take down Davila after the Mexican forward had dribbled past him. Took would receive a yellow, and Davila easily converted the penalty with his inside foot.

Despite being a man down, Almeria were holding Osasuna well and the Basques' fatigued squad produced little in attack. Nono was surprisingly having a great match at RDM, pushing forward when space was available and putting in dangerous long shots that would barely miss the net. In the 69th minute Nono would push forward again, and C. Took would force a foul with another illegal slide tackle as Nono was dribbling past him. The referee showed Took his second yellow, and was sent off. David Ferreiro stepped up to take the free kick since Ulises Davila was off the field, and he struck it wonderfully! He curved the ball around the wall and into the top corner! Impossible for the goalkeeper!

With two men down, Almeria focused on defending and the match produced very little after the second goal. Osasuna took the three points, but Almeria still deserves to be recognized. They may have received two goals, but neither goal came from open play.

    INJURY NEWS
Ulises Davila will be out for 9 days with a Bruised Shoulder. Will miss the vital match against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the final match day of the UCL Group Stage.

    Champions League - Group Stage
    CA Osasuna vs Bor. Mönchengladbach
Perhaps the most important match for Chavez this season. The chance to show that Osasuna deserve to be among Europe's elite, that they were not merely spectators in the competition. In order to do that though they will have to get a win tonight, no exceptions. A win would allow them to tie with Borussia with 10 points on the group table, and pass to the next round on goal difference. A draw or a defeat will do nothing for Osasuna, and they'll be eliminated from the Champions League. It is now or never. There is no tomorrow. The point of no re - you get the gist. Osasuna have hope though, as they'll have the influence of El Sadar on their side tonight, a stadium difficult for anybody to visit.
    Spoiler

    Real Madrid 1 - 1 CA Osasuna
    REA: Lewandowski 18'
    OSA: Torres PEN 22'
A difficult visit for Osasuna, Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. This was an important match for both teams though, with the winner of this match becoming the league leader instantly. Real Madrid were the first to make a run for the league leadership with Cristiano Ronaldo making a run down the wing, putting in a low cross into the box and then Roberto Lewandowski finalizing the play by tapping the ball into the open net. Ronaldo's low cross had caused chaos in Osasuna's box and by the time Lewandowski reached it everybody was out of position. Osasuna pushed for a quick reaction, and the opportunity to equalize was given to them by Real Madrid's Pepe. Guillermo had played Palacios through on goal and as Palacios sprinted to the ball Pepe slid in and took him down. The foul looks close. Pepe definitely makes contact with Palacios foot a fraction of a second before his toe touches the ball, but at the same time it's too close to call. There is also the argument that Palacios' run wasn't aligned with the ball making it appear that he looked for Pepe's slide tackle. The referee could've not called the penalty and not many people would think twice about it. Roberto Torres stepped up to take the penalty and the captain outwitted Casillas with his inside right foot.

Both teams looked for the win trying to get the league leadership, but neither were able to break the net again. Madrid were very aggressive in the field though with several hard, but legal, slide tackles taking place during the ninety minutes. It's a wonder nobody was injured. With the draw neither team were able to claim the league leadership as their own, and the top of the table remains tight with Barcelona, Valencia, Real Madrid, and Osasuna all fighting for the summit.

Copa Del Rey - Round of 32 (2nd Leg)
    UE Llagostera 1 (2) - (5) 2 CA Osasuna (B-Team
    LLA: Rico 7'
OSA: Davila PEN 45' Alonso 76'
This was the first match the B-Team came out with the 4-2-3-1 formation from the start, and surprisingly it didn't work out as well as when they've changed to this formation in the middle of matches. Llagostera, running the same formation, controlled possession and set the pace. Just seven minutes into the match a foul by Vinuesa Ramos was called at the edge of Osasuna's box and the Osasuna fans became tense. Rodriguez, an amazing goalkeeper during open play, tends to struggle with free kicks. Llagostera's Rico kept the reputation going by scoring a wonderful free kick that put Llagostera just one goal away from eliminating Osasuna. If the home side scored just one more time they would go ahead on away goals rule. They were close to doing it until their defender Benito Rey lost his head. Marcos Alonso had beat him on a one on one dribble and as Rey sprinted to catch up to him Alonso used his body strength to keep him away from the ball. Rey couldn't get past Alonso's body and he lost his lead, sliding in from behind and taking Alonso down. The referee called the penalty straightaway and Ulises Davila stepped up to take it. The goalkeeper read Davila well and dove the right way, but Davila's shot still went over him and into the net.

Osasuna's away goal now complicated things for Llagostera. The home side was still on top though as they refused to go down in front of their own fans. Chavez brought in David Ferreiro for Julian Luque in the second half, trying to create more damage down the wings, and it worked out perfectly with Ferreiro quickly becoming a headache for his markers. In the 76th minute he put in a dangerous cross into the box and Ulises Davila wasn't able to reach, but Marcos Alonso cut in from the left wing and rose to head the ball, striking it into the top left side of the net and virtually securing Osasuna's advancement.

Even though Llagostera were eliminated, they still received applauds from their fans as they truly gave a great match. They even controlled possession with 58%, and often times had Osasuna against the wall.

    CA Osasuna 3 - 0 Sevilla FC
OSA: Rabello OG 53' Guillermo 56' Lopez 79'
Sevilla had everything to take the lead in the first half as Osasuna struggled to keep them from taking shots on goal. Los Rojillos moved the ball around well but they would usually lose possession as soon as it reached Sevilla's box. Thanks to some incredible saves by Riesgo Osasuna didn't concede and they went into halftime with the 0-0 scoreline, although it was only a matter of time before Sevilla scored. The second half was a different story though with Osasuna getting their first real chance of scoring. Osasuna had their first corner kick in the 53rd minute, and that's when the goals finally arrived. Raul Albentosa had headed the corner towards goal but the ball bounced off the cross bar and back into play. Rabello positioned himself to clear it but before he could reach it the ball bounced off Beto's back, changed directions, hit Rabello's thigh and went into the net. Own goals are always terrible, but this one came right when Sevilla were on top.

Sevilla sought to get back into the match as soon as possible and tried to attack down the wing from kickoff... But Isma Lopez stole the ball! Lopez began to dribble up the left wing with Sevilla's defenders rushing to get back into position and he sent Guillermo a lobbed through pass. Guillermo was tightly marked but all it took was his first touch to get rid of his opponent and be left through on goal. As Guillermo stepped into the box Palacios became on option but he was still marked. Guillermo hesitated but in the end decided to take the shot himself. The wet ground caused him to slip as he took his shot, but he still hit the ball with enough power to beat Beto and extend the lead.

Two goals in three minutes were enough to seriously dampen Sevilla's mood, especially when they had been the better team, and now it was Osasuna who ran the show. The Basques passed the ball around freely and began to find open spaces in what was previously a solid defense. Guillermo was taken off not too long after the goal as he was seen limping on the field. The slip before his goal was causing some discomfort in his foot, and he was replaced by Kenan Kodro on the field. Osasuna wanted to take advantage of Kodro's aerial presence and began to cross the ball more often. Just before the 80th minute youth graduate Romeu crossed the ball into the box but his marker got a touch on the ball and forced the cross to go towards the edge of the box. Kodro got in position to head it towards goal, but noticing that he was too far out for a shot he decided to instead pass it to Isma Lopez with his first touch. Lopez was sprinting into the box from the left and didn't have time to control the pass, so he took his shot first time and beat the keeper with power, extending Osasuna's lead even more!

Sevilla had little motivation left and the last ten minutes went by without much action. A misleading scoreline though, making it appear Osasuna were dominant on the field when in reality Sevilla were the better side up until the 60th minute.

    INJURY NEWS
Guillermo will be out for 3 weeks with a Sprained Ankle suffered during the match against Sevilla. There is a two week rest before the end of November, so he will only miss out on one First Team match next month.

CA Osasuna Player of The Month

    RM - David Ferreiro (Spain) (68 OVR 29yrs) (B-Team)
Ferreiro came to Osasuna as a starter, but eventually fell off. He was demoted to the B-Team due to inconsistency and then demoted to the reserves. He's been playing well coming off the bench this season, but this month he really made a claim for a starting spot. As soon as he came on to the field you could tell the difference with his quick dribbling and fast feet. After the last B-Team match Chavez began to use Ferreiro with the B-Team during training, while Julian Luque was seen training with the reserves.

    December Headlines

    UEFA Champions League
Osasuna swam against the current, and in the end they were able to obtain a ticket to the knockout stage. They are really making an impact on this, their first ever Champions League in club history, but the tournament has just entered the most difficult stage. The knockout fixtures have been announced, and Osasuna will be facing one of England's top teams. The Spaniards have struggled against teams from England, being eliminated from the Europa League two years ago by Tottenham and losing to Manchester City this year in the group stage, so the fixture announcement didn't go down well with some of the fans. The team that Osasuna will be facing in the tournament's Round of 16 will be none other than the Premier League 2014/2015 Champions (IRL), Chelsea FC. Chelsea count on an extremely solid defense, and an even more dangerous attack. It will be interesting to see how Osasuna manage against Chelsea's defense when the Basques have had problems getting their attack going at times.

    Copa Del Rey
Osasuna's best Copa Del Rey showing under Chavez came in the manager's first season with the club. They reached the final for the second time in the club's history but they lost to Real Madrid. A heart breaking defeat for the Basque fans as they also witnessed their team lose the final to Real Betis in 2005. With Osasuna's recent success in European competitions, the fans are once again dreaming of a Copa Del Rey title and they feel this will be their year. Los Rojillos have advanced to the Round of 16, and their rivals will be FC Barcelona... B. That's right, Liga Adelante's FC Barcelona B and Osasuna will go head to head for a ticket to the Copa Del Rey Quarter Finals. There is also rumors that Chavez has an eye on one of Barcelona B's players and was planning on sending an offer as soon as the transfer window started, but the negotiations for the player have been put on hold as the staff want to see how the player does against them in the two legs. We do not know who the player is, but he will have an unofficial tryout with Osasuna against Osasuna in the upcoming Copa Del Rey fixture.

    Transfer Window
The January transfer window is right around the corner and like six months ago we're not expecting many changes in Osasuna. Los Rojillos are linked to only one player, whose identity has not yet been released, but we do know that he currently plays for FC Barcelona B in Liga Adelante. Osasuna's transfer list has been announced though, and there is a couple surprises on it.

    CB - Sergi Gomez (Spain) (74 OVR 25yrs) (+0)
Gomez has barely been at the club for six months and he is already on the transfer list. The former Barcelona youth graduate arrived from Celta Vigo on a free transfer but he's had a tough time at Osasuna failing to impress. He has been linked to Everton from the BPL, but it is believed Chavez would rather have him stay in Spain with another club.

    CDM - Nono (Spain) (67 OVR 24yrs) (+0)
When Nono first signed for the Basques there were high hopes for his future but, while he has remained consistent, he has failed to develop his game at all. The coaching staff are hoping that some fresh air will be enough to rescue his career.

*RM - Alex Silva Gavan (Spain) (64 OVR 18yrs) (+0)
The wide midfielder recently demanded to be promoted from the youth academy and his wish was granted, however he now finds himself on the loan list.

    *CDM - Eñaut Gabbiadini (Spain) (63 OVR 17yrs) (+1)
The recent youth graduate has only made one substitute appearance which is why he has been placed on the loan list. His agent and the coaching staff hope they can find a team that will offer him more game time for the last six months of the season.

    Conclusion
Going forward I will post less youth academy players since I feel I am posting too many. I think my academy is full already and I'm posting most of the players. Also most of the players don't even get updates anymore so I'm just posting the same thing over and over again. With the reader in mind, I'm going to post only players with potential of at least 80 and above to make my list shorter.

My personal highlight of this month is no doubt advancing to the Champions League knockout stage! I really thought that the game would make it impossible for me to advance as it was an uphill battle but in the end I was able to get the results I needed. Chelsea will be a difficult opponent though and I'm actually a bit worried going into the match (don't flatter yourself Indi). Another tournament I'm really pushing for is the Copa Del Rey. I've never won it, and ever since reaching the final in my first season I've never reached it again. Four seasons in and I've only won one cup. I don't like those numbers even though it was the Europa League. I'm confident going into the next round against Barcelona B, but I know that eventually I will run into either Barcelona or Real Madrid. I'm hoping it's in the final.

I used the 4-3-3 Attack for the first time with Osasuna in the match against Borussia Mönchengladbach and even though I wasn't really able to hold possession with it we were a lot more dangerous when we had the ball. I'm thinking about keeping that formation as my go-to when we're down on the scoreline or as my main formation in matches where a win is non-negotiable and it doesn't matter how you achieve it. For example the Champions League knockout fixture against Chelsea

I gotta get back to work so that's all for now!
    Thanks For Reading!

Good month in league play picking up points in all three games including those two clean sheets and comfortable margins. A point against Real is always a good result and now you are within touching distance of the top of the table. Great result in the Champions League against M'gladbach! Looks like you ran away with it in the second half. Great to see you still going in the Copa Del Rey too, hopefully you can win it this year! The formation change really seemed to help the team and let's see if it works against Chelsea. Good luck!

        SUPER BEES
        LEGENDARY
        PS4
        SEASON 2

        Match 1

        Brentford 0-0 Sunderland
We managed to get a point on our first ever Premier League game. Sunderland came close a few times through Fletcher and Defoe but they didn't threaten much. Gray forced an incredible reaction save by Pantilimon early on in the match.

        Europa League Qualifying Leg 1

        SC Braga 0-1 Brentford
        Pritchard 7
We take a 1 goal lead and an away goal to the second leg of this qualifying round. We opened the scoring early on through an excellent goal by Pritchard, bringing the ball down beautifully and knocking in on the half volley with the outside of his boot. There weren't too many chances in this game, Lee making a good save and Pardo striking the post to give us a scare, but not too much went on. Jota had a wonderful chance stopped after some unorthodox dribbling, doing a roulette before going to strike the ball. However, the ball was out of his reach and he kind of just did a lunge, but this fooled the defender and Jota was left one-on-one but a great save was made.

        Match 2

        Newcastle 4-3 Brentford
        Gray 16
        Tiote 30
        Sissoko 38
        Gutierrez 55
        Judge 72
        Grigg 84
        Williamson 89

What a game! Gray opened the scoring for us with a looping header after Elliot was only able to parry Atsu's blistering effort. Tiote equalised after a great passing move ripped open the defence and he smashed in. Lee should have done a lot better though and a better keeper would probably have saved it. Sissoko gave the Toon the lead when Gutierrez played it in and he hit it on the turn in off the post. 3-1 came when Gutierrez fired in from close range and he almost made it 4, heading over after Cisse hit the bar. Judge pulled one back after a wonderful run down the wing before cutting inside and curling into the far corner. Then the equaliser came, Grigg heading in from a corner. Unfortunately, it was followed by heart break, Cabella hitting the bar with a free kick and Williamson reached the ball before Lee to bundle home.

        Europa League Qualifying Leg 2

Brentford 0-0 SC Braga (1-0 agg)
This game was largely us defending. And when I say largely, I mean entirely. Braga really wanted to score but we stayed tight nit at the back and Tarkowski dominated the attackers. We go to the Group Stage of the tournament that will inevitably be our downfall.

        Match 3

        Brentford 2-1 West Ham
        Sanogo 19
        Valencia 26
        Sanogo 55

Sanogo, on his debut, opened the scoring with a thunderous striker into the top corner after running onto a ball through by Diagouraga. Marchesin was then forced into a fabulous one handed reaction save but minutes later he let a weak shot past him. Judge forced a save from Adrian and the game became dull for the rest of the half. Sanogo gave us the lead again with a header from a lofted ball in by Diagouraga, or as he well now be known, "Mini-Sanogo". Jota curled a shot over the bar and Mini-Sanogo fired wide after Sanogo had turned provider.

        Transfers IN:
        Alex Pritchard: £800,000 from Spurs
Christian Atsu: £4.8 million from Chelsea
Norberto Norsales: £4.3 million from Legia Warsaw
Eder Alvarez Balanta: £6 million from River Plate
Agustin Marchesin: £5 million from Santos Laguna
Yaya Sanogo: Short Term Loan from Arsenal
Jordan Ibe: Season Long Loan from Liverpool
Antonio Rudiger: £5.25 million from VfB Stuttgart

        Transfers OUT:
        Stuart Dallas: £500,000 to Bolton

        Thoughts

My first signing was Alex Pritchard, the youngster who tore up the Championship on loan to us last season. He slots right back in where he left, in the attacking midfield role. We then signed Ghanaian international and 2015 African Cup of Nation Player of the Tournament, Christian Atsu for £2 million less than his value. He will bring a bigger attacking threat as he can play in LW,RW or CAM and I may use him as a striker sometimes. My next signing was Venezuelan right back Norberto Norsales. He is a distinct upgrade over Odubajo and brings security down that right hand side. Eder Alvarez Balanta was next, the young centre back with the ability to command the area. Tall and strong, he is a commanding force and could be one of the most influential players this season. The next signing is the one I like the least, Agustin Marchesin. He's too short. He struggles on crosses. However, it is still early days so he may get better but as of now I'm looking at replacements for January. Then we made 2 loan signings, Jordan Ibe and Yaya Sanogo. Ibe comes in as he played well for us last year and Sanogo comes in as depth up front. He is only on a short term loan though as I'd like his wages back for January to be able to make a couple of Bosman signings. Finally, on deadline day, I brought in Antonio Rudiger. The young German could become one of the best centre-backs in the world and he has similar stats to Balanta, I see that defence commanding the area. Tarkowski isn't a bad replacement either.

          - We tried a new 4-1-4-1 formation.
          - Assombalonga had a header cleared off the line by Skrtel after Hyam's saved shot went up in the air.

          Veldwijk 83'
          de Jong 4' Soldado 47'

MotM: Siem de Jong (NEW, 7.4)

          - The whole side was rotated to give everyone a run out. We played a 4-2-3-1.
          - de Jong dribbled through our defence too easily, especially around van Aken, early on to slot past Tsolakoglou.
          - Sissoko then hit the post in the 43rd minute after van Aken was beaten again.
          - An early goal caught us out in the second half when former Spurs man, Soldado dribbled past, none other than, van Aken to make it two.
          - After this Laing was pushed back into CB and van Aken went into CDM. This worked much better and the team improved defensively.
          - We changed to a 4-4-2 Diamond Wide to get two strikers on.
          - Veldwijk scored after Osborn played it into him and he turned Janmaat before shooting in off the post.
          - We pushed for an equalizer but were unsuccessful.

          BPL: Match 6

          Grabban 40'
          Hyam 52'

          MotM: Henri Lansbury (NFO, 7.7)

          - Bennett hit the post early on for Norwich but then it was all us.
          - Grabban scored against the run of play giving Norwich the lead at halftime.
          - Lansbury's cross found Hyam who headed in the equalizer.
          - In search of the winner we went to a 4-4-2 Diamond Wide and Dicko came on.
          - He hit the post in the last minute to agonizingly mean that we only got a point.

          Player of the Month

          Henri Lansbury

The former Arsenal player and now our captain is September's player of the month. He was the centre of our midfield and everything good that went on this month for us. He finished the match against Norwich as MOTM and set up Luke Hyam for the equalizing goal. One of our most important players.

          BPL

          October Fixtures

          4/10 Manchester City (h)
10/10 Brazil (h) (World Cup Qualifier)
14/10 Argentina (h) (World Cup Qualifier)
          17/10 Manchester United (a)
          25/10 Stoke City (h)
          31/10 Tottenham (a)

Well it's not getting any easier next month with games against both Manchester giants and tough games against Spurs and Stoke. Optimistically we are aiming for 4/12 but realistically 2/12 would be a good month.

          Conclusion

Well, that was pretty painful. I'm deciding to stick with Legendary and the sliders I used in the Championship to make it a challenge, no shortcuts. There won't be many victories I don't think, so we will try to avoid relegation. Norwich was frustrating as we really could have gotten the win had it not been for the post stopping Dicko's shot. Liverpool was heartbreaking because they got the decisive goal so late. Getting knocked out the cup was bad too although the second team played that and really could have gone through if it wasn't for some poor defending.

Thanks for Reading and I hope you enjoyed it!

Not a bad start at all to life in the Prem. Four points from three games is a good return and you were unlucky not to get a point against Newcastle. Great job on getting through to the Europa League group stages and I look forward to seeing how you do. Some very nice signings and I'm glad you brought Pritchard back! Atsu is also a nice signing. Sanogo proved his worth with that brace against West Ham too. I'm sure the rest of the signings will be good. Which one of them is your favourite?

Right now, Balanta is my favourite and Marchesin is my least favourite. I kind of wish I signed Sanogo on a season long loan after that brace. I haven't used Rudiger yet so I can't comment.

                Valencia CF

                September 2014

                Valencia CF 3 - 0 RCD Espanyol
                Nolito 66', Feghouli 71', Negredo 80'

We failed to create any good chances in the first half, just like against Sevilla but in the second half we did well to score three. Nolito got us into the lead after the hour mark from a counter attack and only five minutes later Sofiane Feghouli doubled the lead with a curling shot after cutting in from the wing. Soon after that Alvaro Negredo finished the third goal of the evening with an easy tap in.

                Getafe 0 - 1 Valencia CF
                Negredo 90'

This game was a frustrating one. Getafe didn't look interested in attacking from the first whistle and the game was played almost entirely in their half. We tried everything: passing the ball around the box, crosses, long shots and so on but nothing was able to go in until the last minutes of the game. Sofiane Feghouli received the ball on the right wing and he crossed the ball into the box to Alvaro Negredo who jumped higher than his marker and headed the ball into the top right corner to get the winning goal.

                Valencia CF 3 - 1 Cordoba CF
                Parejo 38', 44' pen, Perez 74'
                Garcia 4'

We got off to a horrific beginning as Cordoba's Garcia headed a rebound into the net after Diego Alves' save. That goal was the first we conceded this season. We then started attacking more and it could be felt that a goal was coming. That happened in the 38th minute when our captain Dani Parejo got into the box and shot the ball right next to the bottom left post. Before the break Parejo got us into the lead from the penalty spot with a powerful penalty after Nolito was tackled inside the box. Half an hour later Nolito dribbled inside the box like Lionel Messi before passing the ball to Geoffrey Kondogbia who shifted it to Enzo Perez for an easy finish.

                Real Sociedad 0 - 5 Valencia CF
                Nolito 11', Feghouli 27', Perez 40', Negredo 44', Parejo 66' pen

What a performance! The game looked pretty even until the 10th minute. Starting from there we dominated Sociedad. First Nolito got us into the lead after getting into the box and shooting the ball into the bottom right corner and fifteen minutes later Feghouli doubled the lead by chipping the goal over Rulli from a counter attack. Soon Enzo Perez played a 1-2 pass with Sofiane Feghouli who backheeled it back the the Portuguese central midfielder who then just shot the ball past Rulli in goal. Four minutes later Alvaro Negredo got onto the scoresheet with a very well positioned shot from a counter attack. A few minutes after the hour mark Dani Parejo finished the final goal of the game from the penalty spot.

                Player of the Month

                Dani Parejo

The captain of the team picks the second Player of the Month award of the season after having a very good month in September. The captain, together with Enzo Perez, dictated the tempo of the game in Valencia's games and he got onto the scoresheet three times this month. Parejo also picked two assists.

                La Liga Table

                1. Valencia CF, 18 pts
                2. Athletic Bilbao, 15 pts
                3. Deportivo la Coruña, 12 pts
                4. Real Madrid, 12 pts
                5. Elche CF, 11 pts
                6. Villarreal CF, 10 pts
                -------------------------------------------
                18. Rayo Vallecano, 4 pts
                19. Levante UD, 2 pts
                20. Granada FC, 1 pt

                My Thoughts

We're leading the league by solid three points which is a big difference after just six games. I'm actually unhappy about being in first because 1) Valencia shouldn't be there and 2) I don't think it's interesting to you, the readers. That's why I'm hoping to drop some points against top teams but I won't do anything on purpose.

Then to our results. I'm positively surprised about how amazing we've been in some of the games. First we scored four against Malaga in August and now we scored a total of eleven goals against a throwing bag Cordoba, an okay Espanyol team and a good Real Sociedad team. Nolito has been very good so far and he's playing like a poor man's Ronaldo. Feghouli has also been doing well on the right. Negredo has been in very good form and our CM's, the two P's (Perez & Parejo) have also been great. Then we have Otamendi who has been just incredible in the centre of the pitch. He does something amazing at least once per game and he is the biggest reason why it took until our fifth game for us to concede. I really recommend signing him.

Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

Oh my, you actually did it! Congratulations on an amazing Champions League group stage finish, dude! When I saw that Mönchengladbach got into the lead I was sure that they would go through but then you turned it around in amazing fashion. You also had a good month in league play and you have a good chance of winning the title. Good luck against Chelsea! By the way, have I ever said how much I admire the things you do on your phone for these updates? Great job!

A poor month with only one point but you faced some good teams in Arsenal and Liverpool. The draw against Norwich must've hurt a lot but at least you aren't getting relegated for now. This season won't be easy but you shouldn't have problems finishing somewhere around 15th place.

Lots of signing there. Atsu looks very interesting and all the other young guys should improve the team a lot. Rüdiger is a quality defender and Balanta should be a good player. I hope that Marchesin improves his game soon. Your results weren't that good but at least you made it into the Europa League. How's your starting eleven looking?

To be honest I don't really have one. There is a constant rotation because of the Europa League that changes every time.

Aye it was a poor month and I was really banking on being able to beat Norwich since I wasn't hoping for much from the other games. Next month I'll have to beat Stoke and pick up a draw against one of the other three (Man United, City and Spurs) to keep the pressure off. I like the challenge though. It's a change from winning every game.

You're cruising with Valencia! Four very good wins especially the hammering of Sociedad! What difficulty are you on? If you can up it to the next level then maybe you might have the challenge you are looking for?

For those wondering what happened to my Wolves CM that I started: I've got exams coming up and I've been studying for them like crazy. I've had little time to play Fifa(Let alone make an update) and I am helping my dad move to his new house pretty soon. I'll probably come back to updating like normal around June 16-19. I haven't forgotten you guys, I've just been really busy as of late.

I'm playing on World Class. I've tried to make the step up to Legendary but I've never found it enjoyable with the AI wonder passing and with all of the bullsh*t goals they tend to score.

Shame to hear you're not liking Marchesin as I thought that was a great signing when I first read it. I doubt you've seen him much IRL but he's been amazing with Santos Laguna and they are currently in the Final. They just won the first leg last night 5-0 against Ronaldinho's Queretaro (their first ever pro final) so yeah it's pretty much all over now. He's one of the top goalkeepers in the Liga MX, and he was key in my very own Guadalajara's elimination in the Semis. I hope he can turn around for you, but if not then I'll still be happy to see you got rid of him since there is still a touch of hard feelings left from the semi finals haha

Looks like you ran away with it in the second half. Great to see you still going in the Copa Del Rey too, hopefully you can win it this year! The formation change really seemed to help the team and let's see if it works against Chelsea. Good luck!
Thanks! I think I will use the 4-3-3 Attack against Chelsea from the start. Mönchengladbach were completely on top of the 4-1-3-2 but as soon as I changed to the 4-3-3 it was the other way around. It looks vulnerable to counter attacks, which Chelsea will surely expose, but I'm hoping that since the 4-3-3 pushes a lot of men forward Chelsea will have a tough time getting out of their side. Can't compare Mönchengladbach to Chelsea, but I'm hoping I get similar results. I'm not sure I have enough faith in the 4-1-3-2 to use that against them.

I was really bummed when I received Mönchengladbach's goal right before halftime and Palacios' equalizer made me jump up from my bed. Guillermo's goal put my fist in the air, and when Lopez scored I knew it was over. Martinez's goal was more like a punishment to the Germans for forcing us into this situation. Good times, good times.

I think he's just too short and that's why his handling isn't great. It's a shame really, but you never know until you try.
