      I think the keeper catches automatically crosses or long balls but if you want to save shots you need to press square/x or circle/b, I think.

      Almost a perfect month with only one goal conceded! You're scoring a solid amount of goals which was HSV's biggest problem in real life. Bahebeck and Rabiot are interesting signings and they can grow into very big players. You're doing a great job so far. Maybe a top four run is on it's way?

      Great signings! Cornet and Bastien look like very good players and they've been doing a very good job for you! You have a very good replacement for Pujol in the team now. It's also good to see that you're joint first in the league! Hopefully you can beat the Corsica rivals next month.

      That is so unfortunate! You really should've beaten Crystal Palace and the way you lost the point against Arsenal sucks. Hopefully you can improve next month. It's interesting that every game finished 3-2.

      Nice signings, you got everything you needed and Arsenal need in real life. Selling Giroud to Spurs is an interesting decision but so far you haven't needed him.

      I'm looking forward to this! The squad is very solid but it's also quite old. It'll be interesting to see your changes in January. Also, Lazio have always seemed like a very interesting team for a career.

        No way, it's unbelievable how unlucky you are when it comes to career mode. Just keep going, everything will work out at the end! Don't give up. I feel terrible for you.

          The stupid program works that if your local system is newer version than the cloud, and it checks it, then it gives you the option to choose if you want the use the cloud data (which is older) or local. I made the mistake in pressing cloud, just like last time.

            Oh, that's probably put you off FIFA, career mode at least, for a while now I take it.

                Ever try a road to glory? Or you could build up former glories in different leagues before moving club to build another club and keep moving around.

                  September 2014

                  Sept 20, Imtech Arena
                  Bundesliga: Match 4

                  HSV 0-3 FCB
                  Müller 7'
                  Müller 57'
                  Müller 69'

                  Man of the match: Robert Lewandowski (7.7)

                  •Lassoga and van der Vaart both went off early with a sprained knee and a broken ankle.
                  •The Dutchman in his first game back from a previous injury.
                  •A hat trick from German international Thomas Müller gave Bayern a dominant win.

                  Pierre-Michel Lassoga and Rafael van der Vaart will both be out for 3 weeks and 3 months respectively. Pierre-Michel with a sprained knee and Rafael with a broken ankle. That is now his second injury already this season.

                  Sept 23, Borussia-Park
                  Bundesliga: Match 5

                  BMG 0-0 HSV

                  Man of the match: René Adler (9.1)

                  •The full team was rotated except for Adler who made 10 saves.
                  •It was an even game but there was a lack of clear cut opportunities.
                  •Our biggest chance came when Rudnevs raced through from the halfway line but ultimately shot wide.

                  Sept 27, Imtech Arena
                  Bundesliga: Match 6

                  HSV 1-0 FFM
                  Bahebeck 88'

                  Man of the match: René Adler (6.8)

                  •4-2-3-1 did little to penetrate in the first half.
                  •Switched to a 4-3-3 at halftime.
                  •Two substitutes combined within a minute of coming on. Skjelbred passed it to Bahebeck who rounded the defender and slotted under Trapp.
                  •Looked better with Skjelbred and Bahebeck on the field.

                  Player of the Month

                  René Adler

                  For the second month in a row our goalkeeper is our player of the month. He kept two clean sheets and did his utmost to keep Bayern and Muller out.

                  Standings
                  1. Borussia Dortmund 18
                  2. Bayern Munich 18
                  3. Hamburger SV 13
                  4. Hannover 96 12
                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                  5. Bayer Leverkusen 11
                  6. FC Schalke 04 10
                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                  16. Borussia M'gladbach 3
                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                  17. FC Augsburg 2
                  18. SC Paderborn 1
                  Thoughts
                  The 4-2-3-1 started to lose it's effectiveness this month. Bayern completely dominated us but that is to be expected. M'gladbach was frustrating, Rudnevs hasn't impressed me so far at all. He's played 5 times and hasn't scored or assisted. Whereas Bahebeck has made 3 appearances and scored once. And that was even off the bench. He will become second choice striker now and Rudnevs may be on his way out in January for a better quality striker. We were lucky against Frankfurt, Bahebeck saved us. The 4-3-3 we switched too got instantly better when Skjelbred and Bahebeck were subbed in. I'm going to try the 4-3-3 against Dortmund and Hoffenheim and see how it goes.
                  October Fixtures
                  4/10 Borussia Dortmund (a)
                  7/10 1899 Hoffenheim (h)
                  25/10 Hertha BSC (a)
                  28/10 1899 Hoffenheim (h) (Deutscher Pokal)
                  We go away to face the formidable yellow wall against league leaders Dortmund before hosting the first of our two games against Hoffenheim this month. A trip to the capital to play Simp's beloved Hertha is nice before our second game against Hoffenheim, this time in the Deutscher Pokal. 6 points from the league and progression in the cup is the aim.
                  Thanks for Reading!
                    Nice transfers! Baudry will hopefully be a rock at the back, Bastien solid in goal, Cornet banging them in up front, Sainte-Luce a menace on the wings and Gbamin bombing up from fullback. You got decent money for Tshibumbu too. No doubt helping you sign some of those players.
                    It was a great month! Moving through two rounds in the cup and getting level at the top of the league. It's amazing how Pujol manages to score in every game he plays! Cornet got a couple of goals too which is a good sign. Next month looks exciting and I'm looking forward to reading about it!
                    Very good money for Guardado and Barragan! I can't believe you got Torres for so cheap!!! Great bargain. Bernat is class at LB and grew extremely well for me at Swansea. You got Thiago for fairly cheap as well. Illra was expensive and at first glance you'd think that's money well spent and when I saw your team at the end of the post I thought, why isn't he in the team? I was like he must be injured or something. It sucks to see he isn't working out. Maybe he'll get better with time?
                    Wow, 3 games against Real to open the season. Congrats on the supercup! What a comeback in the 1st leg and a solid performance in the 2nd leg. Shame to lose the 3rd game but you have showed that you are able to beat them and compete with them so I wouldn't be too disappointed. Bit jittery against Getafe and Betis, but you managed to get the 3 points.
                      Poor result against Bayern but what else could you expect against them? I'm just surprised that Müller wasn't the MotM even though he got a hattrick. A draw against Borussia is a nice thing as they are a good team. Next month looks tough with games against BVB, a solid Hoffenheim side and an amazing Hertha team. You should start using Skjelbred more since he's getting the job done for you and I find him a good midfielder. Shame about the injuries, though.
                        Yeah, it was a great start, we're scoring and defending well. Unfortunately we struggled to score next month as you probably just saw but our defending is still good, thanks to Adler in goal. As long as we qualify for the Europa League I am happy, anything more is a bonus as far as I'm concerned.
                          Yup, I was surprised too, I think Lewa got 2 assists though. Considering where Borussia were in the table I was a bit disappointed at the draw. Next month will be tough alright, Hertha are the easiest I think, . I'm definitely going to use Skjelbred more now. Really good on the ball and good feet. Lassoga should be back after the Dortmund game I think. I hope van der Vaart doesn't decrease too much now he's out for 3 months. He'd already gone down to an 80 from 81 before this injury. I think I'm going to sign a pre-contract CAM in January as his replacement.
                            In a battle of 3rd place Lokomotiv Moskva versus 4th place Rubin Kazan at the Kazan Arena, Rubin came away with a dominating 4-0 win over the visitors. Rubin started off dangerously as Gökdeniz Karadeniz forced Lokomotiv goalkeeper Guilherme to make a save in the 7th minute, and Carlos Eduardo missed just wide in the 24th minute. Lokomotiv nearly got on the board in the 29th minute, but Dame N'Doye's chance hit the right post. Rubin was a little luckier in the 34th minute when a Marko Dević shot went off the left post and in for a 1-0 lead. Dević again scored in the 52nd minute on a shot from the top of the box to complete his brace. Then Dević got an assist as the Ukrainian striker found Blagoy Georgiev with a cross that the Bulgarian headed home in the 71st minute. Just before the whistle, substitute Vladimir Dyadyun made the game 4-0 as the Russian scored his first goal for Rubin since returning to the club from Dinamo Moskva. All in all, it was a great effort from manager Rinat Bilyaletdinov's men.
                            MotM: Dević
                            Hosting newly promoted side Torpedo Moskva, Rubin Kazan put on the performance of the season as they demolished the capital city club 8-1 behind an incredible 5 goals from striker Marko Dević. The first goal came in the 14th minute when Magomed Ozdoev sent in a through ball that Dević slotted home by Torpedo goalkeeper Yuriy Zhevnov. Dević then scored from the top of the box in the 25th minute and completed his hat trick before halftime after tapping in a Maxim Kanunnikov cross in the 29th minute. Left back Chris Mavinga scored his first goal of the season in the 57th minute when a Rubin free kick fell to him, and he blasted one by Zhevnov. Dević's fourth goal occurred in the 62nd minute when the Ukrainian footed down a Carlos Eduardo cross and struck for goal. An Ivan Franjic yellow card in the 64th minute allowed Dević to step up for a penalty, and the in-form man did not miss for goal number five. Dević then got an assist as he sent a cross into the box that Gökdeniz Karadeniz headed home. The 8th and final goal came from Ozdoev who headed in a Carlos Eduardo cross in the 75th minute. Dalibor Stevanović ruined Rubin goalkeeper Sergey Ryzhikov's clean sheet with a late 90th minute goal, but it was not nearly enough to save Torpedo the humiliation of a 7 goal defeat as Rubin had a clinical conversion rate of 8 goals on 9 shots.
                            After scoring 12 goals in their previous 2 matches, Rubin Kazan came into the Otkrytie Arena confident to face 1st place Spartak Moskva. However, despite Spartak eventually going down to 9 men, Rubin could not come away with victory and lost 2-1. Spartak got a quick goal in the 7th minute when
                            Rômulo sent a through ball into the box that Alberto Costa fired past Rubin goalkeeper Sergey Ryzhikov. Rubin would get a fast equalizer though as Blagoy Georgiev played Carlos Eduardo in with a great through ball that the Brazilian toe poked by Spartak goalkeeper Artem Rebrov in the 12th minute. However, Georgiev then took down Costa in the box in the 19th minute, and a penalty was awarded. Artem Dzyuba stepped up and slotted home the shot to send Spartak back ahead 2-1. Spartak would lose Costa to injury in the 24th minute, and Rubin began to take control. Maxim Kanunnikov came agonizingly close to tying the game in the 53rd minute, but his header hit the post. In the 57th minute, Spartak would go down to 10 men as Roman Shirokov was shown his second yellow card. Then in the 87th minute, Spartak again got a red card as Salvatore Bocchetti took down Vladimir Dyadyun in the box and a penalty was awarded. With Marko Dević already being subbed off, it was Carlos Eduardo who would take the chance. Unfortunately for Rubin, Rebrov made a great save on the penalty chance to seal victory and retain 1st place for Spartak.
                            Manager's Thoughts
                            That was a month of highs and lows. We started amazing with a 4-0 win over a quality Lokomotiv Moskva side and then had the game of our lives with an 8-1 win over Torpedo Moskva. After those matches, I felt as if no one could stop us. Then we hit a brick wall against 1st place Spartak Moskva and lost 2-1. If we would have won that game, we would have been in 1st place in the RFPL. Instead, with the loss we dropped to 4th. That is still good enough for a Europa League spot, but I really want to achieve Champions League football. The goals are pouring in for us, but we need to do a better job defensively and start getting more clean sheets.
                            Defensive midfielder Blagoy Georgiev has again been called up to represent his home country of Bulgaria. Georgiev scored one goal this month for Rubin Kazan and was also awarded Man of the Match against Spartak Moskva. Rubin congratulates Blagoy on his accomplishments.
                            November 2014 Fixtures
                            11/2 - vs Rostov
                            11/9 - at CSKA
                            11/22 - vs Zenit
                            11/30 - at Ural
                            This month is going to be really tough as we face two quality sides in CSKA Moskva and Zenit St. Petersburg. CSKA currently sits one point ahead of us in the table, but we have to travel to Moscow to face them. I would be satisfied with a draw in this match. Zenit is really struggling as they sit at 8th in the table despite having the most talent in the league. With this match at Kazan Arena, I hope to get a win and continue Zenit's woes. As far as FC Rostov and FC Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast are concerned, we must win both of those match. So in total, I anticipate 10 out of a possible 12 points.
                              MOTM Benteke
                              The game started off with Southampton pressing forward. Their shot was weak though and Butland picked the ball up and then threw it to Benteke who got the ball inside our own half. He started dribbling at the defenders and got past one with a step over then he took on another who he beat with a ball roll. He got into the box and finessed it around keeper at near post. Southampton would equalize with another deflection goal, the third game in a row for us to concede this way. Rodriguez shot it and Elmohamady jumped to block it but was unsuccessful and just deflected it in. Hernandez put us back in the lead in the 80’. Snodgrass crossed it in and Hernandez shot but the keeper saved it. The ball was almost out for a corner but Hernandez took his chance from a tight angle and was able to finish it the second time. Benteke removed all doubt with his strike in the 90’. Gaston Ramirez played Benteke through and he went all by himself and smashed it into the back post out of the keeros reach. It was a good game to start the month and end the five game losing streak we were on. Huddlestone pulled his hamstring and will be out for 3 weeks.
                              Benteke’s goal.
                              MOTM Livermore
                              A second win in a row, hopefully we starting to turn it around. With Huddlestone out injured Jake Livermore stepped into the starting lineup and he impressed. He is similar to Huddlestone in the way that he dictates play but he is smaller so he he is not as physical and relies more on interceptions and good positioning. He scored the only goal of the game with a strike from the edge of the box. Snodgrass crossed the ball from a corner and Benteke headed it down to Livermore who was outside the box. He took a touch and then struck the ball that went to the bottom corner and the keeper had no time to react. The rest of the game was back and forth in the midfield with few chances.
                              MOTM Butland
                              Our second clean sheet and it was against a good Spurs side. Brady opened the scoring with a header that he beat Yedlin to and it just looped over Vorm and into the net. Spurs were constantly pressing us and we were lucky to have an inform Butland in goal who ended the match with an 8.8 match rating and 10 saves. Hernandez doubled our lead when he was played by Benteke with his back to goal but an excellent touch to turn he passed the ball into the back of a net with a well placed shot.
                              Hernandez’s turn.
                              MOTM Butland
                              I am happy to come away with a point from Old Trafford, they were unlucky and had poor finishing which explains being just above us in the league. Blind scored when Butland went to throw the ball but tripped over and injured player and dropped the ball. It fell straight to Blind who had an open goal and was never going to miss. We took one of our three chances in the 79'. Benteke was able to create enough space to get a shot off and it flew past De Gea.
                              My Thoughts:
                              A much better month and we got more points than I expected. The win against Spurs is a big result and I was very please. We kept our first two clean sheets this month which was good to see.
                              I've received an international management offer from Finland. I will most likely will not take it but it is good to see that my work with Hull is being noticed.
                              So I'm leaving on vacation so this will be my last update for about 2 weeks.
