[quote=Keano16;2047567110]@JC: That sucks to see you got sacked and especially seeing as you were on the up. Good luck with Leicester. Did the CPU make many changes to the squad?

I dont think they did really. They didn't play Okazaki all season and let him go on a free at the end of the season, which sucks cos he is pretty good. I will post my progress so far soon.

@JC Domination That's horrible news. I think that's the second sacking here in the last couple of weeks. I remember Indiblue got fired from a German club for a poor run of results. Always sucks to see the board behave like a bunch of idiots. Can't wait to see what you do with Leicester.

      @SnapeKillsDumbledore
Yeah the board were not good to me, firing me when I was almost there. And thanks, the Leicester career should be fun. It's a new challenge and honestly, the Swansea season was too fun for me, what with all the goals conceded.

Congratulations on winning Serie B, quite an achievement. Did you find it easy?

Wasn't very easy. There was a run of 10-12 games where I genuinely thought we'd be lucky to get promoted, but in the end my team were superior to all the rest by a significant margin. The last 6-7 games where all my players were in 'excellent' form was a breeze. I've never had such a simple run-in with just one loss.

Yep, Juventus were tough as nails. We were able to hold out and take the game to them for a large part of the 180 minutes, but in the end their class spoke for itself. Mancosu was fantastic and I have no doubt he will be equally crucial to our first season back in Serie A. I actually have got all the way to September of the 2015/16 season, but I'm waiting for the POTY vote to finish before posting it.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

SnapeKills: What a great finish to the season. It looks like Juve were the only team to beat you in the second half of the season unless I missed something. A healthy draws kept the league title race open, but that always makes it more fun. I saw you were bringing in a new GK, but what other positions are you looking to strengthen get ready for Serie A?

JC: You got up to 5th and management fired you? You were in a Europa league spot and that wasn't good enough for them? In real life you would treated like a conquering hero if you had brought Swansea up to 5th! On the other side, Leicester is an exciting option to take over at. I've always liked their team so it will be fun watching you turn them around now. I can't wait for the first time you pay Swansea.

Keano: You were able to send a good amount of your players out on loan so hopefully they come back next year ready to contribute. Maksimenko is a great option in terms of versatility and should be able to find playing at one position or another. Haynes is a really good player to bring in, although it would have been nice if it was a permanent move. Terry Gornell has been a favorite around here in the past for League 2 careers and he should score plenty for you. Outside of the transfers, top of the table is a great start, although I see Portsmouth lurking up here even on points with you

LukeWhu: Way to dominate your Champions League group! Porto is a tough opponent, but I can't wait to see how far you go. In league play it sucks that Bayern passed you up after that Dortmund game cost you some vital points. Still, only 2 points off means that you can still move back up with plenty of time. Transfer window brings new opportunities to get read for that push to the top.

Chico: Good to see you back in some way. I'm more than happy to see you posting in this capacity. Your shaky start, but solid improvement is realistic for most managers as they get used to a new team and the players adjust to the system. You're top of the table already so things have ended up working out pretty well. Love to see you still bringing your B squad with you every club you are at. As for that red card, I think it applies to all competitions that the English FA oversees. Di Maria was sent off in the FA Cup for United last season and had to serve a suspension for League matches as well.

            RB Leipzig 2018/19 Season

            January 2019 Transfer Window
            Winter Transfers.png
So we had roughly around £43,000,000 to spend in January until the transfer of academy graduate Francois Maric who moved to Chelsea for a fee of £17,500,000 so this gave us even more money to spend. It was well documented that we needed another keeper and the perfect opportunity arose. Oliver Baumann handed in a transfer request at Hannover so we managed to swoop in and seal the deal for £3,500,000 and Klostermann, who hadn't really had the chance since the arrival of Sule and rise of Kempf. Another player who asked to leave was Nuremberg's 21 year old striker Alexandre Silva who we paid £6,500,000 for. We monitored the situation for a week before making our move, getting the scouts opinion and we could have a real gem on our hands here. A natural finisher with the ability to go round a player our fans are going to love watching this talent. After the sale of Maric we needed to bring in another midfielder to fill the void on top of the midfielder we had already planned to buy so we opted to go for a player I have admired for a while Alen Halilovic. I truly believe that he can be the player to make the difference in the title race, the boy has it all and still only 22 will still have many great years ahead of him and for £12,500,000 I feel that we go a really good deal. Our second midfield purchase was Bernardo Silva for £11,500,000. We took a bit of a gamble on this transfer as we left it too the last minute so the scouts were unable to their opinion but I am confident that it could be another really good signing for the club. I haven't addressed the issue of right and left back and it is probably long overdue but I feel I have bought in the perfect players Alex Telles for £5,500,000 and Bertrand Traore from Hoffenheim and Deandre Yedlin from Tottenham Hotspur for £3,500,000. Both are pacey, attack minded full backs who should offer a bit more going forward. Deadline day was a busy period for us but a good one. A deal that we hadn't planned was finalised, the signing of Anwar El Ghazi for £5,000,000 and Hajrovic from Ajax. Hajrovic had been a fantastic player for me and I wasn't sure I wanted to part with him but his career seemed to hit a standstill so I felt this deal was best for everyone involved. Now onto our arrivals for next season. We have agreed deals with midfielder's Daley Sinkgraven and Granit Xhaka, players I look forward to working with next season.

            January - February 2019 Results
            Jan-Feb 2019.png
January was perfect, we won both games and kept two clean sheets in the process but unfortunately it takes a bit of a turn for the worse in February. I decided not too rush all the new boys in straight away and stuck with the majority of players who got me where I was but we have been struggling in the league of late. We didn't lose any games but the draws are costing us dearly with Bayern starting to take control of the title race and Wolfsburg threatening to over take us so we need things to chance quickly. It's not all doom and gloom however, the defence has been magnificent. Scuffet, Sule, Dragovic, Telles and Yedlin have been keeping clean sheets like it is nothing but Scuffet has been top class pulling out saves that he has no right to make and I've got to say that Scuffet could be on his way for the Player of the Year award should he keep this form up. Goals have been the biggest problem for us with our leading goal scorer currently Draxler and Calhanoglu tied at 10 each. Vietto has struggled in his first season and Sabitzer's return hasn't had the same impact as his first spell with the club but I have targets in mind for next season so I'm prepared. We are into the semi final of the Deustcher Pokal for the second time since I took over and we are hoping to go all the way this time. It was a tough game against Nuremberg who like Frankfurt in the last round, can count themselves unlucky not to go through after wasting a string of golden opportunities, but it was El Ghazi on his debut who spoiled their party after scoring what proved to be the deciding goal of the game. In the Champions League we got that all important away goal and take a slender 1-0 lead back to the Red Bull Arena and we have a terrific defensive record on our patch so we are confident that we will progress into the next round.

            Bundesliga Table
            League Table.png
With Bayern 8 points clear of us we may have to accept that the league will be heading the Munich this year but with Bayern still to play as well as Dortmund having to face Bayern there is always the chance that they will drop points so it is up to us to try and keep up with them the best we can and hope for a miracle to happen. It's good to see Bor.M'gladbch back fighting for europe again after two dreadful seasons because they have so wonderful players who deserve to be playing in europe. At the bottom of the table Hertha still find themselves in the bottom 3 and games are running out. It is between them and Bremen and K'lautern for the relegation playoff this season so it should be interesting to see how it unfolds towards the end of the season.

            Deustcher Pokal Semi Finals
RB Leipzig - FC Schalke 04
            Bor.Dortmund - 1899 Hoffenheim

            Upcoming Fixtures
            Bayer 04 - RB Leipzig
            RB Leipzig - FC Bayern
            RB Leipzig - FC Porto
FSV Mainz 05 - RB Leipzig
            RB Leipzig - VfB Stuggart

            Thanks for Reading Guys, Enjoy!!!

              L'Equipe, 17th of June 2015

A real shock hit the ground in Marseille earlier today. The Argentinian Marcelo Bielsa, who lead Olympique de Marseille to a fifth-place finish and a Europa League spot (I know, it was fourth irl) in the 2014-15 campaign, has suddenly resigned from his post as OM's head coach. If that wasn't enough Marseille lost half of their starting lineup with the likes of Jeremy Morel, Giannelli Imbula, Dimitri Payet, Andre Ayew and Andre Gignac leaving. The club didn't wait long for a new head coach and only hours after Bielsa's resignation the board announced that their new head coach and manager would be Bielsa's assistant coach Símon Lamasine. The 43-year-old has worked for Marseille for ten years, first as the U21 head coach and since 2010 as the permanent assistant manager. Lamasine, who is the club owner Margarita Louis-Dreyfus' son-in-law, has received criticism in the last couple of years because of connections with the local mafia and high self-confidence. He signed a one-year contract with the club.

              Press Conference

Bonjour, and congratulations on the new job as the manager of Olympique Marseille. How did you feel when the board contacted you?

Merci beaucoup. When I heard that Marcelo (Bielsa) has resigned I was very upset and I know that the board wanted to sign an experienced manager. When they asked me about the job I couldn't believe it and I was happy to accept it straight away.

What are you looking to do as the head coach of the team?

I am also in charge of transfers which means that I'll be strengthening the team in areas that I think need strengthening. After that I'll get the boys ready for the season and we will do our best and even more to achieve a top three finish to get into the Champions League. Our ultimate target is to make Marseille one of the best teams in Europe and conquer the Champions League. I think we can do that in a few years.

You have lost many key players and the captain Steve Mandanda wants to leave the club. How will you cope with these things?

No player is irreplacible. Yes, we sold some very good players but we are going to sign some other good players who will make our squad better than it was already. As for Steve (Mandanda), he was offered a contract extension but he didn't accept it. We won't tolerate that kind of behaviour here at Olympique de Marseille and if an offer comes for Steve we will be accepting it. No player is bigger than the club.

Marseille have been through some tough times lately. Why do you think that you are the right person to fix the problems?

Because I'm a very good manager. I may not have a huge amount of experience but neither did Jose Mourinho when he took control in Porto. The team was far away from the top and in a couple of years they won the Champions League.

Are you comparing yourself to Jose Mourinho?

Yes I am but the differences are that I'm a better manager, a better human being and a better professional. Thank you for your questions.

The next post will have the transfers and August results and if there is a lot of transfers I'll just make them into two separate posts. I won't be posting that often nowadays since school just started two days ago. I'll make sure to comment on everyone's careers in the next couple of days, though!

Yes, initially he was left out because he had a poor preseason. The preseason is where I decide who will be on my first team and who will be on my B-Team, since I judge players mostly on their performances rather than their overall. Once the season started I realized that he actually plays quite poor unless I'm using him as a CF behind the striker. Anywhere else on the field he pretty much disappears. I'm still learning from him though trying to find more options for him. Another reason is that Alex Mowatt plays the same position as him and Mowatt is an English Leeds United youth graduate and is also our current top scorer. It's pretty difficult for Adryan right now and after doing some reading online it sounds like he's having a similar experience IRL.

Oh you don't even know my friend. I'm so dedicated to this team that I refuse to follow a team from a different country or even own a jersey of a different team. You'll never see me wearing a jersey that isn't either a Chivas jersey or a Mexico jersey. Even if the Champions League final is on I'd rather watch a Chivas game regardless if it's an official match or not. Hell, I think I actually celebrate Chivas' goals more than the Mexico national team goals haha unless it's at the World Cup. That's where I go crazy too lol Chelsea is a great club. I refuse to follow other teams but I do respect other teams and Chelsea is one of them. By the way I'm a Harry Potter fan as well! :0

Thanks man. I'm actually starting to get farther away from 2nd place which is a little disappointing. I might bump it up to legendary and see how it goes. The board expects me to finish mid table to I have some room to mess around. The B-Team will always be with me lol I feel it's a great way to not only rotate the players but also to see what kind of talent we have. Judging a player based on substitute appearances can be misleading so the B-Team is a way for the players to show me what they can really do. Thanks for clearing up the red card thing! At first I thought it was a FIFA error but it makes total sense now.

Keano: WHAAAAAAAAAAAT you got Gornell!!!! Damn really looking forward to what that legend can do for you I've never used him on 15. I was glad to see he scored, assisted, and was named MOTM in his first game for you!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

@ChicoBass Yeah, I figured you would be that way. I'm pretty much the same with Chelsea. I don't understand people who support one team in one country and another team elsewhere, much less two clubs from the same country or even division. I never understood fans who support their local club and someone big like Manchester United. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking their right to do it. I just can't see the logic. If I had a local team and supported them, I'd do nothing else. And because I support Chelsea, I never cared about my local club (NY Red Bulls). Even people who support say Arsenal and Real Madrid, I don't see how it works. Though I'm all for supporting a team you don't live near. Football is a very emotional game. And yeah, no other club's merchandise touches my skin either! I wish India got into the World Cup. I'd quit my job and go follow them for those couple of months! Mexican football isn't something I'm alien to. I grew up in the US with tons of chicano friends, all of them were mad about their teams. I don't know too much about Guadalajara, but I do know you guys are one of the most successful in the country, so that's pretty cool. And sorry to disappoint, but I'm not really a HP fan. I used a name generator to come up with this username!

@Texasbum Thanks, we did finish really strongly. I like starting the new season with plenty of in-form players. I did lose to Bari in the league as well, but we came out on top eventually. Juventus were really tough to break down, I suppose we should get used to that now that we've been promoted. I've also strengthened across the board. I don't want to say too much else because it might kill the suspense of my transfer update, which is ready and coming soon!

                  @LukeWhu
You're rolling in cash but not dominating the league. I like that. It gives you the fun of splashing out on big names and top players, but without the killjoy of having made the game too easy. There's still 10 games to play and you're only 8 points behind Bayern, so while it might not be very likely, you're still in with a good shot at the title. Don't you dare give up now!

@Simppu Really pleased to see you've chosen Marseille! They have been one of Europe's great underachievers. The match fixing really hurt them to the point that they've never truly recovered from it, and the club IRL is in a very bad financial situation. Ayew and Gignac both left because the club could not afford to continue paying them what they were, and Champions League football doesn't look like it will be coming back anytime soon. They do have a nicely renovated stadium to play in, but it'll be nice to see you turn their fortunes around. I hope you continue their long tradition of having African superstars on the books.

                    Bologna S01

This week, we sit down with Bologna FC head coach Severo Bombo to talk about the 2014/15 season and his plans for the upcoming campaign.

You're back in Serie A after coming first. Was the season good?

It had its share of good and bad. We had a period in the middle where we felt that we would have to fight to finish in the top three, but I am proud of the way my players fought back to finish on such a good note. The most important thing for me is to see them adapt to each opponent. We played beautiful football when we could and fought to win when we had to. I think we also enjoyed great support from the fans, and it's nice that we can give them a quick return to the top. A club like Bologna deserves to be there.

You had some standout players this season. Tell us about them.

Well the most important thing is that we came through as a team because everyone did their job very well. I can't talk about individuals without pointing out that they can shine only when we all put the team first. But we did have some players who excelled. Matteo Mancosu was consistent as a goalscorer, which is always important to have. Young players like Danilo Cataldi and Ibrahima Mbaye stood up and took their chances. I want to see if they can repeat that against teams like Juventus with so much at stake.

What are your plans to improve the team this summer?

We have to be smart in the market. Some players will leave and some will join, that is the way of any football club. We don't want to have a very big turnover because I believe that a team gets better as they play together. I also think many of the players who took us through this season deserve the chance to show me what they can do at the top. So we will be looking for those players who can improve our team, but we will not allow the club to suffer financially. I'm confident that the director and scouts will do well.

Is it true that you have only €2.5 million to spend in the market?

                    I have no comment.

The two friendlies before the season, how will you approach them?

We have to be smart and recognize that we will not enter the season with total fitness. But at the same time we have to play against Queens Park Rangers and Saint-Etienne without losing our desire to win. It is important to keep the hunger alive even in friendly games. Once the season starts, we cannot lose focus if we have a slow start in terms of performances or results. This is a new challenge for us as a team, and one thing we have to adapt to is learning how to lose. We will lose more often next season than we did this one, and if we let those results affect us we will suffer. At the same time there will be no compromise in our style of play. We will continue to assess each opponent and plan our game by the conditions of that day.

What is your goal for this season?

Italian football is not in very good shape. We have many teams with bad stadiums and poor financial situations. I cannot see anyone challenging Juventus for the title this season also, but I think the opening is there for us to have a good season and surprise some people. We have very good owners who are renovating the stadium for us to play in Serie A. This team is good. You can see that because last season in the TIM Cup we beat Inter and Fiorentina. But we cannot allow ourselves to think that it will be easy or we will suffer. They say that 'just because you can does not mean you should', but I say to my team now that 'just because you should does not mean you can'. We have to be very smart in Serie A because teams here have more experience than us. Especially teams like Napoli and Roma who sometimes are poor in the first half but tear you apart in the second. I believe in my players, but we have to recognize our limits and work slowly to develop to the point where we can overcome them without being stupid.

It it true that Angelo Da Costa is moving to West Ham United?

The club is negotiating. Whether or not the move actually happens depends on West Ham. If they agree to pay the fee, the player is free to go. I don't want to say anything more because the negotiation is still hapenning, but it doesn't make sense to deny things if the player himself wants to go away.

Can you talk about the players you have already signed?

Yes, we have two players confirmed to join us next season. Maxwell Cornet is signed now after a season on loan with us. Lyon did not want to keep him in the first team and we did, so it was a simple decision for the player. He is comfortable here and feels like part of the team, and we are confident that he will make another valuable contribution like he did last season. Of course there is also Fehmi Mert Günok, who is a free transfer from Fenerbahçe. I think he is a fantastic player who will grow and develop with us. Everyone is eager to start working with him. Also we have coming back from loan two players in Rolando Bianchi and Martí Riverola. Bianchi we will assess in the preseason after his injury is healed, but Riverola has already been told that he will be part of the team for next season. I look forward to seeing both.

Is there anything else you want us to know?

Make sure to keep an eye on us. Bologna will have a few surprises for you.

Matteo Mancosu has been unanimously voted as Bologna FC player of the season for 2014/15. He scored 20 goals in 38 Serie B appearances to help us finish first with 90 points, and 4 goals in the TIM Cup where we lost 2-0 on aggregate to Juventus in the semi-final stage. Matteo also contributed with 4 league assists. The club congratulates Matteo on a job well done.

'I'm very pleased to be recognized by the fans. I could not have done this without the help of my teammates. I also want to thank the manager and coaches, the medical staff, and all the people at the club who help me feel good and do my best,' Matteo said, receiving his award at a club function.

'He deserves the honour. All his teammates and the fans recognize that he made a big difference to us. Matteo is a very special player, and I am sure that he will continue to impress us every time he plays,' said Severo Bombo.

Matteo has never played in Serie A before. If he starts in the opening game at home against Atalanta as he is expected to, it will be his first match in the Italian first division. Fans remain confident that he can succeed here.

I apologise or not commenting on people's careers much but I have just about enough time to now to give a bit of feedback on just a fraction of the great careers around here. I'm sorry if i missed anyone but i'll be sure to comment on their's in the future:

I don't think I've commented on any of your updates so I apologise! Atlanta is actually a team I was considering a long time ago because I found that they had an original feel to them and I wanted to find out more about their history and players but never did in the end. :P I was looking forward to how you were going to develop the team and you've done well but expectedly got into Serie A!

Nice interview here too. It has a nice realism and a good flow to it. You actually have €2.5m to play with at top flight Italian football!!? Wow!

Good luck for the upcoming season!

Marseille? Yes!! Definitely one of my favourite French teams! I had a career in FIFA 12 (i think) and I really enjoyed it. Hope you do the same and looking forward to how much you impact the club.

Hope you fit in well and it entertains you until you get 16.

You had £60,000,000 to spend!!!!!??? I was in awe when I had around £7,000,000 with Exeter!

Nice signings by the way and at least you're getting one point instead of zero which will help at the end of the season. I'm sure you can turn those draws into wins. Good luck in the title race!

I don't think I've commented on this career! It's great to see some new faces at Shrewsbury and the appearance of Harry Gornell has especially caused some excitement and lifted your team to victory in the Hartlepool game.

Solid results and I could understand if you were a bit fustrated at losing to Ipswich after pushing them into a corner.

The aquisition of Çiftçi really impressed me and he seems to be doing really well with Jamieson. Jamieson has to be one of my favourite players and he's just doing amazing for you! Shame about his broken toe though. Graham Cummins ended up getting a series of injuries and never felt the same after he recovered. Jamieson is younger and I expect him to bounce back once he's fit.

Winning every game is surely the best possible start and I hope you go all the way to the Premier League in no time!

You won all the games Swansea would have been expected to win and maybe a bit hard done by with that last minute goal against Southampton for you to lose the point but you've done well to get into eighth! Austin has been looking good for you too. Keep it up!

                        Olympique de Marseille

                        Transfers Out

                        Foued Kadir
                        (71 ovr), €1,200,000 to Guingamp

Kadir didn't have a future at this club as he was our oldest winger without any great stats. Pace, dribbling, crossing, everything was meh. We prefer younger and better players.

Bouna Sarr (69 ovr), €1,300,000 to Guingamp

Another winger who isn't good enough for the team got also sold to Guingamp. Sarr was our sixth-choice winger and he would've gotten onto the pitch in maybe five games at best.

Abou Diaby (75 ovr), €3,500,000 to Sunderland

Diaby managed to feature in two games for us before he was sold to Sunderland. The biggest issue wasn't his ability, it was his way too high wages for a bench player.

Abdelaziz Barrada (77 ovr), €20,000,000 to Manchester United

Man United were ready to pay three times more than his worth for our starting CAM and that was everything I wanted to hear. Barrada is a good player but he isn't good enough to turn down that kind of an offer.

Steve Mandanda (83 ovr), €20,000,000 to Atletico Madrid

Even if you have made over 320 appearances for the team and you're the captain that kind of behaviour will not be taken easily. First he refused two generous contract extension offers and then he went ahead and called Olympique de Marseille too small of a team for him. He was transfer listed straight away and Atletico were the first team to make an offer for him.

                        Transfers In

                        Leandro Paredes

68 Ovr, Central Midfielder, 21 Years Old, Argentina

                        €750,000

Olympique Marseille completed a whopping nine signings in Símon Lamasine's first transfer window in charge. The cheapest of them was Leandro Paredes who arrived for a measly fee of €750 thousand from AS Roma. The young midfielder, who joined Roma for almost five million euros a couple of years ago, is surely worth much more than under a million euros and the Roma board is receiving a lot of criticism for selling him for basically nothing. Paredes has a lot of potential in him and he's expected to get many playing chances for L'OM.

                        M'Baye Niang

71 Ovr, Striker, 20 Years Old, France

                        €2,000,000

Another youngster who was signed for a very low fee by Olympique Marseille was the French attacker M'Baye Niang. The 21-year-old joined AC Milan from Caen in 2012 but after 33 league appearances and two loan spells it was time for him to return to his homeland France. The pacy and skilful attacker has made almost twenty appearances for France's different youth national teams. He will probably be Marseille's second-choice striker after Michy Batshuayi.

                        Marcos Lopes

72 Ovr, Attacking Midfielder, 19 Years Old, Portugal

                        €2,000,000

Marseille's youngest signing of the summer window was the Portuguese attacking midfielder Marcos Lopes who joined them from Manchester City for a fee of two million euros. The teenager, who is nicknamed Rony for some reason, spent the last season on loan at the French Lille. Lopes has made several appearances for Portugal's youth national teams from the U16's to U21's and he's one of the biggest Portuguese midfield talents. Lopes is expected to be Marseille's second-choice #10 in their 4-2-3-1.

                        Paul-Georges Ntep

75 Ovr, Left Winger, 23 Years Old, France

                        €4,800,000

One of the biggest Ligue 1 hits of the 2014-15 season was Paul-Georges Ntep. The French winger had an excellent season with Stade Rennais which lead to teams like Liverpool going after him. At the end it was Olympique Marseille who managed to sign him for under five million euros. Ntep, who is a gifted dribbler, is part of the French national team and he will add a lot of pace and skill into Marseille's attack.

                        Jordan Amavi

72 Ovr, Left Back, 21 Years Old, France

                        €5,200,000

Another success story of last season joined Olympique Marseille under questionable circumstances. The talented left back Jordan Amavi, who had already joined Aston Villa, suddenly signed for Marseille only after a month of life in England. It's unkown what caused Amavi to change his mind so quickly but it's certain that Marseille have grabbed theirselves a real gem. Amavi will be a very good back-up option for the starting left back Benjamin Mendy.

                        Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa

77 Ovr, Centre Back, 26 Years Old, France

                        €6,600,000

Another position that Marseille wanted to improve was the central defence and that's what they did with the signing of Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa. The French defender, who has also won the Ligue 1 in 2012, arrived for six and a half million euros from AS Roma. Yanga-Mbiwa, who is strong, good in the air and a solid tackler will form a defensive partnership in the middle of the defence with the new captain Nicolas Nkoulou.

                        Etienne Capoue

78 Ovr, Defensive Midfielder, 27 Years Old, France

                        €8,000,000

The third most expensive player Marseille signed in the transfer window arrived on deadline day from Watford for a fee of eight million euros. The Frenchman didn't have a good time at Tottenham and he got sold to Watford for nine million euros on 6th of July. Under two months later Capoue decided to join Marseille and Watford lost a million euros. Capoue brings passing and defensive quality to Marseille's double pivot and he'll form a strong partnership with Lass Diarra.

                        Andre-Pierre Gignac

82 Ovr, Striker, 29 Years Old, France

                        €12,000,000

The third controversial signing Marseille completed featured the recently gone striker Andre-Pierre Gignac re-join the club after a month at the Mexican Tigres UANL. Before spending a month in Mexico Gignac was Marseille's starting striker and he finished last season with 21 league goals, overtaking Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the second-highest top scorer. The strong and clinical striker will now re-continue his career in the south of France.

                        Vincent Enyeama

82 Ovr, Goalkeeper, 33 Years Old, Nigeria

                        €14,000,000

The most expensive signing Olympique Marseille completed in the transfer window was bringing in Steve Mandanda's replacement from LOSC Lille. Marseille made offers for Cedric Carrasso, Benoit Costil and Stefane Ruffier but at the end Lille's Enyeama was the chosen one. The 33-year-old keeper kept eleven consecutive clean sheets in the 2013-14 campaign and he came very close to breaking the record but it wasn't meant to be. Enyeama is also known for his great reflexes and for his tendencies to take penalties some times.

                          RB Leipzig 2018/19 Season

                          March 2019
                          March 2019.png
We had a good month with 3 wins and 1 draw in the league as well as progressing in the Champions League. The victory against Bayern was probably the highlight of the month after it looked as if Bayern were heading for the win until 2 goals in the last 10 minutes secured the 3 points for us an excellent comeback which helped peg back Bayern, narrowing their gap to 4 points at the top. Vietto seemed to be stepping up in the big games after netting against Bayer 04, Bayern and Porto and lets hope he ends the season in this sort of form. We also progressed into the Quarter Finals of the Champions League after winning the tie 3-1 on aggregate. After the game we found out who we had drawn in the next round, none other than the Barcelona. Manager LukeWH94 expressed his thoughts on drawing Barcelona and said "this is an unbelievable tie and one in which the Liepzig fans will enjoy. This is what the Champions League is all about and we will be hoping to pull off one of the shocks of the season"

                          April - May 2019
                          April-May 2019.png
This was the deciding period in the title race with Bayern holding the edge over us in the final couple of games of the season. We won every game in the league throughout April, we couldn't afford to slip up, we had to match Bayern's results and hope that they slip up somewhere. We were comfortable in this month with the exception of the game against Hamburg which although we won 3-2. the team showed signs of fatigue as we had played more matches than most of our opponents this season. Draxler continued his brilliant form this season as well as Vietto who is coming into form at the right time. We had to play our youngsters in a few games due to cup commitments but they put in a string of solid performances and doen themselves proud. The Champions League came to an end after Barcelona beat us 2-1 on aggregate and I feel hard done by after we had chance after chance but just couldn't score. We limited Barca to 2 or 3 chances and fair play to them, they took 1 and it decided the tie. I'm so proud of my players though, I felt we were fantastic not only in this game but throughout the competition. What people forget is that was our first season in the elite competition and we done the club and the fans proud and have really put RB Leipzig on the map. We made it to our first Deustcher Pokal final after a 1-0 victory of Schalke 04. It was a really good cup tie with both team going all out for the win in front of a terrific atmosphere. Schalke set the tone in the early stages after a couple of strong challenges angered the RB Leipzig players and things may have been difference had Schalke scored form the spot. Calhanoglu scored the only goal of the game curling a shot from the edge of the area which sent the RB Leipzig into their first Deutcher Pokal under LukeWHU94.

May was the deciding month, with 2 games to go Bayern were in the driving seat, it was theirs to lose and could clinch the title with one game to go. We had a tricky test away to Drotmund who have a terrific record against us and we gave it everything. We really went for it and had our chances but just were not clinical in front of goal. We dominated the game in possession, creating many chances in the process but Dormtund held on for the 0 - 0 which gave Bayern the title. However Bayern wanted to win it in style and close the season with 2 victories which saw them win the league by 6 points. We achieved the aim that the board set us of Champions League football for a second season and my personal aim of challenging for the title now we just need to kick on next season and try to compete with Bayern again next season. We did have a cup final against Hoffenheim to look forward to though and we were ready. The first 45 minutes of the game didn't see too many chances but in the opening minutes of the second half Hoffenheim were awarded a penalty, the Leipzig fans couldn't believe it. Erick Torres stepped up and hit a good penalty but only to be denied by Oliver Baumann who sprung to his left to tip the spot kick over the bar. A couple of minutes later and the man of the moment Luciano Vitto scored the winner slotting past the keeper to give Leipzig their second piece of silverware in 2 seasons.

Simone Scuffet - 24 League Clean Sheets
This years player of the season has to be Simone Scuffet was sensational this season after keeping 24 clean sheets in the Bundesliga and was vital in our success this season as well as not conceding a goal in the cup either but was unfortunately picked up an injury in training, ruling him out of the final. I had decided on the winner of this award about 2 months ago which shows how well the young keepers performed. Still only 22 years old he is yet to reach his prime so there is no telling how good this boy can be. We rejected a huge bid of £40,000,000 from an unamed Bundesliga club and we will do the same next season as well.

                          Club News
Julain Draxler - I am sorry to break the news to te fans that Julian Draxler has decided not to extend his contract with the club. We offered him terms that put him in the elite bracket at this club in terms of wages. The most dissapointing part of this is the player going public saying that he is too big for the club which is not only disrepectful to this great club but to me and his team mates and myself and the board have decided that it is best to offload the player in the new season. Any offer that meets the£50,000,000 valuation we have of the player will be accepted.
Next Season - I have been in discussion with the board discussing next season and we have come to an agreement on the transfer budget avaliable. We decided £21,000,000 is a fair amount to meet the mimmum aims of Champions League football and progression to the quarter finals of the Desutcher Pokal and knockout stage of the Champions League.

Thanks for Reading and Sorry for the Long Post, Didn't Realise There Was So Much too Discuss. Any Suggestions or Comments are appreciated

                              Olympique de Marseille

                              August 2015

Girondins de Bordeaux 0 - 0 Olympique de Marseille

We started off the season in very dull fashion against a solid Bordeuax side. There were only four shots in the whole game and neither team managed to create anything too dangerous.

Olympique de Marseille 2 - 0 AJ Auxerre
                              Alessandrini 15' pen, Batshuayi 47'
                              Aguilar s/o 13'

We didn't perform too well in our first home fixture but we still managed to beat Auxerre. Auxerre's Aguilar got sent off only 13 minutes into the game after a harsh challenge on Paul-Georges Ntep. Romain Alessandrini stepped up to take the penalty and he scored the winning goal from the spot. Right after Auxerre's kick off in the second half Michy Batshuayi stole the ball and went ahead to score.

                              Qualifying Round, 1st Leg
Olympique de Marseille 5 - 0 Randers FC
                              Niang 22', 72', Paredes 76', 86', Ntep 90'

We were superior in the first leg of the Europa League qualifier against the Danish Randers FC. Mbaye Niang was the star of the show with his brace and two assists. The Frenchman put us into the lead in the 22nd minute with a tap in and half an hour into the second half he curled the ball beautifully into the bottom left corner from a counter attack. Only four minutes later Leandro Paredes scored the third with a tap in and he got his brace ten minutes later with a powerful near post shot. In stoppage time P-G Ntep finished the fifth of the night from a counter attack to almost secure our place in the group stage.

OGC Nice 0 - 1 Olympique de Marseille
                              Alessandrini 76' pen

We struggled once again in league play and this time it was against Nice. Both teams failed to create many chances and at the end Romain Alessandrini decided the game from the penalty spot fifteen minutes before the fulltime whistle.

                              Qualifying Round, 2nd Leg
                              Randers FC (0) 0 - 3 (8) Olympique de Marseille
                              Niang 13', Johnsson OG 31', Ntep 87'

Randers didn't have a change of qualifying coming into this game and our second squad did everything that was needed once again. Mbaye Niang scored his third goal in two Europa League games in the 13th minute after intercepting a poor pass. At the half an hour mark Jordan Amavi's ground cross got puched into the goal by Randers' keeper Johnsson. Few minutes before the end Ntep scored the third with a tap in to finish a beautiful and long passing move.

Olympique de Marseille 2 - 0 Toulouse FC
                              Gignac 32', Alessandrini 71'

This was the first league game where we looked alright. Andre-Pierre Gignac put us into the lead in the 32nd minute in his comeback debut with a tap in. It then took 40 minutes for us to double our lead thanks to Romain Alessandrini's shot that got through the defender's legs.

                              Player of the Month

                              Romain Alessandrini

Our vice-captain is the first Player of the Month after good performances in every game he appeared in. His dribbling, speed, skill and passing abilities make him a dangerous player in the attack and he scored half of our league goals this month.

                              My Thoughts

                              Departures -
Kadir and Sarr were sold because we didn't need them in the team. Barrada was sold because Manchester United met our asking price of €20 million while his worth was €6,5 million. Mandanda left the team because he 'was too big for the team'. In addition two (low 60s) players were released by the club.

Arrivals - We completed a ton of signings in the window. Enyeama arrived to replace Mandanda in goal, Capoue arrived to add quality to our double pivot, Yanga-Mbiwa came to make our defence better, Gignac was bought because I wasn't happy with Batshuayi, Niang came for squad depth and so did Marcos Lopes and Paredes, Ntep arrived to play as our starting right winger and finally Amavi arrived to be our backup LB.

Form - We have been poor in the league. A draw and three wins isn't bad, especially when we didn't concede a single goal, but our attacking game hasn't been good at all. five goals in four games isn't good enough for a team that wants to play in the Champions League. It could be just that me and the players are getting used to the new team.

Oh no, you were so close! Finishing in second is still very good and you did well in the Champions League, it's always tough to play against Barca. I was a bit surprised that you didn't have anyone scoring that many goals. I'm looking forward to the next season!

I am afraid that I have been sacked from Swansea. I did everything in my power to get results and we were actualy in good form, winning two games in a row and getting a draw against Everton, who are a tough side. And despite actually drawing level with Mancherster united in 5th position, the board did not feel comfortable with me at the healm. It is a sad time, as I felt the club was starting to get better, but this has been a very difficult job from the start. I am pleased to tell you however that Leicester City requested a new manager to help their promotion hopes back to the Premier League and I have taken the job. I am looking forward to my new role and am hoping to have better luck this time around.

That's EA logic for you right there. It's a shame that you got sacked (even though you should've been hailed as a hero). I'm looking forward to your adventures with Leicester. I've always been hoping for someone to do a career with them.

Congatulations on the league title! Getting promoted was expected but you did it in fine fashion. And man, what a TIM Cup run! You may have lost to Juve in the semis but they are the best Italian team now so no shame in that! If your budget is really only two million you'll need to do a lot of great work.
