Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Moose - I think a win would've been fair against Leicester since you had the majority of chances but that's football: one silly corner kick mistake costs you two points. Very nice free kick goal from Dybala, though. He has been great for you! The Villa corner was also a horrendous defending error but there wasn't anything you could've done. Luckily you were able to bounce back and win that game. Also, I like the new intro very much!

Keano - Your good start to the league season continued with solid four points from three games against good teams. It's good to see that Whittingham is still doing a great job for you! Unfortunately things are not looking good in the Europa League but with a couple of wins you could still challenge for a spot in the knockout rounds. Nothing's over yet.

Aquaman - Well done to get a win against West Brom in what seemed like a very exciting and fast-paced game! After that you did well to progress in the cup with a last-minute goal. Finally, the Liverpool game looked like a tough one and a draw is a great result, especially when you look at Agbonlahor's amazing equaliser! Also, well done so far in the league as 11th is a good place.

As far as international team offers go, I'd personally pass on the Uruguay job and accept the Australia one since it's always something special to play with your home nation.

Rabbit - Good work in the transfer window to bring in three good starters into the team. All three of them can be big for you and they could even still be be core members of the team in a couple of seasons. The results were a bit shaky but you are only two points behind the league leaders and I think you should be able to overtake them easily. Well done to progress in the cup!

Dorados next: you made good use of your low budget to sign half a starting eleven. I also know that annoying feeling when you accept offers for some players but they don't want to leave the club. On paper Otero and Binbin look like solid players and the squad looks good, too. I think you got off to a very good start in the league considering that you lost half of your starters and you have a game in hand. Also, Martin has been banging in goals for you.

Cabee - Come on, stop being a tease and give us the update already! Great to have your Exeter career back, by the way!

And that is all from the last few pages. I'll do my best to post the first Hertha update of the new season later today!

      August

      Premier League
      Matchday 1
      Stoke City 1-0 Liverpool

      83' Bojan (Shaqiri)

First game of the season and you can feel the excitement in the air! The fans are ready, the players are ready, everybody is tuned in for a new, fantastic season of English football. And then the first half is a boring, no shots at all, and you think you are going to need that ticket money back. Both teams fought in the midfield yet nobody got even close to the goal. Second half it got a bit more agressive, and we were luckily the ones who broke through, as Shaqiri showed his magic in the midfield and got the ball to Bojan, who sliced it to the top corner. A 1-0 start to the season against a big team, not bad at all.

      Premier League
      Matchday 2
      Tottenham Hotspurs 2-2 Stoke City

      5' Kane (PEN)
      15' Arnautovic (Bojan)
      45' Eriksen (Dembele)
      90' Whelen (Arnautovic)

Fantastic game full of goals. Sure, the penalty call was dodgy (Wollscheid tackled Kane, yet really didn't hit him), but Kane did finish it nicely, a panenka with Butland jumping completely wrong. We struck back quickly, Bojan with an interception, he pulled the defenders to him, and saw the space to give it to Marko, who leveled it quickly. Still, right before half-time, Eriksen beat Butland with a fantastic curler. We were trying to tie the game up, yet Vorm was absolutely out of this world. Before we scored, he saved Imbulas 1-on-1 chance. Still, a bit of space and talent from our wingers made the difference, as Arnautovic split the defense with a good pass to Whelan.

      Premier League
      Matchday 3
      Norwich City 1-0 Stoke City

      30' Jerome (PEN)

After two really good games, I was sadly shocked by this result. Our attack did not feed at all, and another penalty and a clumsy foul from our defender (Bardsley this time).

      Capital One Cup
      Round 1
      Stoke City 3-1 Leyton Orient

      18' Imbula (Bojan)
      34' Diouf (Imbula)
      53' Clohessy (Meteb)
      78' Diouf (Shenton)

I am certainly happy about this game, mostly because the youngsters looked good (especially Shenton!), Imbula was impactful and finally, I saw something positive from the strikers. First two of our goals were quite similar, through ball and we were on to score. They did get one back, with a cross into the box and a fantastic header, yet Diouf scored a header of his own. All in all, a great start to our cup run.

      Premier League
      Matchday 4
Stoke City 2-0 West Bromwich Albion

      43' Arnautovic (Wollscheid)
      48' Bojan (Arnautovic)

Final game of the month, and we could not have ended it on a higher note, going into the international break. West Brom looked poor, as our goals came in quick succession. First off, Arnautovic got three consecutive shots on goal, as the defense was sleeping. Bojan scored a goal just like rest of them, quick passing and into to the box.

      Player of the Month

      Bojan Krkic

So, I know, this is a section that most of you guys use, I haven't really used it that much, but I will now.

This month, I know it is early, and it was also close between him and Shawcross, but Bojan has really been impactful for us right from the start, and you can't really blame him. Five games, two goals, two assists. He has been linking up very well with the midfield and wingers, yet the strikers have not actually performed. He stepped up against Liverpool and looked good in the rest of the games.

      Honorable mention(s): Ryan Shawcross

      My Thoughts

BOYS I AM BACK WITH A BANG. *** ****, it feels good to play FIFA and actually be home for once.

So, a few thoughts on this CM first and then a few thoughts about a few ideas I have in this section.

I skipped preseason just because I did not want to do it, pretty simple.

A pretty decent start to the whole thing, team has played well and obviously, the talent level is there to make a push to the top section. Our away form lead us down, so that is something I want to focus on, maybe not play high pressure style of football away from Britannia, or somehow adapt to playing it, it has only been a month into this whole thing. At home, we were pretty much unstoppable, no team actually so far looked like they will have a good chance against us.

I am not making any signings currently, I will wait untill January to make moves, I did however still enable the transfer window, so there were still a few big signings. Lacazette made a move to Manchester City, Pjanic is now playing for Manchester United and both Godin and Ashley Williams are apart of Chelsea.

I was thinking of writing massive storylines or such to this CM, but I figured that I want to keep this classic, just games and a few news posts and discussions to make it interesting. Still, the plan is to make this a juggernaut team, but mostly, MY JUGGERNAUT TEAM. I started playing high pressure football and I want to play that kind of style when I finish this thing.

Now, about this section: I will start reading your CMs properly now, and I got a feature in mind that should bring some excitement here, we shall see.

All in all, take care lads, and let me know what you did like, what you did not like in this first post!

Hell yeah, he is back! Now we are just waiting for Chico, Indi and Jamie.

Great to see that you have returned to the thread! I'm very excited for this Stoke career because I was actually planning to do one myself after I'm done with Hertha but things happened and I didn't feel like doing it in the next few months or so. Anyway, you got off to a great start apart from the very disappointing Norwich loss. Beating Liverpool and drawing against Spurs are solid achievements, and you are in a good position in the league. Also, I like the 'Captions of the Month' section a lot.

I'm looking forward to your excitement bringer! Speaking of which, the thread has been coming back to life over the last week. Let's keep it going!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

I'm relatively new to this thread!, so some of you guys I have only been following your careers as of recent posts!

Moose - I'm still fuming about the Everton match today so I can't say I am a fan of the new intro! haha....Man, this would have to be 4th or 5th time this year we have lost a game in the 90th minute!, well done to West Ham, I do hope the Hammers continue to push for the rest of the season!...sadly looks like another mid table finish for my Toffees!

OK!,Back on topic to your FIFA 16 career, great set shot with Dyballa, what a season he is having for West Ham, He is just on fire!...(shame Dyballa and Lanzini don't have face scans!).
Question for Moose's mailbag: With Dyballa becoming West Ham's most prominent scorer and a great deal of depth at striker and Midfield positions...is there any chance Payet could be sold next transfer window...for the right price of course?

vrabbitt - David Fox sounds like a a great long term prospect!, 15 years old with great agility already, train him up! also £2,900,000 in the transfer budget should let you make a few nice moves next window!

Keano - Arsenal, Lazio, Chelsea, My beloved Everton and Celtic very tough month! Euro league is no doubt proving a tough competition for your Cardiff squad!, Hopefully October you can pick up points against Norwich and Derby at the very least!

10Cabee - I'm going right back to the start of the awesome thread to try and catch up on your Exeter City career, Lukaku is on of my favourite strikers!, must feel very rewarding to have taken that squad all the way too BPL!

Simppu - Johannes Geis looks like a talented player 83 overall and still only 24!, also Julian Brandt! wow!, I might have to scout them for my Aston Villa career I voted in your poll! Splash that Cash! $$$

Cruzrr - Great write up!, I'm glad to be catching this from the start!, Good start to the season, Unfortunate to drop points against Norwich...I liked the fact you added a few photos, helps put together what your side will look like once you do add a few transfers!

            Ha Ho He
            2018-19 Season

            Transfers Out

Johannes van den Bergh, Left Back, 67 Ovr,
            €575,000 to VfL Bochum

Our back-up left back Johannes van den Bergh, 32 years of age, is not getting any younger and he is decreasing in stats so we figured out that the best option would be to sell him. Second-tier Bochum met our asking price and we wish van den Bergh all the best.

Roy Beerens, Right Midfielder, 75 Ovr, €3,600,000 to 1. FC Köln

Roy Beerens was very unhappy at the team and we didn't need him anymore. He also didn't perform too well. As a result, selling him was the best option and Köln managed to snatch him up first.

Stefan Aigner, Right Midfielder, 77 Ovr, €5,000,000 to Hamburger SV

Similar case to Beerens' one. He was unhappy, playing badly and unneeded in the squad.

Aron Johansson, Striker, 78 Ovr, €18,000,000 to Rayo Vallecano

Our most expensive departure of the summer window was our starting striker Aron Johansson. The small La Liga side Rayo Vallecano were ready to splash the cash and pay twice as much as Johansson's market value was to get the American striker. That offer was simply too good to reject. He had a solid time at the club and we hope that he performs well in Spain.

            Transfers In

            Jeremy Dudziak

74 Ovr, Left Back, 23 Years Old, Germany

            €3,600,000

The reigning Champions League winners Hertha BSC completed two signings in the transfer window, both being replacement signings. The cheaper one was the signing of German left back Jeremy Dudziak from St. Pauli to replace the departed Johannes van den Bergh as the second-choice left back behind Marvin Plattenhardt. The Borussia Dortmund youth product Dudziak joined St. Pauli in the summer of 2015 and becoming an important member of the squad since then. Still at an age of only 23, Dudziak has some potential left in him.

            Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

85 Ovr, Striker, 29 Years Old, Gabon

            €47,000,000

A real shock transfer as Hertha Berlin signed one of the best strikers of the Bundesliga for a fee of nearly fifty million euros! The Bundesliga runner-ups and DFB Pokal & Champions League winners of last season showed that they are going to do their best in renewing the achievements of last season by bringing in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for a club record fee from the Bundesliga number three of last season, Borussia Dortmund. The Gabon international striker has been a real threat in Dortmund's attack since joining them in 2013 thanks to his pace and clinical finishing. The 29-year-old can also play on both wings and stopping him is no easy work for any defender.

Slaven Radic, Defensive Midfielder, 17 Years Old, 69 Ovr, 88-91 Pot, Serbia

We did play in a pre-season tournament and won it, beating Celta Vigo 2-1 in the final. Vedad Ibisevic and Vladimir Darida were the star players in the tournament.

As far as league play goes, two wins out of two games, other of them being against a good Borussia Mönchengladbach side, is a good start to the league season. Before that we managed to come back from 3-1 down against Man United to lift the UEFA Supercup after Mitchell Weiser slotted the deciding penalty in. Fun fact: Weiser also took our Champions League winning penalty against Arsenal in the final.

Then we have transfers! We sold van den Bergh because he wasn't good enough and he wasn't needed. Beerens and Aigner were finally sold after a season of trying to get rid of them. Both of the right wingers were unhappy with their deserved lack of game time and both of them were put on the transfer list. Unfortunately dead wood player #3, also known as Yunus Malli, didn't accept a single contract that was offered to him by a few clubs that were willing to meet our price demand. Hopefully we will be able to sell him in January. Finally, Johansson was sold because Rayo Vallecano offered double his worth.

Signings next. I think both of them are quite self-explanatory. Dudziak was signed because we needed a good back-up left back and Aubameyang was signed because we needed to replace Johansson with a star (as the poll says so). The man from Dortmund was the only good Bundesliga option, apart from Bayern's championship winning strikers, and we decided to go for him. A little spoiler since I have played ahead: he is worth every penny.

Then I'll comment on the starting eleven. The most surprising thing about it might be that Julian Weigl is starting instead of Johannes Geis. After an average last season and a very poor pre-season I decided to give Weigl a go as our holding midfielder and as you can probably guess, things worked out well and now he is a starter for us.

Another thing that might catch an eye is that Julian Brandt is not in the starting eleven. His story is similar to Geis': average last season and poor pre-season. Additionally, Leroy Sané was amazing in our pre-season tournament, thus earning the starting spot.

And finally up top we have our new signing Aubameyang starting with Ibisevic. It will be very interesting to see what will happen when Kalou returns from his injury in a couple of months. Other than that the starting eleven remains the same as last season.

Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

Hee-hee, I hope you enjoy reading though my Exeter career! You should thank Texas as his original Exeter career got me on here in the first place!

I definitely get where you're coming from with Romelu; he's dominant in the air but he's also very good with the ball at his feet too! With my 4-2-3-1 layout at the moment, he loves getting at least a goal a game. In 11 games, he has scored 8 and also has 3 assists to his name.
I had sold my 40 goal a season striker Yaya Sanogo and decided Lukaku suited the role perfectly. Yaya got 39 goals in 51 appearances so I'm rooting for Lukaku to improve upon that!

After being with Exeter for so long it was very rewarding when I won the BPL with them. It's nice to be a part of their development and I'm looking forward to when the Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi regens start showing up. Ronaldo's 35 years old now if i remember correctly so he's surely retiring soon.

I'll hopefully be commenting on everyone's careers soon too.

I'm pleased to see that Whittingham has still been our best player after a terrific season last year. I was afraid that age would catch up to him but he doesn't rely heavily on his physical stats so I'm sure he can keep going next season too! Indeed, it was a very tough month. Your Everton was the only game where we really clicked and the three points were very very welcome. Thankfully we also took a point off Chelsea so the month wasn't a complete disaster PL wise. EL wise we are really struggling and will need to beat Rosenborg to improve the situation.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

@Simp: Buying Auba was a big statement that Hertha is here to stay at the top of German and indeed European football. Dudziak also looks like a decent depth signing and glad to see you managed to offload a couple of the players you wanted to. Natsume is looking like a decent player and your squad is starting to shape up nicely. Good opening to the season, winning the Supercup and your first two league games. Zenit and Atleti may provide some problems in the CL but I'm sure you can overcome them.

@Cabee: Looking at that starting XI made me realize how far you've taken Exeter! What's the ratings of the rest of the squad? Looking forward to another PL title and possibly CL glory?

@Moose & Aquaman: My data ran out recently so I won't be able to regularly watch your vids but rest assured, when I can, I will! There better be some good games to watch!

@Cruzerr: I also flirted with the idea of Stoke, mainly because of the strong Irish contingent but also because they have some exciting attacking players like Shaqiri, Bojan, Afellay and Arnautovic, but never got around to it. You got off to a good start minus the Norwich game and the aforementioned players really showed their worth, Bojan especially. 8th is a decent position and you are only a few points out of the top six so with a bit of momentum you can surely break into it. What's your aim for this season? In relation to the CPU transfers, I'm surprised to see Williams join Chelsea. Also I like the pictures section!

@Rabbit: Newport; You added three quality players that really improved your squad and all have potential to grow and become core players. McKay ripped it up in Preseason and was a main part in getting you crucial extra funds for January. You had a decent start to the season too and sit close to the top. You should get promoted this season but if you don't will you stay on?

                    - Evan Davies has returned from loan and was named on the bench

                    - Chamberlain returns from injury to have a place in the starting eleven

                    - The international break has given Exeter’s team some crucial rest and it shows as the high pressing of the ball pays off on the 45th minute. Ward-Prowse manages to intercept a poor pass by Ryan Shawcross and then sprint up the field and into the box where his shot deflects of defender Giancarlo Gonzalez to make sure the ball goes round Butland.

                    - Ward-Prowse shows off some skill by turning a Stoke player on the half way line and sprints at the defence; he flicks a ball over to the right wing where Compton takes a touch before sprinting inside and chances a long range shot which amazingly curls past Butland and into the top corner; it leaves the whole stadium speechless as Compton sprints off to eventually celebrate with the home fans once they had come to grips with the goal!

                    - N’Zonzi manages to break through some poor defending in order to beat Terzi at his near post with a powerful and accurate shot.

                    - At thirty-five, Cristiano Ronaldo still ruled the wings throughout the whole game and he managed to be put through on goal by Gareth Bale in the twenty-fifth minute in order to put Real Madrid in front.

                    - Prata Coelho makes a perfectly good challenge on Ronaldo in the box but a freak decision by the ref gets Real Madrid a penalty which Ronaldo was always going to score.

                    - Romelu Lukaku beats his marker from a Ward-Prowse corner to get one back before half time.

                    - From a throw-in, Saúl is given too much space on the right wing and he’s allowed to take his time and deliver a sublime ball into the box for Une Larsson how heads the ball past De Gea to equalise.

                    - After such a great run of form, Johannes Geis ends up adding the pressure for the English champions as he gets sent off with seven minutes of regular time still to play but Exeter holds out for the draw.

                    - A perfect pass through the defence allows Une Larsson to break free on the left before floating the ball onto the head of substitute Romelu Lukaku whose header budged the back of the net from five yards out. There was nothing the former Exeter City graduate, Glen Mabil could do to stop it.

                    - Well......what can I say? A hat-trick for Gonzalo Higuaín in thirteen minutes says a lot about how we played. Gonzalo ended up getting two more after and also missing a penalty.

                    - Oxlade Chamberlain missed a penalty when we were 3-0 down; maybe the result could have been different if he’d converted it?

                    - After such a poor showing it’s surprising that Johannes Geis gets a shot away let alone it hitting the post. Jerry Mbakogu pounces on the rebound for a consolidation goal.

                    - Substitute defender Vezo passes the ball to Jerry Mbakogu who starts the counter attack. He sprints forward and gives the ball to Lukaku whose shot from outside the box goes through Kurt Zouma’s legs and into the top corner. Not like anyone celebrated though!

                    - A very boring game. There was two chances which was a curled shot by Compton which Costel had to stretch to keep out and a poorly aimed header by Une Larsson from a corner in the last minute; nothing other than that to really to talk about though.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Cruzerr - Good to see you're enjoying things and good to see you back! Stoke is a very exciting team, they're rock solid at the back and Butland is a monster, while having some very enticing attacking options with the likes of Bojan, Shaqiri, and Arnautovic! Looking forward to seeing what you continue to do with this!

Simppu - Seemed like getting rid of Johansson was a good bit of business no doubt, and the signing of Aubameyang will be exactly what you need to push your side to the next level and retain the CL if possible, as he is most certainly world class! Your CL group is winnable as well, so keep it up!

10Cabee - You have fantastic depth throughout your entire side, so it is no doubt that we should see great things from this Exeter squad! Lukaku is an absolute monster and should bang in the goals for you no doubt and hopefully you can qualify out of what looks like a really tough Champions League group!

Keano - Tough start to the season so far, you've been really unlucky in the Europa League, just need to refocus and it's definitely a group that you can get out of.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

@vrabbit - Well firstly, great choice for a career mode! I think I've been gone for so long that i hadn't even had the oppertunity to say that. :P Nice transfers you made there and Elias looks to be banging in the goals for you at the moment which has gained you some points. Your results haven't been the most consistent though but we could probably blame that on the impact the new signings have made on your team cohesion. The Pumas game looks like the pick of the bunch; 5 goals, a red card and a late goal to spice things up a little, im glad you came out with the three points though. Very nice youth academy by the way!

Im curious; this might have been asked before but oh well, what's it like playing in the Mexican leagues compared to the english lower leagues? Is the style of play or tactics you encounter any different from the english leagues?

As for your Newport save, i'd say you're doing comfortable at the moment, it's obviously early days but you'll at least stay up and around the top three all the way till the end of the season me thinks.

@Aquaman - Nice win against West Brom! I reckon you could have scored even more and that Ayew shot off the bar looked so cool! Carles Gil looked like he played quite well against Brighton and his chances were so close until he finally finished in the last minutes of the game! That Ings goal though! That literally was a bullet! Agbonlahor's equaliser was exquisite! The techinque you need for this is just insane! I look forward to seeing more from you!

@Keano - Nice to see a Cardiff career from you, K! I'm glad Whittingham is performing well for you. Hmm, Europa league form is a little upsetting but the quality of teams in your group is quite high but despite this, I would have expected you to win it.

@Moose - You've really made West Ham yours! That set-piece against Leicester was really unfortunate but it's something that no matter what you do, you'll always end up having the ball in the back of your own net. That Dybala free-kick though :O The Aston Villa game was really fun to watch! Aston Villa's corners against you were soo hectic! Can't wait to see our future vids.

@Cruzerr - You're back! I'm sorry to anyone else but i still maintain you are the screenshot master! You've had a good first month although the Norwich game was a little shocking, maybe just a little blip because after that you got two nice-looking victories. This career's going to be a very interesting one to watch! Good luck for the rest of the season.

@Simp - Aubameyang... :O What a satisfying transfer you made there! He's going to fit in really well with the rest of your team I think! I can't wait to start seeing him dominating things up front with Kalou or them two even having to compete for a spot time-to-time! Nice start to the season and I also look forward to seeing that Slaven Radic moving up into the senior squad hopefully soon.

I've been commenting on the last couple of pages; sorry if I missed anyone!

Cheers lad, yeah there is much to build on this team, yet obviously, it still needs quite a bit of work. Thanks for the support!

Paging doctor Indi, Chico and Jamie.

I also think the start was quite well, now we just have to start building on it. I'm happy you like the pictures thread.

You shall see the "excitement bringer" end of this week. Lets get this thread on a roll again!

Oh, and about your own CM: I like the signing of Aubameyang, he is fantastic in FIFA, just the pace and finishing is unlike anybody else. You have quite a difficult group in CL, but as the defending champ, I am sure you can beat them.

Thanks! We just could not perform against Norwich, no idea what happened. Yeah I also believe the photos will look good when more pieces will get add to the whole picture. Thanks for the support!

They have a midfield like none other, but have big Walters and Crouch upfront, hah.

The aim for this season is just to improve and make a push in the top half, Stoke are currently 8th in real life, so if I could contest the top 5, I would be happy.

The Williams trade happened due to him wanting to leave (doesn't that happen like every CM?). I like that you guys are enjoying the pictures section!

@Cabee - Your team is so solid on the paper, my god. I mean, I know I should focus on the positive, but that Chelsea game, wow. Still, there are plenty of tough games there you posted, so it was a solid performance. Just have to build on it and play better.

Question though: Ake playing CDM, how is he there?

I'm so glad I've made such a quality team with so much depth! I try my best to work with what I get because I only get 60% of whatever I make on transfers to put back into the team. Yep, just as I thought I was getting back into the swing of things big Higs scores five against me!

Ake's an interesting one. Naturally, i'm sceptical playing him at CB because of his high attacking work rate and medium defensive work rate. In the games I've tested him in CB he sits higher up the field than his partner which im not particularly fond of. From what I gather, Ake wants to be able to get involved in play and dribble around a bit; putting him in CDM makes the team more solid defensively but I can sometimes find him sprinting forward to provide support on the attack which i like. He has good tackling so he can also be seen putting in some amazing tackles in the middle of the field which usually opens up the counter attack. I feel the CDM role suits him better because his short passing is 84 and his long passing is 75 which is really helpful to utilise when he's a little higher up the pitch.

P.S. Like in the game I'm playing now, he has just won us a penalty after an amazing tackle in the opposition's half before running into the box with the ball and getting tripped.

                              THE VILLAN'S REPORT
As the Premier League is off and running with August and September done, Aston Villa sit comfortable in 11th, having only won 2 matches this season in back to back fashion against Leicester City and West Brom, and honourable draws against Manchester United and Liverpool. Scott Sinclair has been a terrific addition to the Villa creating so much off the Left Wing.

Jordan Ayew has returned to the side in recent weeks after niggling injuries have derailed his Villa debut, fans look to him to replace the prolific Belgian striker Cristian Benteke.
Agbonlahor looks much more settled at the CF position and hopefully the 28 year old can show his worth as rumours suggest the long time Aston Villa fan favourite may be moved on from Villa Park come the next transfer window.
But the shining light of the season so far has been the incredible play from Carlos Sanchez who has been really good for the Villans this season, leading the Villa votes so far.

Villa have much to prove in the upcoming month of October facing Stoke City are currently a few spots below Aston Villa in 14th and will be looking to climb the table, then to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea who haven't been as dominant as there title winning season of 14/15 but are still holding steady in 6th with Costa and Oscar looking good early on in the season. They also face Swansea City who have started there season off really well sitting in 4th, with 4 wins 2 Losses and a draw, and lastly finishing of the month of October facing Everton in the Round of 16 for the Capitol One cup match, Expect Aston Villa to add a few more regular players form their starting 11 against Everton.

Wow, it's been a love fest in here lately and I'm humbled to be included in so many of your comments!

Thanks for the props on the globetrotter choice. The Pumas game was definitely entertaining and I'd say were lucky to escape with the 3 points. I appreciate the love for the academy, I'd say it isn't quite as good as the one over in Newport but it's pretty good all things considered. Playing in Mexico has been a different experience for sure, shorter tourneys make those missed points cost more and the game plays different, it's more open style is the best way I could describe it.

McKay ripped it up in Preseason and was a main part in getting you crucial extra funds for January. You had a decent start to the season too and sit close to the top. You should get promoted this season but if you don't will you stay on?
Thanks, I'm really happy about the 3 additions to the club to go with the talent I'm putting together in the academy. We're getting promoted there's no question about that!

vrabbitt - David Fox sounds like a a great long term prospect!, 15 years old with great agility already, train him up! also £2,900,000 in the transfer budget should let you make a few nice moves next window!
Pretty cool of you to notice one of the lower rated prospects by noticing I get a lot of time to develop him. I just hope he isn't one of those who asks to be promoted before he's ready because a couple of years in the academy would really do him well.

For Newport, the bold is exactly what I tried to do. I have to think they only way they aren't with the club for more than a couple of seasons is if a big offer comes for one of them. And yea in Dorados it's funny that Martin turned down 10+ offers from all over the place and is now scoring consistently for me (spoiler: he hasn't cooled off!)
