Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who plays ahead. What I do is once I'm at the point where I want to update I'll take pics of all the stuff I need to do an update (calendar, table, squad, etc) and continue to play if I want to. Unfortunately I forgot to do that recently in the Dorados CM, so the next update you guys will get will through December with Apertura 2016 having finished

Keano, it didn't hit me until now that you're doing a CM with one of Newport's rival teams, I don't know whether I can leave encouraging comments for you anymore

How many minutes per half do you play? It looks like the clock moves pretty close to regular time. You get some good stats out of that. I'm not really able to do more than 8 per.

There was a part of me hoping Rondon would at least score once against you but good job shutting WBA down and scoring against that good defense. B-squad games can be an adventure but luckily you were able to get a good result with them as well. Finally, Liverpool is a tough match always and Ings was being ridiculous in that first half - I thought you did a good job of managing the game and were rewarded at the end (nice tackle in the end too!)

Oh, and I'd definitely take that Uruguay job. I think I forgot to mention the last time I commented that Australia sounded fun but I really don't know if there's even an Asian Cup to play in and/or qualifiers if not then South America or Europe are definitely the fun international jobs to take IMHO.

Edit: one last thing, you need to speak up when you score and play the background music as right now your voice gets lost in the music and we don't really get your full commentary of the score.

Thanks for watching vrabbit!, good to know people are giving my career a chance & i love the feedback!, I play with 15 minute half, I feel that gives me time to play the game at a nice slow pace if i need to, when I play on 10 minutes halfs I feel like i have to attack every chance I get!, I use Matt10 community sliders, which gives it a realsitc fell and stats... but i don't use the manual passing.

I felt my squad is on par with West Brom, and the B squad has done well to progress this far in the Capitol One cup big challenge in our next game Capitol One cup match which will be against Everton, don't think I can roll out a full B squad anymore!, that will be in next episode!. Liverpool came out firing!, Ings was just unstoppable, that's where the longer quarters worked in my favour 30 minutes in I slowed the tempo, made some subs, then went all out attack at the end and it paid off with a crazy goal from Agbonlahor!.

Haha, I think I have to stick with my home country and take the Australia job!, I won't add the games into the series, ill just mention our wins and losses and if we make the World Cup I might throw a game into the series there!...

yeh I edit through iMovie, so I've noticed when i upload to youtube the audio doesn't quite sit at the levels i have set in iMovie, i'm working on my editing and trying to improve every episode had a lot of great suggestions from a few fellas here at OS!, my commentary i was very nervous about in the beginning, and i wasn't quite sure how the Australian accent would suit football but maybe it's just because i am used to hearing our accent!...I'm far from Moose level quality atm, but he has set the standard for career mode quality as far as I'm concerned..So i have a better microphone on the way hopefully that can help improve commentary also!, I'm also looking into better editing software!...

First transfer window is only and 2 or 3 episodes away, gonna be a great chance to add to my Villa squad!... anyone please feel free to get your suggestions in!, have close too £25million to spend!, there will be a feature article and will be mentioned in the next few episodes!...

What kind of players are you looking to bring in? Let us know and we can suggest some useful and talented blokes. Also, I think you are doing a very good job with the commentary and your Aussie accent doesn't bother me one bit! As long as you're enjoying it, that's all that matters!

Holy mother of God, that loss against Chelsea! I think I have never, ever seen anyone on this thread concede seven goals against any team (I think Sportsfreak didn't concede seven in his crazy game, might be wrong) so congratulations for that achievement, I guess :P Joking aside, that was one horrendous butchering. Other than that you had an average month with a loss to Arsenal and a draw against Sunderland, but at least you managed to get a draw against a good Real Madrid side and a win from the Villa game. Lukaku scored a solid amount of goals in October and the whole squad is looking very good. Also, being third is good, especially since you can still catch Chelsea in first.

                      Spoiler

                      September

                      Premier League
                      Matchday 5
                      Arsenal 0-0 Stoke City

A away game at the Emirates against the leaders, and my own favorite team. An intense battle however, really interesting, as both goalkeepers were on top of their game. Cech had two fantastic saves (an header from Imbula and a 1-on-1 with Diouf). Butland was not worse, as he deflected two shots from Walcott, which both hit the crossbar. A great result against the toughest team in the league (atleast so far, come March and lets talk).

                      Premier League
                      Matchday 6
                      Stoke City 2-2 Leicester City

                      19' Fuchs (Kante)
                      37' Vardy (Inler)
                      62' Afellay
                      78' Mandi (RED)
                      79' Afellay (PEN)
What a game, the spirit in this team is outstanding and huge. Coming back from a 0-2 really shows what kind of a place Britannia is. To be honest, we should have not been there in the first place, we were very poor defensively (especially the two holding midfielders, Whelan-Imbula apperantly is not a good combination). Yet some talent and luck got us back into it.

                      Capital One Cup
                      Round 2
                      Manchester City 0-1 Stoke City

                      88' Ireland (Diouf)

For some reason, both De Bruyne and Lacazette made their debuts in this game. I guess they were saving the big guns for the big trophy. It was a tough game, yet both teams really did not have a lot of chances, most of the action was in the hands on the Man City defense. Still, we somehow broke through in a counter in the end, as the subbed on, quick legs of Diouf beat Kompany. Diouf passed it to Ireland, who slotted it right past Hart. TWo players coming off the bench and being impactful. Question is now, are we now seriously fighting in this cup?

                      Premier League
                      Matchday 7
                      Stoke City 2-0 Bournemouth

                      53' Ireland
                      81' Crouch

A very exciting first half, as both goalkeepers had their hands full. Federici kept us scoring quite a few times, and Butland was very solid aswell, saving 1-on-1 chances against Afobe and Wilson. Our youngster Shenton hit the bar right at the start. Second half however, it was the hero from last game, Ireland, who struck a powerful shot to the top corner, just outside the box. Bournemouth looked defeated after the goal, so Crouch bagged another one, after Federici made a poor save and the ball bounced infront of him. A solid way to end the month.

                      Player of the Month

                      Stephen Ireland

So picture this, transfer season ends, and I get a message next day that Arnautovic is injured for 6 weeks. I was really frustrated with the timing, yet luckily, Ireland has stepped up and performed, winning two games for us at least, and being very impactful in the Leicester game.

Honorable mention(s): Ryan Shawcross, Jack Butland, Ibrahim Affelay

                      Captions of the month
(basically a few pictures from this month)

                      Start of something beautiful?

                      Ireland smashes it against Bournemouth

Here we have another wild Ireland about to score against City

Boys get a little too excited after the equalizer against Leicester

                      Standings

                      My Thoughts

What can I say, it wasn't a bad month at all in the end. Tough draws against two very good teams, unlikely heros stepping up in the form of Afellay and Ireland, and two wins, one over a team who plays with Silva-Agüero-Lacazette-De Bruyne upfront. I am getting used to the team and the way we play, I do however knowledge that we are lacking quite a few pieces, which is why the game against Bournemouth was especially important for me, scouting wise.

Next month does not really have any big games per say, yet I am quite sure the games are going to be difficult against teams in the bottom half of the table (Villa, Newcastle, Watford and Swansea). We need to grab these points, since December will be our hardest month yet, which you shall see soon.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it, any feedback is great!

I think your focus should be a winger, preferably a left-footed one, as well as a another true CDM to pair with Sanchez. I'm guessing you're playing Bacuna as a winger out of need but I think he should be your RB moving Amavi to LB and Richardson to super sub fullback role. Right now you're playing a CB at CDM on the left and I guess you can get away with that but someone who is a better passer (overall midfielder) would best me thinks.

for a winger, check out Nicola Sansone
for a CDM, you might be able to stay within the BPL and snatch Victor Wanyama from Southampton. A cheaper option if you want to bring in a Venezuelan would be Tomas Rincon. He isn't likely to grow into the 80's but he commands that defensive midfield real well.

As of right now, i'm really looking to upgrade the squad in any position, I think Brad Guzan is ok as a goal keeper but could upgrade, I think we need striker depth because Jordan Ayew doesn't have much to rotate with, and most likely a RW Carles Gil and Adama have loads of potential but are very young....i'd ike to strengthen the backs fist I think, and build the house from the foundations up!...

                          Thanks for the positive feedback!

Awesome! I will add them two to the scouting report!, I have my eye on Besic from Everton to pair up with Sanchez but i will look at everything and all the players scouted and see who fits best come January!, I am playing Bacuna up the field a bit, he has done well up on the RW, so would you suggest I run my backs like:

                          CDM- Sanchez CDM- Besic

LB- Amavi CB- Richards CB- Clark RB- Bacuna

Hey everyone. Sorry for not checking in. My dog became very ill a few weeks ago and passed away peacefully on Monday morning after just one day in pain (still too much in my opinion). Her body was just unable to keep up with her beautiful, beautiful soul. Now she's resting and recovering until she's strong enough to find a new, healthy vessel and come back to me. I know a few of you have dogs of your own, and I wanted to share my grief with people who'd understand. It will be a while before I can get interested in life again enough to touch my Xbox, but I'm starting to remember her at her best and happiest, rather than sobbing all the time because she's not here.
