That's a very attacking lineup Sportsfreak! Who's the middle centre back?

Francesco Acerbi is the middle CB and I know it's a very attacking lineup but I wanted to try and make a formation that I'm known for using and with one of my signings being a superstar from my Fifa 15 Betis save I had to make a 4 man Attacking front.

The SBCs aren't worth it, I want to do them but **** me, coin wise they are never worth it. I'd love to get that new Rashford.

I am trying to spark my interest for a Career Mode, but it just isn't happening. How do you guys do it? How do you pick the right team? What team should I pick?

Question for you guys: Does the new corner system seem clunky to you guys? Last year when I moved it to where I wanted it, it actually went there. This year however that's not the case, When I put the marker where I want it it doesn't go anywhere near the marker. Has anyone else had a problem with this or is it just me?

What are you looking for in a career? To battle among the best? Bring a mid-table team to the top? Bring a relegation team into contention? Get a side promoted?

I've recently become addicted to it and that has completely stalled my career mode. I haven't gotten too into the seasons so I am only Division 3, I try to qualify based off the tournaments each week. So far in 3 weeks of attempting I have qualified twice and failed another time. Both times I qualified I finished Gold 3.

On another note, as far as career mode goes I actually did finish my first season at Grimsby. Now the problem is that my last update was from like December. Soooooo I will probably just be posting a summary of the first season and then picking back up with season 2 and get back into the monthly updates.

                FC Anzhi Makhachkala
                The Eagles

                Vrba Named New Anzhi Manager

After returning to the Russian top-flight a season ago, FC Anzhi Makhachkala have hired former Czech Republic manager Pavel Vrba to help the Dagestan side improve on a 13th place effort in 2015-16's campaign. Vrba inherits a club with promise, though nothing like the recent past that featured such names as Samuel Eto'o and Roberto Carlos. That notorious budget has been slashed over the past several years, but there is still enough quality to challenge for a place in Europe, and Anzhi hope Vrba is the man to bring them there again.

                      Season Recap

The best way to describe this season would be that it was one of inconsistency. Despite that all, we fought our way all the way up to 2nd in the table, and had a chance at the title before falling short down the stretch. We came out of the gates firing on all cylinders at the start of the season and announced ourselves to the rest of the league. Leading up to Christmas though we began to falter and our goal scoring all but dried up leaving us desperate for some changes. The January transfer window came and we made the controversial decision to sell off Vernon who was our leading goal scorer so far through the season and switch from a two striker formation to a 4-3-3. We used the window to bring in a capable left winger in Osayi-Samuel and moved a few players out of their comfort zone and asked them to do something different. Jackson moved from a central role to out wide and Vose moved from an outside position to an attacking midfield role. The changes saw the momentum start to shift and we improved in January, only to fade back to old ways in February. March then came and that was when things finally clicked and we saw out an undefeated month to vault ourselves to the top of the table. In April we fell short though and gave the top spot back to Portsmouth as we settled for a second place finish. It's hard to argue with an automatic promotion for a team who was new to the league, but you certainly get the feeling that we could have done so much more. The direction of the team has been established though and the 4-3-3 looks like it will be our formation of choice going forward. This summer gives us the chance to tweak the team to really fit what we are trying to do, and it will allow us to go into the third division next season and try to make our mark once again.

                        waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overdue

SMH - I'm excited to see another Russian career from you! The team looks like a good choice too and I like that you want to stick with the actual rules of the league regarding roster make up as well. I'm interested in following along with how you do on all of the objective the board set for you.

Sportsfeak - I didn't vote for Sassuolo, but I do like that choice. They have a few decent players, especially Berardi who I think should be a beast for you. That formation you have created is some kind of Frankenstein creating, and I love it! I really want to see how it plays in game and if it is effective or not. Would love to get some details on what kind of instructions you set for that kind of thing.

Keano - Schalke are one of the clubs that is full of players that I really like to play with. Goretzka and Konoplyanka in particular are unbelievable in the experience I have had with them. Also, Choupo-Moting always seems to score against me if I play against Schalke so hopefully he doesn't end up terrorizing you if you ever play against Celta Viga in any type of European play. Love the Semedo signing as well, the guy is a beast.

Indi - I always get excited for your career modes and the story type feel that you combine with your updates. Looking forward to more.

vrabbit - Twente: I'm really far behind as far as comments go so I will just talk about your season in general. You've done an unbelievable job in taking that next step up in this season with Twente and your separation at the top of the table is proof of that. Your signings have been spot on so far and are paying dividends. But what is most impressive to me is the work you have done in the Champions League so far. I'm hoping you can make a big run in there, but it certainly won't be easy.

Newport: You are certainly showing the French players some love in your starting XI it appears! A lot of draws have left plenty of points out there for you and that is pretty much what is separating you from Tottenham at the top. With a whole other half of the season left though you've got a chance to make that up. Seeing Ambrose go is surprising, but bringing in Embolo is unbelievable. That guy is a monster and I think he will score plenty of goals for you down the stretch.

10cabee - Love the youth set up, especially since the academy is a big part of every career for me. I think it's an awesome idea and I hope that you stick with it and make some real progress.

Simppu - It's not a career mode thread if I don't get to see Simp taking Hertha to the top. You are one of the best on this thread in working the transfer market and the way you build your teams is impressive in how strong you can make them and knowing when to sell guys at their maximum value. Your group for the Champions League is a little tough, but that makes it that much more interesting to see how you can handle it.

                          August

It is a new season for the Watford boys, and it is promised to be an exciting one. With a couple of new additions to the team and a new manager, it honestly will shape up to be a huge season for the Hornets.

The first game of the season was against Southampton, away from home. And honestly, there were two different teams on the pitch. Southampton looked wonderful and kept pressuring on early, and managed to break through at half-time, with Clasie slotting one past Gomes. Saints held on to the lead and bagged the three points, leaving Watford fans questioning whether or not Cruzerr was the right choice of managers.

We looked horrible, literally had no chances and they were all over us.

Second game was at home, the mighty Vicarage Road, against Chelsea. The Blues took the early lead, with Willian getting through the defense and playing a through-ball towards Matic, who slid and got to it to take the lead. The Golden Boys had a difficult time, yet managed to score a goal, with some good passing play leading to Deeney forcing himself past the defense and sliding the ball past Begovic. A big point against a huge team.

After this game, I decided to complete one of the goals of signing a midfielder - Salif Sane, the 25 year old CDM from Hannover. A strong player to the already strong midfield, to give more height and strength to the midfield, giving Pereyra more freedom. A £10 million bid, £45k a week contract, and he signed right after this game. Joined the team after this game, got on the bench to debut against Arsenal.

Next game was an EFL Cup, giving some of our younger players chances, like Kenedy and Success. I was convinced of this game being a lot easier, yet not going to lie, what a difficult game. They kept going at us constantly, we were really dealing with their attack most of the time. The game went to extra time, and there, two subs made the difference: Odion Ighalo and Roberto Pereyra. Two goals at extra-time was enough for us to advance!

Last game of the month - Arsenal. And my god, nobody expected what was going to happen. First half was tight, neither team got a ton of chances, since Arsenal played their possession football and Watford held on defensively. Second half, Watford took over, and when I mean took over, I mean took the game by the balls. Ighalo scored a hat-trick and Doucoure added one aswell, as the Gunners looked completely teethless. First win for the boys in the Premier League!

                          In short:

                            Season 2

                            The Mariners

                            Pre-Season and Transfer Window

                            Transfer Budget: £2,000,000
                            Wage Budget: £9,000

After a successful first season in the EFL we were rewarded with a sizeable transfer budget in which to build with. The first priority on our list though was that we decided to pick up a pre-season invitational this year. It is always tough to decide whether to participate in these considering the travel costs, but this one was made easy when we were offered a tournament that took place here in England. So we entered the EA Champions Trophy against fellow English clubs Fleetwood, Plymouth, Carlisle, and Blackpool.

We went through the intial round robin taking 2 wins and 2 draws and it was enough to advance to the final against Carlisle. In the final we played a close match but came through with the narrow win and that left us with a sizeable chunk added into the transfer kitty for us to play around with before the season started off.

                            EA Champions Trophy

                            D 2-2 vs Plymouth
                            D 1-1 vs Carlisle
                            W 2-1 vs Blackpool
                            W 1-0 vs Carlisle

SMH - I'm excited to see another Russian career from you! The team looks like a good choice too and I like that you want to stick with the actual rules of the league regarding roster make up as well. I'm interested in following along with how you do on all of the objective the board set for you.
Thanks. I've tried to get several Russian careers off the ground, but I think this is the one. Also, going to do like rabbit and run another career in Ligue 2 with Chamois Niortais. Should have an update for that soon.

Likewise, about being overdue for comments. I'll be dropping some probably tomorrow for all these great careers!

I'll be streaming the CM on Twitch tomorrow and I'll be showing all the tactical stuff I'll pm my Twitch to whoever wants to watch tomorrow at 1pm CST/2pm EST
