Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
I'm 15 at the moment and will be 16 in January. As long as my results are good my parents are fine with me playing a bit of FIFA.
I'll be waiting!

September 2019 - Season 7
FIFA '14 (PS3)
A solid set of results there! Keep it up!

We continue to put together perhaps the greatest season in club history, moving the semi finals of the F.A. Cup as well as being in a prime position to achieve direct promotion to the BPL with just one month more left in the season. Admittedly losing to Liverpool in quarter finals of the F.A. Cup could had been a blessing in disguise as it may have allowed us to focus on finishing strong in the league and achieved what we have fought so hard for but at the same time we're really excited about the opportunities ahead and want to compete at the highest level in each and every game. The only thing better than earning promotion to the BPL would be a spot in next season's Europa League to go with said promotion. Undoubtedly April will be tough with games alternating between 2 and 3 days of rest, 9 games in total which include the semi final against Chelsea.
Our academy took a bit of a hit this past month as our two best prospects requested to be promoted, a request we granted. Here is our youth squad:
* Denotes recent addition to the academy.
Memnos Zindilis (RW, 59 OVR) and Raffaele Molinaro (CM, 62) have been promoted to the senior squad. In Zindilis scenario our team scouts don't even project him to be a high-level player even though the youth scouts reported he had potential to reach the mid 80's. Molinaro, on the other hand, is described as someone who is Showing Great Potential. Both players are candidates to be loaned next season.
My current roster:
Other than that it was yet another month with work for Paez in World Cup qualifiers ...

2018 World Cup - CONMEBOL QUALIFIERS
Venezuela - Uruguay (3-0)
Morozo 18'
Vargas 53'
Rosales 59'
Recap: the Vinotinto shocked the table leaders with an unquestionable victory in home soil that delighted fans and coach alike, showing a glimpse of what this team is capable of when clicking on all cylinders. Uruguay certainly had their opportunities but were unable to put their weight on the scoreboard, allowing Venezuela to collect a VERY important victory, especially after failing to win a game last month.
Venezuela - Chile (5-1)
Pena 9'
Vallejo 12'
E. Vargas 23'
Vargas 34'
S. Rondon 67'
L. Gonzalez 84'
Recap: Paez put in early work for coach of the year by getting his lads to absolutely dominate a Chilean squad that is talented and desperate for points. It was a beating noted across the world as Venezuela put themselves in a very good position to qualify to the World Cup for the first time ever. After the game there were block parties all across the country celebrating the team's amazing run in this two-game set as fans can almost smell the scents of Russia.
CONMEBOL WC Qualifiers Standings
1. Uruguay - 29pts
2. Brazil - 27pts
3. Venezuela - 24pts
4. Argentina - 22pts
5. Chile - 20pts
6. Colombia - 20pts
7. Ecuador - 19pts
8. Paraguay - 13pts
9. Peru - 12pts
10. Bolivia - 9pts
24 points with 4 games left, 3 of them against bottom-placed teams like Ecuador, Bolivia, and Paraguay (the other game with Colombia). Ideally I hoped to at least finish in 5th place and get into a playoff game against an Asian team but at this point it'd be a disappointment to not finish in the top four and earned directly qualifying to Russia '18. However, there won't be any more qualifiers for a few months so we'll have to wait (hopefully we don't lose form).
The next time you read this update hopefully you'll find out whether I achieved promotion to the BPL and how we fared in the final stages of the F.A. Cup!
Nice results!
You'll get promoted no bother! Good luck with WC qualification too!

March 2018
Congratulations on winning the League so early and by some many points! The Champions League will be yours soon too!
Good start! You'll enjoy League 2, just go easy on Wycombe! Haha. Great find with Kuhl too! I'm sure he'll be a beast for you in the future! Good luck!
I would have posted a Hertha update earlier today but the forum is weird and I can't post pictures, change fonts and do all the other fancy stuff I usually do. That's why I won't post the update today and I'll wait for tomorrow to see what will the situation be. I don't think the problem is on my computer because the forum is weird on my phone, too. Sorry for that, guys. I'm liking all the updates, keep them coming! It's cool to see so many great careers going on here. I would like to ask you a question I just thought about a minute ago. If you have a girlfriend/wife how does she feel about you playing so much FIFA? I have another question: How old is everyone here? I feel like this was asked a couple of months ago. From what I know there is some age difference here and the way career mode connects us is nice. Edit: Sorry for the text being unclear, the enter button doesn't work in this forum for me right now. I don't know if it's just me but non of my devices can load the thread normally.

First of all, sorry for the lack of updates. They will be back within a month. Sorry! I'm currently in exam period and when I have free time off revision, I've been playing The Last of Us. It's just a lot more enjoyable to me than FIFA and I've got into the online aspect of the game and its great. I've met people from around the world, Scotland, US, Israel, Germany and Morocco and have been playing with them talking with my headset. Hurry up and get it Chico, and a headset while you're at it. I wanna play it with you
Also, I am 15 and single

Spoiler
Capital One Cup - Round 2
AFC Wimbledon 5 - 2 Huddersfield Town
WIM: Clayton 4' 62' Harvey 21' Mannus 24' Thompson 75'
HUD: Wallace 9' Charles 90'
The defending champions put in a remarkable performance showing that they mean business. The Wimbledon B team have scored 10 goals in just 2 games, with Michael Thompson scoring his first official goal for AFC Wimbledon. A hell of a match, but Wimbledon will now have to face Liverpool in the next round with two days rest after facing them in the league as well.
AFC Wimbledon 2 - 1 Arsenal
WIM: James 8' Eaves 45'
ARS: Özil 16'
Chavez went back to the 4-2-2-2 with the first team and it paid off, showing major improvements. With all the speculation surrounding him, Tom Eaves looked desperate for a goal and the frustration was clear after any shot that didn't go into the net. Luke James opened the scoreline with a beautiful shot into the top right corner, but Mezut Özil equalized soon after. AFC Wimbledon kept pushing for their 2nd goal but if it wasn't Szczęsny blocking the shots it was the post. Before the end of the first half Eaves was able to score his 2nd goal of the season ridding himself of all the pressure surrounding him for at least one more match. Richard Odhlambo is becoming an important player for Wimbledon as this season he has been showing off in midfield. The English youth graduate shows great ball control and dribbling, but also has a great touch when passing.
Champions League - Group Stage
AEK Athens 1 - 4 AFC Wimbledon
WIM: Clayton 4' 36' 85' Thompson 54'
AEK: Correa 34'
The Wimbledon B team were so close to scoring 5 goals in 3 consecutive matches but were just one goal away! Nevertheless, the team is showing dominant attacking power and have 14 goals in 3 matches so far. The B team is looking less like "the weaker side" with each showing. Tyler Harvey was very well marked tonight and the Greeks didn't leave him any spaces knowing that this is a man that can control the midfield and score goals as well. However, Max Clayton was still able to score a hat-trick and Michael Thompson scored his second official Wimbledon goal. The young Northern Irish is now not only assisting the goals, but also becoming a goal scorer himself. The next match for the Wimbledon B team will be against Liverpool in the Capital One Cup. With the football this team has been playing, fans are really looking forward to seeing how much damage they can do against a tough side like Liverpool.
Liverpool 1 - 2 AFC Wimbledon
WIM: Eaves 43' Harvey 90'
LIV: Banega 45'
A very tight, back-and-forth match with Wimbledon just barely taking the win. Fans will be happy to see Tom Eaves score again and he was actually really close to a second goal at approximately the 60th minute. Eaves cut into the box from the right losing his mark and was clear for a shot. Despite having two teammates wide open in the box calling for the ball he decided to take the shot himself. The shot was low and powerful, went past the Liverpool goalkeeper Ruffier and was headed straight to the bottom corner but Martin Kelly appeared out of nowhere and blocked the shot from the goal line! A few minutes later, worried faces took over the Wimbledon fans as Richard Odhlambo went down in midfield and didn't get back up. The young midfielder had to be taken off the pitch holding his shoulder and Tyler Harvey came in as his sub. We are currently awaiting the official medical report. Right before the final whistle Wimbledon were given a corner which Tom Eaves rose into the air and headed the ball towards the net looking for the last minute goal. Ruffier parried it but sent the ball back into the air! With all the confusion in a crowded box, it was Tyler Harvey who was able to get to the aerial ball first and headed it past Ruffier into the net!
INJURY NEWS
Richard Odhlambo was evaluated by the Wimbledon medical staff and it was confirmed that the youth graduate will be out for 8 weeks with a Dislocated Shoulder. The player expected to take his place in midfield as LDM is Tyler Harvey. Harvey will be leaving his place as CAM with the B team which might be taken by youth graduate Shaun Vincent in the meantime. Vincent was a regular starter in Chavez's 3-5-2, but his form fell significantly when the change to 4-2-2-2 was made. This will be his opportunity to get some playing time back and even better it will be in his natural CAM position.
Capital One Cup - Round 3
Liverpool 1 - 2 AFC Wimbledon
LIV: Wickham 42'
WIM: Thompson 89' Mannus 95'
Liverpool dominated the Wimbledon B team and were extremely close to eliminating them but youth graduate Thompson sent the match to extra time and then youth graduate Mannus scored the winner for Wimbledon. The B team had been playing exciting football, but losing Harvey to the first team not only slowed them down but also made them less dangerous. Shaun Vincent was not able to influence the game and neither was Diego Ortiz, both youth players frequently swapped positions trying to change their game but both were ineffective in the entire match. Nevertheless, Wimbledon are through to the next round!
AFC Wimbledon 0 - 3 Manchester United
MUN: Schar 30' Fellaini 44' Schar PEN 55'
Wimbledon's first match without Richard Odhlambo on the field was a disastrous one. Tyler Harvey was unable to get on the same page with Mario Ruiz and the Wimbledon midfield was weak. To make things worse, Tom Eaves had to leave the match with an ankle injury shortly before the first Manchester goal. Max Clayton came on to replace him on the field but was invisible the entire match. Things went from bad to worse very quickly for AFC Wimbledon. Not much else to say, as the scoreline shows everything.

Injuries
• Richard Odhlambo CM (77 OVR 19yrs) out for 8 weeks with Dislocated Shoulder
• Tom Eaves ST (70 OVR 27yrs) out for 4 weeks with Sprained Ankle
• AFC Wimbledon have usually been lucky when it came to injuries, as they hardly had to deal with any. Scotland on the other hand, when Chavez managed them, were the ones that suffered injuries more frequently. Now that Chavez no longer manages Scotland, the injury bug seems to have hopped from the Scotland team to Wimbledon. It may be only two players out with injuries, however they are two very important players. Changes will have to be made to the lineups, and only time will tell how those changes will impact the team's results.
Gornell scores first UCL Goal with Celtic
Gornell is still scoring even though it he isn't doing it with the Wimbledon jersey anymore. In Celtic's most recent Champions League match against Napoli, it was Terry Gornell who scored the only goal of the match and gave his new club Celtic the win.
Youth Graduate Contemplates Leaving
Wimbledon youth graduate Mario Ruiz has denied a contract extension from Wimbledon, and is considering leaving the club. The Mexican midfielder has been with the club since 2014 and promoted in 2015, but is now wondering what it would be like to play elsewhere. Arsenal are said to be interested in making an offer for him, but Chavez wants to keep him at the club.
That's all for now. Almost done with October, just need to type it up.

Spoiler
Ben McGovern - CDM (63-67, 88-94): Only 16 years old, the Northern Irish midfielder looks very promising. Ideally the club wants him to stay in the academy for one more year. Hopefully he doesn't demand a call up anytime soon.
Chris McGinn - CDM (66-70, 87-93): The 17 year old from Northern Ireland has finally chosen CDM as his position of choice. He's considered to be physically strong, but may not be promoted until next year.
Jamie Mannus - CDM (63-67, 82-88): This 17 year old from Northern Ireland has a bright future ahead of him. He stands at 6'5" and prefers playing as a defensive midfielder. Competition between him and Sean Archer in the U-17 is very close, with Mannus being more defensive minded. We expect great things from these two players.
Kyle Clarkson - LW (59-63, 80-86): Recently added to the academy so still being analyzed. The English winger is only 5'8" at age 15.
Mal Osborn - RB (58-62, 80-86): One of the only fullbacks in the U-17 that isn't defensive minded. The English winger is only 15 years old and can't be registered with the senior team until next season, but he's already one of the fastest players in the academy.
Sean Archer - CDM (65-69, 85-91): The 17 year old from Scotland is an incredible playmaker who prefers to stay in the defensive half and analyze the game from there. He's one of the most exciting players in the U-17 but he will not be registered with the senior squad until next season.
Steven Ross - CDM (63-67, 80-86): Defensive minded midfielder from Scotland. Recently turned 16 but won't be considered for promotion until next season.
Todd Zebroski - CDM (62-66, 80-86): 16 year old playmaker from England. Definitely one to keep an eye on but can't be promoted until next season.
Tyrone Kedwell - CM (56-60, 77-83): I'm not gonna lie I signed him immediately because of his last name - Kedwell. Could he become a club legend like Danny Kedwell? I sure hope he can live up to the name.

March Update
League Match 34
Dagenham - Leeds United (1-2)
Park Gi Dong 25'
Vilna 31'
Mason 50'
Recap: In what was really the first game all season with a full B squad we were unable to get any points in a game that we actually dominated for the most part. So even though we loss I was really impressed with the young lads and more open to giving them playing time in the future.
League Match 35
Watford - Dagenham (1-4)
Nimely 19'
Battocchio 34'
Sarr 49'
Reyna 71'
Valencia 76'
Recap: Our starters bounced back from the previous loss with a convincing win, though it took some time for the Daggers to establish their dominance. I have to check and will make a note on this on the roster review at the end of the season but Valencia may have score more goals this season (as a sub) than in either of his seasons as a starter.
League Match 36
Dagenham - QPR (1-0)
Reyna 56'
Recap: Playing against the absolute best team in the league (leader by 9 points) we once again beat QPR to sweep the season series. It was a game that we dominated in a way we didn't think we would, out-shooting the visitors 12-1 with 9 of our shots being on goal and dominating possession 63% of the time.
F.A. Cup - Quarter Finals
Liverpool - Dagenham (1-1)
Sarr 40'
suso 61'
Recap: We went into Anfield and showed all of England that we're for real, trading punches with The Reds and even putting a big scare on them when Sarr tracked a ball off the head of Wilkinson from a corner kick and pushed it to the back of the goal for the halftime lead. Liverpool never gave up on attack and eventually equalized the game nearly halfway through the second half. The draw means the teams will play again, this time in East London.
League Match 37
Blackpool - Dagenham (1-1)
Ojamaa 72'
Collins 89'
Recap: Exhausted after just two days of rest following a demanding game at Liverpool the starters struggled to make many plays as they visited this mid-table team, and for a moment there it looked like another defeat was coming, but Collins became the team's hero once again, scoring just before the end to give Dagenham a point.
League Match 38
Dagenham - Birmingham City (2-1)
Nova 19'

F.A. Cup - Quarter Finals (REPLAY)
Dagenham - Liverpool (2-1)

Recap: The Daggers shocked the nation by easily handled BPL standouts Liverpool in a game where the visitors were never really in control and were only able to score out of desperation near the end. This was perhaps Dagenham's most impressive victory in club history. They will need to repeat this effort as their next opponent is another BPl giant: Chelsea

- Jorge Gavilan (LB, 36-38, 75-81): 16-year old from Argentina who has settled at LB as we had hoped since we don't have a true replacement for Ilesanmi at this time.
- Jomar Sadami (RW, 58-62, 75-81): 16-year old from Ghana is starting to settle into his development. He projects as a wing midfielder in our scheme.
- Orester Senteildis (LW, 46-48, 73-79): 17-year old from Greece who is still being developed and may need to be promoted sooner than he's ready due to his age.
- David Antonio (CM, 54-58, 73-79): 17-year old from England who doesn't project as much more than a role player for us down the line.
- Brian Donaldson (CAM, 53-57, 73-79): 16-year old from England who is attack minded and could be utilized as a striker. Best suited to stay in the academy for now.
- Magnus Gerndt (RW, 45-47, 72-78): 15-year old prospect from Sweden now settled at a position. Youngest player in the academy.
- Francisco Anibal (LM, 58-62, 72-76): 17-year old from Portugal who has spent a good amount of time in our academy and will be promoted after this season.
- Enric Tinlea (CM, 51-55, 71-75): 16-year old from Romania described as a playmaker even though he projects more as a bench player for us.

Cup!

Champions League Round of 16
Hertha BSC (5) 4 - 0 (0) Lille
Suarez 14', Calhanoglu 36', 39', 74'
After a rather disappointing 1-0 win in the first leg Hertha went out to the grass of the Olympiastadion and they showed the real power of the team, netting four past Enyeama in goal. Luis Suarez got the first one in the 14th minute when he cut in from the left to shoot the ball across the goal in the top right corner. Hakan Calhanoglu scored the second twenty minutes later with a beautiful free kick from the edge of the box. The Turkish midfield maestro got his brace only three minutes later when the home team got the ball after a mistake which lead to a counter attack. Calhanoglu then finished his hattrick in the 74th minute by dribbling into the box and shooting the ball to the bottom left corner.

Champions League Quarter Final
Valencia CF 0 - 4 Hertha BSC
Suarez 17' pen, 87', 90', Calhanoglu 37'
After hammering the French side Lille 5-0 on aggregate Hertha BSC took on Valencia in the quarter finals. The first fifteen minutes Valencia controlled the game but after that it was all about the Berliners. The turning point was the 17th minute when Suarez got taken down in the box and the resulted penalty was scored. Twenty minutes later Marco Reus sprinted from the left wing in the box and played a pass to Hakan Calhanoglu who was unmarked. Calhanoglu took a first time shot which found its way to the top left corner of the net. The third goal was scored fifty minutes. Alexis Sanchez's and Nemanja Matic's shots were deflected but Luis Suarez reached the parried shot and tapped the ball into the net. He then finished his hattrick in stoppage time from a counter attack to increase the lead to four goals. Going into the second league Valencia had almost no chance at all.

Player of the Month

Hakan Calhanoglu
Hakan Calhanoglu didn't score the biggest amount of goals this month but all of his goals were important and they showcased the huge talent of the attacking midfielder. Calhanoglu doesn't only assist and pass the ball, he also scores a lot. His great positioning, passing, movement and his amazing free kicks make him a great player.

Congratulations on winning the league title so early! It must feel amazing.
Yes, you're right. Like I have mentioned many times it's impossible to describe the feeling of winning a trophy. Even though we haven't received the trophy yet I can tell you that everyone at the club is really happy and joyful because of our achievements in the last couple years. We are becoming better and better every season.
The standings are interesting at the moment. The sixth team is only five points away from the team in second and the sixth team happens to be the mighty Bayern. What does the change in the league mean?
I'm not an expert on football but in my professional managing opinion, which by the way is always the right opinion, it means the league is very competitive and everything can happen to any team at any time. Just look at HSV falling by twelve spots from last season and the giant of the last years Bayern München fighting for a Champions League spot. Bundesliga is a very underrated league and like I have said before it's great that there are smaller teams challenging the bigger ones.
You were disappointed in your result from the first leg of the Champions League match-up against Lille. What can you say about the second leg?
The second leg was exactly how I wanted it to be. We played an amazing game of football and the win was completely deserved. Lille isn't a big team and it's unacceptable to beat them by just a one goal. I'm glad our boys were motivated and hungry for a big victory.
Speaking of big victories, you beat Valencia by four goals, too. Do you think you have qualified to the semi finals?
Yes, I do. We saw how good they were in that game. They were alright in the first ten minutes but right after that they weren't able to do anything. The game was another great performance by us and I think there is nothing to worry about in the second leg. We want to crush them in that game, too.
Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

Southend 1-2 Mallorca
Orebro 1-3 Southend
Southend 6-0 Frosinone
We had a very good preseason. Despite losing the first match to Mallorca, we came back strong in the second before obliterating the Italian visitors in the third. I've found what is shaping up to be my starting lineup, with a 4-3-3 holding proving to be the way forward. Unfortunately, Weston is out for six weeks with a sprained ankle, which gives Spence a chance to lay claim to that LW spot.

L2: Southend 2-1 Shrewsbury
CO: Southend 1-0 MK Dons
L2: Luton 0-2 Southend
L2: Southend 0-0 York
L2: Northampton 1-1 Southend
JP: Portsmouth 1-3 Southend
L2: Southend 3-1 Wimbledon
We had a cracking first month of competitive matches. In the league, we are undefeated after five matches, with three wins and a pair of draws. We have also kept clean sheets in two of those five games, so the job is getting done defensively as well. All this means we are third on the table with 11 points, with only Oxford and Cheltenham ahead of us – Terry Gornell was named player of the month for his five league goals, a figure matched by our very own Barry Corr.
It was bittersweet beating Wimbledon, but I don't think Chavez will hold any grudges, as I managed to knock MK Dons out of the Capital One Cup. This sets us up for a very tough trip to Middlesbrough in the next round. As for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy match, Portsmouth knocked themselves out considering two of our three goals were scored by their players. We will now face Rochdale in our next fixture in that competition.
Spence has been incredible, and it doesn't even feel like I've been playing with someone rather in the mid-50s. This kid is fast, he's got good ball skills for this level of football, and he doesn't seem to run out of stamina. Since I have the funds, I think I might cut his loan short in January and just buy him outright. The other player of note is Lampe, a Bolivian goalkeeper I signed as a free agent. Thanks to Birmingham City, I could afford to pay his wages of £6k, which dwarfs anything anyone else makes.
Academy
Our English scouts, Matt Jones and Bradley Young, have already begun their task of searching for new talent. Jones has been asked to remain in England to search for physically gifted youngsters, while Young has been asked to look for playmakers in Japan. Both have just one star each in experience and judgement, so I don't expect to find the next Totti.
Alfie Kuhl (England/17)
OVR 45-59 | POT 75-94
When we first came across Kuhl on Jones' first report, it was a real surprise, so it should not come as one that I immediately authorised his signing. We haven't narrowed down his best position, but there's no doubt that he looks to be a midfielder – a damn good one. It feels like he'd be an ideal candidate for promotion in the summer of 2015, but let's see what happens.
