Finally got to watch this one! Haha! Very unlucky to draw with Palace, what on earth was Adrian doing!?!? Not many chances in the Chelsea game. But at least you didn't lose against Chelsea. Looking forward to the next one!

      Ha Ho He

      2017-18 Squad Review

      Starting XI

GK: Thibaut Courtois, 26 Years Old, 87 Ovr, 9.5/10
16 clean sheets in 23 appearances

The young Belgian keeper joined us for €40 million to replace Salvatore Sirigu in January and he succeeded in that brilliantly. Courtois let in goals in only seven games since joining the club. He made a lot of amazing saves and kept the team in many games. A great last line of defence who will not get sold unless a giant offer comes in.

RB: Serge Aurier, 25 Years Old, 84 Ovr, 7.5/10
      3 assists in 17 appearances

Another player who arrived in January to replace someone, in this case that someone being Mattia de Sciglio, but this man didn't do nearly as well as Courtois. Aurier was average in defence, letting a lot of players go through his wing. In attack he wasn't great, either. A big disappointing. May get sold.

CB: Fabian Schär, 26 Years Old, 83 Ovr, 8/10
      31 appearances

Schär was the supporting pillar of the defence in every season except for this one. This season he looked completely different. The captain of the team wasn't solid in defence and his marking wasn't good. At the end Schär lost his place in the starting eleven to Aymeric Laporte. Will probably get benched.

CB: Mats Hummels, 29 Years Old, 88 Ovr, 9/10
      1 goal in 35 appearances

The best defender of this season hands down. Hummels joined from Dortmund on a free transfer in the summer and he took the starting spot and made it his. When he was injured the defence was worse and when he came back it became better. A rock solid defender who is dangerous in corner kicks. He even got the captain's armband when Schär was underperforming. Won't get sold.

LB: Jose Gaya, 23 Years Old, 82 Ovr, 8/10
      5 assists in 39 appearances

This pacy and attacking minded Spanish wingback had a drop in form but he performed well this season. Offensively he was good, passing and crossing the ball a bit and getting an assist in the Champions League final. Defensively he was really bad. He was always caught out of position which lead to Marco Reus covering him and he didn't feel fast at all. His future is unclear.

CDM: Nemanja Matic, 29 Years Old, 85 Ovr, 9/10
1 goal and 1 assist in 20 appearances

Hertha Berlin had some big problems with their defensive midfielders in the past three years. Those problems ended in January thanks to the arrival of Nemanja Matic. The Serb took the starting spot straight away and he was really important for the team. He was really good defensively, tackling and marking really well and he passed well. Most importantly, he stayed in his role as a holding midfielder and he didn't attack too much. Sadly got injured but won't get sold.

CDM: Toni Kroos, 28 Years Old, 86 Ovr, 9/10
3 goals and 7 assists in 41 appearances

Toni Kroos continues to boss the midfield from his place as an attacking minded holding midfielder. Once again the German player passed very well and he was good defensively. He also created ten goals which isn't too bad for a more defensive player. Continues to be the silent star of the team and he just started growing in stats. Won't get replaced.

RM: Alexis Sanchez, 29 Years Old, 87 Ovr, 8.5/10
14 goals and 3 assists in 44 appearances

This attacker played good football in the months after his arrival but he didn't score too many goals. This season the Chilean improved that which made him a real threat in attack. He decided some matches with his pace, dribbling and goalscoring abilities. Won't get replaced.

CAM: Hakan Calhanoglu, 24 Years Old, 88 Ovr, 9/10
17 goals and 14 assists in 41 appearances

The attacking midfielder who goes by the name of Hakan Calhanoglu returned to the club which made him a star in January. Since then he was great in attack and he created a lot of really impressive goals, including a few free kicks and some long range goals. He is a good dribbler and he has a powerful shot on him what makes him a really good player. Won't get replaced.

LM: Marco Reus, 29 Years Old, 89 Ovr, 9/10
12 goals and 9 assists in 41 appearances

The second ex-Dortmund player of the team who also arrived in the summer for free. He started the season slowly but after that Reus became a good winger with a good shot. He managed to get 12 goals to his name and he assisted nine more. Won't get replaced unless for a big amount of money.

ST: Luis Suarez, 31 Years Old, 91 Ovr, 9.5/10
36 goals and 14 assists in 44 appearances

The main goal scorer of the team this season was the Uruguayan super star Luis Suarez. The striker scored a huge amount of 36 goals and he also assisted 14 goals. He would've gotten a perfect rating but he also missed some easy chances. Sadly for us he is old and starting to decrease in stats. Future not sure.

      Notable Substitutes

RW: Juan Manuel Iturbe, 25 Years Old, 84 Ovr, 8/10
      3 goals in 21 appearances

Domenico Berardi's replacement on the bench. Iturbe didn't score that many goals but considering his low amount of playing minutes he was a good player. He is really pacy and skillful and he can shoot the ball well. Sadly he didn't go up in stats.

CM: Alen Halilovic, 22 Years Old, 82 Ovr, 8/10
2 goals and 4 assists in 26 appearances

Our second-choice midfielder after Toni Kroos got a lot of minutes off the bench and he played the last couple games of the season when Nemanja Matic was injured. The young Croatian super talent did well and his only negatives are his poor stamina and terrible strength.

CB: Aymeric Laporte, 24 Years Old, 83 Ovr, 8.5/10
      1 assist in 12 appearances

Laporte arrived in the winter transfer window and he was a really good player. In the beginning he was meant to be a substitute but after some great performances he took the starting spot from Fabian Schär. Sadly he didn't grow in stats but I have high hopes for him.

CDM: Junior Malanda, 23 Years Old, 81 Ovr, 6/10
      3 assists in 25 appearances

The third or fourth player of this career who is suffering from the Rode syndrome. If you don't remember what that is, it's when a defensive midfielder starts the season greatly but suddenly he becomes terrible. He doesn't defend, he attacks way too much and he simply sucks. I was hoping Malanda wouldn't start suffering from it but sadly I was wrong. Will get either sold or will remain as the third-choice defensive midfielder.

This can be a little spoiler but I mentioned that this player can be sold. Vote, please! I'm interested in hearing your opinion! The transfers may or may not have been already made.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

I know I said within a month, but that will not be the case. I don't want to put time and dedication into a career when I might get a PS4 for Christmas. If I don't I will continue, if I do, I have grand plans for a Career some of you might be familiar with.

          FIFA 15 | PS4 | Season 1 | 2014-15

          October

          L2: Southend 2-0 Mansfield
          JP: Southend 1-0 Rochdale
          L2: Southend 1-1 Morecambe
          L2: Stevenage 0-2 Southend
          L2: Southend 1-0 Newport
          L2: Cheltenham 1-1 Southend
          CO: QPR 4-2 Southend

We enjoyed a good month in the league with significant wins over Mansfield and Newport, while we also did the business in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy against Rochdale, who are a division above us. October ended poorly, as we crashed out of the Capital One Cup to a team that had us on the ropes for much of the game. We went down 2-0 before halftime, but we clawed back in the second period to force extra time. Unfortunately, we conceded while seeking the winner before being hit for a fourth almost immediately, so we now look forward to the FA Cup.

          November

          L2: Southend 4-1 Hartlepool
          L2: Cambridge 1-2 Southend
          JP: Burton 2-2 Southend
          L2: Southend 1-0 Portsmouth
          L2: Bury 1-1 Southend
          L2: Southend 1-0 Carlisle

Martial notched a hat-trick in the big win over Hartlepool to begin the month's proceedings, and we went on to win 4/5 league matches in November, drawing just once to second-placed Bury. We also managed to dispatch Burton Albion on penalties after a 2-2 draw over 120 minutes. This is the ferocity and skill we can exhibit when we have all our key players fit and firing.

          December

          FA: Southend 1-1 Oxford
          JP: Chesterfield 2-3 Southend
          L2: Southend 2-0 Accrington
          FA: Oxford 0-2 Southend
          L2: Tranmere 1-2 Southend
          L2: Southend 4-1 Cambridge
          L2: Accrington 1-2 Southend
          L2: Burton 0-2 Southend

Our first FA Cup tie against Oxford ended as a draw, forcing a replay that we won 2-0, setting up a match against Championship side Wolves in the third round. Chesterfield forced extra time in our Johnstone's Paint Trophy area semi-final after a 2-2 draw. As we looked certain to head for penalties, it was Martial who bagged the winner with his first goal in seven games, setting up a two-legged meeting with Sheffield United in the area final. We also enjoyed a 100% record in the league in December, with a particularly in-form Weston joined in his scoring exploits by a resurgent Martial, both of whom are now on 11 league goals for the season.

          Table

          1. Southend 61
          2. Portsmouth 51
          3. Carlisle 49
          4. Oxford 47
          5. Plymouth 44
          6. Bury 44
          7. Shrewsbury 39
          ...
          22. Stevenage 17
          23. Cambridge 16
          24. Accrington 12

As you can see, we are the division's best team by some distance. The task set to me by the board was to challenge for promotion, which would need me to finish no lower than seventh. We're 22 points ahead of that target, and it's looking like we might win the league as early as late March or early April. Our record is also quite exceptional, as we're undefeated with 18 wins in 25 games, having scored 47 while conceding just 15.

          Academy

          Alfie Kuhl (England/17/CAM)
          OVR 51-55 | POT 84-90

Kuhl continues to amaze us with his development and is now predicted to one day reach world-class level. His position has also been narrowed down, and it looks like he will excel as deep-lying forward who can do wonderful things with the ball at his feet.

          Akinade Urko Vera (Japan/16/CM)
          OVR 32-38 | POT 60-70

I signed this midfielder, who is half-Basque and half-Nigerian but born in Japan, because I think he could be better down the road. Two years in the academy should see him develop into a strong contender for a spot on the bench. I won't be promoting him until I see fit to, even if he threatens to leave.

          Elneny Isaias (Japan/16)
          OVR 44-54 | POT 61-75

Isaias is of Egyptian and Brazilian heritage but has pledged his future to Japan, the nation of his birth. He appears to be a relatively pacey player, and while his best position is yet to be determined, he could prove to benefit from a year or two in the academy.

          Michele Belloni (Italy/16/ST)
          OVR 53-63 | POT 81-94

Belloni is a young forward from Essex, born in London to Italian parents. We came to know of him through a former scout with great experience in finding hidden gems, and it looks like he will be a very, very good player.

          Zouhair Osagawa (Japan/16)
          OVR 34-42 | POT 65-83

I'm banking more on Osagawa, who is part Japanese and part Moroccan, to be a pace demon than a talented footballer. We'll take a call in a year or two on whether to promote him.

                • First attack in, a cross into the box; Benat scores it!
                • Few minutes later, Alcacer scores a screamer!
                • Madrid didn't give up.
                • Gabi scores a free-kick; things were getting difficult.
                • We tried holding on, but they kept on pushing.
                • A quick one-two between Griezmann and Koke, they shoot...
                • Irazoz saves it!
                • Yet the ball drops infront of Mandzukic, who scores it.
                • The game ends 2-2.

                Liga BBVA
                Matchday 15

                • Third game this month against Cordoba.
                • They were still last in the league.
                • I decided to play a weaker team.
                • However, the intensity was the same.
                • Marcos managed to score two, blazing past the defense.
                • Gomez added one with his free-kick.
                • The game finished 3-0, another great win for the boys.

                Matchday 16
                Athletic Bilbao 3-0 Real Sociedad
                38' Benat (ACB)
                85', 90' Paco Alcacer (ACB)
                • Last game of the month.
                • Yet one of the most important ones; the Basque derby.
                • I had only one idea from the start - destroying Sociedad.
                • It went just as I expected; Benat put us up front after a lovely finesse shot to the corner.
                • I subbed in Paco, who managed to score two in five minutes!
                • Another 3-0 victory!
                • A sweet ending to a good month.

Great write up, the team is really cruising right now. Love the little tidbits you add to the youth academy, there are definitely some solid players in there and who could even help you now, but I would definitely give them a May update to develop.

                      November 2019 - Season 7
                      FIFA 14 (PS3)

                      Aston Villa 1 - 8 AFC Wimbledon
                      WIM: Mannus 12' Eaves 17' 56' 67' James 19' 60' Paterson 81' Vincent 90'
                      AST: Weimann 14'
We really had high hopes for this match, particularly because this would be the first time since 2013 that Ryan Tafazolli faces Wimbledon, the club he was loyal to for 6 straight years. We expected a great match up in Villa's third with 6'5" defender Tafazolli marking 6'4" striker Tom Eaves, but things definitely did not go as expected. Youth graduate Rhuadri Mannus scored the first goal from outside the box, only for Weimann to equalize two minutes later with a long shot of his own. Three minutes later Eaves scored a header to put Wimbledon back in front, and two minutes after that Luke James scored the third to give Wimbledon more room to breath. The match went to halftime with Wimbledon comfortably ahead, but they weren't done! At minute 56 Tom Eaves scores his brace and then Luke James completed his brace only four minutes later. Just seven minutes after that Eaves completes his hat-trick! At this point Chavez began making changes to give players like 16 year old Burgess some playing time with the comfortable lead, but even after the changes Wimbledon were still going strong. Callum Paterson scored the 7th goal in the final minutes, and then youth graduate Shaun Vincent finished off an exhausted Villa side with the 8th and final goal. This win will be recorded as the biggest Wimbledon win under Chavez! The incredible win also allowed both Tom Eaves and Luke James to catch up to Chelsea's Jovetic in the race for this year's golden boot, as they each have 7 goals in the league so far. Could AFC Wimbledon have the top scoring striker in the Premier League for the 3rd year in a row?

                      Champions League - Group Stage
                      AFC Wimbledon 4 - 0 AEK Athens
                      WIM: Harvey 8' Ortiz 25' Clayton 59' Thompson 68'
Wimbledon needed a win to get back into fighting for the top 2 spots in the Group D, but Chavez still put his confidence in the B team. They did not disappoint. The B team completely walked over the Greeks and scored 4 incredible goals. The first goal was scored by Tyler Harvey with an incredible volley from a lob pass by Michael Thompson directly to the heart of the box. Harvey took the shot as the ball came down and sent it right into the top corner of the net, impossible for the goalkeeper to reach. Youth graduate Diego Ortiz scored a long shot from outside the box to the bottom corner of the net, assisted by Thompson as well. Max Clayton used his speed to cut into the box and score, and about 9 minutes later Michael Thompson scored his goal by taking his shot with his back towards goal, making a 180 turn to shoot. It looked uncomfortable, but the kid pulled it off.

                      AFC Wimbledon 2 - 2 Stoke City
                      STK: N'Zonzi 55' Pieters 89'
WIM: Tom Eaves RED CARD 59' Jacob Murphy 61' James 77'
The Wombles struggled to break through Stoke's 4-1-4-1 and were looking really bad on the field really unmotivated. Stoke scored the first goal at minute 55 which caused Tom Eaves, who had been having a bad game, to lose his head and get sent off for a dangerous slide tackle after losing the ball in midfield. Strangely, Wimbledon looked a lot better with a man down and were even close to winning the game after flipping the scoreline, but unfortunately for them Stoke was able to equalize right before the final minute. It may have been only a draw, but Chavez should still be happy with his team's effort on the pitch even with a man down.

                      Tottenham 0 - 1 AFC Wimbledon
                      WIM: James 82'
An exciting game filled with midfield battles. The headlines leading up to the match were regarding who would replace Eaves in the lineup after his suspension. The answer: youth graduate Michael Thompson. The CF from Northern Ireland was receiving his first opportunity with the first team ahead of Max Clayton, and he did not disappoint. The forward played with much enthusiasm and his well known lob passes quickly made an impact on the field. Close to the end of the match, he took a powerful shot on goal that Lloris was able to block and sent it high in the air, but Luke James was able to beat his marker and head it first into goal. Tottenham still played really well against the Dons tonight, but losing Leandro Paredes in the transfer window has certainly decreased their offensive spark. PHOTO:

                      AFC Wimbledon 1 - 0 Norwich City
                      WIM: Clayton 65'
The Wimbledon B team were just barely able to defeat relegation candidate Norwich, but a win is a win. Tom Eaves made an appearance with the B team tonight, which makes us wonder if he's just playing with the B team to make up for lost playing time, or if he's been demoted back to the B team. With Eaves on the field the B team lost a lot of their speed and had a tough time breaking through Norwich, causing Chavez to switch the 4-4-2 Diamond Wide formation to a 4-3-2-1. Eaves still contributed though, assisting Clayton's goal with a cross into the box.

                      Champions League - Group D
                      AFC Wimbledon 2 - 2 AS Roma
                      WIM: Thompson 7' James 58'
                      ROM: Florenzi 9' Gervinho 90'
Roma started the match pressuring very high up the field and crowding Wimbledon's box, much like the first game between these two. However, Wimbledon quickly showed Roma that if that's the way they want to play, two can play at that game and showed off their speed with counter attacks every chance they got. Michael Thompson, clearly now a first team player, scored an early goal from a counter attack but Roma hit back two minutes later with a goal from Florenzi. After that, Roma took it down a notch and made sure they weren't sending too many people to attack while Wimbledon also returned to their slow build up play. The two teams made things difficult for each other, until Wimbledon caught a break thanks to a header from Luke James. Roma looked out of options, and didn't look too dangerous anymore. The game wasn't over though, and second half sub Gervinho was able to hit Wimbledon on a counter attack and tie the match right before the end. The ex-Arsenal winger put Roma back in the fight to go to the Round of 16, with the top 3 teams in the group all having possibilities to advance from the group stage.

                      Chelsea 0 - 1 AFC Wimbledon
                      WIM: James 61'
A big surprise tonight, since Wimbledon's visits to Stamford Bridge are always difficult. The Wombles somehow managed to turn their luck tonight by defeating Chelsea by the minimal difference. This was a tight matchup, as only two points separated these two teams at the top of the table and this was virtually a title decider although still early in the season. Another battle on the league tables is between Wimbledon's Luke James and Chelsea's Jovetic, with James being only one goal ahead of Jovetic in the race for the Golden Boot. In that battle Wimbledon also came out on top with Luke James scoring in the 61st minute with an assist from Thompson. Jovetic had great goal scoring chances but wasn't able to finish, and was later substituted off for Lukaku.

                      Headlines

UCL: Ticket To Round of 16 Up For The Taking
Going into the final round of group stage the top 3 teams - PSV, Roma, and Wimbledon - all have chances of progressing in their hands without having to depend on other results. If Roma wins their match against AEK Athens, they are through to the next round regardless of the result between Wimbledon and PSV. The odds are in their favor since Athens has yet to win a match in this year's Champions League. The winner of the PSV - Wimbledon match goes through, regardless of the result between Roma and Athens. The odds here are against Wimbledon since they lost to PSV 2-1 last month and must now travel to the Netherlands to face them. If Wimbledon draws or loses to PSV, then they would need Roma to lose to Athens which is highly unlikely on paper. A draw between Roma and Athens would also benefit the Dons in that scenario.

Tom Eaves Back With The B Team
We've mentioned it before, Eaves is not the goal scoring machine that he was last season. Since being promoted to the first team Eaves has struggled to find the net as regularly as last year, thus he has been sent back to the B team. Standing at 6'4", the English striker was even having a hard time to beat his opponents in the air, which never happened last year. If the ball was in the air Eaves was getting to it first no matter what. That is no longer the case this year though. "He had a rough start to this season, with his injury and all. He just needs to regain confidence. His goal scoring form was at its peak when he was with the B team, so maybe there he can find it again and go back to being a giant in the box." - Chavez

                      AFC Wimbledon becoming Scotland's Core
Scotland has called up a total of 6 AFC Wimbledon players for this month's Euro Qualifying matches. Wimbledon youth graduates Scott McGabe and Dean Rhodes earning their first international cap at the senior level. England has called up 2 Wimbledon players: Tarkowski and Robinson. Luke James will surely be called more often as he is the current top goal scorer in the league and already earned his first cap last month. Another player that is beginning to push for a call up is Jacob Murphy. The midfielder is in great form this season putting in impressive performances at a more consistent level compared to last season.

                      Youth Scouting Commences
All three of the Wimbledon youth scouts have been sent out in search for young talent. The scouts have been sent out to England in search of wingers, to Mexico in search of a striker, and to the United States in search of a goalkeeper. *All three scouts are 5 stars*

                      Management Offers
Chavez continues to receive offers from international teams even though he has already stated that he is not interested in an international job at the moment. Belgium sent an offer for Chavez, but it was immediately denied. Relationship between Chavez and the Belgians is not the friendliest, due to the heated matches that took place between Scotland and Belgium when Chavez was manager. The Mexican national team has also sent Chavez an offer, which he hasn't replied to yet. Mexico being his native country and Chavez being familiar with playing three at the back makes it seem like this is an offer he might accept, but who knows. Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen sent a formal offer to Chavez but the offer was denied, and Chavez made it clear that he will not be leaving Wimbledon for any other team.

                      That's all for this month
                      Thanks For Reading!

                        Newcastle? Liverpool? Coventry? :0

Just bought my first PS4 game last night. I wanted it to be FIFA, but it wasn't on sale :P Instead I got Shadow of Mordor as it was 50% off. The game will also serve as a commitment, since I must now buy a PS4 or else the game will go to waste haha I was actually very disappointed to see there were no PS4 Black Friday sales. Xbox One was $70 off all day, while all the PS4 had was the Destiny bundle (white PS4) on sale for the same price as the regular PS4. Lame -_- lol

You're breezing through League 2. Pretty sure you'll be winning the title, and I can also predict you'll be winning the League 1 title as the jump between the two divisions isn't that big. Like Moose said I like the back story you're giving your academy players. Nice touch!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Okay, it's been a while since I've been able to give any feedback, so here's another one of those long posts to address a lot of things.

                                • Thanks for all the great responses to the Southend career. I've been so immersed in that I just post updates and get right back to playing. It's so fun that I've run through 30+ games on 10-minute halves in less than a week. It even took me less than a second to reject job offers from Basel and Leeds!

                                • Belloni is the product of my third Scout Future Star option; the first went to waste at Sampdoria, and the second never activated at Southend, which forced me to use the third.

                                • Leonard is my best player at the moment. He's 22 and has physical stats all in the 80s or high 70s, while his technical and mental skills are coming up. Key attributes like short passing, vision and ball control are in the high 60s or low 70s. He's grown by +5 overall to 67, and it seems he will outstrip his potential of 70 by some distance.

                                • Weston has been in great form, and with the transfer window open, I expect him to be the target of several offers. He won't be going anywhere unless he puts in a transfer request, as he's more valuable to me than anything another club would offer.

                                • I've offered new contracts to a lot of my players who were set to be free agents in the summer, so that brings a bit of stability to our situation. I'll be selling a couple of high-earning players to free up some cash to make some pre-contract signings.

                                • We also need a centre back in this window as Sokolik returned to Yeovil and Thompson has injured his ACL, ruling him out for the rest of the season. We'll be looking to get Sokolik back on loan for the remainder of the season if possible.

Chico, very nice results. I love that 8-1 win over Villa, but you must have been pretty annoyed at the end not to have kept a clean sheet. I would have been! Very good work to beat Tottenham and Chelsea, too. It seems you are definitely the best team in England! Liking the news section as well, and you'll love SoM. Grab that PS4 as soon as you can! As for your comment on winning the first two promotions, I agree. From what I've seen, it's the transition to the Championship and getting promoted to the top flight that's the toughest part. I expect to spend at least a year in the second division before making it to the top. Any tips on how to get a bit more cash for better scouts?

Simppu, very nice work with Hertha. To be honest, I'd be bored out my skull by now with that career. There'd be no question of staying on for another season, as I'd be looking to move clubs or start fresh at another club. Also, I think it's criminal of you to have players as good as Laporte and Iturbe on the bench. I demand that you sell them!

Moose, loving the video updates. That was a good result for you against Chelsea, and your career is looking a lot more realistic since the sliders change. I'm also working with a custom set tweaked from Orion's, and I find the game about as good as I've ever seen it. My human intelligence lets me breeze through the lower divisions, but I do lose to the teams at the top.

Cruzerr, well done to be leading the league at this point. The squad looks deep enough to cope with the rest of the season without European football to distract you, though if you do sell Ibai Gomez, I'd suggest you get Griezmann or Tello as a replacement.

Keano, nice job. Seems like you're coping with L1 as well as you did with L2. How did you find the jump between leagues, and what sort of team did you have? What type of signings do you suggest I look for? Free agents? Loans?

Rabbit, you beast. Go on then, Champions League final for the minnows of the competition (or so it'd seem)! You must have been over the moon with that win over Bilbao. I know I feel that way when I beat a team close to me in the table so deep into the season. Your academy is incredible. I wish we had interactive, cross-platform, cross-version careers so I could take those boys on loan when you promote them!
