Irazoz has been great, but regarding transfer news, I can't promise you that I won't make changes to the team. However, my next post is going to be a pre-december post about transfers, so it will hype you up a bit to it.

All in all, different times are coming, changes are going to be made, and how things will play out; is unknown.
Understatement of the year... you were in the good ole group of death. You had 3 teams that could easily be the champions of their league. So you can't be disappointed in those results

And I am a couple weeks shy of 21 and single. So I can get whatever time I want to play video games when I am at home depending on how much school work is done or left to due. Like during the remainder of this week probably not much gaming because I have to take an online exam, do an entire research paper, fix another research paper and some other things. The exam and the paper I have to do all of are due on Monday. The exam is due @ 8 am and the paper at 12:30 pm. And the other paper is due Tuesday at 11 am. Thank god I have most of that paper just add like a page or so and then fix some things that my professor told me to fix and I will be done with that.

        AD Alcorcon - '19-'20 Season
        April Update

        League Match 29
RM Castilla - AD Alcorcon (1-2)
        Rondon 45+'
        Rondon 71'

        Derik 87'

Recap: Rondon once again led the B team to a victory continuing a string of recent success by our backups, sorely needed as we try to stay competitive in all competitions. The score makes the game look closer than it was, it was really all Alcorcon all game long.

CL - Quarter Finals, 2nd Leg
AD Alcorcon - Manchester City (3-1, 4-3 agg)
        Millner 5'
        Correa 24'
        Lopez 33' (P)
        Lopez 83'

Recap: went into this game knowing that a simple 1-0 victory could get us through but when Millner scored from a narrow angle on a rebound to the left it sure didn't look too good for us. DO NOT BE SHOCKED IF NICO LOPEZ GETS A 10/10 GRADE IN THE ROSTER REVIEW AT THE END OF THE SEASON. Holy guacamole is he amazing. Assisted in Correa's goal, forced the penalty and converted it, then scored with less than 10 minutes to go to put us ahead to semi finals. Unbelievable.

        League Match 30
Alcorcon AD - RCD Espanyol (3-2)
        Lopez 20'
        Rondon 32'

        Luna 80'
        Knoll 82
        Acquah 84'

Recap: Thievy, who is constantly a pain in my behind every time I play Espanyol, was not available for this game and I was very thankful for that. Once again the score makes the game seem a lot closer than it was, I need to keep finding ways to get Knoll playing time because the kid just keeps getting better and better.

        League Match 31
AD Alcorcon - RC Deportivo (1-0)
        Morientes 45+'

Recap: B team struggled more than I anticipated in this one, getting the 3 points by the minimal difference, but all I need right now is wins so I'm happy.

        League Match 32
Athletic Bilbao - AD Alcorcon (1-3)
        De Marcos 7'
        Salawu 17'
        Lopez 21'
        Correa 38'

Recap: this was a BIG game with Bilbao just ahead of us in the standings and we came through even after an early goal by cruzerr's boys. Salawu actually scored for the first time all season and he's been getting better since making the switch from LM to RM after Yamura's department. Another thing flying under the radar is how good Correa has been of late and I think it has a lot to do with Lopez's presence in front of him. HUGE win for us.

CL - Semi Finals, 1st Leg
FC Barcelona - AD Alcorcon (2-2)
        Pedro 28'
        Farago 45+
        Song 59'
        Correa 83'

Recap: this should paint a pretty good picture about how good La Liga is right now - 3 of the final 4 teams in Champions League are from Spain (Real Madrid and Marseille are battling on the other side). Of course I've never beaten Barca other than in PK's of Copa Del Rey final last season. This 2-2 draw on the road was a major victory for us but more importantly I can honestly say we were the better team, Barca is still just pretty damn lethal in their attack. Farago's goal was a beauty, dribbling in traffic against a pretty good defense, and showing why he's keeping Knoll on the bench.

        League Match 33
Rayo Vallecano - AD Alcorcon (0-2)
        Barrera 45'
        Knoll 62'

Recap: with the second leg vs Barca coming just 3 days later I once again leaned on my B team and they once again responded with a solid win. Rayo always gives me more trouble than they should.

CL - Semi Finals, 2nd Leg
AD Alcorcon - FC Barcelona (1-1, 3-3 agg)
        Osede Prieto 36'
        Correa 67'

Recap: and so we have done it again, eliminating Barca thanks to more away goals in the aggregate draw, getting past Messi&Co even though we have yet to beat them in the scoreboard. It took a lot of patience in this one, even after they took the lead in the first half, but we got it done and were actually once again the better team on the field, so our ticket to the Champions League final was truly deserved. Our opponent? Real Madrid, who after posting a 2-0 win at home eked out 1-3 loss in France to also move on by away goals on aggregate draw.

        Liga BBVA Standings
        1. FC Barcelona - 85pts
        2. Real Madrid - 74pts
        3. Sevilla FC - 66pts
        4. Atletico Madrid - 64pts
        5. AD Alcorcon - 62pts
        6. Valencia CF - 62pts

        ...
        18. Levante UD - 26pts
        19. Elche CF - 23pts
        20. RM Castilla - 18pts

Looky here looky here, by achieving a PERFECT month in March we moved up to 5th place from 7th and are in a great position to achieve that Champions League spot that board wants from us. Our second game in May will be against Atletico so that may decide whether we at least get that 4th place. It's a must-win game for us though we first need to take care of business against Elche 3 days before. It'll be the A team from here on out. We get Levante 5 days after Atletico before a tough game to close out the season against Real Madrid which we hope won't be a must-win for us. The Copa Del Rey final against Barca will be 6 days later and the Champions League final against Real 8 days after that ... I have an opportunity to make this a very special season.

Of course now that we have reached May 1st we have gotten the final season report from the academy and we're ready to hand out some promotions. Check out the youth squad:
        • Javier Marquez (CB, 65-69 OVR, 86-92 POT): 17-year old from Venezuela has been informed by his agent that the team is negotiating a contract to promote him to the senior squad. We're excited about his size (6'2") for his position and he should be a key member of the B team in no time (91 aggression!).
        • Victor Jimenez (CM, 66-70, 86-92): 16-year old from Spain described as an attacker. He saw significant improvement in the academy this season but we're currently talking to him about staying in the academy for another season in order to give himself a better chance to be an impact player for us right away. A special talent.
        • Damian Silva (CM, 64-68, 84-90): 16-year old from Spain described as a playmaker. Good potential with the stamina of a starter. If he's willing to stay in the academy one more season he could come in and make an impact right away for us.
        • Victor Velazquez (CAM, 62-66, 83-89): Spanish prospect recently turned 16 and who reminds us of a young Leandro Paredes or Angel Correa. We want to keep him in the academy for another season.
        • Johnny Wilson (CF, 54-58, 74-80):15-year old from England who we're hoping will grow from his current size of 5'7".
        • Julio Gutierrez (LW, 53-57, 73-79): 15-year old from Spain who brings speed to the pitch. He's settled at LW which is a great fit for him but he showed very little improvement in the academy this season.
        • Victor Jimenez (CM, 58-62, 74-80): 17-year old from Venezuela who is a defensive-minded midfielder. He needs to remain in the academy for now but we're not sure he'll want to stay in it for another full season given his age.
        • Juan Nuñez (LM, 60-64, 72-78): 16-year old from Ecuador who saw pretty good improvement in the academy this season but would be better served staying in the academy one more season. He's technically gifted and seems to be more of an attacking midfielder.
        • Jomar Mayat (LW, 57-61, 72-76): 17-year old from Cameroon who will also be promoted to the senior team after serving his time in the academy. We will try to use him more at striker than on the wings as his speed is very limited and he has good size (6'0").
        • Francisco Miguel (CF, 51-55, 71-75): Kid from Spain who just turned 16. Described as technically gifted but need to remain in the academy for at least one more season.
        • Damon Elliot (CF, 51-55, 70-74): 16-year old from England who projects as a speedy attacker. His best shot at being a long-term consideration for us is to stay in the academy for one more season.

        * Denotes recent addition to the academy.

        Spoiler

Other than that, there's just one significant development going on for me ...

I didn't see it coming but I guess my yearly review came up. Of course, the USMNT loves me and wants me back but since I'm so focused on what's going with Alcorcon I've taken my time time to accept their offer. This has opened up an opportunity for other offers and Venezuela has reached out to me once again (after canning me a year and a half ago) and Ecuador as well. All 3 offers expire in the second week of June and there may be more offers coming in before then so it'll be interesting to see what happens there (WC qualifiers should be starting around the world pretty soon)

So will I earn a top 4 (top 3?) finish in La Liga? Can I repeat as Copa Del Rey champs? Can I shock the world and win the Champions? Stay tuned for the end of the season update!

Oh my, oh my, what a run in the Champions League! You must've felt amazing after beating City and drawing twice with Barca to go through. I'm proud of you, my boy! Maybe we can both win the Champions League. If I reach the final first.

Good luck with the very important games that are left! You can win the double, I believe in you!

Thanks, felt awesome to beat City since I was basically forced to sell Yamura there, then it was awesome to get past Barca who are a ridiculous 26-7-2 in La Liga this season with a +57 GD. I've beaten Real once before so I'm feeling pretty good about that and playing them a couple of weeks before the CL final is very convenient.

              FIFA 15 Career Mode
              Athletic Club Bilbao

              Spoiler

Transfer news - changes in Basque country?

View of the Etihad arena, as Bilbao drew 2-2 against Manchester City

As we reach the month of December rolls in, there have been a lot of speculations regarding the roster of Athletic Bilbao.

Currently sitting second, a point behind and two games less played than Barcelona, the team is certainly playing fast-paced, exciting football. The coach Javier Cruzerr has got the team playing in a different level, and with the newly made signings of players like Paco Alcacer, who is the leading scorer in Liga BBVA, with 10 goals on his name, and current players, who are playing at top level, like Iker Muniain and Markel Susaeta, Bilbao has been said to be the most lethal offense in Spain.

Yet, in Europe, Bilbao has not been too successful, with losing two games to Zenit, losing and getting a draw against Porto and getting a toughly fought draw at the Etihad against Manchester City. Many fans have been asking the question:"Is Cruzerr going to sign anybody during the January transfer window? And if so, who?"

Well, first off, lets look at the possible departures from the team. Cruzerr has said in plenty of press conferences that the core players will not leave the team. For starters, the goalkeeper Gorka Irazoz has been linked with plenty of teams, starting from Ajax and finishing with Hull City. The fans have thought to replace him with Ruffier, yet the coach has other ideas. "I will not replace Irazoz with anybody. He is a great goalkeeper on top of his form."

So, the goalkeeper is staying. What about the rest of the field? Well, for starters, Cruzerr has said that the defensive lineup won't be touched at all. "We have a solid amount of talented defenders, I do not want any more nor do I want to sell any of them." Same can be said about the midfielders.

However, things get interesting, when he was questioned about his attackers. "At this moment, I feel Paco (Alcacer) and Iker (Muniain) and Susaeta have played fantastic. Kike (Sola) and the rest of the young squad have been terrific. I do feel however that a few bench signings would make the team a bit better, as we are lacking a few wingers."

So, you can note two things from here. One of the big things is obvious that they are in looking for wingers, which we will talk about in a moment, yet the more interesting part is that he did not mention Ibai Gomez.

A rumor has spread to the surface that Gomez is being tracked by many teams, but one particular team is the first place team, FC Barcelona. Apperantly, Barca have offered nearly €25.000.000 euros for him, which at first, seems completely ridiculous. Yet when you digest it, the man is on form, scoring 8 goals in 11 matches, with 6 assists. Maybe the price is not so unreasonable.

If Gomez does truely leave, who can replace him? Well, a few wingers have come up to sign the Basque overlords. First one is Balde Diao Keita, the youngster from Lazio. Many people believe that he would be a great replacement for Gomez. Another player that has been mentioned is Santi Cazorla, the Arsenal winger/attacking midfielder.

A few fans have suggested to put Muniain back to the wing and sign a CAM. The names that have popped up in that discussion are not worse: Isco, Koke, Santi Cazorla, Thiago.

But that is all when Gomez actually does leave. Cruzerr himself said that he is looking for young wingers. Well, a few names have been rumored already to join, with the likes of Kingsley Coman and Carles Gil.

However, to see who Bilbao will really sign, we will have to wait for another month.

That's what I feared. As much as I've enjoyed playing with USA and evaluating their talent to assemble the best WC roster, I'm not really excited about no qualifiers so they're probably out of the running. Now if Argentina calls ....

Oh, and USA also plays in Copa America

Of course you'd go with Argentina lol

Oh really? I didn't think the game would have USA play in the "South America" cup as they call it.

                            Ha Ho He

                            April 2018

                            Champions League Quarter Final
                            Hertha BSC (5) 1 - 1 (1) Valencia CF
                            Calhanoglu 84'
                            Alcacer 55' pen

After four goals, of which every one came from Hertha's players, were scored in the first leg of this quarter final Valencia didn't have much of a chance to go through. Many expected the home team to score a lot of goals in this game as well but that didn't happen. The Berliners didn't play well and Valencia took the lead in the first ten minutes of the second half with a spot kick. Half an hour later Hakan Calhanoglu saved his team from shame when he equalised the game from a counter attack. Valencia weren't able to score five goals in the last five minutes and they were eliminated.

                            Hertha BSC 1 - 0 Eintracht Frankfurt
                            Ben Yedder 46'

                            Bayer Leverkusen 0 - 0 Hertha BSC

A really boring game between the two teams which ended in a goalless draw. Neither team seemed motivated enough.

                            Champions League Semi Final
                            Juventus 1 - 3 Hertha BSC
                            Morata 85'
                            Sanchez 23', Suarez 79', 90'

From the three possibilities which were Juventus, Manchester City and Real Madrid Hertha Berlin were drawn against the weakest of the three on paper. A day before this game Real Madrid had beaten Manchester City 1-0 away from home. In Turin Hertha got off to a good start thanks to Alexis Sanchez who dribbled in the box before shooting a powerful shot at the near post past Hugo Lloris. The next goal came almost an hour later when Luis Suarez scored from a counter attack. Alvaro Morata pulled one back only five minutes later with a beautiful volley but another five minutes later Luis Suarez got his brace from another counter attack. Going into the second leg Hertha had a big advantage but in football everything is possible...

                            Hertha BSC 0 - 0 VfL Wolfsburg

Another boring and dull game was played by Hertha Berlin, this time against another top team Wolfsburg. The two sides had three and four shots each and of those shots only two were on target. Hertha still have a chance to break the record of highest amount of points in a season in their last Bundesliga game. The current record belongs to Bayern München and Hertha BSC, who have finished a season with 91 points. This year Hertha can break the record by a point if they manage to beat Mainz 05 and Borussia Mönchengladbach in their last two games.

Coming into this game Hertha Berlin had a two-goal lead but it was sure that Juventus wouldn't go down without a fight. It looked good for the Berliners when Marco Reus scored before the halftime mark after cutting in from the left flank. Then only two minutes after the goal Hertha's midfielder Nemanja Matic broke his ankle and got injured for three months. Juventus managed to equalise the game only ten minutes later with a nice passing goal which was finished by Fernando Llorente. The Basque attacker finished his brace and The Old Lady took the lead half an hour later after he got to a rebounded shot. Luckily for the home team Luis Suarez equalised about ten minutes later from a penalty and Juan Iturbe got the winning goal in stoppage time from a counter attack. In the other game Real Madrid beat Manchester City 3-1.

You didn't have a great run in the league games this month. What happened?

I don't know. Maybe it's the lack of motivation or too high confidence but this can't continue. We need to win the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach and I will do everything I can for the players to be motivated and hungry for a victory.

If you beat Borussia you will break the record of highest amount of points in a season. Do you want to achieve that?

Yes, of course I do, who wouldn't want it? Our name would remain in the history books forever and everyone would know what a spectacular club we are. I deserve it, the players deserve it and the fans deserve it. It would be great to break the record.

After winning the first leg of the Champions League quarter final you had a tough game in the second leg. This happened in the semi finals, as well. How can you explain this?

I think it's the result of a beating in the first leg. We scored seven goals in the first legs which is great but in the second legs we didn't play that good. Like I said that happened because of our big lead and lack of motivation because basically we were already through.

You will face Real Madrid in the final. Any expectations?

A win. That's what I'm expecting and that's what we will try to get.

I know this isn't FIFA or football/soccer related

He is an Australian cricketer who died after being struck in the neck by a bouncer spliting an artery in his neck causing too much blood to rush to his brain
