Çamdal really struggled in the beginning, he had actually lost his starting spot to Max Clayton but unfortunately I couldn't renew Clayton's loan or afford his purchase. Even at the beginning of this season he struggled as a midfielder but lately he's really stepped up. I'm hoping he can soon get a call up to the Turkey national team.

I agree with you 100% on Midson. I have already been planning on transferring him next season. He's 31 now, stats will be decreasing in the preseason, and he's not even the highest rated player anymore. Next in line is Luke Moore, 63 overall CAM, he usually comes in as a sub at DM and does a great job both recovering the ball and starting up an attack. I'm gonna wait to see if I can get a CDM youth that can cover that position instead of Moore though. If not, then next season I'll definitely look for a CDM. I seriously doubt Midson will be able to play that position as well as he is now in the championship given the level of competition we will be facing.

Another team I would really like to use. Jumping onto the map after beating Uruguay and Italy in the World Cup, they have some great talent in the likes of Bryan Ruiz and Joel Campbell. I have used these online as well and they were awesome.

      TAHITI

I have not used these but after their appearance in the Confederations Cup I have been intrigued by them. I think it would be great to get this nation past the dominance of New Zealand and into the FIFA World Cup Finals.

One of those two Costa Rica because of how well they have done and Tahiti because I just think it would be entertaining to hear about that campaign.

        NIGERIA

The team I would most like to use. A fun looking squad with Enyeama, Emenike and Musa to name a few. I personally love their kits and I have enjoyed playing with them online. The reigning champions of the African Cup of Nations and they are currently having a great World Cup.

        ECUADOR

Probably the team I would least like to use out of the options, but I would still find it enjoyable. After the death of Benitez, Ecuador have lacked a brilliant striker to rely on and I think that could be a great challenge.

        ICELAND

Iceland came so close to qualifying for the first time in their history. Thwarted in the playoffs by Croatia, Iceland were one of the shocks of the qualifying, and I would like to take that all the way to the cup.

        UZBEKISTAN

After the split from the Soviet Union, Uzbekistan have consistently been the best out of the new central asian teams. Coming close to qualification for the first time they will be enjoyable to play as. Especially if I come up against Russia.
I think Iceland would be a good choice. They would be very fun in qualifying and you'll have underdog advantage if you qualify at your first world cup. But any one of the other countries would be great to read about. It's a nice change from club career. Good luck with whatever country you pick

          Brighton & Hove Albion
          Taking Flight

          December 2014

          Brighton 2-1 Spurs
          Bendtner 23', Buckley 78'
          Sandro 10'

Man of the match: Tomasz Kuszczak

Spurs do Brighton the respect of fielding a full-strength team and get to work closing them down from the first whistle. Gareth Bale leads the ball recovery attempt, pressing the Brighton back line without respite. Eventually, the inevitable happens when Mutch is dispossessed in the centre circle by Sandro, who passes to a wide open Bale. The Welshman drives forward through on goal and shoots, only for his thundering shot to ricochet off the post. Sandro is on hand to grab a goal from the rebound.

Not very late afterwards, LuaLua dribbles down the right wing and pops in a cross that lifts just perfectly, going over the head of Hugo Lloris and onto Bendtner's, who heads home yet another wonderful goal. Buckley grabs a late winner when he cuts in from the right, skips past Vlad Chiriches, beats Lloris with a curling finish, and helps his team see out the remaining ten minutes or so. Cue wild scenes at the Amex. Brighton have just beat the league leaders, giving them their first defeat of the season.

          Swansea 3-1 Brighton
          Ki 21'
          Bendtner 16' 49', Buckley 37'

Man of the match: Nicklas Bendtner

A match in the snow turns out to be an exercise in patience and skill. Bendtner opens the scoring for Brighton after Mutch plays in a wonderful low cross from the left of midfield. He fires past a helpless David Cornell, Swansea's reserve keeper playing for an injured Michel Vorm, but Ki Sung-yueng gets an equaliser soon after with an exquisitely weighted chip past Kuszczak. Buckley restores Brighton's lead before the break with a low drive following a dummy from Bendtner, who grabs his second goal early in the second half by getting his head on the end of another ball from Mutch, this time in the air.

          Brighton 2-2 Man. City
          Bendtner 30' 73'
          Negredo 24' 90'

Man of the match: Tomasz Kuszczak

Alvaro Negredo uses his left foot to smash the ball against the post and into goal for City's opener, but Bendtner soon gets his head on the end of a lovely cross from Buckley to leave Joe Hart rooted to his spot. Late in the game, he scores another header from an Aranguiz corner to give Brighton the lead for the first time all game. Negredo grabs a late equaliser and a point for City with his own header off a corner.

          Fulham 4-0 Brighton
          Richardson 4', Sau 34' 77', Kasami 57'
Man of the match: Marco Sau

Match simmed as I wanted to finish up the month before the Germany-USA game. I have no clue what happened, but everyone except Aranguiz, Bendtner and Buckley has been reduced from 'good' to 'okay' form. Just bad luck, I suppose.

          December 2014
          Cup: N/A
          League: 7/12 points

Indiblue's analysis: We took some important points from this month, the biggest three coming against Spurs. What a massive achievement for these beautiful boys. I know we ought to be satisfied with what we have, but we want to do better. The boys and I know what a good season in the top flight can do for your career, and we want to do as much as we can to better ourselves. I would like to think a top-half finish is the least we should aim for, with qualification for the Euro League being a huge plus if we manage it. With regard to the upcoming transfer window, I will be looking at a couple of options for the future. However, I do not expect to sign anyone.

          Squad Report – December 31, 2014

          Starting XI

GK Tomasz Kuszczak: Lost his spot towards the middle of last season, but has reclaimed the goalkeeper's gloves with elan. With 7 clean sheets in 18 games, he's the fourth-best keeper in the league behind Lloris, Courtois and Hart. Contract expires in 2015, a one-year extension is likely to be signed early in January. 7/10

RB Hector Bellerin: At 63 OVR and 19 years old, it's a miracle I'm not conceding down my right flank. Only player to start all 19 games and not be subbed once. Will need a senior RB until he's ready to play at the elite level. 6.5/10

RCB Gordon Greer: My 34-year-old club captain. The wily Scot lacks pace but is in great physical shape and still has the technique that made him such a vital player at Brighton. Contract expires in 2015 but will not be receiving an extension. 8/10

LCB Terence Kongolo: Signed from Feyenoord in the summer for £2.1 million and has already justified that fee. Easily my best defender, though also my most reckless. Amazing dribbler, my answer to Mats Hummels. One goal so far. 8/10

LB Aaron Cresswell: Has had a decent season, but done nothing to suggest he can't be replaced if a better option presents itself. Wicked pace and an amazing cross, though he can't seem to manage any assists. 6/10

CDM Liam Bridcutt: My midfield anchor and future captain. Excellent awareness of the game, averages around 3-4 interceptions per match. Not as much of a goal threat outside the 4-2-3-1, but still dangerous on set pieces. 8/10

RCM Charles Aranguiz: I set a goal for Charles to rack up 10 assists this season, and he's got 7 in 19 games. A maestro on the ball, easily my best passer and playmaker. The focus of my side. My Xavi. 8.5/10

LCM Jordon Mutch: After an underwhelming start, racked up 2 assists in 4 games in December. Looks likely to retain his place in the starting XI and the club, but will need to impress more as he grows. 6/10

CF Nicklas Bendtner: At the start of the season, I said that 20 goals would be an excellent haul from Bendtner and would let Brighton finish mid-table. He has 19 in 19 so far, so his new target is to break Alan Shearer and Andy Cole's record of 34 goals in a season. Benefits from being played as a CF, so I have moved to a 4-3-3 false nine. Has 5 goals in 4 games in the system. 9/10

RW Will Buckley: With 8 goals and 5 assists, he seems likely to exceed the 10/10 figures I set for him at the start of the season. Fairly sure he would be excellent at CAM/CF/ST, but his pace and dribbling are best utilised from wide. 8/10

LW Kazenga LuaLua: Has underperformed with just 3 goals and 3 assists so far. Could very well have a good second half of the season, but is likely to leave in the summer for a decent fee. Lacks urgency in attack and consistency when played through. 6/10

          Substitutes

GK Alphonse Areola: Has played only 2 games, including one BPL start. Does not seem likely to make any further league appearances barring injury/suspension to Kuszczak, but will play in the FA Cup campaign.

CB Lewis Dunk: Has hit 70 OVR without playing very much across two seasons. First in line to take over from Greer at the end of the season or the first sign of lost form, but will play a limited role until then. Contract expiring in 2015, will receive a long-term extension in the coming days.

LB Adam Chicksen: Has been used sparingly, making just 8 appearances all from the bench. Will be allowed to leave if he requests a transfer.

CDM Rohan Ince: Was a crucial player during last season's promotion campaign but finds game time limited in the top flight. Will be allowed to leave on loan in the summer, with a decision on his future to be taken in summer 2016.

CM Jake Forster-Caskey: One of the few substitutes to make gainful contributions. Lacks in goals and assists, but has one of the best pass completion rates in the team (third behind Aranguiz and Bridcutt). Has made 5 starts in 15 appearances, with those figures likely to double by the end of the season.

RW Serge Gnabry: My most important substitute. Usually provides late runs and distractions to allow my better players to move into scoring position. Still young but has plenty of time to develop. A possible permanent replacement for LuaLua.

ST Yaya Sanogo: Has underwhelmed whenever he has come on, which has been rarely given Bendtner's form. Yet to score a goal this season but has three assists.

          Reserves

CB Adam El-Abd: A long-time veteran of Brighton, but has not featured so far this season at all. Contract expiring in 2015, so it's likely that he will never pull on the shirt again. The first bid in January will be entertained and accepted, or he is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club.

CM Pedro Azogue: Signed with every intention of playing a supporting role to Aranguiz, whose incredible form has kept him out of the season. Unhappy with his lack of playing time, but will be given the chance to impress after we reach the 40-point mark, or sooner if Mutch's form does not pick up by February.

LM Brennan Dickenson: A young talent with plenty of room for improvement. At this point, his only plus points are his pace and agility. Reasonable dribbling ability, but has not impressed when given the chance to appear.

ST Will Hoskins: Was allowed to leave in the summer but re-signed by the board due to a low squad number. Will be allowed to make a transfer to another club in January.

Hope you guys are enjoying the career so far. Keep your eyes peeled for a detailed scouting report at the end of the season – youth academy and first-team targets!

Alvarez came through to tie the game at 1-1 in the second half so I could salvage something. I then tied 0-0 against Murcia and seemed to be falling apart against Hercules down 0-3 with 20 minutes left ... but against all odds, my strikers teamed up. Beleck crossed it to Gaona Lugo for a header to make it 1-3 in the 72nd minute, then 4 minutes later Miguel made a high through pass to Gaona Lugo who downed it with his chest at the top of the box then hit it just hard enough past the keeper to make it 2-3. It didn't seem I'd be be able to complete the comeback but in stoppage time Beleck stole the ball from a defender near midfield, raced down the right side of the pitch and crossed another beauty towards Gaona Lugo on the far post for the HAT TRICK. It ended at 3-3. Gaona Lugo jumped all the way to third for most goals in the league while Beleck all but locked up the lead for assists.

Unfortunately our inability to win has put us back in 3rd place. Espanyol has clinched direct promotion and Osasuna is ahead of us by 3 points ... BUT THEY JUST LOST in their 40th game! Which means if we beat Recreativo we'll tie the bastards (who would win a tiebreaker due to their far better goal differential). I need to win out and hope Osasuna slips once more. This is KILLING ME.
Alright I have good news and bad news.

The good news, as you can tell, is that I'm still alive. I thought it was important to get that out the way so y'all would stop worrying. There's more good news in this post (sort of) but more bad news overall.

It all started with the game vs Recreativo which we lost, leaving us 3pts behind Osasuna. In our 41st games of the season, we beat Lugo while Osasuna could only muster a draw, so we went into the last game of the season only 1 point behind Osasuna for 2nd place in Liga Adelante and a direct ticket to Liga BBVA. In the ultimate display of suckitude, Alcorcon put on the choke job of the century by losing 0-3 at home to Alaves, effectively missing out on direct promotion to La Liga. Not be left behind, and to piss me off even more, Osasuna also lost, at it was at this point that I realized that Levante had been sneaking in behind us all along and it was actually them who finished in 2nd place. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

So it was set: (3)Osasuna vs (6)Almeria on one end (4)Alcorcon vs (5)Granada in the other. Of course we started the first game quickly getting down 0-1 and I really thought my team had hung them up, but next thing I knew the kid, Yamura, tied the game with an incredible left-footed shot from near the top of the box, and a questionable call minutes later allowed Gaona Lugo to put us ahead 2-1 on a PK. Serran put us ahead for good with a header of a corner later on but we gave up one more at the end to finish 3-2 in the first game. In the second game I didn't know whether to be pissed off or happy: we knocked around Granada to the tone of 3-0 and comfortably moved to the finals with an aggregate score of 6-2 (WHY COULDN'T WE PLAY LIKE THIS IN THE FINAL GAME OF THE SEASON?!?!?! . As faith would have it, we run into Osasuna, who barely squeaked by Almeria with a 2-1 aggregate score.

The first game of vs Osasuna saw us go ahead thanks to a beautiful pass from Lopez over the last line of defense to a sprinting Gaona Lugo, who shot a volley to the back of the net for an early 1-0 lead. Not long after that I witnessed quite possibly the worst moment of the season for the team, as Yamura suffered an ACL injury while clearing a dangerous ball off our box that will have him sidelined for 7 months. The 16-year old kid from Japan (rated 69 OVR) will now see his progress take a halt but we're hopeful he'll be back by the second half of next season. Of course, we ended up giving up a goal in the second half and finished 1-1, at which point the wife pointed out it was time to go to sleep and I wasn't able to play that final game

I'm under the impression away goals matter in this thing, so I'm approaching this final game as must win PERIOD. The more I think about it though, the more I feel like either team would really deserve the promotion regardless of our late struggles. Furthermore, I'm afraid my roster may not be ready to remain in La Liga and I'm not sure how flexible my budget will be this summer. These are all things I will discuss in my end of the season report. Until then, WISH ME LUCK!!!

Nerve wrecking! Hey remember: in football it's not about who deserves it the most, it's about who scored the most goals best of luck! Shame about the youngster. Pretty much last game of the season. One of the reasons why I decreased the injury slider to avoid those long term injuries. A 2-3 month injury I don't mind, but when they miss basically the rest of the season it's ruined for me.

                  AD Alcorcon 2016 Summer Review

Coach Del Barco's team will be looking to put last season disappointing finish behind with the goal of obtaining promotion to La Liga this time around. After managing a 1-1 draw at home against Osasuna, Alcorcon was unable to score on the second game, resulting in a 0-0 draw that saw Osasuna take the last promotion spot to La Liga for the '16-'17 season thanks to that away score.

Alcorcon has now spent most of the summer re-establishing a roster without much help from its board, and as a result some drastic changes have been made.

TRANSFERS OUT: CM Jose Manuel (56 OVR), sold for $100K; ST Gaona Lugo (64 OVR), sold for $1.2 million; CB Hector Verdes (63 OVR), sold for $135K; LM Rafael Lopez (71 OVR), sold for $2.2 million; CAM Vicente Lavado (53 OVR), sold for $75K ... GK Raul Parrela (51 OVR), loaned to MK Dons; GK Carlos Alberto (58 OVR), loaned to Stevenage; CAM Fabiao Pauleta (54 OVR), loaned to S****horpe Utd; CDM Jose Cruz (53 OVR), loaned to Vestsjaelland.

TRANSFERS IN:CB Martin Demichelis, bought for $110K; CDM Michael Essien, bought for $180K + Mikel Iribas.

Gone at the moment are over 30 goals scored last season between Gaona Lugo (sold) and Beleck, who is currently negotiating a contract with the team after Udinese accepted a transfer fee of $800K.

The team continues to go to the youth squad for answers due to the lack of funds from the board. Current roster:

Starters: GK Sebastian D'Angelo - 77 OVR, RB Fernando Navarro - 70 OVR, CB Serran - 68 OVR, CB Martin Demichelis - 69 OVR, LB Adama Traore - 71 OVR, CDM Michael Essien - 71 OVR, RM Jose Miguel(*) - 64 OVR, LM Lucas Aguirre(*) - 65 OVR, CAM Martin Acosta - 62 OVR, Alessandro Farago(*) - 66 OVR, Manuel Adolfo - 62 OVR

Subs: LM Sergio Prendes - 62 OVR, LM Dani Ponce - 62 OVR, CM Jose Vidal - 60 OVR, CF Francisco Moya - 60 OVR, CM Bruno Carmona - 60 OVR, CM Sergio Alvarez - 59 OVR, CM Dani Barrera - 58 OVR.

Reserves: CM Zeshin Yamura - 69 OVR(*)(INJ), CB Chema Rodriguez - 67 OVR, CAM Fabian Lopez - 57 OVR, CM Fernando Alonso - 55 OVR, CAM Luciano Couto - 52 OVR.

Players on the roster NOT acquired through the youth squad: starting GK and defense, Essien, Prendes, Ponce, Rodriguez.

(*) Denotes player that "has potential to be special" (it's also worth noting that Adolfo is regarded as someone "showing great potential").

It is clear now that Alcorcon wouldn't have been able to field a competitive team in Liga BBVA this season. Coach Del Barco is trying a different approach while having created expectations that he can help this team reach promotion.

My questions for you: Do you think I will be able to compete for the top spot of Liga Adelante with the current roster? What do you think of the moves made this summer? I will also welcome any suggestions you may have for me to improve the squad. THANKS.

Wow, how lucky am I to have a wife who lets me play just as long as I damn well please. One of those rare women out there, let me tell you!

Haha mine doesn't say anything about it, but I try not to play as much as I would if she wasn't there when she is around so as to not annoy her. I try to keep a good balance so that way she will never say anything, because if she does then I'd probably barely get to play

Well my xbox is in the bedroom so when she's going to sleep it feels wrong to keep playing.

I will, however, finish a game that I just started by giving her the guilt trip that quitting means a forfeit 0-3 loss (when in reality I could just turn off the xbox on the spot)

I have to admit that I'm a little bit defeated about how that last season went. Going from being on top at the mid-point season to missing out on the promotion the way I did took a lot out of me. It didn't help that my board won't even provide $500K in additional funds. It's clear to me now that if I'm gonna be successful here I have to build this team from the ground up. It's why I'm investing heavily on my youth squad. It is, 1) nearly the only way for me to acquire talent that I can afford and, 2) what will allow me to create profit by signing and developing players that I can later sell.

Looking at my roster now compared to at the beginning of last season, even though it's mostly compromised of guys who are under 20-years old the roster from top to bottom is better. I've been able to achieve this with no money. I am concerned that all of my experience is on the defensive side of the ball with no experience with the 5 guys up front. I'm lacking speed and goals might be hard to come by this season (GD was not my friend last season). I need to scout for defensive guys this season while maybe look to add some experience up front this winter if I don't have a good first half.

However, I will say that the lack of help from my board will at least allow me to be tempted if a really good job opens up. I don't know what it would take. I do like this challenge, I just wish I had some help from the board. I basically had to give up negotiating with Beleck because he was hardballing me and Navarro is asking for a raise and I can only do one or the other. Honestly, Navarro deserves the raise and him and Traore are my only speed weapons so I can't mess around with them.

Re: How's Your FIFA 14 Career Mode Going?

In my first year as manager of the Vancouver Whitecaps and the Indian national team, I just missed out on qualifying for the Asia Qualifier. It was crazy. I came in with two games left and a must-win against (relative) powerhouse Australia. We pulled the carpet out from under their feet and halted their (relatively better) speed and quickness by playing a possession game. We secured a 2-1 upset victory, with a nervewracking final 30 minutes after they cut the lead in half. Our keeper saved the day more than once, including in the 88th minute. I was sweating.

We then rolled southward needing only a draw against (relatively) weaker New Zealand. We had it all over them, and I was sure that we were destined to take this home. Then, late in the first half, a (not relatively) terrible call by the referee gave the New Zealanders a free kick just outside the box. It was chipped in, my defender completely lost his sense of direction, time, space, and worthiness, and their striker was left wide open for an easy header. No worries, I thought -- I've got a whole half to pot one goal on a weaker squad. Three (three!) shots off the woodwork and one gloriously blown breakaway chance later, and we were sitting on the outside looking in.

Heartbreak for sure. I made up for it slightly by securing a 3-1 victory over Chivas USA upon my return to advance to the MLS Cup Conference Semifinals, where we will face the league-leading Sounders. Not confident about our chances, but we've got depth on the bench after a few loans during the transfer season.

Just can't get New Zealand out of my head...

It's kind of the opposite with me. When my girlfriend (doesn't live with me) is at the house I can't play because I need to spend time with her, unless she's hooked on a show on Netflix or something. However, once she goes to sleep (if she sleeps over) THAT'S when I get my game time. She even bought me a sick pair of Turtle Beach headphones that I can use to play really loud without waking her. (Sound quality is superb)

She's accepted my addiction, I just need to find a balance -_- lol can't believe I haven't used the 0-3 excuse before! Haha
