I'm really excited about Watson. I plan to promote him next season as soon as he turns 16 since he's gone through his May update now. I couldn't believe that I was able to find him as my first youth signing with a 1 star scout.

Thanks! Like I said above, I'm extremely excited to call him up as soon as possible!

Back to the Glory of the Past

Gazzetta dello Sport, 28th June, 2014

Months of speculation came to an end when Internazionale revealed their new manager who will take over the club after Walter Mazzarri got fired. The new manager is no one else than the Special One himself, the beloved hero of Porto and Inter, Jose Mourinho. After an unsuccesful season at Chelsea the Portuguese mastermind has decided to spend a second spell in Milano. The fans were really excited and happy about the appointment of their ex-manager who won two Serie A titles, one Coppa Italia and the biggest trophy of them all, the Champions League. After his days of glory the Italian giants have been struggling and now the board have decided to rely on him.
We were at the press conference when Inter told about the appointment.

How does it feel to be back in Milano?

Just wonderful. I did many great things here and I was a very important part of the success. Just look at what happened after I left! Now I'm back here with the club I love doing what I love. The supporters have welcomed me really warmly and they are supporting me which is important.

What are you looking to do with Inter?

Bring back the glory of the years when I was here. I will win the treble again but first we will need to get to the Champions League. That is our first objective. Sadly I will have to spend this season in the Losers' Champions League because my precessor wasn't that good. But I promise you, people, Internazionale will lift the Champions League trophy in a few years!

Will you be able to succeed with this squad? You have always had really good and winning squads.

That is not true. If you ask me a question make sure you know what you're asking about. Just look at Porto, they had an aweful season before I came in and boom - they won the Champions League. The same will happen with this team.

Are you going to replace older players like Walter Samuel, Esteban Cambiasso and Javier Zanetti?

In the first season, no. But after that, I am not sure. All of those players you listed are great players and they have at least two years of good football ahead.

Thank you for the interview and welcome back!

No problem. It's nice to be again in Milano.

        Formation 3-5-2

        Handanovic
        Ranocchia, Vidic, Jesus
        M'Vila, Guarin
        Zanetti, Hernanes, Jonathan
        Osvaldo, Icardi

This would be a class lineup.

Maybe signing a Defensive winger like Jonathan that tracks back to defend and drop... (sigh) Zanetti to the bench.

        but it's you choice

I still am not sure about if I'll use 3-5-2 or 3-1-4-1 with the team. And I actually haven't started the career itself... so yeah. I will test the formations and get some transfers done.

I would probably swap Ranocchia with Samuel, M'Vila with Cambiasso and Icardi with Palacio. Zanetti is not getting dropped. That is a thing I have decided since shortlisting Inter. I just like to use club legends like Giggs, Totti and Zanetti. There will be more about the formation and lineups in the next update.

Palacio is arguably the most valuable forward at your club in terms of money. Try using him in a trade offer to get someone like Mandzukic or Torres. Also start Milito

Milito isn't part of the team, he was sold to Racing in Argentina. That means he will be put on their roster on the game aswell. He is also not on the squad list.

                Hoffenheim Monthly Report

Vs. 1.FC Nuremburg, 1-1: A solid game where neither team deserved to win. Near the end I took a magnificent shot but it hit off the crossbar. I wish the shot went in but a draw is fine with me.

                Hoffenheim Goals:
                58' Mosdeste

                Nuremburg Goals:
                45' Drmic

Man of the Match: Polanski, 7.7

Vs. Freiburg, 2-2: A game where I feel I should've won. I had a shot at the 86th minute but their goalie made a great save. At least I didn't lose.

                Hoffenheim Goals:
                29' Modeste
                31' Firmino

                Freiburg Goals:
                13' Fernandes
                39' Schmidt

Man of the Match: Firmino, 8.4

Vs. Hamburger, 1-1: Another tie!! Their goalie was a beast at the end. The refs almost lost the game for me with a penalty kick called when their player ran into mine when they had the ball. He completely missed though. After the game I loaned Ahmed Sassi to SK Sturm Graz and Tim Paterok to FC St. Fallen.

                Hoffenheim Goals:
                45' Modeste

                Hamburger Goals:
                45' Calhanoglu

Man of the Match: Abraham, 8.2

Vs. Borussia Monchengladbach, 2-2: Now I'm mad. There is no way that should have been a tie. The refs gave them a free kick at midfield in stoppage time (It was a bad call) and they immediately ran up the field and scored. I had the ball when I committed the "foul". I forgot to write down the goal scorers. I am 10th in the league with 4 points in 4 games. Firmino has grown into an 80 overall beast!!

he was sick for Inter. Icardi is your replacement for him, I imagine?

I see. I'm normally the same with keeping the experienced clubmen at the club until they retire. But I normally make them impact subs when they hit the mid to late 30's. I have tried a Inter Career Mode and thats what I did with players like Zanetti and Milito and it worked a treat.

                          S.S. Lazio Career Mode

                          Pre-Season Friendlies

                          Newcastle 2 - Lazio 0
                          de Jong (5)
                          Marveaux (85)

After an early goal from Luuk de Jong we were chasing the game for most of the 90 minutes. Sylvain Marveaux then doubled his sides lead late on in the second half to put the nail in the coffin. An early wake up call that European opposition will be difficult to beat.

                          Real Madrid 4 - Lazio 0
                          Bale (39, 44)
                          Benzema (65)
                          Ramos (79)

The first 20 minutes were fairly even with both teams having scoring chances. However a brace from Gareth Bale before half-time virtually ended Lazio hopes of a win and goals from Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos extended Madrid's lead.

                          Osasuna 0 - Lazio 4
                          Klose (17, 86)
                          Iturbe (31)
                          Cana (49)

Lazio's first win of the pre-season. Miroslav Klose scored early to culminate a brilliant counter-attack. Juan Manuel Iturbe scored a brilliant volley. Cana then scored from a corner before Klose doubled his tally with an excellent diving header. Lazio, for the first time in the pre-season looking like real Serie A contenders.

                          Pre-Season Thoughts
We had a decent pre-season winning against Osasuna but losing games against both Real Madrid and Newcastle. I feel we now know our strongest line up and hopefully with Candreva nearly fully fit, we will be able to put out our strongest team for the Supercopa in a few weeks. Our defence could be one of the strongest in the league and our attack at full strength will give even the best defences huge problems. Overall I think this season could be a good one and we could possibly mount a title challenge.

                          2013/14 Season Objectives
League - Qualify for the Champions League
Europa League - Win the Europa League
Domestic Cup - Reach the Round of 16

                          The Supercoppa Italiana 2013

It is the 18/8/13, the day of the Supercoppa Italiana between Juventus, the league winners, and Lazio, the Domestic cup winners. Both clubs with many new faces in their ranks this season, of course Lazio with a new manager in Mr. OJ. Let's see how they do.

                          Juventus
                          Manager - Masimilliano Allegri
                          Captain - Gianluigi Buffon
Key Player - Paul Pogba - The young French midfielder was outstanding last season and was instrumental in Juventus' league title triumph. It appears through the summer he only got better and will be looking to transfer his brilliant pre-season into a second Serie A title in a row.
                          Last Supercoppa victory - 2013

                          Lazio
                          Manager - Mr. OJ
                          Captain - Federico Marchetti
Key Player - Miroslav Klose - With Antonio Candreva's recovery delayed it appears Miro Klose will lead the Lazio attack. The German poacher will hope he receives the service he was given last season if he is, Lazio have a real chance of success in the league this year.
                          Last Supercoppa victory - 2010

                          Lazio 1 - Juventus 1
                          Stefan Radu (64)
                          Paul Pogba (70)

For 60 minutes Juventus dominated. They held the ball well and passed it around nicely whilst creating some good chances. However after a Lazio counter attack a corner was given. The ball fell to Stefan Radu outside the box and the Romanian smashed the ball past Gianluigi Buffon. However the lead was short lived and within the next 5 minutes, Paul Pogba finished a brilliant passing move by slotting into the bottom corner. Porto's manager, Feito, signed as new Australian national team manager

Spanish manager of FC Porto, Feito, has signed a one year contract with the Australian Football Federation. Feito, who is 100% focused at this moment in his season with the Portuguese team, have accepted the international contract due to the new FIFA rules, which permit a manager to have a contract with his team and with a national team too.

Feito was asked about his new job, and what he expected about his Australian team: "For me it's a great opportunity to work with a national team. They want to do a good World Cup, and at least, try to be in the Eight-finals round. We have to work hard for it, but there's a team with a good level and real possibilities."

Asked about his team, Porto, and the possibility of signing any new player in the winter transfer window, which is going to open tomorrow, he said: "We don't need more players at this moment really. Of course, it depends on the market, if we have the possibility of signing a player who could increase the level of our team, we'd try it, but it's not the idea. It's true that we have so much wingers and it's possible to see any of them leaving the team, but it has to be a good offer."

So, I'm gonna use one of my surnames as my manager name, as you can see.

Porto leads the league, but out of Taça Portugal

FC Porto is the leader of Liga ZON Sagres in the middle of the season. The "Dragoes" continue trying to win their fourth league in a row, but the high level of Sporting Portugal and the comeback of Benfica will maintain the emotion until the last matches of the league. Feito said that "We're all very close, Sporting is at a great level and Benfica has now recovered, so I think everything will be decided in the last month". On the other hand, Feito's team has been defeated by Marítimo Funchal in the eight-final of Taça de Portugal, "a big deception" for Feito, who was very confident on winning the Portuguese Cup.

The Champions League has been better for Porto than Taça. After finishing second in group A, the Portuguese team has reached eight-finals, and an amount of 11,000,000 € extra budget put by Porto's management and owners to improve the team. The matches and rivals will be anounced this January.

                                Transfer Rumors
Word is circulating that several clubs are preparing to put in bid for Morecambe GK Jon Kempin after his league leading 22 clean sheets last season. Morecambe are prepared to take the offers, but don't plan on selling unless the price is right. Kempin joined Morecambe last season from Sporting KC and made an immediate impact in goal.

Andy Parrish has expressed his potential desire to move on as he has found it difficult to adjust to life in Lancashire. His decision has not yet been made, but sources are reporting that he has met with manager, Tex Bumosix, to discuss his future with the club. While homesickness is the reason cited, many believe the arrival of Mark Ellis this season has caused Parrish to doubt his playing time for the coming season.

Tex Bumosix stated clearly in his end of season press conference that Morecambe would be looking to add depth to both the striker position as well as the center back spots. Morecambe has recently been linked with several players for each position. Strikers Chuba Akpom and Jeremy Brockie are said to be high on Bumosix's list of wants while center backs Kortney Hause and Jack Grimmer are also being heavily linked with the club.

It looks to be an interesting offseason for Morecambe as they prepare for the new challenge of the Football League One. With several new additions who agreed to terms last January, as well as potential new signings, Morecambe is looking like they intend to fight for much more than just avoiding relegation.
