Like I said, I wanted to get back to the roots like I did with Deportivo and stay out of England this time.

I still wanted to do a lower league with the goal being promotion. The first two I was looking at were Ligue 2, and Liga Adelante. With the recent careers of Indi and Chico though I decided to look elsewhere. I've never had a huge interest in Italy, so that left Germany. Now I know there are, and have been several German careers on here, but I have never done a Bundesliga career.

Want to try to aim for transfer targets like I did in Deportivo, mainly stick to country of origin, or grab from countries that are near by, or have other similarities such as language or culture. Luckily Germany is rich in talent, and having all of those smaller countries around, ESPECIALLY Belgium and Netherlands will be a huge pool to pick from. I won't limit myself to just those of course, but that will be the focus.

I looked around a bit and found a club with a great, fanatical supporter base, has a good sized stadium, and has some kits that I enjoy. I wont release who I picked just yet though.

    Tex Baumosix?
It is quite sad to end a story in such a bad spot - just promoted to BPL. However, I am more than certain that your new career mode will be fantastic.

You said fanatical supporter base, so I am going with Nürnberg. Hope to see it soon!

Yeah, that one is on my list, right behind AC Unity and GTA V. I'm hopefully getting it for my birthday in April, but that's a long way away at the minute. My friend has got it and compared it to the Arkham games, which I love. The new Arkham Knight will be one of the games I get this year, as will Uncharted 4 and of course, FIFA 16. With my playing of Destiny, Minecraft and Last of Us Remastered *cough, Chico, cough*, along with my revision there is lees time for FIFA. I will still aim to get a few updates every week though

You're talking about Far Cry and GTA but you didn't even mention me? I feel offended. Anyway, I out of the games you mentioned I have GTA (for PS3 and PS4) and Far Cry 4. I could get Uncharted when it comes out, who knows. I really recommend buying GTA and Far Cry. Both of them are great games with many things to do and they both have amazing graphics. You should get both of them.

Chico, I'll say the same thing to you. Get Far Cry 4, it's a very good game.

Yeah I could definitely see why the game is compared to the Arkham series. The Arkham games are some of my favorites though so I don't mind. SofM has the combat from Batman (with a lot more intense head chopping) and the stealth from Assassin's Creed, another of my favorites.

I don't have The Last Of Us yet sorry man! I have too much going on with Mordor and FIFA and then I also have Destiny and AC: Black Flag on the bench waiting for their opportunity. Then I also have The Walking Dead 2 with the reserves. One day Jamie. One day. Lol

Chico, I'll say the same thing to you. Get Far Cry 4, it's a very good game.

I've never been interested in actually buying GTA V but I'm beginning to get inclined to. Since I know it's a good game to just mess around and cause havoc I always considered it as a game to rent instead of buy. I've never played any of the Far Cry games I don't even know what it's about. Apparently you kill tigers and bears?

The story of GTA is interesting, too. There are many, many activities and a lot of missions and vehicles. You should buy it.

I also wasn't interested in Far Cry before buying the fourth one but it's amazing. Yes, you hunt in it but it's something like GTA in an exotic place.

                        Die Freibeuter der Liga

FC St. Pauli Announces New Manager

After a disappointing 8th place finish in the league last season, FC St. Pauli decided to part ways with Roland Vrabec and move in a new direction. Having played only 1 season in the Germany's top league in the past decade, the board of director's decided on an unprecedented move. They are bringing in the first non-German manager in the club's 104 year history. American, Tex Bumosix, will be given the reins after proving himself as an assistant in the MLS before making a move out of the country and taking over at Morecambe in England's 4th division. He achieved a league title before having it stripped due to the club entering administration, and St. Pauli swept in to bring over the promising young manager. With the club clearly looking for a change in footballing philosophy, will this move pay off?

The supporters, known for their liberal mindset, are open to the idea of a non-German manager. There is excitement, but they aren't getting their hopes up yet with the manager only having MLS, and English 4th division experience under his belt. Having achieved a near cult following over the years, the supporters take their club very seriously, and hope that Bumosix can lead them in the right direction after so many years spent in the 2nd and 3rd divisions.

                        Press Conference

Q: Congratulations on your new position as manager of FC St. Pauli. This is a club that has been around for over a century, but has had limited success in recent years, spending most of it's time in the second and third divisions of German football. Do you believe that you can turn that around and get this club playing consistent football in the top division?

A: If I didn't believe that then I wouldn't be the right man for the job. I know that this is a huge opportunity, but it is one that I am prepared for. My first head manager position had a disappointing end when the title was stripped from us, but it has only motivated me that much more to win a league title again. This is a new league, a new country, a new club, but I strongly believe that we have great pieces on the squad, and that my style and philosophy will transition nicely to what we want to achieve.

Q: Speaking of philosophy, what style of football will you be looking to implement at the club? Will there be a specific formation you will be favoring or aiming to build?

A: I want us to be a balanced squad. I want the back line to be strong and absorb pressure, a midfield that can play both ways, and attackers who can hit hard and fast going the other way. Counter-attacking will be a big emphasis. As they say, Rome wasn't built in a day, and we will have to build that over time. As far as formations go, looking at the squad there are several ways we could go. I think you will see different combinations throughout the year depending on each circumstance.

Q: With all of these new changes at the club, what do you think is the biggest change that has to be made in order to turn this club around?

A: We cannot accept losing. Obviously, these are professional athletes and each and every one of them hate losing. But, we can't have a "we'll get them next time attitude." There needs to be an urgency to win each and every match. Now I know we aren't going to go out there and roll out an entire season of wins, but we have the mindset that there is no other outcome for us besides 3 points.

                                AD Alcorcon - '20-'21 Season
                                February/March Update

                                League Match 23
Getafe CF - AD Alcorcon (1-2)
                                Farago 4'
                                Vergara 68'

                                Pablo Sarabia 90' (P)

Recap: solid win not too far away from home against a fellow Madrid-residing opponent. Glad that we had the 2-0 lead by the time a questionable penalty kick was awarded to the home team.

                                CL - Round of 16, 1st Leg
                                AD Alcorcon - Chelsea (1-0)
                                Morientes 50'

Recap: Spectacular game on all levels, especially by our back 4 keeping Chelsea at bay. Morientes continues to have a breakout season scoring the only goal of the game, but equally important was to not give up any goals at home. Great, great first step in this matchup.

                                League Match 24
                                AD Alcorcon - Rayo Vallecano(2-1)
                                Miguel 22'
                                Correa 41'

                                Rober 81'

Recap: Yet another win against one of our lesser Madrid opponents, who continue to always give us a tough time. 3 points is all that matters though.

                                League Match 25
AD Alcorcon - Athletic Bilbao (2-1)
                                Ibai Gomez 31'
                                Lopez 54' (P)

Recap: Ridiculous performance by Bilbao's keeper, Krul, who finished with 13 saves and a 9.1 game rating (and MOTM honors, of course). We really should had won by more but, again, 3 points is all that matters.

Recap: Don't mind if I keep winning by one goal, really, it shows our ability to win close games which isn't a bad trait to have. Even though we had beaten Valencia 4-0 at home in the season opener we knew they'd be a tougher opponent than that and they proved so in this game.

                                Melano 90'

Recap: I may have made a big mistake in this game. With the 2nd leg against Chelsea coming up in 3 days and after not getting a lot of rest coming in I decided to play the B team in this game. Ironic because we have previously stated the league is our priority but we felt we'd have to play the B team either in this game or at Chelsea and we figured this was the better matchup. Didn't work out that way, the guys never settled in and when Zaragoza finally broke through early in the second half it went downhill fast. Correa and Miguel subbed in after 70 minutes and Miguel's goal soon after gave us some hope but the offense wasn't really able to click and Melano put the dagger at the end. Very tough loss.

                                Lopez 72'

Recap: This was a big date for La Liga as the top 4 teams were facing each other (El Clasico was being played as well). Unfortunately, even though we had an 11-3 edge on shots (9-3 on shots on goal), we were unable to get more than 1 point. Soares Martins made a critical mistake trying to control a long pass facing the goal with Blandi pressuring him and the Argentinian stole the ball and subsequently scored to negate our dominance in the game. Hopefully Lopez was able to rescue a point for us. Barca beat Real Madrid.

                                League Match 29
Granada CF - AD Alcorcon (3-0)
                                Morientes 9'
                                Salawu 77'
                                Correa 80'

Recap: Granada had gotten away with a draw at our place earlier in the season so it was nice to have a dominant performance against them this time around. Morientes had a beautiful volley on the right side of the box off a chipped pass from Correa for the initial score and then Salawu, on his first game back from injury, scored off the bench to get us some breathing room which was extended shortly after by Correa. Nice to get back on the winning column.

                                Knoll 86'

Recap: Greatest. Game. Ever. We went from fear, to relief, to confidence, to dominance. When Malik scored back-to-back goals in a 9 minute span to give the hosts the lead we thought we may have severely underrated our opponent, but just a few minutes later we were tied at 2 and feeling good about our chances going forward due to a couple away goals. But boy did we add on to that. Correa, who if you haven't been paying attention is having the best season of his life, all but eliminated the Germans with his hat trick and Knoll even scored off the bench to give us a significant edge when we go back home. One of those games you always dream of.

2-1 was mostly the reigning score these last couple of months as we actually moved up from 5th in the standings but we're still looking up to the big boys. It's a small margin, as we've actually cut the Real's lead in half, but we need to continue to collect W's if we want to catch up, especially in April when we face both Real and Barca. These last couple of months are really going to test us. Fortunately we've had a couple strong performances in Champions too and we're definitely becoming a contender for the title at this point (after a shaky group stage). I'm all but sure we'll reach semis and may even play the B team in the 2nd leg. Besides Correa and of course Nico Lopez, academy-youngster Juan Morientes continues to shine and has officially kept the starting spot over Badile Salawu (also an academy product) who has had excellent games off the bench since coming back from injury. The board has suggested that we led Salawu go on loan but we'd prefer to use him as a supper sub in the midfield, though fellow academy product Dani Barrera and English standout Serge Gnabry also need playing time there.

In academy news unfortunately some youngsters have requested to be called up to the senior squad and have been granted their wishes although none of them is anywhere near playing time at this time. Here's the youth squad:
                                • Victor Jimenez (CM, 66-70 OVR, 86-92 POT): 17-year old from Spain described as an attacker. We're hopeful that he'll stick in the academy for the full season in order to give himself a better chance to be an impact player for us right away. A special talent.
                                • Mansour Haron (CB, 49-51, 85-91): 16-year old from Saudi Arabia who is physically strong, and when I say he's physically strong I mean that he's 6'6" and 198lbs. Oh yeah.
                                • Jacob O'Neill (RB, 53-57, 84-90): 17-year old from Australia who will more than likely play inside at CB due to his size (6'2") and lack of speed. He's described as defensive minded.
                                • Victor Velazquez (CAM, 62-66, 83-89): 17-year old Spanish prospect who reminds us of a young Leandro Paredes or Angel Correa. We want to keep him in the academy for the rest of the season.
                                • Jesus Aurello (ST, 53-57, 81-87): 16-year old from Mexico settled in as a striker. Described as technically gifted.
                                • Victor Jimenez (CM, 58-62, 74-80): 17-year old from Venezuela who is a defensive-minded midfielder. He needs to remain in the academy for now but we're not sure he'll want to stay in it for another full season given his age.
                                • Johnny Wilson (CF, 54-58, 74-80):16-year old from England who scouts compare to Farago. We're hoping he'll stick with the academy for another full season.
                                • Diego Rodriguez (ST, 48-50, 74-80): 16-year old from Mexico described as technically gifted. He projects as more of a sub for us but we're still hoping to speed up his development.
                                • Julio Gutierrez (LW, 53-57, 73-79): 16-year old from Spain who brings some speed to the pitch. He's settled at LW which is a great fit for him but he showed very little improvement in the academy last season so another full year here would be the best for him.
                                • Mohammed Almeshaugeh (CB, 38-40, 72-78): 16-year old from Saudi Arabia described as physically strong. Another defender standing at 6'2" but he's really raw right now so a lot of development in the academy would be key for him.
                                • Francisco Miguel (CF, 51-55, 71-75): 16-year old from Spain described as technically gifted but needs to remain in the academy for at least one more season.

                                * Denotes recent addition to the academy.

Wasl Al Harbi (RB, 50 OVR, 80-86 POT), Luis Martinez (ST, 53 OVR, 77-83 POT), and Cameron Jones (LB, 50 OVR, 76-82 POT) are the players recently promoted at their requests. They're mostly practicing with the scout team as of now. Unfortunately we suffered a loss when Damon Elliot (CF, 51-55, 70-74) left the academy without much explanation, he was surely going to be promoted to the senior squad after this season.

Current Roster (NOTE: We're officially a 5-star team!) (* Denotes player graduated from the youth academy):

Recap: In arguably Argentina's most embarrassing loss since a 5-0 trumbling by Colombia in Buenos Aires in September of 1993, Chile absolutely destroyed us in this one in what can only be described as payback for the 6-2 throttling we put on them a few months ago. They were a finely-tuned machine and there was not much we could do. This loss definitely put a lot of fans against me but the AFA still has my back. For now.

Recap: Fans cheered for us at the beginning of this game but with each passing minute that we didn't score against an inferior opponent they got antsy. Otamendi's goal got them back on our side but the boos were heard when Aristeguieta scored soon after. Fortunately any Messi score will result in cheers, and Dybala's score midway through the second half put the fans at ease for the rest of the night, though they certainly didn't leave cheerful and hopeful.

Recap: I'm sure glad we played this one on the road. The kid Reyna is certainly on my radar now after his hat trick, but it was especially his 2 early goals that had us worried. But Vietto's addition to the roster and the starting lineup proved valuable as he scored and assisted in the other 3 goals and we pulled a harder-than-anticipated victory in Lima.

Recap: I am definitely not in the fans' good graces after we gave them a scare for most of this game. Even though we clearly outplayed Paraguay it wasn't until Vietto's goal with 20 minutes left that the 60,000+ at the stadium had their worries somewhat lowered and Correa, subbing in for Messi late in the game, gave the fans some cheers with the game-winning goal. I'm winning, but winning isn't good enough for these fans, I need to dominate and we haven't been doing that but I feel like we're on the right track.

So with 4 games left to play we are all but in for the 2022 World Cup and just 2 points away from finishing as the best team in the qualifiers. If we're able to finish above everyone else it would certainly buy me some love from the fans. No more qualifiers for this season though so maybe they'll forget they hate me by the time we play again.

That is ALL for now. Do you think I can win La Liga this season? What about repeat as winners of the Champions? Could I pull off the double? LET ME KNOW!
