    • Review of signed players
    • Formation/tactics discussion
    • Storylines for Gakpe, Djilobodji, Veretout, Cataldi, Knockaert
    • Press conference discussing Marseille, Zulte-Waregem
    • Youth academy update

All my updates (matches/player stories/club developments) will no longer be from the third-person perspective of a newspaper/football website, but from myself as manager of the club in the first person. I was thinking about Moose's last video of the season, and how gripping it was to hear him talk about the Everton game as manager of West Ham, so I'm going to be following that same method. Reading match reports and player stories is boring without the boss' view on things, which is something we are all privy to as fellow managers (except Cruzerr, who's just a wee player).
It looks great man! Now you see what I mean by how long it takes to put together though haha. It does limit you bit as well on how much you can put out there. I'm going to try to keep it up, but we will see how it goes once I start getting into matches.

I'm not sure how Indi did his, but I made mine in Word and then screenshot it to upload a picture onto here.

I was considering them a while ago but could never get on board with their brown kits, but I think you will have a wonderful time with them! Fantastic choice.
That's what sold me during my research, their supporters seem absolutely amazing. Nearly 100% capacity in every home match despite not competing at the top of their league. Constantly at the top of the league in attendance numbers. I also love how the supporters, and the club itself take a hard stance against so many of the things that plague football in Europe. They were the first club in Germany to establish a set of fundamental principles.

            FC St. Pauli Fundamental Principles
            Spoiler

The brown kits put me off at first, but when I went in and looked at them I actually liked them. Plus their second and third kits are fantastic in my opinion!

Even though you came in and killed that tradition, I'm still looking forward to reading more of this career! The part that really made St. Pauli earn my respect, is when you pointed out that they have a really strong fan base despite playing mostly in the 2nd and 3rd division and only 1 season in the top flight in a decade. THOSE are true fans!
That's true, but they have at least had non-German assistants throughout their time. Plus, Jurgen put in a good word for me

The fans are what sold me without a doubt, read my reply to Indi at the top of this post to see more about what I liked about them!

Ah, OK. Mind me asking what region or city? Of course, being English and having patriotism and all that of course I would say if you could come back here. However, Germany is a beautiful country, as is the Netherlands and I hear lower house prices so there's that.

                  Exeter City F.C
                  FIFA 15 – Season 1

                  The Grecians

                  May

                  SkyBet League 2 Match:

                  Exeter City 3 – Cambridge Utd 0

                  EXE Sinclair (2’)
Jake Flannigan receives the ball from Albian Ajeti on the half-way line. Flannigan lofts a lovely ball over the defence into the path of Sinclair who controls the ball skilfully and he slots the ball past the goalkeeper. Cambridge look a little shaky.

                  EXE –Payne (45’)
Sinclair spots the run of Payne from the right. Payne receives the ball behind the defence and he’s not offside. Payne takes his time but manages to poke the ball into the near corner. Cambridge already look tired.

                  EXE – Grimes (75’)
Jamie Reid collects the ball from a clearance and sprints down the left wing. Reid crosses into the middle where the unmarked Matthew Grimes hits the ball first time into the bottom left corner.

Our Best Performer: Jake Sinclair (He got a goal and an assist. He had the most impact on the game and it could have been a lot different if he wasn’t playing.)

                  SkyBet League 2 Match:

                  Exeter City 1 – Morecambe 2

                  EXE – Sinclair (20’)
Sinclair has the ball on the half-way line and passes to Ajeti who then waits for Sinclair to run into space before slotting the ball back to him. Sinclair is one-on-one with the goalkeeper and Sinclair manages to poke the ball under the goalkeeper’s body and across the line.

                  MOR Devitt (PEN) (36’)
Laurence Wilson slots the ball into the path of Jack Sampson. No one manages to tackle him so Pym rushes out of goal to deny him but when Pym tries to get the ball, he just gets the player and it’s a penalty. No card for Pym and Jamie Devitt steps up for the penalty. Devitt stutters his penalty and snaps the ball into the left corner of the net.

                  MOR – McCready (73’)
Jack Redshaw wriggles away from Craig Woodman and slots the ball into the path of Tom McCready who smashes home past Pym.

Exeter City’s Player of the Year:
                  Graham Cummins

Graham has been amazing thoughout the year and was a set back a little by his injury and the new signings in the later part of the season but there is still no arguing that he is a top-knotch player.

                  Press Conference:

Q: You’ve won the Manager of the Season Award and that’s amazing considering that it is your first ever season as a manager.

A: I never expected that I would be so successful this year! It’s been a real pleasure to work with the lads and the whole club and I wish it lasts for as long as possible.

Q:What’s the latest on Scot Bennett?

A: I regret to say that Scot Bennett will be leaving in the next transfer window. He’s been a great asset to the team and I hope that he goes to a club that will appreciate him and get plenty of play time.

Q: I’m sure you’re a little disappointed to lose to Morecambe on the last match of the season. How do you think you’ll do in League One?

A: I was quite disappointed when we lost that game. I always want to finish on a high and that wasn’t. The lads better learn from this and realise that they can’t be complacent when I’m manager at this club. Obviously, we had already won the title but it’s always a boost in morale when we finish games off.

                  Career Record (W: D :L): 32-12-6
Win Percentage of this Year: 64%

Hopefully eveyone enjoyed my first season! Any feedback and comments are welcome!

Great season! Such a close battle with Portsmouth at the end, glad you were able to take home the league title. Bad news about Bennett though. That guy was my captain even in the Premier League.

Good luck in League 1 now! I hope you can keep moving up.

                      Match 20
                      QPR 2-3 Swansea
                      Shelvey 37'
                      Shelvey 45'

                      Vargas 53'
                      Austin 56'
                      Gomis 77'

                      MOTM: Jonjo Shelvey

Our New Year's day fixture was at Loftus Road facing QPR. Shelvey played a one two with Bony and had his shot saved. He was able and alert to put it in at the second attempt though. Shelvey got a 2nd right on halftime when Bony pressured Caulker into a hurried back pass and Green touched it straight to Shelvey who buried it. Vargas pulled one back in the 53rd minute. Austin then put one in 3 minutes later. Gomis came off the bench to score after being put through by Shelvey. A much needed 3 points.

                      FA Cup Round 3
                      Swansea 1-4 Manchester City
                      Dzeko 6'
                      Toure 9'
                      Aguero 14'
                      Bony 40'
                      Nasri 73'
                      Nasri 88'

                      MOTM: Samir Nasri

A tough task against City was in front of us today and it got off to a terrible start when Dzeko used his strength to get by our defense and he blasted it into the net laying down an early marker. Toure however got himself sent off 3 minutes later after a horrific challenge on Sigurdsson. Ageuro proved they'll be hard to beat even with 10 men speeding through the defense and coolly finishing. Shelvey had a shot go just over the crossbar showing signs of a fight back and Bony confirmed them when a loose ball fell to him outside the box. He had space to dribble into the area as City's defense was in dissaray and he slammed home the ball for his 15th in all competitions. Silva picked out Nasri across the box and he finished it top corner first time. Nasri added a 2nd and City's 4th when Lampard's pass split our defense and he had an easy finish.

                      Match 21
                      Swansea 0-3 Chelsea
                      Fabregas 61'
                      Oscar 67'
                      Luis 68'

                      MOTM: Petr Cech

Chelsea came today as we looked to avenge the 5-0 hammering they gave us earlier in the season. Ings made his debut after a £3.5 million move from Burnley. We had a good first half and it was 0-0 at the break. Fabregas came on and made a difference. He scored the opener on 61 minutes. He reversed his run leaving open space in front of him to finish in off the post as Williams tried to get across. 6 minutes later Oscar doubled the lead when Hazard pulled it across the goal and he put it away well over Fabianski. Matic was clearly offside when he received the balk before laying into Luis' path and he placed it past Fabianski. We played well better than the scoreline suggested and Cech was unbelievable making 10 saves. We dominated with 15 shots and 11 on target with Chelsea with 10 and 5 on target. A worry though is that Bony picked up a pulled quad and is out for a month.

                      Match 22
                      Swansea 3-0 West Ham
                      Gomis 15'
                      Dyer 52'
                      Sigurdsson 88'

                      MOTM: Angel Rangel

Looking to get back on track with 3 points we faced the Hammers. Gomis made the most of Bony's injury and scored 15 minutes in with a outside of the boot finish into the corner. Dyer made it 2 speeding away from Tomkins' attempted challenge out wide. He then shot confidently past Adrian into the net. There was bad news for new signing Ings as he picked up a broken toe joining Bony on the sidelines. Sigurdsson finished off a fine game with an acrobatic finish 2 minutes from time. Redmond made his debut off the bench also.

Danny Ings is out for 3 months.

                      Match 23
                      Southampton 4-4 Swansea
                      Emmes 18'
                      Long 23'
                      Long 24'
                      Emmes 36'
                      Dyer 67'
                      Dyer 71'

                      Tadic 74'
                      Pelle 82'

                      MOTM: Marvin Emmes

Sigurdsson got a bruised elbow in the 5th minute from a bad Wanyama challenge. Emmes put in a rebound from Dyer's shot for his first goal for the club. Long bagged 2 in the space of a minute to put Southampton ahead. Tadic struck a penalty off the post unable to put his team 2 ahead. Emmes got his 2nd with a tidy first time finish from a Dyer through ball. Dyer got 2 himself speeding away from the defense and finishing both times. However a short goal kick went straight to Tadic for him to get another back. Pelle then tied it at 4 apiece to end the game.

Gylfi Sigurdsson is out for 8 days with a Bruised Elbow.

                      Player of the Month

                      Nathan Dyer

The speedster had a great month with 5 goals and 2 assists. His pace and dribbling caused defenses huge problems and he has really settled in the CAM role.

                      Press Conference

                      Q. 2 wins, 2 losses and a draw this month, how do you feel it went?

                      A. Well I think we had 2 good wins. West Ham are a good side and QPR pushed us all the way, so I'm happy we picked up those 6 points. The 2 losses were against 2 of last seasons top 4 so I'm not extremely disappointed with them. The draw against Southampton is a game I feel we dropped points in. We did everything right in attack but unfortunately left in 4 goals effectively canceling out the good work Marvin (Emmes) and Nathan (Dyer) did up front for us.

                      Q. Jonjo Shelvey was subject to many offers this month, why didn't you let him go?

                      A. Isn't it obvious? He's been in incredible form and central to our season, also leading the league in assists, so we want to keep him! If he was going if would have to be for a big fee and none of the teams interested in him were willing to pay so it's their loss and our gain.

                      Q. How do you think your new signings have done?

                      A. I think they've done very well. Danny (Ings) was brought in to add more pace to our attack, unfortunately the injury has sidelined him for 3 months, but he'll be a great player. Saido (Berahino) was brought in to replace Ings after suffering that injury. He will also be a great player in years to come. Jack (Butland) is here to provide cover for Lukasz (Fabianski) in goals. Nathan (Redmond) was bought to replace the aging Routledge, who went the other way, but I believe he can play in the CAM role in the future, much like Nathan (Dyer) and Jefferson (Montero) are doing at the moment.

                      Q. Is there any update on Bony's situation?

                      A. He is recovering well and the physios say he should be back in action for the West Brom game next month.

                      Q. Speaking of next month, what are your targets?

                      A. I want to get at least 9 points out of the 12 available. I would prefer 10 or 12 but I'd be happy with 9.

Thanks for reading! Any feedback is appreciated!

Can I just say how much I actually love this forum?

See, the one thing I like is that everybody is TRYING to improve in different areas. I see people always picking up on others ideas and I absolutely love it. The passion on this forum is like none other and it actually makes me want to post, not that I feel like I need to post.

I managed to get to U19 level for India, so I've played with guys like Virat Kohli (he's a gem but that girlfriend of his is bad news) and Rohit Sharma (lazier than me but more talent in his left pinky than in my whole body). Things never really went beyond that, mostly because I didn't have the right mindset for the top level. The closest I ever got was being called up with some of the other U19 lads to train with the senior side once or twice, but I was never part of the squad. That was ages ago, when Tendulkar and Dravid were still at the top of their game. I've since left cricket except for my club games. Now I focus completely on my PR career.

I have Indian citizenship and permanent residence in the UK. I was a PR of the US as well, but I decided to let that lapse. Don't see my future stateside, and it's easy enough to get a visa for work/pleasure anyway thanks to my UK status. For passport purposes, I'm Indian, but I feel every bit as British as you mate! England's been my football, rugby and cricket team since I was a lad. I would have loved to try to play cricket for them, but I never qualified unfortunately. So yeah, moving back is the most likely option, especially since my family owns property in Essex, Cornwall and Hampshire. Though my wife adores life in Germany. She studied in Bonn, Amsterdam was her summer getaway. That's why the other options are still open.

Ah cool to know I personally enjoy cricket, unlike many in this country who think it is boring. I don't follow it actively but I know who are the good teams and the best players, and I keep up with the England team so I know what you're talking about. It's interesting to see how good you were at cricket. If you had kept at it, do you think you would be playing professionally? Why didn't you qualify for England?

Hampshire is a beautiful place. I myself unfortunately live in an urban area instead of the countryside, however it has it's upsides I live in the West Midlands in Coventry, which used to be the capital city. Interesting fact of the day.

There's a good chance I could've been playing for India these days, if not regularly then 10-20 games a year at least. I certainly had the talent to do it, but back then I was a bit weaker mentally. You know, trying too hard to show off rather than play well for the sake of the team. I was pretty dedicated in terms of nutrition and fitness by UK standards, which meant physically, I was miles ahead of pretty much everyone in the U19s except Virat and another guy named Iqbal Abdullah. I think I messed up too many times with the selectors watching, but it would have been nice to have at least had a chance. I don't regret it, though. I play every week and do batting workshops at the local academy near my place, which the kids really get into once I tell them who I played with!

These days, you can qualify through schooling, but back then it was either citizenship, residence or ancestry. I think I might have qualified through residence, but I couldn't get the development I needed at the youth level there to make it count. That's a big part of why my dad moved us back to Chennai. He was made up when I got called up to the U19s, and nobody was more hurt when I got the call saying not to wait for a senior cap. I qualified through my mum to play for NZ, and they were ready to give me a trial, but if it couldn't be India or England for me, I didn't want any part of it. Might have been bitter about it, because I also shot down a chance to trial with Hampshire CC. Who knows what might have happened then? Still, no regrets. Life's been good to me in other ways.

Never been to Coventry, but I hear it's a great place with loads of culture all around. I've seen photos, but I doubt they do justice to the city.
