Yea it sucks trying to find good football to watch here. All we have is the Premier League, Champions League, some FA cup and that's pretty much it. But starting next season I think Fox picked up the Bundesliga. So hopefully they have similar coverage to what NBC does with the Premier League. Which is play like 5 games every weekend. With 4 being on FS1 (2 Saturday, 2 Sunday) and one being Saturday on Fox.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Woah! Random trivia time! I was reading back through some really old pages from around when I started posting in this thread and found something really interesting regarding one of the longest running careers here.
Question: In Vrabbit's Alcorcon career he did NOT start at Alcorcon. What club was he at prior to accepting a job with Alcorcon in his second season?Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Am I the only one who would actually say that the TOTY is absolutely fine? I wouldn't change anything about it. I could name a few players who could actually make a good shout for it (Koke, Turan, maybe even Hazard), yet this team is great just how it is.
That is my opinion. Soon I think Cruzerr will make a good part of it aswell.Comment

I also took a look at some of the older pages (around the 220 mark) and I felt a little bit sad when I was reading Tex's Deportivo career, Indi's Brighton one and my first Hertha career. It feels like those times were years ago.-Simppu12-

Be honest. Do you really think that David Luiz was the best centre back last year? Or the best after Ramos and Silva?
It's a bit weird how pretty much every year there is at least one player in the team of the year who doesn't deserve to be there at all. I guess the people who decide these things don't follow that much football... or maybe they like the oil money from Qatar.-Simppu12-

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Boca Juniors! I think. I remember that it was a South American team and I know that Rabbit bought Paredes in that career and he also likes Boca. So Boca Juniors is my final answer.

Ahh good old Deportivo. I do miss that career. As weird as it was, I stopped that career because I got too successful haha. Once I got a big budget I felt like I had to spend it, and ended up with a squad of super players that just didn't feel right.
That was the reason I dropped down the League 2 for a while since it takes so much longer to build up.
Wish I could go back and do things differently in the Deportivo career though.Comment

Oddly enough I was not able to win a single title at Boca Juniors. Did win the 2014 World Cup with Colombia though but I was playing on pro at the time. I play on World Class now.Last edited by vrabbit; 01-12-2015, 04:07 PM.vrabbit

I just checked UEFA and Luiz is not in it, da ****. OHHHHH, I just realised that I was checking the users one out, it looked great.
Hold up, let me check this one out.
Manuel Neuer
Philipp Lahm, Sergio Ramos, Thiago Silva, David Luiz
Angel Di Maria, Toni Kroos, Andres Iniesta
Arjen Robben, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo
I AM SORRY, what just happened. Where is Alaba? Where is Zlatan? Where is Godin?
This is so, so wrong.Comment

It would be interesting to put together everyone's biggest careers. Should we do it? Everybody, what was the biggest/most interesting/most successful/the best career you did and posted here? Let me know and we can do a list of them. Mine has to be my Hertha Berlin career in FIFA 14.-Simppu12-

Simppu - Hertha
Tex - Deportivo/Morecambe
Chico - Wimbledon
Vrabbit - Alcorcon/Daggenham
Jamie - Liverpool
Indi - Brighton
Moose - Westham
Solarios - Wigan
Others like Keano, Kenny, Cruzerr, etc. can also be added. I just wasn't sure if you wanted to put their current careers or another one as their biggest so far.
Bear with me as well guys, don't forget I missed a good chunk of time when I disappeared for a while and a lot of people came in during that time.
And then now there are a lot of people with careers that have a great chance to go the distance. I know there are several that I following closely that I think will be just as memorable as any other one that's been in this thread.
Feel free to add ones to the list, I only just started it, obviously nowhere close to done. Also, feel free to disagree with any of the choices above on those people.Last edited by texasbum06; 01-12-2015, 04:27 PM.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
My best CM was Wigan Athletic.. It had this... 'feel' to it that I never had with any other CM. Got promoted in my first season, starting the second I was in the relegation zone for most of the season until I had a few wins at the end of the season to get into mid table. Then in my third season, made some good signings. I was winning most games, I was evening simulating a few and winning. I was in top 2 for most of the third season and I won the PLSave file got corrupted and now every CM ever since doesn't feel the same.

My reasoning is pretty simple - I've read back a bit on this thread, and to see that some of you still have the same passion since you started from early stages, is amazing to me.
I believe that I could, one day, actually have a big career mode, but it really isn't at this moment something that I am surely aiming on and it isn't something that I had with the single season at Everton and Bilbao. Right now, I want to just play and post, and hope you lads enjoy it.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
And from what I remember you had striker problems, right? Not enough strikers or you didn't have enough strikers in the team?
That's the same reason why I stopped my Hertha career a couple months ago when I had Ronaldo in the team and I was beating everyone by three goals. I have to say that I loved my Hertha career on FIFA 14. I played it until 15 came out and I remember finishing the season and posting the last update a day before FIFA 15 came out. I still remember my starting eleven except for the goalkeeper. I had Carvajal, Schär, Ginter, Alberto Moreno, Matic, Bale, Stocker, Kovacic, Depay and Müller. I miss that career. I miss your Deportivo one, too.

Sigh.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going. I could write about 50 other cliche proverbs that could explain my situation, yet I don't think there is a need.
When you are injured, it isn't the fact that it is painful that bothers you (atleast it isn't for me). It is the fact that something was taken from me - my chance to play ball. Twice.
Watching the team play on the sideline was rather rough aswell. We got knocked out of the F.A Cup by Portsmouth and from the Capital One Cup by Tottenham Hotspurs. Sitting there and just looking how the team loses is bad. Looking at Bentley while it all happens is even worse.
But, again, I put in time. Got hit, got up, got hit again - still swinging. If these League 2 players think they could take the best striker in the league out just like that - they were wrong.
A quick summary on how the games went when I was away:
vs Portsmouth (FA Cup) 1-1 [D]
vs Tottenham Hotspurs (Capital One Cup) 2-0 [L]
@ Exeter City 2-0 [L]
@ Portsmouth (FA Cup Replay) 1-0 [L]
vs Transmere Rovers 1-1 [D]
@ Tottenham Hotspurs (Capital One Cup) 3-1 [L]
vs Mansfield Town 1-1 [D]
Fly Sampson, fly!
My first game back was against Newport United. I missed the game against them last time. Guess why? I was injured.
The game started rather badly, they got on a good attack through the right side and crossed it in. Huwe was open in the middle and put the header right past our keeper. We were down rather quickly. As I looked to the manager, I could see it in his face that he wanted me to step up.
As the game went on, I got onto the ball and dribbled into the box. The defender tried to pull me from my shirt, but I broke through and hit it right next to the front post. We were back in it! Second half, some good passing play got me in the box, where I did a step back, crossed it in and Sampson managed to head it in! My second assist this season. We had now got the lead, with just 30 minutes to go. Newport went all out, just to get the tie. Yet it did not help them.
They sent too many men upfront, which left me open on the half-way line. As the pass came in and we went on a counter, I ran like a cheetah running for its pray. It was just me and the keeper, and I made sure that I didn't miss. 3-1! That was the final score. Again, just like last time, I came off the injury strong.
Like I said - defender over me, yet nothing but net
The week after Newport, we went up against Dagenham. After such a strong performance, everybody felt pretty confident going up to this game, especially me. I want to put those injuries to the past and really let people see that my play is something that speaks volumes. The game itself was rather difficult, both sides were going at it and creating chances, yet could not put them away.
I got a chance to take a free-kick for the first time ever. Safe to say it will be the last time until I actually practise more. However, in the 76' minute, I got the ball on the left side, ran into the box and finessed into the corner! 1-0! The shot itself was really difficult, with the defender all over me, yet I got it off and managed to score.
The game ended 1-0 aswell. The best part about the win, was the fact that I didn't play much last time against Dagenham. I got to show them what kind of a player I really am.
Threading the needle
The third game of the month was against Shrewsbury, a one we had to win. Both Morecambe and Shrewsbury had 53 points at the time, sitting at third and forth places, our goal difference was better.
Our first chance of the game came in the 8' minute as Williams played me a through ball, I broke into the box and hammered it in! 1-0 up very quickly! The shot itself was difficult - I was between 3 defenders, yet that just made the goal a lot better.
We didn't go up for long, as they got the goal back. Some good passing got Vernon open in the box and he put it away. It was a really nice goal, he did a quick turn and shot a rocket to the top corner. No wonder Roche did not save it.
That was pretty much the game though - both teams only got one shot on target. It shows how good were the defenders, I guess.
Must have hurt badly. Get well soon, Cooper!
After the last game, we went to face Burton Albion, a team we beat compfortably at the start of the season. However, this time, they came to play. We were pressured early, couldn't get many chances in. My chance did come to take the lead, yet I managed to hit the post, right outside from the box.
After they gave a huge cross into the middle, there was a scramble for the ball. I couldn't see anything what was happening, yet suddenly, Phillips was up and shot it past our keeper.
Down 1-0, Bentley wanted us to focus again and to take the lead. Again, a great ball came into the box, I smashed it - it hit the crossbar. I think somebody changed my boots and I left my scoring boots home that day. They even were down to 10 men at one point - Cooper got taken out and sadly, injured aswell. I guess I am not the only one struggling with injuries.
Our last chance of the game came in the 90' minute, as I gave a cross inside to Sampson, yet he missed an open net. That was it - we lost 1-0. Gutted, as the whole team were in it, yet we could not put the game to bed.
I have no idea how I got that far in
Our final game of the month left us facing York City, a game we needed to win to get back to the promotion area. It started rather badly - York took their first chance of the game, as some guy, sporting the number #10 got open in the box and scored it right past our keeper. How he got into the box was beyond me - he just somehow dribbled right past everyone.
However, I got the ball, dribbled into the box, defenders were pushing me. I thought about going down and getting a penalty, yet I figured there is no point. I somehow still had the ball and I put it away. We were right back in it! 1-1!
That was the game though. I got subbed off at half-time, Bentley told me to hit the showers, he didn't want to risk it with all my injuries. I guess he is kinda right. Coach knows best.
That is all for this month. We got a difficult March ahead of us, hopefully we can do well and go up a few spots.
Take care!
Spoiler
Oddly, people guessed 6, 4, 3 and 2, yet nobody guessed 5. I guess Cruzerr will remain unchanged for now. :P
This is the full list on what you can change. YOU CAN CHANGE ONLY ONE THING! EVERYTHING IN THE BRACKETS NEXT TO THING IS WHAT YOU CAN CHANGE WITH IT.
For example, if you change the eyes, you can change the shape, detail and the color of them; not just one of them. :P
Spoiler
Kit Name
Kit Number [can't change it for the next 1 post due it just being changed by sportsfreak]

Nose (placement, style, profile, nostrils and its detail)
Cheeks (placement, shape)
Mouth (position, lips, lip style)

Ankle tape and its colour
Kit Fit
Waist (untucked, tucked)
Sock height
----
Free kick style
Penalty kick style
Default running celebration
Signature running move
Right, so now a new one!
The month of March could be a big one for Morecambe if they want to continue their fight for promotion/playoffs. They will face 5 opponents:
Northampton (7th in the league)
Cheltenham Town (10th in the league)
Bury (4th in the league)
Accrington Stanley (23rd in the league)
Carlisle United (15th in the league)
Morecambe are currently 6th in the league. My question is: How many games (if any) will Morecambe lose in the month of March?
Thank you for reading this post, I hope you had a good one!
