Stupid Liverpool thinking they're better than you! Haha I have no doubt you will be in front of them by next month though. Good to see Bale is as good as advertised for you so far. You're attacking options are just insane! Outside of Bale/Benzema, who has been your favorite to attack with so far this season?

Oh man I can't believe you missed out on that 6th spot. I thought it was yours for sure! What a crazy last match of the season though, 8-0! Carry that form over into next season!

Man that was an up and down month. I really like what you did with the transfers though. A lot of players who can help now/in the future as well. Your squad is shaping up nicely and I'm sure the results will start coming sooner rather than later.

Congrats on the league cup! What a crazy game! We seem to have a lot come down to penalties around here haha, which is awesome due to the drama. That was a great month though, other than that random match against West Brom, no clue what happened there lol.

Man what a heart-breaking end to the season. Great wins over Barca though, but that Liverpool match is just devastating. I'm glad to see you are aiming for the treble next year though. I think you will be able to challenge for it for sure!

I just got so burned out from the game that I needed to take some time away from everything involving FIFA really. In the entire time I was gone I only played 1 game of FIFA and that as it. I went back and read the war haha, it made me sad that I missed it.

Tex what did you think of Salawu's goal? To be able to score that against Courtois/Barca was just awesome!

It was amazing! It reminded me of one I got with van Nieff, but then I went back and rewatched it over and over again and realized yours was from way further back than his. Such a perfect strike, and to hit it on the bounce like that!

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

              A NEW Beginning update.

Man U. Is terrorizing the BPL. But there were a couple of matches that were draws. We are up 7 points on Spurs, and the transfer window has been bustling. Transfers out De Gea who was homesick, I also loaned out my top youth academy prospect just to get more pt. But the blockbuster deal was (by way of Simppu) was player swap deal Di Maria in exchange for Bale. We also brought in Matuidi to sure our middle and back.

We have an upcoming league match with West Ham before the two legged Capital One Cup semi with Stoke. The absolutely destroyed Everton 5-0 at Goodison Park. It was Dynamo for Lacazette who had four goals in the first half (I have a lot of pinned up anger towards this club, they were always eliminating me from Cup matches seemed like every Fifa including this CM with Man U the previous season in the FA Cup semi at Wembley. More coming later, what can say I can't get enough of Fifa right now.

                AD Alcorcon - '20-'21 Season
                Roster Review

(* Denotes players graduated from the youth academy)

                Starters
GK - Cristian Bonilla (86 OVR), 7.5/10: Tough to grade the 28-year old from Colombia. He was brought in as an upgrade to Sven Ulreich but he actually ended with less clean sheets than Ulreich had last season. Still, he was voted as a member of the league's Starting XI so he gets some props for that. He had some really good games. 17 clean sheets. 58 apps.
RB - Mattia De Sciglio (85 OVR), 8/10: Everything that we hoped for when we gave up on academy product In Sung Jo to acquire the 28-year old Italian mid way through the season. He was a constant threat on the right side in the attack and also an excellent defender and we look forward to seeing him for a full season. 2 assists. 28 apps.
RCB - Jherson Vergara (81 OVR), 8/10: The 27-year old Colombian keeps getting better for us every season and had his best season with us improving on defense and becoming more of a threat on set pieces. He also was named to the league's Starting XI. 5 goals. 54 apps.
LCB - Rafael Soares Martins (83 OVR), 8/10: The 25-year old team captain from Portugal found himself back in the league's Starting XI after failing to make the cut last season for the first time since the team joined La Liga for the '17-'18 season. Just another solid season on both sides of the ball while he continues to improve. 2 goals. 55 aps.
LB - Cristian Ramirez (77 OVR), 8/10: Much like De Sciglio Ramirez came in mid-season and fit in with the team right away. The 26-year old from Ecuador is the fastest player on the team which allows him to be a menace on both sides of the ball. 3 assists. 24 apps.
CDM - Giannelli Imbula (85 OVR), 8/10: The 28-year old from France had a great first season with the club, becoming a sponge in the defensive midfield and showing some skills on the attack. 3 goals and 1 assist. 55 apps.
RM - Juan Morientes (80 OVR)*, 8/10: The 20-year old from Spain was undoubtedly the best young player in our squad, taking over this starting spot due to an injury to Salawu and running away with the job with some big time goals. He's the leader of the competition at this spot heading into next season. Has Potential To Be Special. 6 goals and 5 assists. 43 apps.
LM - Jose Miguel (80 OVR)*, 8/10: The 23-year old from Argentina had very solid first season as a starter for us after being patient and serving as a sub and even reserve for us for several seasons. He did nothing to lose his job here. 7 goals and 7 assists. 55 apps.
CAM - Angel Correa (86 OVR), 9/10: Last season Correa finally broke through as one of the true stars of the team and this season he took his game to another level. The 26-year old from Argentina was a force to be reckoned with in virtually every game this season. 21 goals and 15 assists. 55 apps.
RS - Alessandro Farago (83 OVR)*, 8/10: The 21-year old from Italy had a breakthrough season after 3 straight solid seasons for us. He's finally become a bonafide attacker and he's as lethal shooting as he's passing, as he demonstrated by leading La Liga in assists with 12. Crazy that he was almost sold this past winter. Has Potential To Be Special. 16 goals and 17 assists. 52 apps.
LS - Nicolas Lopez (85 OVR), 9/10: Last season Nico joined midseason and took our team to another level. Although he was unable to sustain the scoring pace had last season he was still able to win the Pichichi with 19 goals as well as be the overall top scorer for the squad and that makes him our team MVP for this season. 25 goals and 13 assists. 54 apps.

                Subs
CF - Maximilian Knoll (79 OVR)*, 7/10: The 21-year old from Germany repeated the outstanding performance he had last season while continuing to improve his game and is a constant on the field for us. He'd love to be a starter but also accepts his current role. Has Potential To Be Special. 7 goals and 4 assists. 45 apps.
LW - Badile Salawu (81 OVR)*, 7/10: The 20-year old from Nigeria was having a steady season as the starter at RM before a broken tailbone took him out for 4 months, opening the door for Morientes to show his talent and took over as a starter. However, Salawu came back from his injury better than ever and performed well enough to earn the opportunity to compete for the starting spot next season. An Exciting Prospect. 4 goals and 5 assists. 36 apps.
RW - Serge Gnabry (76 OVR), 7/10: The 25-year old from Germany had a very fine season settling in as a regular sub for us and shining with the B team. He's the perfect guy to bring off the bench, especially when a fresh breath of attack is needed. 5 goals and 2 assists. 37 apps.
CM - Dani Barrera (79 OVR)*, 6/10: The 21-year old from Argentina may become a candidate for sale this coming summer since he's most effective at CAM where Correa barely comes off the field. He played a lot on the right and left sides of the midfield this season but isn't as effective there. Has Potential To Be Special. 2 goals. 28 apps.
CDM - Roberto Damian (74 OVR), 6/10: The 24-year old from Venezuela was not his usual self this season and may be starting to wish he received more playing time. He could be sold this season depending on what the team decides. He's still a very good defender but his form has dropped. 2 assists. 21 apps.
ST - Hiroya Imada (72 OVR)*, 7/10: The 21-year old from Japan entered the season with an uncertain future as the team had yet to decided whether he had earned promotion to the B squad, but Imada made the most of his time and solidified himself as our 4th striker while continuing to improve his game. An Exciting Prospect. 3 goals and 3 assists. 16 apps.

Reserves (players who didn't play much this season, or return from loan, or have been recently promoted from the youth squad)

GK - Carlos Alberto* (67 OVR), GK - Alex Navas* (64 OVR), Dan McDermott (72 OVR), RB - Jacob O'Neill* (64 OVR, Showing Great Potential), CB - Markus Goretzka* (68 OVR, Showing Great Potential), CB - Javier Marquez* (67 OVR, Showing Great Potential), LB - Lansana Afrani* (74 OVR, Has Potential To Be Special), Euller (73 OVR), CDM - Patrick Sobiech* (73 OVR, An Exciting Prospect), CDM - Adam Lee* (66 OVR, Has Potential To Be Special), CM - Victor Jimenez* (72 OVR, Has Potential To Be Special), CM - Damian Silva* (69 OVR, An Exciting Prospect), CM - Victor Jimenez* (61 OVR, Showing Great Potential), LM - Hallam Campbell* (68 OVR, An Exciting Prospect), LM - Juan Nunez* (67 OVR, Showing Great Potential), CAM - Bart Gorter* (73 OVR, An Exciting Prospect), Victor Velazquez* (66 OVR, Showing Great Potential), LW - Jomar Mayat* (61 OVR), LW - Joey Hoesen* (59 OVR), ST - Moritz Parker (68 OVR), ST - Jesus Aurelio* (64 OVR), CF - Francisco Miguel* (58 OVR), ST - Diego Rodriguez* (56 OVR), ST - Luis Martinez* (54 OVR).

The academy only has a handful of players in it now after a good number of guys were promoted and/or are now no longer part of the team:
                • Mansour Haron (CB, 62-66 OVR, 85-91 POT): 16-year old from Saudia Arabia who understands (for now) that he's better served staying in the academy and working on improving his game as there are already too many guys as good as him on the senior roster. Of course, his mammoth size (6'6", 198 lbs) does give him a certain edge.
                • Johnny Wilson (CF, 57-61, 74-80): 17-year old from England who will ideally stay in the academy for another full season. He has a lot of competition at his position right now.
                • Julio Gutierrez (LW, 56-60, 73-79: 17-year old from Spain who needs to continue to work on his game in the academy. Will be promoted if he asks to but he'll be nothing but a loan candidate.

To wrap up, I'm sure money people wish they had the kind of roster I've been able to put together here (5-star rating) and it's because of the talent in this roster plus the choices it gives me in the upcoming transfer window that I feel like we can aim for a treble next season. The Morientes/Salawu battle will be interesting to watch while Barrera and Gorter are destined to be transfer listed. Sobiech has improved enough to take over for Damian as the backup CDM if Damian does wish to get more playing time (elsewhere). With Imada settled in as our 4th striker Moritz also becomes a sale candidate after just one season in the club. It's a shame that our academy-product goalkeepers haven't improved enough to receive playing time from us. We also need a youngster to step up to be the backup RCB next to Afrani (LCB) - Marquez had his opportunities this season and didn't impress. Maybe Goretzka will get a shot next season. O'Neill is technically a CB for us but is more of a loan candidate at the moment.

Who's performance are YOU looking forward to next season?

                  FIFA 15 - Season 2

                  Die Freibeuter der Liga

                  September 2015

FC St. Pauli 4 - Hamburger SV 1
                  STP - Çiftçi 31', 34', Michal Mak 69', Bacuna 87'
                  HSV - Lasogga 57'
                  MOTM: Michal Mak

Michal Mak took the ball all the way to the end-line on the right of the goal before playing it across for Çiftçi to tap it in. Buballa then played the ball ahead of the defense from the left wing for Çiftçi to run onto and hit first time to the far right post. Lasogga headed a cross off the crossbar but was able to get his head on the rebound right away and put it past the keeper. Storm sent in a corner that was mishandled by the defense and Michal Mak was able to track it down and tap it home. Çiftçi played the ball to Khedira who played it ahead to Bacuna for a shot that was saved, but Bacuna was able to follow up the rebound for the final goal.

                  Bor. M'Gladbach 2 - FC St. Pauli 2
                  BMG - Xhaka 20', 25'
                  STP - Johnson 76' (OG), Nothe 89'
                  MOTM: Xhaka

Hahn had his cross blocked, but it fell right to Xhaka's feet in the middle of the box and he placed it to the top left corner for the lead. Xhaka then poked in another after the defense failed to clear a corner that fell to the ground in the box. Nothe rose up to head a corner but struck the crossbar and have it bounce back towards him. His pressure on the defender off the rebound forced the own goal to cut the lead in half. Michal Mak then dribbled from the left side of the box to the right and split two defenders before finding Nothe on the right side for a strong strike to the near post to earn a point for St. Pali.

FC St. Pauli 3 - VFL Wolfsburg 1
                  STP - Khedira 18', Rubin 63', Nothe 86'
                  WOB - De Bruyne 61'
                  MOTM: Khedira

Storm pushed the ball ahead of the defender down the left wing and sent the ball across the box for Khedira to slide and tap in for the lead. Gustavo crossed it from the left side of the box for De Bruyne to find with the header past the keeper. Buchtmann then slid the ball through the defense to the right of the goal for Rubin to run onto and place past the keeper for his first goal with St. Pauli. With the match winding down Buballa crossed the ball in from the left wing for Nothe to rise up and head it strongly to the top left corner and put the match out of reach.

                  F. Dusseldorf 4 - FC St. Pauli 4
                  F95 - Benschop 10', Didot 20', Gartner 47', Hoffer 77'
                  STP - Michal Mak 63', 90', Storm 73', 90'
                  MOTM: Storm

Benschop opened early with an easy tap in off the cross in front of goal. Didot then struck a perfect shot from the top of the box to the top left corner. Gartner made it 3-0 after he got the ball unmarked at the top of the box and fired a shot to the right post. Michal Mak put St. Pauli on the board after he headed in Storm's corner. Michal Mak then played Storm through on the left side of the box for a strong shot to the far right post. Hoffer added a fourth for Dusseldorf by beating the back line and first timing the ball past the keeper. In the 90th minute Storm got to the end line before playing a cross to the center for Michal Mak to dive and head in. Storm then took the ball away on the ensuing kick off and made his way to the center of the box and fired through the defense to beat the keeper to the right side of the net for the equalizer.

St. Pauli Player of the Month

                  Michal Mak

Michal Mak is making some noise early in his St. Pauli career. Not intially pegged to be someone in the first XI, he has found his way in and refused to relent that spot. His three assists and two goals this month show why he was one of the most consistent and dangerous attacking options St. Pauli had.

                  Press Conference
Q: You've had an impressive run now moving all the way into 6th when most had you pegged as a relegation candidate. How do you feel about how your squad is currently playing?

A: I'm very happy with our results so far, and while we've had a few games where I know we could have been better, I can't complain with where we are right now. I want to focus on getting the defense tighter and stop letting the opposing teams get so many easy shots. There is a lot of season left to be played so we will see what happens.

Q: Your next match is your first taste of Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich. What kind of strategy will you use to approach one of the biggest clubs in the world?

A: Bayern is fantastic, and no one can take that away from them. As I said earlier, it will come down to tightening up the defense. Luckily, our first match against them is at home. We have the best supporters in the world, and they motivate us to leave everything on the pitch. We don't intent to let them down.

Q: You brought in several new faces for this season. Now that you have a sample size to compare to, which new addition has had the largest impact on the club so far?

A: Patrick Rakosvky has been outstanding in goal so far, and his presence has been an ideal replacement for Tschauner between the sticks. As far as outfield players that is hard to determine, but I am very happy with what Michal Mak has provided for us. He and his brother both joined this season, and Michal has been one of our biggest threats in the attack, even with the likes of Nadir Çiftçi and Christopher Nothe up front.

Keano, well done finishing in sixth and qualifying to the Europa League. You should get through the playoff round very easily. What the hell happened against Crystal Palace? Eight goals, that's amazing.

Rabbit, congratulations on qualifying to the Champions League and on the highest ever league position. You could've been seconf but the last games didn't go that well
I'm sure you were very disappointed after the Champions League final but on the positive side you made it to the final.

Jamie, congratulations on winning the cup. I hope you remain as the league leader for the remaining season. Dzszszsudzszsak and Kampl have been great for you. Who do you like more?

Poulka, you have an impressive lead. Hopefully Bale does well for you.

Tex, I'm a bit surprised how well you have been doing in the Bundesliga. I was looking forward to Hertha beating you but they can't even stay in the league without me. Also, Ciftci has been amazing. Again. Your question is very hard. I have enjoyed using Robben the most after the two B's but I hate how many chances he misses. For that reason I have to go with Sterling.

Sportsfreak, good signings there. Jordi Alba looks like a great signing and I hope he takes care of the left side.

Cruzerr, I'm very sad that your career ended in such a terrible way. I'm looking forward to your new team.

I'm very sorry if I forgot someone, there have been a lot of posts lately.

Thanks Simp! I wish it was 5th but what can you do? I have SK Sturm Graz in a 2 legged qualifier now. That Crystal Palace was just one where everything went right!

                        Millwall Season 1 November:

                        Matchday 13:

                        Brighton – Millwall (0-1)

                        • 84’ Ciftci (Upson) (0-1)

Recap: In a really seemingly quite easy game for Millwall against Brighton in the lower league of the table, Millwall clearly struggled to deal with Brighton’s high pressure football and they didn’t really create more than 2-3 chances all game and Brighton created quite a few more but Lee Nicholls had an amazing game and his great performance combined with a set piece gave Millwall a really undeserved win.

MOTM: Lee Nicholls: His amazing form continues and he comes away from this game with yet another clean sheet and single handily kept Millwall in the game which made it possible for Millwall to snatch the win in the end.

                        Matchday 14:

                        Millwall – Wolves (1-0)

                        • 25’ Zelalem (1-0)

Recap: Yet again Millwall struggled to create chances, they did however manage to score 1 goal that came from the individual brilliance of the young Zelalem when he stole the ball from a defender and then fired a long shot into the bottom corner. Millwall’s defence however was as solid as ever which lead to Millwall being able to get away with a narrow 1-0 win. Erik Falaph has to be wondering about what he has to do get his teams attacking play to work as usual again.

MOTM: Gedion Zelalem: In a tight game with few chances he showed his individual skill by stealing the ball from a defender and then fire a hard shot into the bottom left corner.

                        Matchday 15:

Derby – Millwall (0-1) (Reserve team)

                        • 19’ Lingard (Upson) (0-1)

Recap: Millwall put out a much weaker team on the field this game than usual but they did however manage to steal a win with yet another 1-0 victory making it three in a row. The defence had yet another excellent display and the offense had tey another pretty bad display.

MOTM: Matthew Upson: Covered the back four extremely well and also was the player that stood for all creativity going forward in this uneventful game.

                        Matchday 16:

                        Millwall – Reading (3-0)

                        • 33’ Cataldi (Cowan-Hall) (1-0)
                        • 58’ Ciftci (Beevers) (2-0)
                        • 67’ Zelalem (Cowan-Hall) (3-0)

Recap: In a really impressive performance Millwall took a huge 3-0 win against playoff chasing Reading. As usual Millwall stood for a solid defensive performance and a for once good offensive performance with a lot of chances created that led to yet another victory which now makes it 15 in a row in the league.

MOTM: Paris Cowan-Hall: The right midfielder had yet another amazing performance in which he made the difference in this game by assisting to two of the goals and being involved in the build up to the third.

                        Matchday 17:

                        Fulham – Millwall (1-2)

                        • 28’ Ciftci (0-1)
                        • 50’ Martin (Cowan-Hall) (0-2)
                        • 79’ McCormack (FK) (1-2)

Recap: In this London derby between two teams that both are going after promotion to the BPL Millwall came out on top. It was a very eventful and entertaining derby that should leave the fans satisfied. Millwall did for the first time in 12 games concede a goal which puts an end to that very impressive streak.

MOTM: Nacir Ciftci: The Turkish striker had a good performance in which he scored the first goal of the game and on another day he could have scored a few more.

                        Matchday 18:

Millwall – Leeds (3-0) (Reserve team)

                        • 6’ Gregory (PK) (1-0)
                        • 43’ Gueye (Gregory) (2-0)
                        • 76’ Gueye (Gregory) (3-0)

Recap: In this game Millwall came with a much weaker side than usual since they have the capital one cup quarter final against West Brom in just a few days so they want to have all their best players 100% ready for that huge game. Despite them coming with a weaker side they dominated from start to finish with a great performance both offensively and defensively.

MOTM: Lee Gregory: The striker had yet another amazing game which he really seems to have every time he gets the chance to start. He was amazing in the hold-up play which shows in him getting the both assists to the goals from Gueye.

                        4. Federici (Reading) 5 Clean Sheets

                        November Recap:

Millwall once again had a very good month with 6 wins in 6 games even though they haven’t played as good as previous months especially regarding the team’s offensive play. The defence were very solid and only conceded one goal in those six games and Millwall will certainly hope that it continues that way in the months to come. After yet another successful month for Millwall they now have a huge 19 point lead in front of second-placed Cardiff City and Millwall are also still undefeated.

                        Player of the month:

Lee Nicholls: The Millwall goalkeeper had an amazing month with 5 clean sheets out of s6 possible and 6 wins in 6 games. Nicholls played amazingly in every game and didn’t do a single mistake for the entire month and in some games were the difference between Millwall winning or losing.

Your team seems to be adjusting to the Bundesliga extremely fast with you in europa league place after 8 games! Seems like you will not have to be involved in the fight to stay up at all.
You have some really high scoring games, really seems like you don't have any trouble going forward!

It was a really disappointing game for both sides. Gillingham hit the post once but that was their only real chance. Jake Sinclair was extremely close to putting Exeter City into the lead but he just couldn’t get the ball into the net...

Eastmond drifts to the left wing, cuts inside and then crosses the ball into the box. The ball drops perfectly for Ajeti who blocks the defender and hits it on the volley with his weaker foot. It’s hit with so much ferocity and power that the goalkeeper cannot reach it even though it is at his near corner. Amazing finish!

                                EXE Ajeti (46’)
As soon as the game started, it had it written all over it. Ajeti has his first hat-trick for his new club. Sinclair delivers a low ball in from the right which takes a deflection. The ball goes past Ajeti but hits Barnsley defender, Reece Brown, which makes the ball fall back to Ajeti. He heads the ball over the rushing goalkeeper and into the net.

                                EXE Reid (57’)
Ajeti takes a quick throw-in from the left to Jamie Reid. He takes a touch and uses his pace to cut into the middle and then into the box. The Barnsley defence opens up for him to just slot the ball into the bottom corner. Exeter City have gone into the quarter finals to face Tranmere Rovers.

                                Our Best Performer: Albian Ajeti

                                EXE – Ajeti (28’)
Jamie Reid bursts down the left and crosses the ball into the back post where Albian Ajeti manages to head the ball back across the keeper and into the far corner.

                                Our Best Performer: Jamie Reid

                                SkyBet League 1 Match:

                                S****horpe 0 – Exeter City 3

                                EXE – Ajeti (23’)
And he scores again! Ajeti receives the ball from the right by Jake Sinclair to the back post where he just has to tap it in the net.

                                EXE –Sinclair (27’)
Pretty much identical to Ajeti’s goal except that the cross was from the left and delivered by Jamie Reid.

                                EXE Sinclair (34’)
Surprisingly, S****horpe have fallen for it again! A cross into the back post by Jamie Reid and a simple tap in for Sinclair.

Annoyingly, Albian Ajeti was forced off after fifty-two minutes of play. It’s a massive shame based on his recent performances. (Replaced for Cowan-Hall)

                                Dr Peter Riou (Senior Physiotherapist):
Albian Ajeti is out for 4 weeks with a Hyper Extended Knee.” (Will be replaced by Jamie Reid and Paris Cowan-Hall will be in Reid’s place.)

Our Best Performer: Jake Sinclair (Two goals, one assist which means he had a crucial part in all of the goals.)

                                SkyBet League 1 Match:

                                Exeter City 2 – Chesterfield 1

                                CHE Darikwa (75’)
The game has been pretty average until Darikwa receives the ball on the edge of the box and hits the ball into the corner. Glen Mabil really should have done better...

                                EXE Reid (75’)
Because Ajeti is out, Reid assumes the striker position and scores only a couple of seconds after the restart. Ollie Watkins starts the game off and Jamie Reid turns and runs at the defenders. He skips past a challenge and slips the ball under the body of the Chesterfield goalkeeper, Aaron Chapman, who has been outstanding up until now.

                                EXE Reid (83’)
Ribeiro gives the ball to Watkins who turns and sprints with blistering pace down the right. He puts the ball low into the box where Jamie Reid pokes the ball across the keeper’s chest and into the far corner.

Our Best Performer: Jamie Reid (It might have taken him a while to get going but for the last fifteen minutes he was amazing!)

                                SkyBet League 1 Match:

                                Port Vale 1 – Exeter City 2

                                EXE – Sinclair (4’)
Exeter City look to continue their form and it’s really showing that the West Country team could even win the title! Jamie Reid lifts a sublime pass out onto the right wing where Paris Cowan-Hall chests it down and sends the ball to the back post where Sinclair puts the ball past the goalkeeper and into the net.

Unfortunately, Jake Flannigan had to come off with a shoulder injury in the sixth minute.

                                POR – Sinclair (9’)
Ribeiro loses the ball and falls into the path of Chris Lines who squares the ball to Emile Sinclair who turns past Moore-Taylor and allows him to easily take the ball past Glen Mabil and into the lower right corner.

                                EXE – Appiah (90’)
Port Vale have denied Exeter all the way until the last minute where Port Vale goalkeeper, Chris Neal, receives a pass from the defence. Neal takes a heavy touch allowing the pressing Ollie Watkins to slide and steal the ball from the goalkeeper. The ball rolls to Appiah who puts the ball into an empty goal.

                                Our Best Performer: Kwabena Appiah

                                Capital One Cup Match:

                                Sheffield Wednesday 1 – Exeter City 2

                                EXE Sinclair (2’)
Exeter have amazingly made it into the last sixteen of the Capital One Cup and look like they’re going through based on the first two minutes of the game! Appiah steals the ball down the left and skips into the middle of the box where he shoots but his effort is saved easily. The rebound falls straight to Jake Sinclair who then just has to tap the ball into an empty net.

                                SHE Lavery (60’)
Kamil Zayatte clears the ball up field and it drops into the path of Caolan Lavery. Moore-Taylor tries to clear the ball but ends up allowing Lavery through on goal. He smashes the ball past Mabil and into the top right corner.

                                EXE –Dawson (112’)
Finally someone scores! A one-two with Appiah in the middle allows Aaron Dawson to pick the all up behind the defenders and he just calmly puts it past the keeper. Exeter City are into the next round, where they will face the Premier League’s Newcastle United in the quarter finals.

                                Our Best Performer: Jake Sinclair

                                SkyBet League 1 Match:

                                Exeter City 5 – Portsmouth 0

                                EXEWebster (OG) (9’)
The treats start early in this Halloween game for Exeter City as Liam Sercombe bombs down the right on the counter attack. He picks out a great through-ball to Appiah who sprints in on goal. He stumbles from a sliding tackle by Jack Whatmough but stays standing and tries to chip the ball over the keeper. Adam Webster manages to get in the way of the chip but it ends up going past the keeper and rolling over the line.

                                EXE –Appiah (48’)
He was asking for it. Glen Mabil boots the ball far up field over the defence and into the path of Ollie Watkins who takes a great touch to control the ball and then flick the ball over the head of the last defender and to Appiah who takes a touch and tricks the goalkeeper with a composed chipped shot and it’s a second for Exeter.

                                EXE –Flannigan (66’)
Jake Flannigan steals the ball in the midfield and runs to the edge of the penalty area where he fakies to the right and tries to bend the ball into the far corner. Instead of that, Jack Whatmough gets a massive deflection to make the ball roll past the already dedicated goalkeeper. I’m surprised that is still a Flannigan goal and not an own goal but it still counts.

                                EXE –Appiah (68’)
Aaron Dawson steals the ball on the right and drifts into the middle where he lifts the ball over the defence and to the boot of Appiah who strikes it on the volley and with his weaker foot. The ball fizzes past the goalkeeper and into the bottom of the near corner.

                                EXE – Sinclair (77’)
Jake Sinclair slides in and wins the ball off of Jack Whatmough and sprints through on goal. He nudges the ball to the right before simply smashing the ball past the keeper and into the net.

Our Best Performer: Glen Mabil (He really kept us in the game in the early stages and he kept making amazing saves all the way to the final whistle. Credit to Kwabena for nearly getting a hat-trick and Aaron Dawson for winning the ball numerous times in difficult situations.)

                                Press Conference:

Q: We’ve heard that you’ve received a managerial offer from the prestigious PSV in the Netherlands...

A: I’m very flattered that a team as good as PSV would want me as their manager but I am totally dedicated to Exeter City. No matter how much money they offer me or how many trophies they have won, I am not going to leave Exeter any time soon.

Q: You’re still in amazing form and you’re nine points ahead over everyone else. How does it feel to be in such a comfortable position in the table?

A: Obviously there is a feeling of reassurance that we have a nine point cushion but we seriously can’t slack around and become complacent. It’s only mid-season and there are still so many more points to get before the end.

Q: Albian Ajeti was in great form before becoming injured only earlier this month. When will he be coming back?

A: Hopefully in the next game or two. It’ll be great to see his quality in the team once again.
