As for your 3-4-1-2, how do you find it? I prefer 5ATB to 3ATB, because the LWB and RWB play more accurately than the LM and RM positions.
First of all, congrats on the promotion to the big leagues. I really like the targets list that you have drawn up, John could be a major impact player similar to Cresswell for myself seeing as he is a LB with major offensive ability.

As for formation discussion, I keep seeming to find my way back to the diamond oftentimes. Really for me with so many fixtures and so few fullbacks, I often shift to 3 at the back out of necessity with a plethora of quality CBs and no one to fill in for Jenkinson or Cresswell when they're unfit. I actually prefer the 3-4-1-2 over the 3-5-1-1 that I tested, mainly because I like having a striker pairing up top. As for the 5 at the back vs. 3 at the back debate, I've found that 3 in the back with the RM/LM set to "come back at defend" works perfectly for me, because their position is set high enough that they get involved in the attacks, but with their pace and and that setting it basically creates a 5 at the back as they always get back defensively. When I tested 5 at the back I found that the wing backs didn't attack enough for my personal liking.

The 3-4-1-2 is honestly one of my favorites right now, but the diamond (even through its rough patch) is definitely one of our top formations, just because I have such a wealth of midfield talent that sometimes it's better to get them all on the field. That's honestly why I like the 3-4-1-2 because the 5 man midfield lets me run out more midfielders while still getting the Ox out in a wide position where he is most dangerous.

@Simppu Well done on the World Cup. Let me know how you beat those big teams once you figure it out (it's called Semi-Pro). Great to see you back in Italy. Hope you have fun, and why shouldn't you when you have Dybala for company? Good luck!

@Jamie Wonderful signing. Boateng is one of the best defenders in the game and justifies that massive pay packet completely. Firmino is also a good buy. Sorta surprising that you didn't really get going with Reid, but not totally surprising. He was a beast for me at West Brom but struggled to show me any reason to put him back in the XI after I'd dropped him for Omar Gonzalez.

Looking forward to reading who you went for in the end!
Thanks, man! I actually decided to run the 4-4-2 diamond. Because of how I employ it, I can get away with good results using mostly mediocre players. I've actually taken a leaf out of the Chavez Guidebook to Coaching and Transfers, from 'Chapter 2: Be Stingy in the Window', so the answer is none of them!

Oh, and I haven't got a clue who any of your signings are. But I hope you turn these nobodies into household names! Good luck, though I suspect you have a tougher task ahead of you than you did with the Dons (the actual Dons)!

Thanks a lot, man! I've progressed a bit further into the season and played my first league fixture. Without giving away too much, let me just say that Declan John didn't feature among my transfer targets. Actually, I didn't even pursue any of the players I'd shortlisted, mostly because the 4-4-2 diamond worked SO well for me in preseason that I decided to carry on with it. But there are some innovations coming up in terms of team-building, and while it's going to take me until 2017 to put together the team I want, it looks like I will be able to assemble a predominantly English squad. As for 3ATB, I find that it really is a boon when you have a shortage of players in the wide positions, but I just can't sustain the system over a longer period of time. I hope you have better luck with that! Keep me updated so I can maybe experiment with the 3-4-1-2!

                Hellas Verona

                January 2016

                Transfers Out

                Connor Wickham
                , €8,000,000 to FC Schalke 04
Itumeleng Khune, €12,000,000 to Bayer Leverkusen

                Transfers In

                Jose Maria Gimenez

73 Ovr, Central Defender, 21 Years Old, Uruguay

Season Loan with a €2,800,000 Buy Clause

Hellas Verona signed four defenders in the summer but it looks like it wasn't enough for them because they added another centre back, the young Jose Maria Gimenez, to their squad. The Uruguayan defender was signed on a loan deal but Verona can buy him in the summer for just under three million euros. Gimenez wasn't getting much playing time at Atletico Madrid and he was looking to sign for another team. Surprisingly the youngster has made more appearances for the national team than for his club.

                Kaan Ayhan

74 Ovr, Central Defender, 21 Years Old, Turkey

                €2,000,000 + Raul Rodriguez

The second and final defender signed by Hellas Verona is another 21-year-old. This time it's the Schalke youth product Kaan Ayhan who was signed for two million and Raul Rodriguez, who didn't get any playing time this season at Verona. Ayhan is a talented player and he can play in numerous positions, including every position in defence and central midfield. It will be interesting to see what Corleone will do with his centre halves because Verona has Dier, Marquez, Romagnoli, Ayhan, Gimenez and Moras. Three of them are on loan with buy options and Moras will retire in the summer, though.

                Daniele Baselli

76 Ovr, Central Midfielder, 23 Years Old, Italy

                €3,500,000

The third cheapest signing of the winter signings made by Hellas Verona was the young Italian midfielder Daniele Baselli. The 23-year-old arrived for a cheap price of just €3,5 million even though his market value was meant to be four million euros. Baselli, who arrived from Atalanta, will now fight for playing time with the 5 years older Zlatko Junuzovic.

                Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting

77 Ovr, Left Midfielder, 26 Years Old, Cameroon

                €6,500,000

After the surprising sale of Connor Wickham Hellas Verona needed to find a replacement for the striker. They ended up signing the Cameroonian attacker from FC Schalke who happen the be the team that signed Wickham. Verona got Choupo-Moting for only six million euros which is a great price for him. Choupo-Moting is a strong and fast attacker who can play everywhere in attack and he's an excellent dribbler.

                Geronimo Rulli

76 Ovr, Goalkeeper, 23 Years Old, Argentina

                €9,000,000

The most expensive signing Hellas Verona made in January was the Argentine goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli who arrived from Real Sociedad to replace the sold Khune. According to rumours Rulli was the second-choice replacement after Mattia Perin but Genoa requested too much money for their keeper. Rulli has the potential to become a world class keeper and he has very good reflexes which make him a good goalkeeper. On top of everything else, he wears trousers.

                Hellas Verona 2 - 1 Udinese
                Milik 44', Dier 81' pen
                Vydra 32'

"We completed a nice comeback in this game against a tough Udinese side. Their goal came from a counter attack but we did well to recover from it. Arkad (Milik) replaced Wickham in the squad and he had a good game. Paulo (Dybala) had a good game, as well."

                Round of 16
                Hellas Verona 2 - 1 Lazio
                Dybala 9', Junuzovic 39'
                Djordjevic 21'

"The boys were very good out there today and I'm very happy that we are through to the quarter finals. Lazio had a few chances but the defenders managed to deal with them. The quarter final will be a tough match against Napoli."

                Sassuolo 1 - 1 Hellas Verona
                Magnanelli 30'
                Moras 14'

                Simulated.

                Lazio 1 - 2 Hellas Verona
                Keita 51'
                Milik 18', Dybala 43' pen

"We faced Lazio for the second time this month and we beat them in the exact same way: we scored, they equalised and we got the winner from a penalty. We were good again but we need to work on our counter attack defending."

                Hellas Verona 2 - 1 Palermo
                Valoti 37', Longo 72'
                Vossen 28'

                Simulated.

                Quarter Final
                Hellas Verona 3 - 0 Napoli
                Dybala 23', Choupo-Moting 45', 87'

"Yes, we have made it to the semi finals! I was a bit afraid coming into this game but our performace was great, maybe a nine out of ten. Paulo (Dybala) and Eric (Choupo-Moting) were very dangerous together and it's looking like they'll form a deadly partnership. The defence did well in the last fifteen minutes when Napoli pressurised us a lot. The next opponent will be Juventus."

                Bari 1 - 2 Hellas Verona
                Defendi 53'
                Milik 38', Murru 83'

                Simulated.

                Serie A Table

                1. Hellas Verona, 52 pts
                2. Juventus, 47 pts
                3. Napoli, 42 pts

                  FIFA 15 | PS3 | Season 2 | 2015-16

                  The Swans

                  April 2016

                  Apr 3rd
                  Match 30
                  Arsenal 2-4 Swansea

                  Sanchez 11' Pen Arteta 48'
                  Emnes 35' 52' Montero 39' Ings 55'

                  MotM: Marvin Emnes

The B team, with a few first team players mixed in, played this match as fatigue set in. A terrible start however as Koulibaly bundled Wilshere over inside the area 10 minutes in. Sanchez sent the spot kick into the top left corner giving Scuffet no chance. A tremendous counter attack stretched the Arsenal back 4 and Emnes was played in by Centurion. He turned Mertesacker, who managed to get in a tackle, but the ball rolled back to Emnes and he hit it low under Ospina, who it nicked on the way into the net, to tie up the game with 35 minutes gone. The lead was taken 4 minutes later. Emnes was involved again playing a through ball down the left for Montero to chase. It seemed that only Cazorla would get there ruining the chance but Montero made up an amazing amount of ground and got to the ball first before having the confidence to fire home across Ospina with his left foot. Whatever Wenger said at halftime worked as they were level inside 3 minutes. Cazorla swung in a brilliant cross from the left and Areteta met it with an equally brilliant header into the top corner. Emnes responded with a beautiful header of his own 4 minutes later after meeting a great cross from Montero that picked him out precisely in behind Koscielny. Emnes grabbed a second assist playing a one two with Ings that created space for him to shoot low past Ospina to guarantee the win.

Europa League Quarter Final Leg 2
                  Marseille (1) 1-2 (5) Swansea

                  Ayew 24'
                  Delph 44' Sigurdsson 72'

                  MotM: Gylfi Sigurdsson

Holding a 3-0 advantage we just had to keep steady in France to earn a place in the Europa League Semi Finals. We played a 4-2-3-1 this game with Sigurdsson returning to the line up. Ayew turned Reid way too easily inside the box allowing him to have a comfortable finish past Fabianski. Delph equalized with a minute left in the first half. He got the ball from Sigurdsson on the edge of the area and fired home in off the post with his right foot past Mandanda. Bony played Sigurdsson through the middle and he held Aloe off before finishing over Mandanda. With this 2-1 win we have gotten through to the Semi Finals on an aggregate score of 5-1. In his first game back in the side Gylfi Sigurdsson earned Man of the Match and got an assist plus a goal. Should he play more often?

                  Apr 10th
                  Match 31
                  Swansea 3-1 Wigan

                  Ings 9' 21' Emnes 47'
                  Riera 69'

                  MotM: Danny Ings

Ings picked up the ball in the center circle from Emnes and used his pace to speed past Ramis before shooting past Al Habsi. Ings dispossessed Rogne, the last defender, and sprinted in on goal to finish past Al Habsi again. Hayes sent them out for more goals in the second half and Emnes supplied the third 2 minutes in. Centurion got past the left fullback and picked out Emnes between the two center halves before he headed coolly past Al Habsi. Koulibaly completely misjudged a chip over the top leaving Riera all alone to pull back a goal for Wigan and strip us of our clean sheet.

                  Apr 13th
                  Match 32
                  Sunderland 0-0 Swansea

                  Jones 67'

                  MotM: Costel Pantillimon

After a dominant first half a second rash challenge from Billy Jones meant that the Sunderland Right Back was off with 2 yellows. We couldn't make the extra man count though in one of the most frustrating games ever. 12 shots with 8 on target. The ball just wouldn't go into the net no matter how hard we tried. The Romanian keeper was just unbeatable.

                  Apr 17th
                  FA Cup Semi Final
                  Swansea 5-1 Hull

                  Ings 11' 65' Shelvey 57' Centurion 66' Gomis 79'
                  Jahraldo 89'

                  MotM: Danny Ings

Playing for a place in the final against Manchester City, who had beaten Reading 2-1 in the other Semi final, we faced Hull City at Wembley. Ings played a one two with Emnes and the return pass split the Hull defense down the middle with Ings running onto it and finishing from a tight angle to take the lead. A ball played into Emnes was cut out by Maguire but the ball rolled to Shelvey on the edge of the box and he just placed it into the bottom right corner for the second goal of the afternoon. A cross from Bernat was cleared but strangely Huddlestone headed it back into the box straight to Ings who touched it by Livermore with his first touch and then scored on the turn with his second touch. From the kick off Centurion managed to dispossess Maguire who was the last defender. He was clear through on goal and finished coolly past Cillessen. Gomis who hasn't featured much this season notched his 6th goal of the campaign coming off the bench with a strong header from a Ki corner. He had a header hit the crossbar moments before but this time he made no mistake. Shelvey tackled Quinn but the tackle made the ball roll into the penalty area where Jahraldo pounced to ruin our clean sheet in the last minute. We are now through to face City in the final.

                  Apr 21st
Europa League Semi Final Leg 1
                  Besiktas 1-4 Swansea

                  Özyakup 26'
                  Bony 4' Pen 7' 13' 90' Pen

                  MotM: Wilfried Bony

In the first leg of our Europa League Semi Final we headed it Turkey to try and get some away goals. We did just that when Redmond was hauled down by Cetinkaya inside the area. Bony stepped up and dispatched the penalty. Bony added a second 3 minutes later when Ings played the ball behind the defense and Bony held off Cetinkaya before sliding past the keeper. The hat trick was completed on 13' when Dyer chipped it over the defense for Bony to run onto and he avoided Cetinkaya's sliding challenge before smashing home with his left foot. Özyakup scored with 26 minutes gone after a mixup left him free in the area. Ings was brought down by the Besiktas captain in the last minute for Bony to score his 4th of the game and 40th of the season.

                  Match 33
                  Manchester City 3-1 Swansea

                  Benzema 54' 68' Hiwula 90'
                  Shelvey 58'

                  MotM: Yaya Toure

Hayes had to play the B team this game because of fatigue. After missing a penalty early in the game Benzema climbed highest to head home a Silva corner with 54 minutes on the clock. A bit of misfortune as the header deflected off Rangel leaving Scuffet with no chance. Shelvey leveled soon after rounding off some good play. Emnes put Gomis in down the left of the box. He turned back around the 6 yard box and pulled it back to Shelvey for him to tap in. Benzema got very, very lucky when he had his saved shot fall straight back to him allowing him to tap it in for the lead. Shelvey then had a chance to equalize again but his long range effort cracked off the crossbar on 75'. The nail was put in the coffin when Toure pulled it back to Hiwula in the last minute and his finish in off the post made it 3-1.

Europa League Semi Final Leg 2
                  Swansea (5) 1-1 (2) Besiktas

                  Bony 12'
                  Kavlak 14' Ba 84'

                  MotM: Wilfried Bony

Delph's pass found a gap in the Besiktas defense and Bony exploited it running right through the middle and scoring his 41st goal of the season. 2 minutes later Kavlak made it worse for his team getting a straight red for a horrendous tackle on Danny Ings. Ba got his 11th goal of the competition when he headed in from close range after his first header had hit the bar. On an aggregate score of 5-2 we were through to the Final against Napoli, who had defeated Tottenham 4-3.

                  Player of the Month

                  Marvin Emnes

The Dutch international notched up 4 assists this month to go with his 2 goals. He has really stepped up in Berahino's absence to become our 3rd choice striker behind Bony and Ings.

A reshuffle of the back line! Let us know how those signings do for you! Surprising to see Wickham go but you got good money for him and your results haven't dropped at all. A lot of 2-1 victories but a good 3-0 win over Napoli. You also have a good lead over Juve in the table. Things are looking good!

Has anyone else had players leave on international duty when there are no international games? I had to play against Man City and Real Madrid without Medel and Perez. Hopefully they come back.

Also, does anyone elses career modes freeze and act really slow on the menus

What do you guys do when the game gets too easy? I'm already on Legendary, and I find that even a small change in sliders makes the game play entirely differently, but I don't want to have a completely unrealistic season and win the league or something like that. Guess I'll need to experiment a bit with sliders.

@Moose can you post your slider set when you get some time?

Never had that happen to me, hopefully they do come back.

The 2nd issue happens to me alright. Sometimes it takes forever for something to open up or sometimes it just freezes completely. I can still see things like the GTN moving but I'm unable to do anything.

They've come back, phew. Playing without them was like losing a limb. I never realised how important they are to the team until they were gone.

The 2nd issue is the exact same for me, even on PS4

Also, does anyone elses career modes freeze and act really slow on the menus
Question 1. It has happened to me once but the game wasn't important if I recall correctly.

Question 2. Yes, hell yes. Sometimes it's terrible and sometimes it's better but it still lags a lot. Fix your game, EA.

Who's up for a Fifa 16 wishlist? This is my list for career mode:

                                - Training

A possibility to train your players and work on their playing style and stats. You could change their position and improve their passing, for example.

                                -In-depth contracts

                                Buy-out clauses, bonuses etc.

                                - Better press conferences

Real questions and cut scenes like in NBA

                                - Better interaction with players

                                Again, like in NBA.

                                - Youth squads and reserve squads

Like it says above, a possibility to have reserve squads.

                                - Stadium upgrades

At least on the generic stadiums. It's annoying when you play in the PL with a stadium which has a capacity of 10,000.

                                - Sponsor deals and ticket prices

Possibility to negotiate for money with sponsors and a possibility to raise ticket prices like in old Fifas.

                                - More scoutable countries

                                - More leagues and at at least the CL teams

                                - Licenses for the Champions League and the Europa League

That's everything that comes to my mind right now. If you have any wishes go ahead and tell them.
