      MAKING THEM DREAM
      SEASON 1
      PS4
      LEGENDARY

      League Cup Final

      Chelsea 2-3 Liverpool
      Cuadrado 5
      Balotelli 8
      Ramires 41
      Balotelli 59
      Balotelli 82

Cuadrado opened the scoring early on, capitalising on Moreno's poor backpass to flick over Mignolet. Balotelli equalised soon after, cutting inside to beat Terry before smashing it powerfully into the top corner. Mignolet was forced into an excellent save to deny Cuadrado before Ramires headed in from Hazard's well placed cross. Balo equalised once again, this time heading in with a wonderful looping finish into the top, near corner from Clyne's excellent half-volley cross. The winner came late on, Balo heading in at the far post unmarked, from Sterling's cross to complete a cup final hat-trick and win the game.

      Match 26

      Liverpool 2-1 Burnley
      Lambert 16
      Jones 63
      Gray 82

      Match 27

      Liverpool 1-1 Manchester City
      Coutinho 45
      Bony 56

Bony missed the first opportunity of the game, turning the defender and slotting just wide of the post, but it was a bright start for the league leaders. Caballero was forced into action to deny Kane and then to make an incredible save to deny Skrtel from the corner that followed. Coutinho gave us the lead on the stroke of half time, running onto the ball through by Sturridge and taking it round the keeper to slot home. Unfortunately, Bony equalised, running down the byline before smashing in near post. Mignolet should have saved it. Caballero made an incredible save to keep the team top of the league in the last minute, denying Coutinho and thunderous goal.

      Match 28

      Southampton 0-2 Liverpool
      Lambert 40 (PEN)
      Allen 67

Long missed the first chance of the game, putting a wonderful chance wide after intercepting Toure's awful pass. Davis made an excellent save to deny Lambert a goal against his former club. However, Lambert got the goal in front of his former adoring fans, chipping his penalty down the middle after our former player Glen Johnson tripped Gray. Good job Glen, first positive contribution you've ever made for Liverpool. Allen made it 2-0 in an uneventful second half, caressing the ball into the corner after Kane's through ball.

      FA Cup Quarter Final

      Liverpool 1-0 Leicester
      Gerrard 79 (PEN)

Champions League Last 16 Leg 2

      Liverpool 4-1 Zenit (5-2 agg)
      Balotelli 12
      Sturridge 22
      Sturridge 51
      Criscito 77
      Balotelli 88

I lost my notes on this match so I'll try to see what I remember. I know Balo scored a penalty and Sturridge got the second with a far post header and Criscito's goal was a thunderous volley into the top corner. Sorry for the lack of detail.

      Match 29

      Swansea 1-2 Liverpool
      Lambert 47
      Sigurdson 65
      Ibe 67

The first good chance of the game came on the stroke of half time when Ibe sliced the ball with his left and it went inches wide. However, right after half time Gray stormed forward. He cut back for Lambert who took a touch and let fly from 20 yards, finding the top corner with an absolute thunderbolt. Oliveira came close for Swansea, hitting the bar with a header before Sigurdson fired into the top corner from a dubious free kick. Ibe clearly wasn't happy with the decision and stormed right from kick off and fired in at the near post with a powerful effort. The Swans almost salvaged a draw but Mignolet made an incredible save to deny Dyer's thunderous effort.

      League Table

      1. Liverpool 68
      2. Manchester City 68
      3. Arsenal 55
      4. Spurs 49
      5. Chelsea 47
      6. Manchester United 45
      -----
      18. Burnley 26

      20. Leicester 21

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Hey guys, I've been reading your manager modes over the past month and it has inspired me to do one of my own. I enjoy playing in England, Spain, Germany, Italy, and France, but my favorite league is the Russian Football Premier League. Hey, welcome to the thread! Glad you decided to start up a career for us to follow. I'm not sure if anyone has done Russia here, so I'm excited to see what you do with it. I looked through the squads for each of the teams and I lowered it down to 2 that I liked.

My favorite was FC Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast. I liked the youth that the team had, and they had some players that can develop into very useful players for you even as you grow bigger.

The second was Tom Tomsk for similar reasons. Plus their best player is one that is really young and you can hold on to him while you build the rest of the team up around him.

            Deportivo La Coruña
            FIFA 15 - Season 2

            Blanquiazules’

            January 2015

Copa Del Rey Round of 16 Leg 1
            RC Deportivo 1 - Real Madrid 2
DEP - De Tomas 66' (PEN)
            RMA - Ronaldo 7', Kroos 50'
            MOTM: Ronaldo

Kroos played Ronaldo down the left side of the goal barely keeping him onside and Ronaldo slotted it perfectly into the bottom left corner. Marcelo sent a cross into the box and Aguero was able to tap it back after the defense failed to clear it and Kroos struck it first time with his left foot into the top left corner. Barral was taken down in the box to earn a penalty that De Tomas was able to step up and power past the keeper to cut the lead in half heading into the second leg.

            RC Deportivo 2 - Sporting Gijon 1
            DEP - Iglesias 67' (PEN), Barral 85'
            GIJ - El Arabi 58'
            MOTM: El Arabi

Canella found El Arabi in the box with his back to the goal and he used a quick turn to get around Ekiza and then power a shot inside the left side of the goal. Keko played Barral through up the middle and he fired a shot that hit off the post, but after his shot Bernado slid through his plant leg and was shown a straight red while conceding a penalty. Iglesias stepped up and blasted the shot into the top left to even the match at 1-1. Aquino brought down the ball on the right wing and played it back to Laure on the overlap to send a cross into the box for Barral to head across to the top right corner for the winning goal.

Copa Del Rey Round of 16 Leg 2
            Real Madrid 0 (2) - RC Deportivo 1 (2)
            DEP - Guardado 32'
            MOTM: Fabricio

Guardado set up for a free kick just outside of the box on the right side of the goal and he curled it perfectly over the wall and away from the keeper into the top right corner. In the 60th minute Juan Dominguez played Iglesias up the middle and he fired a shot just an inch too high and saw it bounce off the crossbar. Real Madrid held on to advance in the end on away goals after a determined effort from Deportivo to complete the upset.

            Real Sociedad 1 - RC Deportivo 2
            SOC - Canales 26'
            DEP - De Tomas 24', Barral 76'
            MOTM: Lux

Guardado lunged to win a ball at midfield knocking it all the way forward into the box while De Tomas beat his defender and got to it first to strike home into the top left corner. Canales answered back getting the ball at the top of the box and hitting a low dribbling ball into the bottom left corner. Guardado raced down the field on the counter and fired from the left side only to see it hit the right post but bounce out to Barral who powered it into the back of the net.

            Villarreal CF 0 - RC Deportivo 2
            DEP - De Tomas 39', 86'
            MOTM: Lux

Juan Dominguez played it to De Tomas facing away from goal on the right side of the box and he used a quick turn outside to get around his defender and blast a shot over the keeper that hit off the crossbar and in. Aquino played a long ball over the top to Urreta on the left wing and he sent a low ball across the box for De Tomas to run and tap in from in front of goal.

            RC Deportivo 0 - Valencia CF 0
            MOTM: Lux

Valencia came the closest to taking the win after hitting the post twice. Deportivo also had a chance late with De Tomas passing up an open Iglesias to fire a shot of his own that was kept out by the keeper. In the end neither keeper could be beaten and the match ended scoreless.

            Manager Comments

League Form - Our league form continues to be fantastic taking all but 2 points once again as our unbeaten streak improves to 14 games straight in league play. This next month we open away to Barcelona, then go home for Atletico, away at Levante, and close it at home against Granada.

Copa Del Rey - Heart breaking to go out like that. We tied Real on aggregate but they will advance through on those 2 away goals. We just didn't get the job done in the first leg at home. We still had several close chances to take the win in the second leg, but the 2nd goal eluded us.

Academy Update - So far our only addition from Portugal has been Francisco Acuna, but there is still 1 month left for the trip. In other news, Deigo Rodriguez, Jose Enrique, Jorge Asenjo, Pedro Reyes, and Bruno Carmona have all been promoted to the senior squad for the remainder of the season.

              Transfers In

RB, 78 OVR, Tito, 30 years old - Pre-Contract Agreement from Rayo Vallecano

Tito has been a defensive mainstay at Rayo Vallecano since 2009. He helped them achieve promotion to La Liga in his second season with the club and has since been a key contributor in several seasons avoiding relegation. He is expected to come in and compete with Laure for first choice right away while Romero waits in the wings.

CM, 75 OVR, Raul Meireles, 32 years old - Pre-Contract Agreement from Fenerbahce

Raul Meireles is a recognizable figure if not for anything but his tattoos and beat/mohawk combo. He can also kick the ball around pretty well. He first established himself in Porto before making a move to the Premier League and spending time with both Liverpool and then Chelsea. He most recently joined Fenerbahce. He will be an effective choice in the midfield in either of Deportivo's favored two holding midfielder spots.

CB, 71 OVR, Luis Hernandez, 26 years old - Pre-Contract Agreement from Sporting Gijon

Luis Hernandez was brought up in the Real Madrid youth system, but never made an appearance at the senior level before moving to Sporting Gijon's academy. He made his first senior appearance in 2012 with the club and has since become a rotation player in the defense. He is a versatile right footed defender who can play both inside and outside on the back line.

CB, 67 OVR, Roman Golobart, 23 years old - Pre-Contract Agreement from FC Koln

Roman Golobart was a product of the Espanyol academy before moving to Wigan Athletic after a couple loan spells to other clubs, he joined FC Koln in 2013 but has seen limited first team action. He is a promising young player who has the physical tools to succeed, but needs to develop the rest of his skills to become a first team option. He will be added to Deportivo for depth, but could be a reliable injury option if the opportunity arises.

Balotelli!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on the league cup man. You got good wins in all your other premier league games and got through to the FA Cup semis. Good going. It's a shame that you couldn't beat City though. But you are now level with them so that's good. Smashing victory over Zenit too! Good luck with the big games next month.

A real shame to get knocked out of the cup but you did push Real all the way! Good to see De Tomas score against his old club. Good results in the league. De Tomas and Barral are really good together up front! Great job getting up to 2nd. Do you think it's possible to catch Real? I see quite a few Youth Players were promoted, what were their positions and overalls?

Now, Transfers: Nice 2 experienced bosman signings in Tito for the back and Meireles for the midfield. He could possibly be for you like Pirlo is for Juventus? 2 young CBs on bosmans too which is good. I take it you didn't have a lot of money to spend?

                  MotM: Ryan Taylor

Very early on, on loan keeper Moreira proved his worth with a stunning double save. He got down well with his foot to a shot that was deflected at the last minute by Chorley before getting straight back up to block the rebound from Paynter. Taylor showed his prowess in the air heading wide from a corner just 2 minutes before scoring a great diving header. Player of Preseason Hollands picked him out from the left and he peeled away from his marker before heading back across the keeper. Gillespie was called into action again to deny Yesil in the final minute of the half. Moreira then made another double save in the second half diving at the feet of the Carlisle attacker before showing his athleticism diving through the air to stop Marrow's top corner bound, left footed curler. Marrow then missed Carlisle's best chance of the game, before in the 90th minute Yesil showed his dribbling skills beating 3 opponents on the counter attack. Archibald-Henville tried to desperately block the shot but was a split second late bringing down the German-Turk after he had taken his shot. Ryan Taylor stepped up and although the keeper dived the right way and got a touch to it, the ball hit off the post and went in to complete Taylor's brace.

                  Walsall 0-1 Portsmouth

                  Storey 90' (Fogden)

                  MotM: André Moreira

It took the combination of substitutes Storey and Fogden to unlock a tough Walsall defence. The 90th minute winner came after Hollands won the ball back in midfield and it was worked out to Fogden. He got past Taylor's challenge and then got into the box crossing low to Storey who controlled it and sent it past O'Donnell. After that Moreira made two good saves to protect the lead. In the first half there were only two good chances both put wide by Sawyers and Hollands. O'Donnell saved well from Yesil after he broke the line in the second half. While Moreira made the same amount of saves as O'Donnell, he more importantly kept a clean sheet which earned him MOTM just ahead of Hollands.

                  Taylor 14' (Wallace)
                  Shorey 41'
                  Rossiter 63' (Storey)
                  Storey 73' (Barcham)

                  MotM: Nicky Shorey

A convincing 4-0 victory here against Cabee's men with Liverpool loanee Jordan Rossiter marking his debut with a goal plus a good performance. 33 yeard old, left back Nicky Shorey's 34 yard screamer off a free kick made me proud. Everyone played well and we dominated the ball 63%-37%. Moreira had absolutly nothing to do in goal.

Bit disappointed with the result. We had all the chances but none would go in. We hit the post, had a shot cleared off the line and had one shot trickle wide in the last few minutes. Taylor also had a very good header on target from a corner. Bolivian right back Rodríguez received his debut tonight.

                  MotM: Gael Bigirimana

After the last game we wanted to win this one. And that's what we did. It was a great way to bounce back. Bigirimana scored his first goal for the club and also picked up MOTM for his performance. He was solid in the tackle and great in his passing. Jed Wallace then scored the second after we dominated the game. It was a beautiful chip over the keeper from inside the box. Young Jack Whatmough got his first appearance in the centre of defence.

                  Yesil 26' (Hollands)

                  MotM: Daniel Nardiello

Very tough to take as I wanted to go far in this competition but instead we have been knocked out in the first round. That Nardiello had a terrific game bagging two goals, which were the first two goals scored against us this season. Yesil took his goal well driving it low and hard at Jalal's near post. He nearly equalized late on but his effort went just wide. Him and Bigirimana were our best players by far.

                  MotM: Ryan Taylor

We looked to end the month on a high with a victory against York. That's not how it panned out though as we could only manage a draw. After a goalless first half, in which Jarvis hit the post for York, the second half was much more lively. Fletcher opened the scoring outpacing Chorley before shooting in off the post. Yesil came close to an equalizer heading over, as did Wallace when he cut in from the right. It was the German-Turk that got the goal though after we switched to a 4-4-2 Diamond Wide. He arrived late into the box slotting the ball home into the corner. He had a chance to win it with the last kick of the game when he raced through but he was unable to beat Mooney.

                  Portsmouth Player of the Month

                  Ryan Taylor - ST, 63 (+1) Ovr, 26, England

The 6'2" striker netted 3 goals, grabbed 2 assists and earned 2 MOTM awards this month where he led the line superbly. He is great in the air but also quick across the ground which coupled with his strength makes him a great striker to have and a real handful for defenders.

                  Pompey Solid Defence

With 5 clean sheets in 7 games in his first month with the club Keano has really set up the team solidly and the additions of Moreira, Browning and Rodríguez have no doubt helped. These strong foundations have built the format for the attacks that in form players like Ryan Taylor, Miles Storey and Jed Wallace are well able to put away which is pleasing many Pompey fans. One delighted fan said "Keano was a great choice for manager! We'll be back in the Prem in no time!" One slightly more pessimistic fan gave his view on things "So often is the case that when a new manager comes in the team suddenly gets a lift and gets some results. Let's no get carried away here. We need consistency above everything else." Perhaps that's the wise opinion and time will tell whether or not Keano can make sure his side continue to consistently deliver good performances week in, week out. For now though it seems like the appointment has been a well calculated risk.

                  Pastures Anew?

Several fans were furious to see that 31 year old centre back Ben Chorley had been transfer listed. Many believe that he is one of the top players at the club despite his age and were surprised to see that he had indeed actuality been told he could leave. Perhaps Keano prefers to put his faith in younger legs and viewed Chorley as a dispensable piece that could bring in a bit of cash. Thos in turn could be used to fund moves for younger prospects and even in upgrading the club's youth academy. Other players said to be on the way out, possibly even as soon as the January window are veteran, 37 year old, Republic of Ireland striker David Connelly and 34 year old Slovakian shot stopper Peter Brezovan. Please leave your thoughts on Keano's actions in the comments below.

Tough month ahead with 3 of the top 7 and 5 of the top 10 to play. Luckily there is a bit more of a break between each game this month. We will be looking to advance in the cup and get revenge on Bury for knocking us out of the J.Paint Trophy. 12/15 points should be well obtainable.

Hope you enjoyed this month! Please leave any feedback. Thanks for reading!

                    Barclays Premier League Match:

                    Sunderland 1 – Exeter City 1

                    EXE – Bauer (21’)
Reece Brown gives the ball to Robert Bauer who uses a sudden burst of speed to get into the box. He then smashes the ball into the right corner and past Costel Pantillimon. That’s Bauer’s first for the club!

                    SUN Vergini (68’)
Adam Johnson takes a corner from the left and delivers it onto the penalty spot where Santiago Vergini rises above Ryan Inniss to head the ball up and over the keeper and into the top corner.

                    Our Best Performer: Robert Bauer

                    Barclays Premier League Match:

                    QPR 1 – Exeter City 3

                    EXE – Feudjou (10’)
Appiah gives the ball out to the left wing where Tamás is able to cut inside and whip it in with his weaker right foot. The QPR defence try to play the offside trap but Feudjou times his run perfectly allowing him to volley past Stéphane Ruffier in acres of space.

                    EXE – PEN (23’)
Appiah uses his pace to easily get past right-back Michael Harriman and sprint down the left wing. He delivers a zipping low ball into the box and Steven Caulker slides through Feudjou to get the ball but he gets none of it and the striker gets hardly any contact on the ball what so ever. The referee points to the spot and Steven Caulker amazingly gets away with only a warning. Benjamin Feudjou steps up for the penalty and smacks the post. Exeter are still only one up!

                    EXE – Blanc (54’)
Jason Banton uses his speed to get away from a sliding challenge by Yun Suk Young and make his way down the right. He takes it a little too close to the by-line so he has to slide to get it. This pulls the ball back to Maxime Blanc who smashes it with his weaker left foot and he beats the keeper for his first in an Exeter City shirt.

                    QPR – Austin (74’)
Alejandro Faurlín holds off Ryan Inniss before slotting the ball into Charlie Austin who can then easily curl the ball around the keeper.

                    EXE Konate (80’)
Liam Sercombe gives the ball to Konate on the half-way line and he sprints towards the box. He’s tackled by defender, Brice Viera who then passes back to the keeper. The pass is too strong and the touch is too heavy which allows Konate to slide in and poke the ball across the line to seal the three points for Exeter City.

                    Our Best Performer: Kwabena Appiah

                    Assistant Manager, Mike Radford:
“The loan deal for Diego Poyet from Wolves has expired and he has returned back to us ready to use in our squad.”

                    Barclays Premier League Match:

                    Exeter City 1 – West Brom 0

                    EXE – Appiah (23’)
Glen Mabil gathers the ball and boots it to the half-way line where Appiah controls it and goes on the counter. He manages to get past the last defender and into the box where he places the ball into the bottom right corner.

Our Best Performer: Glen Mabil (13 Saves and an assist)

                    Barclays Premier League Match:

                    Arsenal 1 – Exeter City 1

                    EXE – Sercombe (64’)
In the first half Appiah hit the post after drifting into the middle from the left. Just before the break Appiah had to be taken off due to an unfortunate injury and Allassani replaces him on the left wing. Liam Sercombe tries to float the ball over the top of the defence for Saiz Alonso but Monreal manages to jump high and get his head on it. Mikel Arteta tries to get the ball but Sercombe nips in front of him and takes the ball into the penalty area where he dummies a shot to fool the veteran, Per Mertesacker, to then neatly finish into the bottom corner.

                    ARS – Jovetić (66’)
Abou Diaby squares the ball to Stevan Jovetić on the edge of the area. Ryan Inniss should tackle him but Jovetić somehow manages to turn into the penalty area and hit it with the outside of his foot past Glen Mabil to make it a quick equaliser.

                    EXE –Gomez (RED) (72’)
Aaron Ramsey plays Stevan Jovetić through the defence and Joseph Gomez’s only option it to jump in front of the man to stop him from being through on goal. The two men fall over and the ref gives the defender an unsurprising red card and Arsenal get a very close free-kick. Gomez really did take one for the team there...

                    Our Best Performer: Liam Sercombe

                    Dr Peter Riou (Senior Physiotherapist):
“Kwabena Appiah is out for 4 weeks with a Sprained Ankle.” (Will be replaced by Inters Konate)

Capital One Cup Quarter Final Match:

                    Arsenal 2 – Exeter City 1

                    ARS – Ramsey (PEN) (17’)
Allassani collides into Giovani dos Santos whilst he’s in the area and the referee gives a penalty. It’s debateable and Allassani gets no card at all. Ramsey blasts the ball down the middle and Glen Mabil dives to the right. Arsenal have the lead.

                    EXE Flamini (OG) (21)
Arsenal look a little on the back foot as Reise Allassani bombs down the left wing and he manages to get past Callum Chambers before delivering and amazing ball into the box with his weaker left foot. The ball loops over to the back post where Konate gets a firm head on it but Wojciech Szczęsny makes a great reaction save. The ball rolls out to Saiz Alonso on the edge of the box who stops the ball and then smashes it towards goal. It’s off target until Arsenal captian, Mathieu Flamini jumps in the way of it and gets a minute touch on it to divert it into the top left corner of the net. Saiz Alonso claims it but Flamini has scored an own goal.

ARS – Dos Santos (RED) (45’)
A throw-in goes to Jack Wilshere who passes the ball to the corner of the penalty box. Allassani gets a slight touch on it so it’s a race between Saiz Alonso and Dos Santos. Alonso gets there first and gets a touch on it before being toppled over by a sliding challenge from the striker. Giovani was already on a yellow card for excessively pulling back Liam Sercombe and the ref shows him another yellow and then a red. Arsenal are down to ten men at half time...

                    ARS Chamberlain (47’)
Santi Cazola whips the ball in from a corner into the near post where Oxl.-Chamberlain gets in front of Saiz Alonso to head past Glen Mabil at a tight angle and Arsenal are back in front. Poor defending of the set-piece by Exeter...

Our Best Performer: Glen Mabil (11 Saves)

Aaron Davis (United States) 15 years old 65-69 OVR 87-93 POT
                    - This 5’10 right-footer looks to be an amazing striker. His best attributes are his heading accuracy, shot power, finishing and ball control. This physically strong youth player should be the real deal once he joins the ranks of the senior team.

                    Press Conference:

Q: Kwabena Appiah is out for four weeks. How much of an impact do you think that will have?

A: Whenever he’s on the pitch, he’s always threatening to score and I can’t remember the last time that he had a bad game. This is why we will miss him but I have the upmost confidence in my other strikers who also are prolific goalscorers.

Q: Once again, Arsenal have knocked you out the cup. Would you have done anything different, looking back on it now?

A: Arsenal are an amazing team! They’re consistent and they have many world class players that can capitalise on any mistake.

I’m a little disappointed in being knocked out of the cup but we didn’t bring our A-game and we were beat fair and square, even if it was against ten men. We could have played better in that game and that’s why I’m disappointed.
I’m very happy with seventh in the league and I hope that we can stay there and continue to prove ourselves up against the greats. Hopefully the loss of Kwabena Appiah will not affect us too much, with Konate stepping up in his absence.
December isn’t looking too bad but the game that I’ll have to prepare for is against Liverpool who will be hard to break down.

                    December’s Games:

                    Everton (H)
                    Aston Villa (H)
                    Stoke City (A)
                    Liverpool (A)
                    Watford (H)
                    Stoke (H)

                    * Denotes a cup game

Exciting!! Love the way you start off and i'm loving all the rhetorical questions in it to really get you thinking! Great choice of team by the way and your plan/tactics look solid. It nice to see that you've clearly been searching for the best lineup possible and you've sure got a good one there! It's obviously not enough to dethrone Barca and Madrid but you've got a great foundation there.

I'm looking forward to this and I also hope that you grab Yassine Chikhaoui as he looks like an amazing number 10!

I'm glad to find that you're doing another player career because you always make them insightful and well detailed to let us know what you've been up to in that particular month. Also the screenshots are always really good which i enjoy too!

Turning to your first proper month in the Championship, you've been doing well by the looks of it and you even got a few goals and assists which is highly admirable. Long may it continue!

Interesting! Love the team that you have managed to get here! Sooo much potential and just overall ...greatness!

I have the upmost confidence that you'll be able to gain automatic promotion with a team as good as that! Your pre-season went well so I'm looking forward to you thrashing everyone in league 2. (Go easy on Exeter!)

Balotelli clocking some crucial goals against Chelsea and Zenit this month, allowing you to win the league cup by a narrow margin!

A lossless month has given you a great bunch of point to stay level with Man City at the top and a considerable distance between 3rd place Arsenal.

I'm highly anticipating the Champions League Quarter and/or Semi finals against Chlesea and an undecided team. You can get a real nice boost in money and in reputation for getting anywhere near those rounds which is always a great bonus. Good Luck!

A Russian League sounds like a very charming perspective which has a league with great (sometimes overlooked) players in it. I will very much look forward to seeing what team is chosen and what you do with them!

My choice is FC Ural. There's some sort of feel to them which I like. They have a nice mid-age team and Gogniev looks like the soul of the squad. I like the purchases of older players becuase it gives the feeling of some nice experiance to the team. Chisamba Lungu looks like the life of the team with (what i think is) the quickest player in the squad. And that pairs nicely with his potential being joint top if I see everything correctly. Lets not dodge the fact they need a lot of work to become truely great though! But that's why we like them!

It's cool to see that you are having an impact in the English leagues due to the amount of loaned players you have there. But focusing on you; the transfers you've made are great, I enjoy bringing experiance to the team and that's exactly what you've done! I'm looking forward to seeing how the veteran, Raul Meireles does too!

Good luck for the second half of the season!

That result against Exeter City but you definately deserved it. It's a low blow to see us at the bottom of the table too but enough about them. You had a great start to the season but unfortunately, Bury knocked you off course a little and knocked you out of the J.Paint Trophy altogether which is surprising but those things happen and I had my fair share of disappointment with a few unforseen twists in cup games so I know how you feel.

I'd just like to add that Ryan Taylor was a beast in my CM! He managed to score more than my three star strikers (Jake Sinclair, Tom Nichols and Graham Cummins) until the last month of the season where Cummins and Sinclair scored a bucketload of goals so you can see that I only have praise for him and the partnership with Yesil gives me great condifence that you'll be banging in the goals game after game!

                        Ha Ho He

                        February 2016

                        Quarter Final
                        Hertha BSC 4 - 2 Bayern München
                        Stocker 5', 28', 90' pen, Drmic 66'
                        Ribery 16', 61'

Arguably the two best teams of the Bundesliga faced in this very exciting DFB Pokal quarter final at the full Olympiastadion. The home fans didn't have to wait long for the first goal as Atsuto Uchida's cross was headed into the net by Valentin Stocker only five minutes into the game. Ten minutes later Bayern's Franck Ribery equalised with a shot that took a bounce off Joel Matip. Hertha managed to take the lead again before the half an hour mark with Stocker's brace which he scored to finish off a solo run through the last third of the pitch. This time the Berliners stayed in the lead for half an hour before Ribery equalised again. This time Bayern's Rode passed the ball to him outside Hertha's box. John Brooks took a step to the wrong direction which left Ribery completely free to shoot the ball into the bottom right corner. Just five minutes later Hertha took the lead once again, this time thanks to Josip Drmic's first time shot which Valentin Stocker assisted. In stoppage time Drmic got taken down in the box and Stocker managed to complete his hattrick from the penalty. Hertha BSC will face Bayern little brother 1860 München in the second half.

                        Hannover 96 1 - 1 Hertha BSC
                        Prib 37'
                        Ben-Hatira 90'

Hertha Berlin's up and down form continued in this league match against Hannover 96. The Berliners didn't have almost any chances in the first half and Hannover's Prib slotted a low near post shot past Stefanos Kapino in the 37th minute. It took Hertha BSC an hour to equalise the game as Änis Ben-Hatira shot the ball into the top right corner with a first time shot to secure a point.

                        Hertha BSC 2 - 0 Hoffenheim 1899
                        Werner 12', Baba 30'

Hoffenheim weren't a big challenge for Hertha in their last game of the month before the first leg of the Europa League round of 32 match against Napoli. Timo Werner scored first with a left-footed shot that went into the top right corner. In the 30th minute Baba the left back had made a run into the box and he scored the second goal of the game with a header that bounced off Hoffenheim's centre back and keeper before going into the net.

                        Round of 32, First leg
                        Napoli 1 - 2 Hertha BSC
                        Insigne 90'
                        Stocker 42', Drmic 54'

Both teams were looking for the win in this very fast paced and exciting game. Napoli's pacy attackers caused some problems in the first half and they even hit the post once. It wasn't them who took the lead first, though. Timo Werner ran down the left wing and he played in a low cross which was put into the net by Valentin Stocker. Ten minutes after that the Berliners doubled their lead after a long passing move which was ended by Josip Drmic's first time shot from Arnold's pass. Napoli managed to pull one back in stoppage time when Sebastian Langkamp decided to chest the ball down instead of clearing it. Lorenzo Insigne reacted quickly and he shot the ball into the net. Hertha's two away goals could prove to be very important.

                        Eintracht Frankfurt 0 - 4 Hertha BSC
                        Kalou 11', 31', 33', Ben-Hatira 79'

The one game that separated the Europa League games ended in an easy win for Hertha. Salomon Kalou got his first of the night about ten minutes into the first half when Valentin Stocker intercepted a pass and played Kalou through on goal. Twenty minutes later the Ivorian got a brace from Timo Werner's low cross. Two minutes after that he finished his hattrick by stealing the ball from Frankfurt's player right from kick off. Änis Ben-Hatira scored the fourth goal by cutting in from the right flank and shooting the ball into the net off the post.

                        Round of 32, Second leg
                        Hertha BSC (2) 1 - 2
                        (2) Napoli, After Penalties
                        Stocker 69'
                        Zapata 16', Jorginho 74'

The second leg of the tie was always going to be an interesting one. Hertha had an advantage thanks to their away goals but Napoli were going to fight to the end. The Italians managed to take the lead in very strange fashion: Ghoulam threw the ball into the box from a throw in. Duvan Zapata and Joel Matip jumped for the ball but the defender missed the ball. Zapata then headed the ball over Kraft into the right of the net to equalise the aggregate score. Both teams then had some attacks but the next goal was scored after the hour mark when Valentin Stocker stole the ball from Napoli's Maggio and curled the ball into the bottom right corner. Only five minutes later another defensive mistake by Joel Matip lead to Napoli's equaliser: he did not jump which meant that Jorginho had an easy job heading the ball into the top right corner of the net. The goal meant that the aggregate score was 2-2 and both teams had two away goals. It was time for a dull extra time and after that for penalties.

                        Spoiler

                        Hertha BSC 2 - 0 FC Schalke 04
                        Werner 40', Ben-Hatira 90'

In their last game of the month Hertha BSC managed to bounce back from that very disappointing elimination from the Europa League. They took a convinsing victory from Schalke in front of their home fans. The Berliners got the lead in the 40th minute when Timo Werner put the ball into the net with a half volley from a cleared corner. In the 71st minute Ralf Fährmann took down Salomon Kalou and got sent off from a challenge that didn't look like a foul. The following penalty was saved by Fabian Giefer who just came onto the pitch. In the 90th minute Salomon Kalou, Änis Ben-Hatira and Andre Hahn were all through on goal. Kalou passed the ball to Ben-Hatira on the left who had an easy job tapping it into the net.

                        Player of the Month

                        Valentin Stocker

Valentin Stocker is the player of the month for the second time in a row. The attacking midfielder is enjoying the form of his life and he has been an important piece of Hertha's attack this season. In February Stocker scored five important goals and he assisted a couple more.

                        Hot

                        Valentin Stocker

The player of the month Valentin Stocker was the only man who had a great month in February. His goals and assists this month were very important for his team.

                        Not

                        Joel Matip

The central defender was enjoying a run of good form until February. His two defensive errors eliminated Hertha from the Europa League.

                        Bundesliga Table

                        1. Hertha BSC, 61 pts
                        2. Bayer Leverkusen, 55 pts
                        3. Borussia Dortmund, 51 pts
                        4. Borussia Mönchengladbach, 46 pts
                        5. Bayern München, 45 pts
                        6. FC Schalke 04, 39 pts
                        ------------------------------------------------------
                        16. Fortuna Düsseldorf, 19 pts
                        17. FC Nürnberg, 14 pts
                        18. FC Kaiserslautern, 8 pts

                        Headlines

                        Top of the table -
Hertha BSC are still leading the Bundesliga for the sixth month in a row. Bayer Leverkusen had a chance to take the lead after Hertha BSC drew with Hannover but the pressure was too much and they lost their game. After that game Leverkusen dropped four more points and now it's looking like Hertha will run away with the title.

Bye bye Europe - Napoli eliminated Hertha BSC in terrible fashion from the Europa League. The German national team may win on penalties but that's not what happens in European competitions. Bayern lost the final on penalties in 2012, Leverkusen lost in the Champions League round of 16 on penalties in 2015 and now a year later Hertha BSC lost on penalties.

Stocker > Kalou? - In the last few months Salomon Kalou hasn't scored as many goals as he did before that. Sure, he popped in a couple there and three here but that is not what the fans are hoping for, especially after the first half of the season. While Kalou hasn't been at his best another player has reached top form in attack: Valentin Stocker. The Swiss man has been the biggest goal threat in the past two months and he has created lots of goals.

I can't decide who to pick so I'm seeking everyone's help to come up with a decision. Here are the choices:

                          Option 3

History: 10 Years in RFPL, best finish 4th (2008)

                          Option 5

                          Club Rating: 2.5 Stars
                          Team Attributes: Attack - 69, Midfield - 63, Defense - 60
                          Transfer Budget: 3.3 million
Top Player: ST Spartak Gogniev (69 overall) - 31 years old
History: 5 Years in RFPL, best finish 8th (1993, 1995)

Any feedback would be appreciated. I'm hoping to start this weekend, so let me know what you think!
I'd go with Amkar or Ural. Ural have more talent and they have some young players who have okay potential but Amkar have a better budget and better ratings.

Overall a pretty good month. It sucks a lot to lose in the first round of the cup, though. At least you have two more cups left. You got off to a good start in the league and you should be able to win it. The transfers look good and I hope that you can sign the loanees next year if they do well.

Noooo, Brooks and Leno did not do that! I'm very disappointed in both of them. Why would Brooks stay at Juve as a bench warmer when he could be a starter for you in a similar country to his home nation? Hopefully you manage to persuade him and Leno.

We played a weaker team due to the fixture list and our priority on other games. However, this didn't effect us with us being the better team and being rewarded after Davis, an unknown goalscorer had a one two with Donaldson to place it past the keeper. Donaldson doubled our lead in the second half after he stopped at the corner of the box and blasted it to the far side netting. We put the icing on the cake when Donaldson won a free kick near the corner flag. Cotterill crossed it in to find a leaping header from Donaldson into the net.

Gaspar: Really enjoyed the result, the team played great and we strongly deserved the 3 points. The players played don't normally get games and it was nice to see that they played their heart out in order to get more game time. We can be a very strong team in the latter stages of the season if we have a "second team" that can perform like that.

                            Championship - St Andrew's, 6/1/15
                            Birmigham City 4-2 Watford
                            (Hancox 20', Thomas (PEN) 61' 78' 90')
                            (Spector (OG) 45', Vydra 70')

An end to end game, we gained the lead when Hancox was found near the side of the box after pushing up from starting the original play to smash it past Bond the Watford keeper. Watford would come into the changerooms on even playing ground when a cross hit Spector's chest and bounced in. We won our first penalty of the season when Hancox was pulled down in the box. Thomas smashed it past Bond. 9 minutes later a cross found the head of Vydra who headed it near post to level the game again. Thomas was found free and onside as a through ball was passed in to give us the lead again. And as Watford had everyone forward, Rantie passed the ball across the box for the easy tap in to give him the hattrick and us the win.

Gaspar: Another great win, we struggled with the crosses but besides that we played well. Happy for the home fans to see a win, we haven't won many at home mainly drawn, so thats nice.

FA Cup - London Road Stadium, 10/1/15
                            Peterbrough 0-3 Birmingham City
                            (Smith (OG) 52', Donaldson 90+2, Green 90+5)

Playing my second team, the game started very boring with both teams struggling to get into their attacking third's until half time. We came out attacking and scored 7 minutes in after a own goal to Smith in a simular way to how Spector scored his, from a cross and deflecting off Smith head. We held the lead until the end when Donaldson tapped in the ball after a pass across the box by Caddis. Green stole the ball off the defender and ran to make the game beyond reach.

Gaspar: First half was frustrating not creating many chances, we still didn't create many until the end but we knew we were in control. And that shows me that my players have faith in their own defending, which is great to know as a manager.

West Midlands Derby looms as Birmingham and West Brom fight for a Capital One Cup place.
                            Birmingham Mail, 13/1/15

It has been almost 4 years since these two rivals have played each other but tomorrow night Birmingham will host West Brom. Birmingham have had a surprising season currently 8th with their new young manager in Jake Gaspar and are playing some very attacking football scoring the most goals in the league so far. West Brom who are not doing so well are sitting dead last in the Premier League with Alan Irivne on his last steps as a first time manager, with this cup run being his only life line.

In the Press Conference yesterday. Gaspar wanted this game to mean everything to the players and to play for the fans, who have gone through a lot of hardship over these four years.

Gaspar refused to comment on the owners of the club and that they are trying to sell the club after the board have been under a lot of investegation over money problems outside football. It is also rumoured that little money was given to Gaspar for this window, but Gaspar didn't comment on that either.

Capital One Cup Semi Final 1st Leg - St Andrew's, 14/1/15
                            Birmingham City 1-2 West Brom
                            (Thomas 21')
                            (Mulumbu 6', Sessegnon 79')

We started the worst way possible when Mulumbu found a hole in the defence as the ball went to him for him to score from 3 yards. We then attacked and found ourselves back in the game when Thomas found himself free in front of Foster who originally saved the shot but the ball bounced back to Thomas as he placed it into the net. We defended and defended very well but were opened up and Sessegnon scored a great unbalanced goal to win the first leg.

Gaspar:Disappointed on the result I thought we deserved the draw, but a team like West Brom can punish mistakes and that's what happened tonight. Told the boys to keep their heads up and focus on the next games which are really important.

                            Championship - The Den, 17/1/15
                            Millwall 1-2 Birmingham City
                            (Trotta 88')
                            (Packwood 37', Gray 59')

A corner whipped in from Reilly found the head of 6'3 Packwood who powered it into the far corner. The game was dull for the most part until Reilly played a great one two with Gray who finessed it home. Trotta scored a header on the back post but it counted for just goal differences as we held on.

Gaspar: Gutsy performance, we struggled I thought, but the team showed great character to scrape the result. Especially after the West Brom result.

                            www.bcfc.com
                            20th of January 2015

Today the club will like to announce the signings of two players who will join the blues at the end of the season on a free transfer. We would like to announce the signing of Peterborough Centre Back, Michael Bostwick and Valenciennes Defensive Midfielder, Pape Abdou Camara. Bostwick has played for Peterborough since 2012 whilst Camara has also been at his current club since 2012 but has not played much for them.

The Birmingham City are delighted to have signed these two players and look foward to seeing them in Blue.

                            #GoBlues.

                            Michael Bostwick

                            Pape Camara

                            Championship - St Andrew's, 24/1/15
                            Birmingham City 1-1 Ipswich Town
                            (Rantie 90+5)
                            (McGoldrick 23')

Ipswich started brightly and showed it as they hit the lead when a ball was headed down to McGoldrick who was 12 yards, right in front of the goal to place it past Randolph. Ipswich played extremely well as we could not get past their defensive line. Until Rantie used his pace to slide behind their tiring defence and score with the last kick of the game.

Gaspar: We didn't play well. We deserved that goal against us and the way Ipswich defended was brilliant. However, the boys showed great determination and we got a result from fighting to the end.

"So it comes to this... Birmingham need 2 goals to go through or are out due to away goals rule. Away to a Premier League club, it's a huge challenge."
                            - Alan Smith

                            FA Cup - St Andrew's, 31/1/15
                            Birmingham City 4-2 Sunderland
                            (Rantie 7' 45', Donaldson 23', Cotterill 86')
                            (Johnson 19' 42')

Playing a rotated side from a quick turnaround in games, we came out firing and scored inside 10 minutes when Donaldson played an inch perfect ball too Rantie who placed it under the keeper. A cross from Réveillère found the head of Fletcher who headed it down to Johnson to half volley it from a yard out to level the game. A long shot from Spector was parried by Pantilimon to Donaldson who on the touchline scored with the Sunderland keeper being off his line. Johnson again scored when a shot from Fletcher was parried to a free Johnson who just smashed it in. 10 seconds before the start of injury time Rantie cut in from the wing and finess it past the 6'7 keeper to give us the lead going into half time. Our defence was extremely strong as Sunderland struggled, bringing on strikers. As all of them were pushed up Cotterill was free as he out powered O'Shea and placed it into the net booking our place into the last 16 in front of a full St Andrew's

Gaspar: This win is dedicated to the fans and nobody else. Thankyou. We thought you were a 12th man and I hope we see you all down for the rest of the season.

                            Deadline Day
                            • Mark Duffy has left the club and joined Leeds for 375k.
                            • Denny Johnstone has joined Bradford City on loan for the rest of the season.
                            • Olly Lee will join Brentford on a free at the end of the season.

We also invested in a scout who will be in England.

                            Player of the Month
                            Tokelo Rantie

Rantie didn't have the most goals or assist this month but his goals he scored had more meaning. He firstly scored the last minute equaliser too get a point against Ipswich. He then scored the only goal at the Hawthorns and was probably our best player. Then single handlely humiliated Sunderland's defence with his pace. We rejected a 7 million offer for him this window and you can see why.

                            Press Conference
                            Febuary 1st 2015

Q: How do you rate this month from a scale of 10?

Gaspar: 9. We lost one game and drew one game in a month with 8 games. I heard that's pretty good. However, that's why its a nine and not top marks.

Q: What did you think of January?

Gaspar: The boys had a massive challange going into this month with it being a make or break month, all players who played, played with passion and determination to win. We missed out on the cup final and that can sour a month, which it did, but gave the team more motivation. I can say I'm extremely proud.

Q: You focused this month on the fans. Why?

Gaspar: Birmingham is a football city and they regard their footy highly. These fans have seen this team fall a lot and have gone through hard times. With the fixtures we had ,I wanted to show the fans that like you we are fighters and want to win for you.

Q: You signed two players that will come in next season, Who are they and what will they bring?

Gaspar: Bostwick is a traditional CB that can play in midfield, he is tall and strong and will fit in the backline real well. I always want a DM that is extremely strong, and whilst Jon (Spector) is doing very well this season I feel we need that strength and height in midfield and thats what Camara brings.

Q: No signings that involve fee's? Is this because the owners are selling the club and don't want to invest into it, These owners have been a massive disruption to the club with the fans not agreeing with them. Was this an issue?

Gaspar: Well I would of loved more money to spend, but that's like all managers. We were scouting players but not for this window. I think the team is great how it is now for the rest of the season. I do understand the owners problems, but they have been fully supporting towards me. My job is too manage a team and win games. Not deal with the front office and board issues. What happens happens.

                            Gaspar: thankyou for coming

                            -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                            Thanks for reading, Feedback appriciated.

Sorry I haven't posted in a week had a few personal issues to deal with.

With post the team tactics and line up and whats actually occuring instead of a storyline either Sunday or Monday followed by the Febuary and March updates.

Changed manager's thoughts to the press conference to make it more realistic and wil probably stick to that.

                            Thanks.

Bruno Carmona, RM (16 yrs old) - 72 OVR Exciting Prospect

I can't see if the other guys have any potential statuses until they get to 60 OVR.

As for transfers, I actually have a pretty big budget right now, but I didn't make any purchases for this season for two reasons. The first being how well the team is playing as a whole right now, and the second being that I am forcing myself to have to make a profit in transfer windows. So since I didn't sell anyone I couldn't bring anyone in outside of the Bosman signings which are free.

I get excited every time I have a free kick chance! It's all about finding the right players and then getting the technique down. Trust me, I still hit the wall, or sky it over the crossbar plenty of times. But I like having the feeling that when I draw that foul there's a good chance to get a goal. I had to put in a lot of work in the practice arena in FIFA 14 to get it down though lol.
