Congrats on your upcoming graduation. Could have sworn you were a lot older than 21/22, but hey, that's why I'm not a forensic voice analyst. Nice result there, and a shame you weren't playing Stoke, because... come on, imagine the pun in the title.

Congrats on your graduation! Hope it was worth it. Great win against Spurs. Your squad is coming together very nicely. Leno is definitely an upgrade from Adrián and Rafa looks very good. Delph was immense against Spurs, as was Dybala. I think that you need a top class poacher or a strong, athletic finisher to really put the cherry on top. Maybe someone like Jackson Martínez or Ciro Immobile. Carroll and Wickham will be good back ups though.

              MAKING THEM DREAM
              SEASON 2
              LEGENDARY
              PS4

              Transfers IN:

Lorenzo Insigne: £22 million from Fiorentina
Mathew Ryan: £7 million from Club Brugge
Geoffrey Kondogbia: £4.3 million from AS Monaco
Kamil Glik: £11.5 million from Torino
Adam Federici: £1.3 million from Reading

              Transfers OUT:

Teddy Bishop: Loan to Yeovil Town
Divock Origi: £30 million to Real Madrid
              Ryan McLaughlin: Loan to Portsmouth
              Jordan Rossiter: Loan to Brighton
Iago Aspas: £9.5 million to Newcastle
              Tiago Ilori: Loan to Newcastle

              Community Shield

              Liverpool 3-2 Manchester City
              Kompany (OG) 19
              Benzema 45
              Sturridge 77
              Benzema 82
              Lambert 87

I have to say, Manchester City dominated this match but we took our chances. They had the first effort, Benzema having his shot from the edge of the box clawed away by Mignolet. Navas then put an absolutely wonderful chance wide, Benzema's back-heel splitting the defence but Navas sliced the ball when 1 vs 1. We took the lead when Sterling waltzed past Clichy, flicked it in towards Sturridge and Kompany bundled the ball into his own net. Benzema put a shot wide minutes later before Clyne probably should have been sent off for a rash tackle. Le Frenchman finally got a goal, heading in unmarked from Toure's cross. The second half lacked meaningful highlights until the 77th minute, when Lallana played a ball over the top to Sturridge who controlled it and stroked in. Benzema equalised again, this time heading in from Zabaleta's cross. Lambert won it late on, smashing into the top corner from Sterling's ball through.

              Match 1

              Liverpool 2-1 Spurs
              Eriksen 31
              Balotelli 58
              Balotelli 90

We had the first chance of the game, Sturridge heading over from Clyne's deep cross. Capoue headed just wide minutes later when he really should have scored. Eriksen gave Spurs the lead, firing in at the near post after Chadli skinned Clyne on the wing. Sturridge soon missed another chance, this time firing over from Balotelli's low ball across goal. Balo equalised when Sturridge played the ball straight to his feet and the Italian waltzed into the box. He soon found himself surrounded so he blasted it into the top far corner leaving Lloris rooted to the spot. Dos Santos had a wonderful chance to give Spurs the lead, hitting the post with a header after Sakho mistimed the jump. Balo won it in the closing seconds with a great goal. From a throw in, Sterling played it to Balo who took one touch to turn and then fired in with the outside of his boot with his second from 25 yards. An exceptional goal and what a way to win it.

              Match 2

              Norwich 0-0 Liverpool
I always have trouble beating Norwich so I was not looking forward to this match. I left the stadium livid at our lack of 3 points. We had 4 or 5 good chances, the first coming when Henderson’s header was caught by Ruddy. Sturridge had an effort saved well before Balotelli’s dipping free kick was unbelievably saved by Ruddy low to the bottom corner. Our best chance came when Sturridge skipped into the box but his effort was caught by Ruddy. We just couldn’t win and then Henderson got injured for 4 weeks. Great...

              Match 3

              Liverpool 2-1 Aston Villa
              Insigne 10
              Coutinho 45
              Delph 59

              Simmed.

              Manager Thoughts

A new era in Liverpool Football Club is beginning. Gerrard did not have his contract renewed, the end of 15+ years of consistency. With a new emphasis on youth, Skrtel will be offloaded in January, especially considering his current contract situation of him refusing contracts towards the end of last season. So let’s talk about our outgoing transfers, and there will be one that caught the eye. Divock Origi, 20 year old Belgian international off to Real Madrid for £30 million. There was no hesitation in accepting that deal. Not one game played for us but I knew, with us he wouldn’t reach his potential. His positions are covered by the youth of Coutinho, Sturridge and Balotelli. Aspas went out for £9.5 million, brilliant. There were no plans to use his and it was an immediate offer £2.5 million above his value. We sent out a lot of youth on loan as well.

Now let’s talk about the interesting stuff. We’ll start with the big one, Lorenzo Insigne. The tiny man has amazing agility and moves really quickly. Absolutely wonderful technically and on the ball, he can beat his man with ease and it usually takes 3 or 4 to stop him. He displays characteristics in his dribbling similar to that of Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi. At only 23 years old, we may have one of the best players of the future on our hands. We brought in two keepers, Mathew Ryan and Adam Federici. Ryan has been brought in as a brilliant young talent as backup, Australia's number 1 already in his short career. Federici is on the other end of the spectrum, 30 years old and brought in from Reading. He wanted out and was happy to settle for a backup role at the champions of England. Kondogbia has been brought in purely for depth and at a bargain price, while Glik has also been brought in for depth and may have been an overspend.

Yes! I've started a French Career!

I wanted to take myself out of my comfort zone and do something totally different. That's where I stumbled across the Ligue 2 team, Gazélec Ajaccio! (Or GFCA for short)

I've not had much experiance with Legendary difficulty which is what I'm going to change now. On top of this, I will have a minimal budget (in Euros, to make it more realistic) and I will have the board financial strictness on strict which means I only get sixty percent of the transfer amount negotiated. I will use the Operation Sport sliders as I feel these deliver a realistic feel to the game. For some added fun, I'm going to change the commentary language to French just so I can feel like i'm properly playing in a different league.

Transfer-wise, I'm gonna try and find some great French talent but also make some realistic signings and keeping to the house rules I've made for myself.

                  Difficulty: Legendary

                  Sliders: OS Gameplay Sliders
                  Half Length: 10 Minutes
                  Financial Strictness: Strict (60%)
Squads: Currently Customised (I don't have an online account so I do transfers/updates myself)

I've also taken the liberty of making some house rules that I will stick to throughout the whole of the career:

House Rules (Rules 1,2,3,5 and 8 were originally from OP member, 'OZ')

                  1. Any player with high demand from big teams that offer big money get sold. No exceptions, everyone is for sale for the right price.

                  2. Only allowed to bring up 4 youth players a year. 5 if one is a GK. Only allowed to keep 2 on the roster for next season. Cut or sell. If loaned they get another year to prove themselves on the team.

                  3. No starting 11 player can start in a cup game before the quarter finals, unless if necessary due to small roster or injury. And then they are subs, not starters.

                  4. If a player gets a red card, they will miss three games. I add two games myself to the suspension. If a player gets a suspension due to yellow build up, they miss 1 game (5 yellows) and two games through 10 yellows and 3 games through 15 yellows.

                  5. Any player that creates a buzz about themselves in the media about being unhappy or missing home, regardless of the usual turn around that they will stay, gets traded. I don't have time for your look at me nonsense. This is a team.

                  6. Sign no more than 2 free transfers in January. No free transfer player can be same/better as your current best player. So if the player with the most overall in your squad has 70 OVR then any free transfer player has to be 69 OVR or lower.

                  7. Buy no more than 3 players in January. (Excluding free transfers.)

                  8. Only scout local area (for an English team that means England, Scotland, and Ireland) at first. After promotion to League 1, can expand to other countries within the same zone (Northern Europe). After next promotion, can expand to all of Europe. After promotion to Premier League can expand to entire world (North and South America, Africa, and Asia).

                  9. You have to have eight home-grown players in your squad at all times. (Be the same nationality of the League’s location.) For example, a French team will always need eight French-born players in their squad.

                  10. Make realistic singings! Avoid the Brazilian wonder kids! Or the glitched players that you can by for free.

                  11. If a youngster (Age 20 or lower) shows good form, it’s in the best interests of the team for him to start the next match. (Not obligatory.)

                  12. You can only have a YA scout that has two stars or less for experience and judgement. Even the best scouts don’t find amazing teens every month. This makes you realise that it’s extremely difficult to find talented players and appreciate the ones that do have high potential.

                  Why Gazélec Ajaccio?:

Founded in 1910, they are the lesser-known Ajaccio club, overshadowed by their neighbours AC Ajaccio for a number of decades. Gazelec play their home matches at Stade Ange-Casanova which only has a capacity of 2,885 – due to renovations, the lowest in the whole of Ligue 2 by some distance. The pitch constantly ranks as one of the worst in the division, and facilities are extremely poor. The club shot to fame in 2012 while still in National thanks to a long run to the semi-finals of the Coupe de France, in addition to a fantastic promotion up to Ligue 2. However, they struggled in the 2nd tier the following campaign, eventually finishing rock bottom. At least the club managed to bounce back immediately, but based on their previous stint in Ligue 2, expectations were pretty low.

                  + Accurate shooting from distance
                  - Old, will not grow much anymore

LDM: Julien François, 65 Ovr, 35 Years Old

+ High stamina and strength attributes
                  + Short passing is sound
                  + Versatile
+ Heading compliments his 6’4 height
                  - Won’t grow much because of age
                  - Very slow and clumsy in movement

RM: Louis Poggi, 66 Ovr, 30 Years Old

                  + Amazing stamina
                  + Pretty quick and agile
+ Crossing is not too bad
                  + Good dribbling stat
                  + Might track back lots
                  - Won’t grow due to his age
                  - Movement stats might fall quickly for an older winger

CAM: Kévin Mayi, 64 Ovr, 21 Years Old

                  + Second quickest player
                  + High finishing stat
                  + Dribbling is sharp
                  - Will fatigue easily
                  - Cannot pass very accurately

LM: Lucas Libbra, 54 Ovr, 18 Years Old

                  + Great balance
                  + Best penalty taker
                  + Fairly quick
                  + Has time to grow
                  - Awful stamina
                  - Will easily get shrugged off the ball due to low strength

ST: Ali M’Madi, 67 Ovr, 24 Years Old

+ Very quick (quickest in team)

                  + Skilled finishing

                  Notable Substitutes

CM: Florian Fabre, 54 Ovr, 27 Years Old

+ Passing is best part of his game
                  - Doesn’t look like the type of midfielder we particularly need
                  - Age will prevent Fabre from growing

LM: Mohamed Larbi, 60 Ovr, 27 Years Old

+ Won’t run out of steam quickly
                  + Well rounded
                  + Short passes are good
                  - Ball control and dribbling is sloppy
                  - More of a central midfielder
                  - Hasn’t got much pace for a winger

ST: Grégory Pujol, 69 Ovr, 34 Years Old

                  + An experienced striker
+ Easily capable of jumping higher than his markers
+ Offensive positioning and vision are high
                  - Slow
                  - Old, will not grow anymore

                    Ha Ho He

                    October 2016

                    Hertha BSC 1 - 1 Hamburger SV
                    Kalou 86'
                    Lasogga 90' pen

Surprisingly Hertha BSC have struggled in some games this season. This home game against HSV was one of them. There wasn't almost any action in the first half but in the second half Hertha woke up. They had a total of ten shots on target but only one went in. Josip Drmic's shot was blocked and the ball bounced in the air. Rene Adler rushed out of his goal but Salomon Kalou got to the ball first and he nicked it past the keeper. Everything looked fine until the 90th minute when Lustenberger got sent off for a challenge on Lasogga in the box. The ex-Hertha striker just shot the ball into the middle of the goal to level the game.

                    Werder Bremen 1 - 2 Hertha BSC
                    Obraniak 18'
                    Ben-Hatira 5', Kalou 70'

Änis Ben-Hatira thanked for his playing time by tapping in a goal only five minutes into the game. Werder's Ludovic Obraniak managed to equalise ten minutes later after some bad defending but Salomon Kalou's clinical finishing from a counter attack was enough to secure the three points.

                    Real Madrid 2 - 1 Hertha BSC
                    Bale 52', Ramos 76'
                    Kalou 28'

Hertha were off to Madrid to face the biggest and toughest opponent of their group of death, Real Madrid. The fans of both teams were surprised when Salomon Kalou got the lead for his team from Son's rebounded shot. The Berliners then started defending their lead and they managed to do that until the 52nd minute when Ron-Robert Zieler threw the ball straight to Gareth Bale who then just chipped the keeper.
                    Spoiler

The goal was the changing point. The Whites kept on pushing and throwing players in attack and finally in the 76th minute Cristiano Ronaldo's cross was headed into the net by vice-captain fantastic Sergio Ramos. That goal was enough for Real as their took their third victory in their group. Meanwhile Benfica beat Basel and they are now three points clear of Hertha.

                    Hertha BSC 3 - 1 Eintracht Frankfurt
                    Stocker 31', Arnold 45', Drmic 82'
                    Inui 67'

Hertha were able to get a routine three points from this game against Eintracht Frankfurt. Valentin Stocker, who has been out of from this season, scored at the half an hour mark with a shot that he placed right into the bottom left corner. Fifteen minutes later Maximilian Arnold scored from a parried shot to double the lead. After the hour mark Takashi Inui pulled one back with a header but fifteen minutes after that Josip Drmic trashed Frankfurt's hopes of a comeback as he scored from a counter attack.

                    Round of 32
                    Hertha BSC 2 - 0 Mainz 05
                    Skjelbred 21', Platte 44'

                    Simulated.

                    Borussia Mönchengladbach 2 - 3 Hertha BSC
                    Dahoud 12', 54'
                    Son 40', 66', Kalou 58'

Before we get into this game, let's talk about formations. Hertha changed their 4-2-3-1 into a 4-4-2 (or a 4-2-2-2) for this game with Arnold and Lustenberger in the middle, Calhanoglu and Stocker on the wings and Son and Kalou in attack. There were some flaws in the 4-2-3-1 this season and the manager Simon Müller believes that the 4-4-2 can fix them.

The formation didn't seem to work in the beginning as Dahoud scored only twelve minutes into the game when Zieler parried Hrgota's shot. Half an hour later Heung-Min Son equalised with a curling shot after cutting in from the right flank. Ten minutes into the second half Dahoud got a brace when he got away from Hertha's defenders and slotted the ball past Zieler. The lead lasted only a few minutes as Salomon Kalou equalised by shooting the ball into the top right corner from a pass. Ten minutes after that Heung-Min Son finished his second goal of the day. The ball was played to him inside the box and he took two touches before putting a powerful shot into the top right corner to get the winning goal.

                    Player of the Month

                    Salomon Kalou

The Ivorian was the best player of the team this month as he scored four goals and assisted one more. Kalou isn't anywhere close to his form of last season but he's still a solid and reliable striker.

                    Hot or Not

                    Hot

                    Salomon Kalou

The player of the month had a good month with four goals and one assist.

                    Not

                    Valentin Stocker

The man who had the most assists last season has gotten only three this season. On top of that Stocker has been substituted in about four games during the half time break.

I'm very excited for this! When I saw the logo my reaction was "What is this???" but when I read the first few lines I got interested in this career. It will be very interesting to see how you manage with that poor budget and those poor players and it will be a real challenge for you. The squad is pretty poor, as well. You are in the top five of the BPL with a similarly rated squad, though. Like I said I'm looking forward to this a lot!

                        Oh no! My Devon rivals!!!

Plymouth do have some very talented young players in their squad which will make things a little more interesting. (I'm not sure about FIFA 14 but) Reuben Reid (I think that's how you spell it) is a beast of a striker for Plymouth so watch out for him! I'm looking forward to seeing how your CM turns out compared to mine!

Thanks for the support Simppu! Haha! I can understand your thoughts relating to the logo! They're soooooo overlooked as a club and i'm going to make a point towards bigger brother, AC Ajaccio and prove their worth as a team.

My Exeter City CM is on World Class so this is a big step up from there now that i'm doing Legendary. I just can't wait for the Coupe de France when I'm drawn up against PSG in the first round... *Sarcastic tone*

To be honest, I'm trying to make it as difficult as I can for myself with one of the oldest teams in the French leagues and the worst rated too!

                          Barclays Premier League Match:

                          Exeter City 1 – Chelsea 2

                          EXE – Konate (31’)
Exeter’s passing has been world class and after a few one-twos and a couple of zippy passes, Saiz Alonso sprints down the right wing. It’s two-on-two as Alonso flicks the ball over to the back post where the unmarked Inters Konate shuffles backwards a little before smashing it on the volley, beating the scrambling Thibaut Courtois and then into the roof of the net.

                          CHE – E.Hazard (PEN) (52’)
Thorgan Hazard squares the ball to Eden Hazard who allows it to roll through his legs and onto the boot of Gonzalo Higuaín who’s muscled off the ball by Joseph Gomez. The ref gives a penalty which is a very ‘fifty-fifty’ type of decision. Eden Hazard stutters his run before sending Jonathan Bond the wrong way.

                          CHE – T.Hazard (58’)
Willian floats the ball into the middle from the right wing where Thorgan Hazard can get in front of the rattled Joseph Gomez and head it past Bond and into the corner.

Our Best Performer: Jonathan Bond (14 Saves)

Making their Debut: Jonathan Bond, Daniel Marchesín

                          Barclays Premier League Match:

                          Tottenham 2 – Exeter City 1

                          TOT – Holtby (6’)
Emmanuel Adebayor slots the ball into the free, Lewis Holtby who sprints into the box before sliding the ball into the bottom left corner for an early goal.

                          TOT – Adebayor (43’)
Kyle Walker lifts the ball into the middle for Adebayor to rise above his markers and head it into the far corner.

                          EXE – Feudjou (45’)
Reece Brown prods the ball behind the defence for Feudjou to take it in his stride. He shrugs off the defender before smashing the ball past Hugo Lloris.

                          Barclays Premier League Match:

                          Exeter City 1 – Newcastle Utd 1

                          EXE – Bauer (76’)
The game’s been a hard fought match up until now with Exeter playing the possession game to keep Newcastle out. Jason Banton crosses into the box where Allassani tries to take a touch in the box but it rolls too far away. Daryl Janmaat pokes it away to the edge of the box where Robert Bauer takes a touch which goes back into the box for him to hit it with his weaker foot, through the legs of many Newcastle defenders and it nicely nestles into the bottom corner.

                          NEW – De Jong (88’)
Siem De Jong turns Liam Sercombe and passes to Gael Bigirmana who then slots the ball through the open defence back to De Jong who smashes it past Bond and into the right corner of the net.

                          Barclays Premier League’s Top Goalscorers

                          1. Exeter City – Kwabena Appiah (15 Goals)

                          2. Spurs – Emmanuel Adebayor (14 Goals)

                          3. Arsenal – Santi Cazorla (12 Goals)

                          Youth Academy:

Aaron Davis (United States) 15 years old 65-69 OVR 87-93 POT
                          - This 5’10 right-footer looks to be an amazing striker. His best attributes are his heading accuracy, shot power, finishing and ball control. This physically strong youth player should be the real deal once he joins the ranks of the senior team.

Danny Winnard (United States) 16 years old 50-54 OVR 81-87 POT
                          - Danny Winnard is a midfielder playmaker who’s left-footed and stands at 6’0. He’s looking at being a very well-rounded player with a range of passing stats, good vision and formidable long shots.

                          Manager’s Thoughts:

A slightly disappointing month points-wise but when you look at the calibre of the teams we were up against; one point suddenly doesn’t look too bad.
Appiah retains his spot as the top goal scorer for another month despite not scoring in any of the last four games. Adebayor is really starting to push for the golden boot despite the consistent comments about him retiring next season. Appiah really needs to step up from now on to unsure that he makes a statement in the Premier League.

March is a mixed month on paper. The start and the end of the month are surely going to be challenges but we should come out of it with some points under our belts.

                          March’s Games:
                          Arsenal (H)
                          West Brom (A)
                          Watford (A)
                          Manchester Utd (A)

                          * Denotes a cup game

Big Benteke netted a hat trick today which helped us secure an opening day victory. He scored his first with 11 minutes gone playing a one-two with Sigurdsson and holding off Gibbs as he ran through to curl it with the outside of his boot around Ospina. His second came 4 minutes later when he dispossessed Mertesacker as he came out with the ball. He then buried it into the corner from the edge of the box. New signing Morata won the home side a penalty which Sánchez missed striking the post. A poot throw out from Scuffet fell to Ramsey and he slid Cazorla in. He turned inside Caulker too easily and curled around Scuffet punishing the mistake. Centurion beat Gibbs on the right and swung in a great cross that Sigurdsson climbed above Mertesacker to head over Ospina. After the break Kramer spotted Benteke's horizontal run away from Koscielny and played it into him. He took one touch before completing his hat trick. Morata missed two good chances before Walcott forced a save from Scuffet. Flamini then played a one-two with Giroud, who was holding off Caulker, and then finished it well in fairness past Scuffet.

                            Anderson 77' (Delph)

                            MotM: Felipe Anderson

We bossed the ball and the game. Centurion got the first goal dribbling past 3 men on his way into the box from the right wing before he finished low around Cillessen. Anderson picked out Benteke perfectly for a headed second. Tosun volleyed past Scuffet from the edge of the box. In the second half we started strongly and Sigurdsson hit the post five minutes in. Anderson scored the third sliding in Delph's ball across the six yard box. Ki Sung-Yeung came back to the Liberty today and met up with the lads after the game.

                            Williams 82'

                            MotM: Simone Scuffet

Speroni took a bad touch near the edge of his area allowing Ings to touch it past him. He tried to win it back but missed the ball and ended up taking Ings out and giving away a penalty. Sigurdsson sent him the wrong way to get his second of the campaign. Williams leveled off a corner volleying it on the turn into the net from the edge of the six yard box after peeling away from Sigurdsson. Kramer then rattled the crossbar with a header in the last minute.

                            MotM: Derek O'Connor

The reserve team was put out and they did extremely well demolishing Wolves. All 5 scorers were Youth players which makes it even more special. Little Derek O'Connor was immense either in the hole or from deep. Brennan bagged a cool brace with each foot. McManus and Murphy were monsters in the air. l'Anson and Randall controlled the middle while Dyer bombed up and down. Doyle also made good saves although maybe could have done better with the free kick. McManus also got caught out of position leading to the first goal.

So this is my First Team tactic. It's main tactic is possession and each player ahs an instruction that allows the tactic to flow. We'll start up front. Sturridge has the defaults for defensive pressing and support runs, however his instruction is to get in behind with his attacking runs. As for Balotelli, he also has the defaults for the first two but he is a Target Man. The ball is played to him and he plays it through to Sturridge who has usually made a good run in behind the defence. Either that or Balo smashes it in. Insigne is our man behind the strikers and his instructions are to stay on the edge of the box for crosses. He is not tall enough to win headers but he has a decent shot to finish from the edge of the area. He is also give a Free Roam, meaning he drifts into whatever space available. This also makes space for Coutinho who is set to cut inside and come short, making use of his great shooting from distance. Sterling, on the other wing is the complete opposite, being told to stay wide and get in behind. Henderson's job in the hole is to cut passing lanes which is especially crucial due to Sakho's join the attack instruction to overload the midfield. The other 3 defenders have default instructions.

SouthernMetalHead: League 2 careers are always awesome so I'm really looking forward to this! This forum went through a phase in the past where a lot of us were running or trying League 2 careers. Good times, good times. Plymouth Argyle is a great choice, do they still have Tyler Harvey? He was a very important player for the entirety of my Wimbledon career, so I hope it's the same for you if he is on the squad still.

Cabee: To be honest, I didn't even know there was another Ajaccio club in France which is one of the reasons why I like this career! Loved the intro since I don't know much about the French league. The rules you have set are great as well, and pairing them with other features like legendary and strict board will only make this career better, and possibly more stressful. It sounds like this career will really test you mentally, so be prepared. Remember, if you ever feel like breaking your disc, that's what the game wants you to do. Don't give in! Lol
