Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

@_Chico – A great result to beat Napoli! I hope you can make it through your group. It was too bad to see two 0-0 draws but it seems that you have gotten past them and are doing well once again. You’re so close to the top! Keep up the good results and good luck getting your targets when the transfer window opens.

@Simppu – A great month with Hertha! Beating Real Madrid and going through to the final is no easy task no matter how good your team is. I believe that you will beable to beat Bayern in the final and take home the trophy, best of luck!

@Cruzerr – Certainly a tough month with a few tough defeats. Ninth is still a good place for Burnley to be in the table. I think Milner would be the beat signings of the ones that you listed. Also Cleverly If you could get him, young and can play anywhere in the middle of the park.

@Jagger – Glad to see Thomas win Birmingham Player of the Year, he has been great all season and certainly deserves it. I think you will need to strengthen the squad before next season, but at the same time you saw some nice growth in a couple of players. I hope you do great next year in the prem.

@Regens – Good to see you top of the Bundesliga and Hazard has been a great help since coming in. With us both managing Portugal I’ll be interested to see what we do differently and how our success’ compare.

@Keano – I’m happy to see you do a career with Wycombe. It will be interesting to see what you do and hopefully get them promoted, maybe even win the league.

@Southern – What a result against Zenit! That’s a good win for you and then to go undefeated for the rest of the month is fantastic. Also always awesome to see plays called up to play for their nation for the first time. You could even win the title if you keep getting good results and Zenit slips up. Just keep going and good luck.

I know that's probably not everyone but I'll try and make sure I get everyone at some point and know that I am reading every thing that is posted!

Yep, Hazard has been POTY so far, although I do believe Aubameyang is tied with him on goals, I'm planning to sell Aubameyang in the window, because I believe a huge offer will come in. There's a little heads up to Cruzerr and Jamie if they want to sign him. As for the Portugal job, it was really taken to build up my rep, you could say. I am looking for a better job, but I don't believe I could get it now. Maybe around February or March I could resign and get a better job, but I would like to play a couple of games with Portugal first, tbh. Thanks for the reply.

            FC Kaiserslautern 1 - 2 Hertha BSC
            Ponde 10' pen
            Ramos 32', Kalou 81'

The last league game of the season was played just for the sake of it. We had already secured the title and we weren't going for a record amount of points. Kaiserslautern on the other didn't have a chance of getting away from the playoff spot. Surprisingly they took the lead early into the game from the penalty spot but twenty minutes later Adrian Ramos equalised with a beautiful curling halfvolley from a cross. Late into the game Salomon Kalou ran into the box and shot the ball past Kaiserlautern's keeper into the net.

            Final
            Hertha BSC - Bayern München

The one competition where Hertha have been excellent during the Müller era is the Deutscher Fussball-Bund Pokal, or the German cup. They have reached the semi finals in every season under his command and they've been in the final three times. This time Hertha were going to face the biggest German team, Bayern München. The Berliners were the slight favourites because they had beaten Bayern already twice this season but the game could go either way. The sold out Olympiastadion was ready for the final.

The referee, Felix Brych, who has also refereed Champions League games in his career, blew his whistle to start the game. It was Bayern's kickoff and the Bavarians controlled the first thirty minutes of the game. Diego Benaglio had to make a few saves as the ball was played around Hertha's defensive third. At the thirty-minute mark Hertha finally got some touches on the ball and nine minutes later Karim Bellarabi ran down the right wing. The winger passed the ball to Adrian Ramos in the middle who took the ball away from Jerome Boateng and finished it in the top right corner! Hertha were in the lead and the fans were going wild! Four minutes later Bellarabi ran again into the box and he curled the ball away from the goal. In stoppage time the ball was played to Hakan Calhanoglu who ran through the whole attacking third before shooting the ball past Neuer into the net!

The second half started and nothing spectacular happened until the 63rd minute when Arjen Robben got tackled inside the box. The following penalty was scored by Gonzalo Higuain and it looked like Bayern would get back into the game but Karim Bellarabi finally got onto the scoresheet in the 83rd minute when he scored Hertha's third goal and secured the DFB Pokal title! The domestic double had landed in Berlin for the second time in a row!

            Final
            Hertha BSC - Bayern München

The two teams faced each other exactly a week ago and the game ended in Hertha's convinsing 3-1 victory. Now they were going to play against each other once again and both teams were looking to lift the Champions League trophy. You don't hear this often but Bayern were the underdogs who were looking to avenge their loss in the DFB Pokal final.

The game started and this time it was Hertha's turn to kick the game off. Like usually they just passed the ball around the middle and the wings, waiting for an opportunity to score. In the 25th minute Gonzalo Higuian got played on goal and he curled the ball around Benaglio into the net to score... but it was offside! It then took about five minutes for Hertha to get their chance as Heung-Min Son cut inside from the left wing. The Korean then took a finess shot which found its way past Neuer! Hertha were once again in the lead! Eight minutes later Son passed the ball to Arnold on the left wing and the central midfielder crossed the ball into the box with his first touch. The ball flew over the jumping Jerome Boateng and Karim Bellarabi just headed the ball into the goal to double the lead. Five minutes later the ball was passed to Arjen Robben inside the box. The attacker simply shot the ball into the top left corner with his amazing left foot. Half an hour later Adrian Ramos got into the box, turned around Bayern's defender, took the ball around Manuel Neuer and simply tapped the ball into the goal! Deja vu. The ref blew his whistle and Hertha went to lift the Champions League trophy! They had won their first Champions League title and the first treble in the club's history!

What a season! We beat Real Madrid in the Champions League semi finals in a very exciting game and then we beat Bayern twice in two finals. Winning the treble is amazing and I'm very glad that my last season at Hertha ended in such success. The best player of the career has to be Salomon Kalou: he was there from the beginning and he always scored at least twenty goals a season. If I get bored or finish the next career before FIFA 16 I'll probably come back to Hertha for one more season.

The poll is looking very even at the moment and I'll let everyone vote at least until Tuesday. Then I'll reveal the new career. Right now Valencia are leading with five votes and after them we have Bilbao and Sevilla with four votes. Then there's Lyon who have three votes. It's looking like I'll be going to Spain. If you haven't voted yet, here's the poll. I appreciate it a lot!

              League Cup Final

              Arsenal 1-2 Brentford
              Flamini 45
              Ibe 63
              Gray 76

Lee was forced into an early diving save to paw away Wilshere's blistering effort before Gray missed an absolute sitter after the ball bobbled through to him one on one. After a back and forth half, Flamini gave Arsenal the lead slotting in under Lee after he failed to clear the ball well. Ibe equalised when he cut in from the left and fired into the top corner from the edge of the box. Gray got the winner in terrific circumstances. Jota tackled Gibbs on the wing and they played 2 one-twos to beat Mertesacker before Gray smashed into the top corner. In all, we deserved the win.

              Match 33

              Ipswich 0-1 Brentford
              Pritchard 40
Pritchard got the only goal of a dull game just before half time, firing into the top corner from the edge of the box in one of the few chances. Gray forced a good save late on after he raced clear.

              Match 34

              Bolton 3-1 Brentford
              Pratley 29
              Twardzik 34
              Hogan 59
              Bannan 80

Bolton thoroughly deserved this, absolutely dominating us from start to finish. Pratley opened the scoring with a stunner from 25 yards that flew into the top corner. Twardzik made it 2 with a scrappy finish before Hogan pulled one back with a volley into the bottom corner. Bannan made sure of Bolton's win late on, curling into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

              Match 35

              Brentford 2-1 Middlesbrough
              Nsue 12

              Simmed.

              Match 37

              Leeds 3-1 Brentford
              Antenucci 45
              Pritchard 50
              Antenucci 71
              Arter 82

We didn't deserve to lose this game. Gray and Tarkowski both missed wonderful chances in the first half before Antenucci tucked in Leeds' first chance of the game. Pritchard calmly equalised from 12 yards, slotting into the bottom corner but Antenucci scored again, smashing into the top corner. Arter made it 3 when he rounded the keeper and Silvestri was forced into 2 wonderful saves as we tried to pull it back.

Wow, congratulations on the Capital One Cup, dude! That's just amazing for a Championship team, especially against a team like Arsenal! Your results in the league weren't really that great but Bolton and Leeds are good teams. You're also still in a great position. I'm glad you didn't kill yourself after yesterday's game :P

It feels bad to see you losing so many games lately but compared to real life you're doing an amazing job. I think you won't go too far below the top ten this season. Your transfer targets look nice and I'm looking forward to the transfer window.

What an incredible month! Four wins with one of them being against Zenit is very good! Your doing well in the league and with a few good results you could still snatch the title. By the way, is there some kind of playoff system in the Russian league? I feel like it was mentioned in a magazine last year.

No I checked. I'm gonna try turning it down to slow and see how that goes. It could be to do with playing 4 minute halves but it's never been any different before.

Notes: Wow. What a game. At the end, we just ran up the score because they were essentially on all out attack. The real score line should have been 4-2. Still, three points.

                          Hertha BSC 2 - 4 BVB
                          Poulsen(BVB) 39'
                          Stocker(BSC) 52'
                          Immobile(BVB) (PEN) 57'
                          Skjelbred(BSC) 62'
                          Ramos(BVB) 77'
                          Poulsen(BVB) 82'

Notes: Well played, Simp. It was back and forth until, again, the end. For whatever reason, Hertha went on the offensive, which I guess makes sense because they were at home, but a draw would have been a good result for them, I have to say. We really dominated, Hertha were sloppy with the ball, and you could say they missed Simp. Three points.

                          BVB 3 - 4 Wolfsburg
                          Bendtner(VfB) 44'
                          Schurrle(VfB) 45'
                          Aubameyang(BVB) 57'
                          Perisic(VfB) 69'
                          Hazard(BVB) (PEN) 75'
                          Vieirinha(VfB) 82'
                          Lamela(BVB) 88'

Notes: Disappointing. Really, going into the game, I wanted a draw at least. I swear we get a penalty every game, I don't understand it. The refs just like us. But out of all the people on Wolfsburg's team, Bendtner would be the one the score on me. I don't want to hear about being a Brighton legend(lol Indi), it was pretty bad. Leno disappointed. 0 points.

                          Werder Bremen 1 - 3 BVB
                          Hazard(BVB) 6'
                          Junuzovic(WB) 45'
                          Aubameyang(BVB) 67'
                          Aubameyang(BVB) 77'

Notes: Not bad at all. A quick, good, goal from Hazard and then two from Aubameyang will basically always have us beating Werder Bremen, not likely we give up 3 goals, let alone 4. Three points.

                          BVB 2 - 0 Ingolstadt (SIMMED)
                          Hazard(BVB) 14'
                          Reus(BVB) 46'

Notes: Simmed game in the cup, good win. Puts us into the quarter final, not too bad.

                          1. Borussia Dortmund 40
                          2. Eint. Frankfurt 39
                          3. VfL Wolfsburg 37
                          4. FC Bayern 35
                          5. Hamburger SV 34
                          6. Bayer Leverkusen 31
                          7. FC Schalke 29
                          8. Borussia M'gladbach 28

Month notes: What a month. Before our last Bundesliga game of the month, Frankfurt was leading the league by 2 points, luckily, they lost and I won so we took the lead, giving me the chance for priority. 40 points isn't too bad, I think it should hopefully win me it. Maybe not, though. Even if Frankfurt would have drawn I would have been leading, because of goal differential. Anyways, now I wait, and see if I lock up the priority.

                          Thanks for reading!

Slow didn't work. It was really sluggish and I ended up rage quitting :/

I think I'll end the vote now and go with Leipzig, they're up 4-3, so I'll start with them. Obviously only signing German players, but should I only sign players that can play for Germany in the game, or also sign players who would be eligible in real life for Germany, but isn't on Germany in the game? Right now I'm leaning towards option A, and sticking with who plays for Germany in the game.

The Impossible almost happened. I won the FA Cup final against Portsmouth(they had a Financial Takeover) in a Penalty Shootout, Beat Celtic in the Euro league Semi's then I have to face the first club I played for as a player: Northampton Town(They won the League cup last year to get in) Going into this game i'm thinking ok we're facing a Championship Side, should be easy right? Nope Northampton Town gave Crystal Palace a run for there money and once again We go into a Penalty Shootout. My Player is up 1st and scores with ease. Torey steps up for Northampton and scores. Jedinak steps up for Palace and hits the Crossbar, Northampton scores 2 more times while we only score 1. Darwin Quintero is Palace's last hope. If he misses then Northampton wins and completes the upset. Quintero steps up to take the Penalty and he scores it. Northampton's captain steps up next and if he scores they win and complete the upset. He takes the shot and Scuffet saves it. After that a glitch occurs and my Player is up again to take the shot I shoot the ball and low and behold I hit the Post and it bounces out. Northampton's Torey steps up and he doesn't miss and Northampton Town win the Euro league 5-4 on Penalties
