Spoiler
Newport County A.F.C.
August/September Update
League Match 1
Newport County - Northampton (3-0)
Byrne 12'
Arteaga 29' (pen)
Boden 81' (Gardner)
You couldn't ask for a better start to the season, especially at home. A big error by the Northampton back four lead to Byrne's opening score and then one third of the way through the game Arteaga converted from the penalty strike. Newport was able to play possession from there on out then put the final nail on the coffin on a counterattack.
Capital One Cup - Round 1
Bury - Newport County (0-0, 4-2 PK's)
The visitors played their League 1 opponent very evenly, defending very well throughout the game, but they were unable to convert the few shots they had and then repeated their PK effort from pre-season to bow out of the cup in disappointment.
League Match 2
Notts County - Newport County (1-2)
John-Lewis 30' (Byrne)
Campbell 47'
John Lewis 82' (Byrne)
Marccelino's squad proves their opening day win was no fluke by keeping the home team relatively quiet on the score sheet. Campbell was a pest all game long but also erratic and although Notts had twice as many shots as Newport only half of them were on target while Newport Roy Carroll work with every one of their shots while also winning possession with 56%.
League Match 3
Newport County - Yeovil Town (0-1)
Laird 54'
Newport suffers their first loss of the season in a tightly-contested battle against a stingy Yeovil squad that made shooting at their goal difficult. Newport was only able to get 2 shots off, neither one of them on target, while Yeovil was on target with 3 of their 4 shots and more importantly scored the only goal of the game to escape with the 3 points.
League Match 4
Dagenham - Newport County (1-0)
Boucaud 23'
What's worse than a 0-1 loss? Two of them in a row. Newport's offense was once again errant, this time getting 6 shots off but only being on target once. Dagenham was 3/5 on their shots and were able to convert early in the game then hang on to their lead to continue a good start for them early in this season.
J. Paint Trophy
Newport County - Peterborough (1-2)
Washington 10'
Gardner 51' (Byrne)
Washington 58'
Newport was not in good form coming into this game and Peterborough all but sealed the deal when they scored the go-ahead goal just 7 minutes after Newport had scored for the first time in two and a half games. Newport held possession 52% of the time but only had half as many shots (and shots on goal) as Peterborough and they leave a tournament early for the second time this season. "It's disappointing to suffer two really tough defeats in tournaments so far," Marccelino said. "These tournaments are actually a big priority for us so we can improve our budget so we will definitely look to do better in the F.A. Cup."
League Match 5
Newport County - Exeter City (1-0)
Arteaga 74' (pen)
Newport bounced back from three rough games to get back on the winning column with a very solid performance against Exeter, even if their only goal came from the penalty strike. It could had been at least 2-0 but Christy Pym saved a penalty shot from Gardner earlier in the game.
League Match 6
Cambridge United - Newport County (3-0)
Corr 10'
Core 43'
Berry 45'
Newport's first game with their B squad did not end up well as the home team got on the board early and held a comfortable lead at halftime that Marccelino's B squad was not able to cut into. It'll be interesting to see how Marcelino handles his starting lineup the next time the team is scheduled to play 2 games in 3 days.
League Match 7
Newport County - York City (0-1)
Summer field 54'
Disappointment was the end result yet again in another game where Newport was unable to get much going offensively. Not much else to say here.
League Match 8
Wycombe - Newport County (2-3)
Byrne 44' (Arteaga)
Gardner 45+' (pen)
McGinn 57'
Hayes 69'
Arteaga 72' (O'Sullivan)
Could this be a turning point for Marccelino's squad? After jumping out to a 2-0 lead at the end of the first half Wycombe was able to even up the score with 20 minutes left and bad thoughts surely were taking over on Newport's side. But the Exiles got back on the horse right away and O'Sullivan found a streaking Arteaga for what would be the game-winner and 3 very needed points.
League Match 9
Newport County - Barnet (1-0)
Arteaga 20' (Gardner)
Byrne - sprained knee, out 3 weeks
Newport closed out the month with another key victory in a game that was closer than they had planned. Gardner's free kick from the right upper corner of the box found Arteaga between two defenders but the Venezuelan rose higher than the defenders and accurately headed the ball home for what would turn out to be the only score of the game. However, a small loss was suffered when Byrne suffered a knee injury in the 12th minute although he managed to finish the first half.

Review: Not bad. You would love to turn some of the L's into at least draws but it's been a fair shake for the most part. Gardner has been everything you could wish for taking total command of the midfield while the focus is shining mostly on our forwards. John-Lewis has been a ghost outside of his 2-goal game and Arteaga has also struggled to start the season although 2 goals in his last 2 games is a very good sign. We're playing solid defense for the most part but we need the offense to score some more for us. O'Sullivan will sub in for Byrne due to injury but we need to find a new backup CM since O'Sullivan is on short loan. Oliver Burke was also obtained from Nottingham Forest on a 2-year loan.
Adam Adeyemi, our youth scout in England, sent us his first monthly report and as a result two additions have been signed to the youth squad:
- Bondz Moore (LW, 53 OVR, 78-94 POT): This 16-year old was so well spoken of in Adeyemi's report that his small size (5'0", 134lbs) was no issue. He is speedy and has been performing well in drills so far.
- Jack Giles (RW, 57, 65-85): This 17-year old is working hard to earn an opportunity to be called up to the senior squad before the end of the season.

League Match 10
AFC Wimbledon - Newport County (2-1)
Arteaga 9' (O'Sullivan)
Akinfenwa 17'
Francomb 62'
Marccelino's squad was unable to get a winning streak going after seeing their one-goal lead flipped on them by a resilient Wimbledon squad. Both teams took 4 shots putting 2 of them on target but the home team made their shots count.
League Match 11
Newport County - Leyton Orient (1-1)
Simpson 75'
Klukowski 84' (Elito)
You have to applaud the Exiles' performance in this game as they hosted the top team in the league which boasted the top two scorers in League 2 - NC pretty much keep the visitors in check but Simpson eventually added to his league best count to put his team ahead. Marccelino's squad rightfully earned the draw soon after thanks a nice feed from Elito to Klukowski, who had just come in to replace an exhausted Gardner.
League Match 12
Carlisle United - Newport County (0-0
Heavy rain noticeably affected this game as neither team was able to be much of a threat offensively. Possession was pretty even and the visitors took 6 shots (2 on target) while the home team only took 2 (1 on target).
League Match 13
Newport County - Plymouth Argyle (1-1)
Carey 27'
Hughes 90+' (Burke)
About as thrilling as a draw will ever get. Andrew Hughes, reportedly unhappy with his lack of playing time, got the opportunity to come in during the last third of the game to replace an exhausted Donacien. As destiny would have it, it was Hughes who found the ball on a cross from Burke on what turned out to be the last play of the game to steal a point at home and unleash a massive celebration by the players, while the Marccelino and his staff could do nothing but smile.
League Match 14
Portsmouth - Newport County (1-2)
Byrne 8' (Gardner)
Elito 77' (John-Lewis)
Lavery 84'
The home side was the better team on the pitch but they were unable to reflect that on the scoreboard as the Exiles made them pay with both of their shots on target. Newport's defense continues a streak of top performances.
League Match 15
Newport County - Morecambe (1-2)
Gardner 7' (pen)
Kenyon 24'
Molyneux 45'
Heart-breaker. Gardner's PK early on was rightfully earned but Morecambe was relentless thereafter and after taking the lead before the half they were able to hold off Newport in the second half.
League Match 16
Bristol Rovers - Newport County (0-1)
John-Lewis 72' (Byrne)
A game that shall be remembered as the John-Lewis game. The 26-year old Englishman was relentless from beginning to end, accounting for two thirds of Newport's 8 shots. He finally got his reward in the 72nd minute while the locals were never able to get much going offensively.
League Match 17
Newport County - Hartlepool (2-0)
Byrne 34'
John-Lewis 69' (Twumasi)
Another fine performance by the Exiles' defense was not wasted by Newport's attack as Marccelino's squad continue to be in great form other than the recent loss vs Morecambe. The visitors were only able to get one shot off in this one, which wasn't even on target.
League Match 18
Mansfield Town - Newport County (0-2)
Boden 19' (Rodman)
Barnum-Bobb (Arteaga)
After a disappointing performance their first time out, the B-squad played an excellent game in this one while - most importantly - keeping the excellent defensive performance the Exiles have had as of late, officially putting Marccelino's squad on a winning streak.
League Match 19
Newport County - Accrington (2-0)
Elito 39' (Arteaga)
John-Lewis 45' (Elito)
Four-game winning streak and third straight game won by a score of 2-0. The Exiles are suddenly looking like contenders for promotion after finely handling the worst team in the league, winning possession 56 to 44 and out-shooting the visitors 10 to 2 (7 to 1 on target).
League Match 20
Crawley Town - Newport County (0-4)
Klukowski 20' (Boden)
Boden 47' (Rodman)
Arteaga 70'
O'Sullivan 74' (Boden)
The Exiles continue to be on fire and Crawley seemed soaked in gasoline, with no option but to burn. It was the B-squad again doing the damage and Scott Boden's play has to make you wonder whether he's making John-Lewis expendable. After all, the Exiles will need funds however they can get them in the upcoming transfer window.
F.A. Cup - Round 2
Crewe Alexandra - Newport County (1-3)
Byrne 8' (Twumasi)
Arteage 36' (Byrne)
Haber 55'
Arteaga 90' (Burke)
Not even cup competition can slow down the Exiles right now. Losers on their first try in both the Capital One Cup and the J. Pain Trophy, Newport carried their hot streak into this match-up and performed like they were the League 1 team. With Crewe Alexandra currently sitting at the bottom of the League 1 standings, they may see their spot in the league be taken by Marccelino's squad with the way Newport played in this one.
League Match 21
Newport County - Luton Town (2-0)
Gardner 17' (Byrne)
John-Lewis 82'
2-0 was the magic score for Maccelino's boys again in a game where neither team won possession but Newport was once again able to outshoot its opponent and convert a couple of chances. Six-game winning streak, for those who are keeping count.
League Match 22
Oxford United - Newport County (1-0)
Maguire 6'
John-Lewis - hyper extended knee, out 3 weeks
Chris Maguire gave the visitors a cold shower six minutes in, Sam Slocombe played out of his mind to keep a clean sheet, and Oxford United ended Newport County's winning streak in a battle of top-7 teams. John-Lewis' injury may prove costly, but it will also allow Boden another window to prove he can continue his excellent form.
League Match 23
Newport County - Stevenage (2-2)
Arteaga 7'
Gnanduillet 35'
Barnum-Bobb 60' (Klukowski)
Gnanduillet 70'
Ralph
The Exiles surely will file like they lost out on 2 points in this game but everyone at Rodney Parade got their money's worth in this back and forth match. It was the B-squad in action once again and they brought the noise, out-shooting Stevenage 13 to 5 (11 to 12 on shots on goal) led by a relentless effort from Arteaga who was on target with all 6 of his shots.
League Match 24
Newport County - Bristol Rovers (1-1)
Arteaga 45' (Elito)
Kilgour 87'
Marccelino's squad wrapped up 2015 with back-to-back draws after failing to take advantage of their superiority on the field. The Exiles took 12 shots (7 on target) to Bristol's 3 but each team only found the bottom of the net just once.
Standings - Football League 2
1. Leyton Orient - 48pts
2. Notts County - 48pts
3. Portsmouth - 43pts
4. Newport County - 41pts
5. Oxford United - 41pts

Review: All that winning and only up 4 spots in the standings. No but seriously, what a great run the team had there especially around November. After the Crewe Alexandra game I bumped up the sliders a bit because it was getting too easy and the last 4 games were definitely a bigger challenge. The offense has gotten rolling and it's been a good collective effort from both Arteaga and John-Lewis with Boden also providing good efforts off the bench and with the B-squad. Byrne/Gardner show good chemistry in the middle of the field and Burke/Elito are getting the job done on the outside. It's transfer window time this coming month and the loans on O'Sullivan and Barnum-Bobb are ending so it'll be very interesting to see whether there's a way to bring them back or what kind of acquisitions will be made. Both of them have been contributors off the bench and studs in the B-squad. Joe Day gets the glamour as the goalie with the 2nd most clean sheets in the league but it has been an outstanding effort from more than just him and the back four to achieve all those clean sheets - Gardner has been equally effective on both offense and defense. Also, for some fortunate reason Newport got a bye in a round 1 of the FA Cup, but they're not complaining ...
Adam Adeyemi, our youth scout, wrapped up his 3-month trip around England and was promptly sent to Marccelino's home land in search of more young talent. He has brought quite a bit of youngsters to the youth squad so let's check them out:
- Bondz Moore (LW, 56 OVR, 80-90 POT): Small frame (5'0", 134lbs) is a non-issue with this Englishman due to his talent. He is speedy/agile/balanced and has been performing well in drills so far.
- Ben Potter (LM, 52 OVR, 74-90): This 16-year old from England looks similar to Moore but prefers to play a bit closer to midfield.
- Danilo Sabbione (CM, 46 OVR, 71-91: This 16-year old from Italy is our first addition to the squad from outside England. He's raw but has a bright future.
- Jack Giles (RW, 61, 74-82): This 17-year old from England is working hard to earn an opportunity to be called up to the senior squad before the end of the season and might accomplish that in the very near future.
- Taylor Nelson (LW, 54, 70-86: The 17-year old from England is flashing a little bit of everything right now (offensively) and has hit the ground running hard to improve his game.
January Schedule
- 1/3/16: Yeovil Town (F.A. Cup)
- 1/9/16: Morecambe
- 1/16/16: Portsmouth
1/23/16: Plymouth Argyle

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
Hey guys, very short update from me.
I haven't been playing Fifa since christmas, and my last saved file dates back to the 20th of December. Reason for this is that I've been very busy IRL with my internship, and the holidays, and the fact that I was way ahead of my updates with my Nice career.
I finished my Nice career a little while ago, and I ended up with loads of superstars. It was fun while it lasted, since I signed 91 rated Pogba on a free transfer and I bought a 94 rated Ronaldo for next to nothing (running out of his contract). But I feel like there's nothing more that I can do with that team.
Now I've been playing on a Palermo save for a rainy afternoon last week, but I couldn't get into it. Then I remember, the only career mode that was really challenging was my Arsenal career mode (I even made a ragepost on here). So, I'm heading back to the BPL!
I'm going to start up a career mode with Liverpool right now as we speak, and I'll probably skip the first transfer window as well. I'm planning on playing every game, no simulations allowed. I finished my internship yesterday, and I'm going back to school on monday which gives me a bit more playing time. I'm very excited for this career, since I've been wanting to play with Liverpool for quite some FIFA's now. I love the atmosphere of Anfield Road, and EA did a great job implementing that into the latest edition.
I'm terribly sorry for leaving you guys, but hopefully this career mode will get me back on track with you guys.
EDIT; I forgot to add that I want to try and keep my Liverpool career quite realistic as well.Last edited by OkDoei; 01-30-2016, 09:46 AM.Current FIFA 16 Career Mode(s):

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
The Bluebirds
September
September 1, Cardiff City Stadium
FL Championship: Match 6
Cardiff City 0-0 Middlesbrough
MotM: Lee Peltier (CAR)
Boro will be there or there abouts come the end of the season and we tested them all game long. After losing last time out against Ipswich, a solid performance was needed and we kept it tight at the back with Marshall in top form.
September 5, City Ground
FL Championship: Match 7
N'm Forest 1-1 Cardiff City
25' Lansbury
52' Noone
MotM: Craig Noone (CAR)
A top strike from Lansbury gave Forest the lead. You could say we left him in too much space but there was no stopping that. Noone dug us out of a hole with a deflected effort from the left side of the box.
September 12, Cardiff City Stadium
FL Championship: Match 8
Cardiff City 1-1 MK Dons
66' Pilkington
8' Reeves
MotM: Anthony Pilkington (CAR)
Our second meeting of the season also ended in a draw with a cracking strike from Reeves early on cancelled out by Irishman Pilkington on 66 minutes. Late chances were spurned by both sides as we earned an all too familiar result.
September 19, Ewood Park
FL Championship: Match 9
Blackburn Rovers 0-0 Cardiff City
MotM: David Marshall (CAR)
A dominant performance didn't translate into 3 points as we would have liked. Marshall earned man of the match with an excellent penalty save and some crucial stops during the game.
September 22, Cardiff City Stadium
Capital One Cup: Round 3
Cardiff City 0-1 Stoke City
90' Shaqiri
MotM: Jack Butland (STO)
Shaqiri hit us with a sucker punch right at the end to dump us out of the Capital One Cup in the third round. Future England number 1 Jack Butland was incredible and kept us out for the game's entirety. Swiss international Shaqiri finished off a deadly counter attack to send the Potters through to the next round.
September 26, Cardiff City Stadium
FL Championship: Match 10
Cardiff City 3-1 Huddersfield
10' Whittingham, 23' Morrison, 52' Doyle
44' Butterfield
MotM: Peter Whittingham (CAR)
It was a Peter Whittingham masterclass as he finished the game with a goal and two assists to his name. He hit a first time rocket into the top left before delivering a corner start to Morrison's head. A one-two with Doyle capped off a fine performance from us to end the month in 14th place.
October
October 3, Macron Stadium
FL Championship: Match 11
Bolton 1-0 Cardiff City
33' Bruin
60' Morrison s/o
MotM: David Marshall (CAR)
Marshall misjudged the flight of the ball from a corner which left an open goal for Bruin to head into. Things went from bad to worse when Morrison was shown a ridiculous red for a foul that didn't even warrant a yellow. Down a goal and a man we were unable to get back into the game.
October 6, Cardiff City Stadium
FL Championship: Match 12
Cardiff City 2-0 Brentford
11' Whittingham, 52' Amartey
MotM: David Marshall (CAR)
A 2-0 win was a great way to bounce back from last games disappointment. Whittingham opened the scoring before heading the ball down to Amartey for an absolute stunner of a strike. Marshall was immense again in between the sticks.
October 10, Loftus Road
FL Championship: Match 13
QPR 2-2 Cardiff City
38' Polter, 90' Fer
24' Ince, 28' Iheanacho
MotM: Rohan Ince (CAR)
Marshall, Mason and Pilkington were all away on international duty allowing Blanco a debut in goal. A perfect start left us two up after half an hour. Ince with a pinpoint volley from former Manchester United man Fabio's cross. Iheanacho then finished off a deadly counter attack, Amartey providing the assist. A header from Polter and then a late rebound goal from Fer spoiled the result and left a bitter taste as three points slipped through our fingers.
October 17, Cardiff City Stadium
FL Championship: Match 14
Cardiff City 0-2 Burnley
23' 54' Hennings
MotM: Rouwen Hennings (BUR)
Burnley showed why they're league leaders outclassing us in every area of the pitch. A brace for Hennings gave the title hopefuls a comfortable 2-0 victory.
October 24, Craven Cottage
FL Championship: Match 15
Fulham 0-2 Cardiff City
48' Macheda, 70' (Pen) Whittingham
MotM: David Marshall (CAR)
A beautiful volley from Macheda and a cool spot kick from Whittingham gave us a much needed three points. David Marshall has undoubtedly been one of our best players this season and earned another man of the match award.
October 31, Cardiff City Stadium
FL Championship: Match 16
Cardiff City 1-0 Hull City
36' (Pen) Whittingham
MotM: David Marshall (CAR)
An early penalty save by Marshall, his second of season, preserved his clean sheet and provided the springboard for a tight 1-0 win. Whittingham converted his second consecutive spot kick to move us up to 11th in the table and three points off the playoffs.
November
November 7, St. Andrews
FL Championship: Match 17
Birmingham City 0-2 Cardiff City
9' (Pen) Whittingham, 45' Iheanacho
MotM: Rohan Ince (CAR)
A third straight win and successful penalty came in a dominant display against an out of sorts Birmingham side. Iheanacho got his second goal of the season with a well taken effort. Whittingham is now joint top scorer in league with 7.
November 14, Cardiff City Stadium
FL Championship: Match 18
Cardiff City 1-2 Wolves
61' Ecuélé Manga
26' Rowe, 30' Henry
MotM: Rubén Blanco (CAR)
Despite making an error for the first goal, Blanco still had a good game. He wrongly came out to punch the ball and Rowe was on hand to slot the ball home. Henry added a superb free kick minutes later to effectively seal the game. Ecuélé Manga did pull one back just after the hour mark but we were unable to rescue a point.
November 21, Hillsborough Stadium
FL Championship: Match 19
Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Cardiff City
MotM: Keiren Westwood (SHW)
It was a game of wasted chances for both teams as neither were able to score to get an important win. Irish international Westwood was the main reason behind our lack of goals, earning man of the match after a brilliant display.
November 28, Cardiff City Stadium
FL Championship: Match 20
Cardiff City 0-1 Charlton
56' (Pen) Makienok
MotM: Stephen Henderson (CHA)
Not the end to the month we were hoping for. Makienok arrogantly chipped his penalty down the middle in a game that Charlton honestly did not deserve to win. But we didn't take our chances and we were punished for it.
It's going to be tough to get into the playoffs but if we can string some wins together anything can happen. Most likely though we will be spending a second season in the Championship which mightn't actually be a bad thing. Don't get me wrong we will try everything to get promoted but I won't be too bothered a building for another season before we make the jump to the top flight.
A tough month ahead with three of the top seven to play and Charlton aren't too far off either. Rotherham look like our only some what easy game but as we all know, anyone can beat anyone.

Dorados de Sinaloa
January Update
TRANSFERS

Clausura 2016 - Game 1
Dorados - Chiapas (1-1)
SpoilerGame took place before my arrival at the club
Clausura 2016 - Game 2
Monarcas Morelia - Dorados (0-2)
Morelo 14' (Zuñiga)
Morelo 67' (Chara)
Can't ask for much more than a win on my club debut on a very entertaining game. Both teams combined for 20 shots but in the end a couple of nice finishes by Morelo gave us the edge.
Clausura 2016 - Game 3
Dorados - Leon (1-0)
Morelo 60'
I lied. Winning your first rivalry game after winning in your club debut is actually an even better start. This game was more of a grind as were only able to get 3 shots off (all on target), but another clean sheet saved the day for us (and made our fans VERY happy).
Clausura 2016 - Game 4
Queretaro - Dorados (1-2)
Camilo 19'
Morelo 41' (Corona)
Caceres 89' (Chara)
I lied again. Scoring the game-winning goal in the 89th minute on your first game at the club is an even better debut. That's the kind of night Caceres had in his first game at the club after he found an opening against a scrambling Queretaro defense during crunch time.
Clausura 2016 - Game 5
Dorados - Atlas (3-2)
Zuniga 31' (Morelo)
Barragan 53'
Caceres 57' (Morelo)
Caceres 64' (Cardacio)
Nava 76'
Have yourself a game, Anthony! Both of the Australian's goals came in similar plays, letting passes into the box roll in while he shielded off his defender and then one-timing the shot. More impressively, he scored once with right and once with his left. Only a performance like that could overshadow the efforts of Morelo, who saw his scoring streak end but made sure to contribute in other ways with 2 assist.

Review: Great success. No other way to describe my first month at the club after the club earned twice as many points as they earned in all of Apertura 2015.
Spoiler
Bonus - here's how the playoffs went:
Spoiler
So I'm very excited about this. However, I also tweaked the sliders a bit to make it a little tougher. Dating back to the roster update you'll remember one of my main concerns was having a roster that was too dependent on loaned players so I got rid of Vidrio and Abrego to give our own players a chance to prove themselves as backups then I made the tough choice to also part ways with Arce after the Caceres acquisition to give the Australian plenty of playing time as a starter at CAM. I don't want to make many assumptions following such a nice start, but maybe we can sneak into the playoffs?
After managing what we could in the transfer window with our small budget we're putting our remaining funds towards the youth academy and we hired a local scout, Pablo Ramos, to scout Mexico for 3 months. We look forward to his reports.
February schedule:
- 2/6/16: Puebla
- 2/10/16: Toluca
- 2/13/16: Cruz Azul
- 2/19/16: U.N.A.M.
- 2/27/16: America
And that's all for now!vrabbit

Moose: I haven't watched the videos yet but I voted on the polls. I like realism so I went with who would most likely move to West Ham out of the options. Batshuayi and Bradley were my picks. I saw Batshuayi linked IRL and Bradley could realistically move from the MLS to West Ham. I look forward to seeing the videos later!Comment

Sorry I've been out of action. My dog's been sick for the last week or so, so I haven't really been worried with much else other than getting her back to top health. She's on the mend now, so next update should be up today.Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
[emoji112] hello gentlemen. Thanks for the shout Simp! Sorry for disappearing like that guys. Been going through a lot lately and it interfered with my FIFA addiction. I broke up with my girlfriend of 5 years, a stupid mistake of mine, and got fired from my job where I was employed at for 2 years. I fell hard to the point that I hit rock bottom. Really hard times for me and playing FIFA was the last thing on my mind. Things are finally better now though! I'm back with my girlfriend and we're looking for a place to move out together with plans to get married in the near future. I haven't officially proposed yet but we're already talking about our marriage plans lol. Finding a new job has been extremely difficult, but I applied for the local police department and I finally heard back from them. I'll be taking a written exam on the 22nd of this month to kick off the hiring process. I haven't played FIFA yet, but I plan to get back to Koln and post some updates. Gotta contribute to this awesome thread that's back on fire again!
Really glad to come back and see that someone has started a career in Mexico!! Interesting choice with Sinaloa that's definitely a struggle! IRL they're currently the worst team in the league with 4 defeats in 4 matches, they haven't scored a single goal so far, and have received 8 goals. They're the #1 candidate to be relegated and they're doing nothing to break their fall. I'm surprised to see you cancelled the loans of Vidrio and Arce but your reasoning is logical. Last season Dorados also had Giovanni Hernandez on loan from Guadalajara who isn't very consistent IRL but he's a quality midfielder in FIFA. You've been doing extremely well with the squad that you have so far though looks like you're shocking the entire league! Try to finish at least in the top 4 so that you can qualify to the Copa Libertadores!! Which squad update are you using by the way?

But yea I don't know if you remember the CM that I started in Australia? I moved to Mexico midway through the season. Sinaloa is rough but I've been having some success, though I still get humbled from time to time. How does qualifying for Libertadores work from Apertura and Clausura?
I don't even know if I wanna get there next season to be honest. If you look at my roster update you'll see nearly everyone on the 11 is a loanee, and my GK is retiring. Whatever success I may have in the Clausura may not be a sure thing to be repeated next season depending on what kind of talent I can bring in on a very low budget.vrabbit

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
SMH - I dig that you're doing a CM with a team/league not many people get into, do you happen to be Russian? You had a dominant December with both Erokhin and Sapeta scoring good for you (your CM also allows me to scout some players that normally wouldn't be on my radar). You are right there to claim a CL spot and you still have a good shot to win the league though I'm sure Zenit is not going to make it easy. I look forward to seeing what moves you can make in the January transfer window.
--> Then realized you're also doing a Mallorca CM. Nice. You're destroying Liga Adelante, not sure what else I can say about that one except try to get some funds for the January window and see if you can put most of your funds towards guys on pre-contract. They're a better investment for your money and it sure looks like you won't need any extra help this season.
I never thought I would dominate like I am with Mallorca. I hope I don't lose interest before I make it to La Liga. Thanks for the tip on pre-contracts!
@SMH - December was a great month for you three solid wins and with two of them coming against good Moscow sides. That Lokomotiv demolishion is an amazing result! You are just a couple of points behind Dinamo and I can see the game against them being a very important one. Interesting to see if you will manage to make any big signings with the amount of money you have.
Mallorca: Can we just skip to the end of the season? Haha damn, you are destroying the league! Like you said you have conceded like a goal in 14 games which is unbelievable! I'm looking forward to see how you manage against the big boys of La Liga next season.
Again, with Mallorca, I just hope I don't lose interest. I think I can get to La Liga, but this season is dragging on at this point. The goal differential is insane.
Thanks for following everyone!Comment

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?
SMH, with Mallorca if you clinching a spot in La Liga is all but a certainty you could try playing the games with your backups for a better challenge that will also allow you to see what you got in them!vrabbit

Back from injury, August's Player of the Month, Gerson Acevedo, shined again in a short month of January. The Chilean scored the decisive goal in a huge match with Dinamo Moscow and also earned Man of the Match honors. If Acevedo can stay healthy, FC Ural's chances of qualifying for Europe should be considered quite high.
Russian Premier League Table
1. Zenit - 41 pts
2. CSKA - 37 pts
3. Krasnodar - 34 pts
4. Ural - 34 pts
5. Dinamo - 33 pts

Manager's Thoughts
Huge win against Dinamo Moscow as we jumped from 5th to 4th and dropped them from 3rd to 5th. It's nice to have Gerson Acevedo back, as he really solidifies our midfield. Alexandr Sapeta continues to be in amazing form as well. Our schedule in the next few months is brutal, but I'm really thinking we can finish in the top 5 for a Europa League spot and maybe even sneak into the Champions League.
February 2016 - Schedule
2/13 - at CSKA
2//21 - vs Kuban
2/28 - at Zenit
Like I said in my thoughts, our schedule gets incredibly hard from here. At CSKA Moscow and Zenit St. Petersburg this month (the top 2 teams in the league) is rough. Both games against these sides in Yekaterinburg were 1-1 draws, so I hope we can get at least that much on the road. We really have to beat Kuban Krasnodar. They have good players, but are languishing in 11th place. 3 points there is vital. In sum, I'll take 5 of a possible 9 for February.
