I almost exclusively play Legendary Slow and I've scored a respectable amount of headers from corners. Not loads but some. I think you're being a bit unreasonable in this criticism in particular as most corners in football in real life don't result in goals.

Re: EA SPORTS FC 24 OS Community Sliders
Took a break from FC24. Just switched on and saw the very worrying update from EA.
They suggest the midfield is "too congested" when that couldn't be further from the truth. There is no midfield in this game.
They also suggested players mark too aggressively, which is also completely untrue. A lack of marking has always been an issue in this game.
"lowered the trackback speed of AI teammates"... Yet again, something which needed to be fixed the other way.
EA have never watched game of football in their lives!!
Will try out set 7 today. But the patch notes are a massive concern. The last thing this games needs is more space, less marking and less tracking back.
EA are a joke.Comment

Re: EA SPORTS FC 24 OS Community Sliders
How is the game playing since the update i haven’t downloaded it yet but reading the pitch note it’s looking scary cause only thing i see is offense offense offense attack attack attack and reducing midfield congestion when that’s just literally football smh,i can’t wait the day when EAFC decide to separate the offline and online let offline ppl have a simulation game and online can keep their ping pong stuff when i play NHL game theirs so much more you can do to set the game to your preference not even needed to play whit sliders for 3 days straight to find good balance and i don’t play the NFL game but i heard it’s similar but whit EAFC it’s just done in a way where everything is online and offline is neglected since almost 10 years plus when it’s literally their biggest game in the company!!Comment

Re: EA SPORTS FC 24 OS Community Sliders
Been playing WC for ages, so that's not the issue. Maybe I'll try resetting the sliders to defaults and work from there, also interested to see if the latest update changes anything. It's just weird how suddenly and drastically the gameplay changed for me...Comment

Re: EA SPORTS FC 24 OS Community Sliders
First of all thank all of you for making the game feel more realistic!! So grateful!
I've got a question. Does anybody know the exact camera settings Matt uses in his video's?
Thanks in advance and keep up the good work all!!Comment

I use broadcast camera height 20, zoom 0 for the PS5; then for PC, I've got a camera mod that controls the zoom/height to be more impactful increments.Comment

Oh dear. Just had some pretty awful CB jockey on Leg Default, base V7 set (no adjustments) ie 10/10 Sprint and 50/50 Acc. This was LaLiga2, Zaragoza vs Oviedo. CB in question was Dani Calvo (50 Acc, 57 SS). Link below.

Re: EA SPORTS FC 24 OS Community Sliders
I just wanted to add 2 things
1) If you're saying play a Lower difficulty, which I've seen people say a few times then you are completely ignoring the very valid issues that are being brought up. Even if you're doing it in the belief that you're trying to help it really isn't helping. Personally I read it as a bit passive aggressive but maybe isn't intended that way.
2) Anyone hoping that this latest update fixes the issue with r1 dribbling. It really doesn't I'm afraid.
I also wanted to say, someone brought up a good point about the CPU being far too quick to react to things. Have to say I agree with this and it's actually a problem I couldn't articule. The amount of times I put in a good tackle and the ball bounces back to the CPU or block a shot and it falls perfectly to them is ridiculous. I've been playing Fifa for over 20 years so I like to think I know the difference between legacy issues and something not working currently. What I've described is a long standing issue in various titles but this year it just feels different, more amplified. I think the CPU is too aggressive atm, they're too quick and it's making the game too quick. These sliders slow the game down until it's playable but there's multiple moments in single matches where everything just gets sped up. Have to say I'm not enjoying this year's game. On default it's bin worthy stuff, with the sliders it's playable and at times enjoyable but it's just not quite hitting it for me this year. Idk
All personal and individual preference of course I'm seeing a number of people having no issue or even the opposite finding it too easy. For me the game
feels balanced but with way too many bs moments that happen. I don't envy you guys that work on these sliders, there are so many variables for each player, such as skill level, style of play, control settings etc... There is never going to be a set that pleases everyone. Idk even think the problem is with the sliders, for me the issue is with game as it stands.
All that being said If you're having fun, I'm happy for you. Honestly but I think I'm going to take a break until after the new year from the game.
Happy Xmas to all that celebrate it and happy new year when it comes. For everyone else I hope your life is enriched with joy and happiness at this time.Last edited by Fifaplayer99; 12-06-2023, 01:55 PM.Comment

Re: EA SPORTS FC 24 OS Community Sliders
Hey.
I just booted up the game after a while (and installing the update) and it looks like the referee strictness setting went back/was automatically set to Lenient for some reason.
Just wanted to mention that because there might be some other settings that were reset out of nowhere. Will take a quick look now.
Quick edit:
That seemed to be the only setting that was reset. Sliders and everything else seem to be fine.Comment

Re: EA SPORTS FC 24 OS Community Sliders
We are looking at working on the R1 exploit that still seems to be there a bit with very skilled wingers on 40/40 Sprint, so we're on 40/50 Sprint for slow.
In addition, we're looking at FB positioning to get the FBs stay up the pitch a bit longer rather than retreat the defensive line. That was something I was looking at before the title update though, so it's not something the update caused.Comment
