Re: 2nd Demo Available on X360 and PS3 Soon?
I find the graphics in next-gen PES to be really good, and the head-tracking of people on the sidelines is a nice touch. It's not as pretty as FIFA, but I've always found them to be pleasant and not burn-your-retina like FIFA is. Where the game really lacks in is atmosphere / I'm happy with the gameplay changes so far but that repetitive, canned crowd cheering drives me up a wallComment

Alright. Just played demo 2 on ps3 now. Definitely feeling this much more than fifa. It just feels real, while fifa feels too gimicky.Comment

Do you normally get the US version and have any luck finding good OFs?Comment

There are plenty others to choose from here. It might be slim pickings for the first few weeks after release, but I am alright with that. I will just play Master League Online (Coach Mode) while I wait.

Re: 2nd Demo Available on X360 and PS3 Soon?
Anyone else notice its a bit more difficult to pickup the ball in PES 2012, especially whether or not the ball is in the air or on the ground? Now, I've only played 1 game on the 2nd demo, so it could totally be the lighting in the match I played. However, when the CPU was passing the ball around the pitch I had some trouble determining if the passes where actually lobbed or not.Comment

Playing both demos (FIFA and PES), I'm really impressed with how the AI in PES plays intelligently. Your teammates, both on offense and defense play smart and don't rely entirely on you to make the plays. Defensively, they mark well and step up to intercept passes, something that FIFA doesn't do at all.
The more I play both demos, the more PES stands out this year.Steam: BahnzoComment

Also, to me there is a difference in the way the teams/players play and feel unlike Fifa. For example, I thought that Inter was much more active with runs than both Bayern and Spurs.Last edited by ezio; 09-14-2011, 07:28 PM.Comment

agreed X1000. On offense, they get themselves into good positions to receieve passes, usually in space so you can pass to them and then have time to make your next move. The active AI for me is what sets the 2 games apart this year.

I just finished a game in which I won a equalizing penalty in the 89th minute. So fun. The ability to dribble more is huge, as I was slowly moving in the box and got clipped on my ankles and went down. Really liking the foul calls.Comment

Saw this too. Thought I was doing something wrong at first but as it happened more frequently I thought my remote was damaged. Then I realized it was the game. Hope that's not in the full retail.Comment

I just like having the option of telling (or controlling) a teammate to make a run instead of just hoping they do it. The FIFA and PES demos do feel completely different to me.
They should have had a cold medicine be the sponsor of the FIFA demo because the defenders on my teams seemed scared they would catch something if they got too close to the attacking players of the CPU.PSN: PanicshadeLWK

That is one of the biggest things that separates the series for me. In PES, it feels like you're playing different teams and you have to adjust. In FIFA, it's the same thing again and again.

Re: 2nd Demo Available on X360 and PS3 Soon?
Just played the demo and must say I enjoyed it. It's taking a bit of an adjustment to relearn the controls after playing the FIFA demo. Overall I think I enjoyed it more than FIFA. More play time needed to reach a final verdict.
One question: Is there a speed burst button in PES? I didn't notice any kind of boost using the shoulder buttons (Xbox 360).Comment

both feel about the same. Slight difference in speed between the pc and ps3 demos though. On pc I play with -1 speed and it feels real good and smooth. While on ps3, I have to play with -2 speed. The shots on ps3 still feel a tad bit more floaty than the pc version. Still dig both of them though and I'm mainly a console gamer.Comment
