A couple of videos from last night:

1. A nice goal by Nacional off a cross with my CF making a diagonal run, the CPU defender mistiming his header, and my CF slotting it across goal.

2. Simple but I like how the CPU pushes the ball ahead to allow himself to time his steps for a proper cross:

3. Baiting Eto into fouling Boateng (I love the lighting in this video. People are saying the demo is very dark but it's at Allianz Arena which is notorious for it's shadow) :

Haven't read too many of the impressions here, but I can't imagine there isn't any ranting and raving about the keepers. Is it me or do they seem even worse this year? I've downloaded and played Demo 2 and gave up 5 goals in my first game - all due to the GK being totally soft. Parrying a slow roller shouldn't be the default animation every single time a ball comes toward the goal - but that's how all 5 in one game were scored. No crackers, no rockets - all parried balls that even I could grab off the ground. Deal breaker for me this year.

I've downloaded and played Demo 2 and gave up 5 goals in my first game - all due to the GK being totally soft. i think the game is just simulating the ball moving a lot faster than it shows. i think the game slows down the ball on shots so we can track it with our naked eye in real time. but its simulating the ball moving a lot faster so that line drive change up you see is really a cracker. or maybe i'm crazy, both are possibilities. i agree that there are some times when the keepers make me scratch my head, but they aren't TOO bad. i didn't like this demo the first couple games, but i'm getting used to it now and i'm liking it more and more with every game. i will love getting this game and going in depth and really learning how to play.

Nice vids KG. I really thing replays show just how detail this game is. I had a goal last night where I crossed in from the corner and scored on a header. What was great to see in the replay, we my RB had looked up as he was going to put in the cross to pick out a player in the box. Looked so real.

Regarding the keepers, while I do think they are improved, I think they can catch the ball more often rather than parrying it away for a dangerous put back chance.

Thanks. I'm getting ready to upload some FK's I just took with Sneijder. I'm having so much fun using Inter with him patrolling the middle. I literally wasted a half trying to just draw FK's outside the box so I could try some more, lol.

Agreed. I'd like to see an animation where they control/knock it down to take some of the steam off the shot. Keeper responsiveness with the ball needs a complete re-haul. We need to be able to control how powerful goal kicks are as well as throws. I'd like to be able to start a counter with a long throw to the flanks and/or to a CMF.

I didn't play around with tactics and just played as-is, but I was bothered by the fact the fullbacks tucked in and switched positions with the central defenders. In one game with Bayern, Rafinha tried to play every position and often swapped with van Buyten. Maybe his awareness rating is low?! This happened to me in PES 11 as well

There's a "Position Switch" option in the tactics.

BTW, tactics are much improved this year from a user-friendly standpoint. If you can remember what your preset tactics are you could play some free-flowing footy. You could probably even tailor them to specific lineups like Sir Alex does in Champions League play where he plays 1 ST up top and packs the midfield.

I do wish that when there is offsides that doesn't interfere with play they would just play on.

Yep, Definitely check out the tactics, switching is part of it and you can change how often they switch and how often they cover for each other. When I play as a team I am not that familiar with it can be frustrating, once I start to learn what the players are good at and what tactics work the best I play a lot better.

I am not sure with the keepers either, seems a fair amount of the goals scored on me are from bad rebounds being let up but I don't seem to be getting the same types of opportunities, so maybe it needs a fix or I just need to get better. Also a lot of the goals I have let up are just from me making stupid overly aggressive mistakes.

Coolest thing I saw with Munich was Mueller heading the ball on goal and Schweinstieger who was in an offside position ducking to get out of the way when he could have easily directed the ball in, unfortunately the ball was just wide. I had to watch the replay a few times to convince myself that he really was trying to avoid the offside. Pretty Cool.

No bars, is as close as we get to manual on PES. I spray a few passes off target through out the game but still can feel a little bit of assistance at times. Hopefully they will patch it and have it be more manual.

Thanks man, will play the demo a little bit more and see if it wasn't a case where i didn't put the correct settings or something.

Fun demo. Finally got my first win in Professional after probably a dozen games or so of ties and losses. 2-1 Inter vs Bayern.

I've been slowly getting adjusted to the settings and controls. I love -2 game speed on the demo. It is perfect for me.

I'm kind of weak on D, I hate how I'll be running/attacking with a player then getting auto switched to another and getting them out of position. Any fix for this? Or tips?

I've also been rocking with -2 game speed on professional.

This is one amazing game of footy! The goal variety and just overall feeling that every game is different is what makes me love PES and that's no different this year.

I have yet to try the Fifa demo because I'm already sold.
