Haven't seen this mentioned much or at all in these impressions, so I will say it just to remind those who may have forgotten.

Don't forget that in this demo you can use the right stick to tell players when and where to make runs. I had forgotten all about that until I remembered mid-game last night.

I can't lie. This happens to me, too.

I had problems picking up the ball on the PC demo, but I attributed that mostly too my PC/Mac screen. On the 360 I wasn't having any problems so I don't know. I will see if it comes up the more I play. I used the Wide angle, not even sure if you can change it in the demo.

This is the best I've seen fouls in a soccer game in quite some time. Really like that the AI will charge at a player when he has his back to him and go hard for the ball. That's a foul I constantly see in real-life but don't remember seeing it done correctly in a game till now.

Just had a great game with Inter v Bayern that I lost 4-3 on top player. I tried to play a few games on professional but the possession difference is too heavy in my favor for my liking.

Control in this game is night and day to me compared to last years. This has been my soccer game of choice the past 3 years and to see how much this game has improved each year has been amazing.

I just had a match with Internacional (me) vs America on Professional (by accident because I forgot to lower it). It was really back and forth the whole time which surprised me because I figured the CPU would destroy me. They pressured a lot but it wasn't too much. I still had my chances and so did they. My keeper kept making save after save. One time he put himself in a bad position after the initial save but a teammate cleared it off the line to stop them. I ended up winning 1-0 by taking a shot from the top of the box and getting a deflection from the defender. It snuck into the bottom corner at the last second right past the goalkeeper's fingertips.

They kept taking risky tackles and got carded twice near the middle of the second half. Right after that they did another hard tackle and it switched to the teams starting to push each other and get really heated (like it should be in a 0-0 game that late). I thought that was nice.

start at 1:22. That is what I love about PES. Being able to work it around and break down the defense for the shot on goal.

Okay I have my verdict and I won't mention the other game. I am seeing so many good things and I must say that I am in love with this game, lol. I saw an awesome animation that I have been wanting to see in a footy game for a long time. When I was using Inter vs. Tottenham, I cleared the ball over to the left wing that fell to Gareth Bale's feet. He had a lot of time on the ball since nobody was near him but instead of dribbling or quick crossing Bales gently nudges the ball forward and plants himself then whips a cross into the box. It was all in one fluid animation and it is some you should see in a footy game. Players setting themselves before shooting and crossing is in PES 2012!

Also I am loving how teams play differently, has anybody notice how Rangers FC always look to cross the ball? Either way I can't wait for the full game to release I will definitely be doing formations for this some teams in this game. Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund will be the first on my list.

^My thoughts exactly. I gave the other game's demo a try and still felt PES is the absolute way to go. I cannot wait for the full retail game. Can't wait to try the Champions League, but I'm actually more excited to play the Copa Libertadores mode since it has a lot of teams I am not familiar with yet.

And great video Raider. That second goal was gold. Strikes from distance like that make me jump out of my seat. Also I've never seen those celebration animations before. The celebration animation for when the Rangers scored was very realistic because I see teams do that type of celebration all the time when they are down (taking the ball form the goal and running towards the midfield to start the game again).

One thing I have noticed, (maybe it has been mentioned already) you had better know when to released the R2 button on defense.

If you are faceguarding someone (using R2) and they chip it over your head release R2 immediately or else the recipient of the pass will more than likely have a good look at scoring.

But you know what's beautiful Comrades? We, at OS are actually discussing, comparing and taking sides between this and the other game.

I can see a divide within the near future, camps of this and the other game.

Excellent points as I am seeing the same, as well. This is something new that the game was lacking and now really has me ecstatic. I am also very fond of the new tactics mapping to the D-pad, which also includes 3 preset attacking modes (that also allows formation changes on-the-fly). Much improved!

After taking a couple days to debate whether or not to order this I decided to take the plunge and get it for the 360. I had $5 of promo cash on my Amazon account so I ordered from there with the $0.99 release date delivery option.

This is by far the best PES for X36/PS3. Everything about the demo is perfect except for one thing....the 10 minute intro sequence.

Speaking of animations I was playing the ps3 demo I think as Spurs and at first I thought the player headed the ball down toward my other player to set him up for the shot. During the replay I was like did he do what I think he did so I went and looked at it again and instead of heading it he actually chested it down to set up the other player for the shot. It was beautiful.

I've been playing the demo on -2 speed and loving it, but Tuesday when I first tried it I couldn't help but feel that it was moving really, really slow. Then I realized it was because I just played the FIFA demo and that it's just too damn fast, not that PES is too slow.

Now, playing on -2 it feels just perfect and still fast in a way. Not fast, but not slow. It's just right.
