Re: 2nd Demo Available on X360 and PS3 Soon?
I've been playing the demo on -2 speed and loving it, but Tuesday when I first tried it I couldn't help but feel that it was moving really, really slow. Then I realized it was because I just played the FIFA demo and that it's just too damn fast, not that PES is too slow.
Now, playing on -2 it feels just perfect and still fast in a way. Not fast, but not slow. It's just right.Comment

Re: 2nd Demo Available on X360 and PS3 Soon?
I went down to -2 as well after playing last year on -1 and the 1st demo on -1.
There are so many things that make this game feel and look realistic. I really like the new burst control. I had a play where I sent it out wide to Bale after a corner, he had the ball at his feet with defender in front, Bale made some feints while standing on the ball (CPU controlled it), and then as the defender came in on me. I used the burst, blew by him and made the open cross that resulted in a goal.Seattle Pilots GM (2011 - ) Record: 152 - 195

Re: PES 2012 Demo 2 Impressions/Discussion
Haven't seriously bought PES or FIFA for about 2 years. Downloaded the PS3 demo yesterday and I must say, I'm really impressed. I was introduced to video game soccer on PES and I thought visually the demo looked really good and the play felt smooth. I may have to jump back into the fray and buy PES 12 this year.Go Yankees!

Uhhh... I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Discussion is great, comparison is inevitable and can be healthy if used constructively -- ie, ___ could be better by doing this like ____ does; not ___ sucks, ___ FTW! But the idea of fostering two "camps" where people "take sides" is not what this place is about.

Re: 2nd Demo Available on X360 and PS3 Soon?
When I play this years Pro Evo I feel like I am playing a pretty close simulation to real soccer. The fact that their are called fouls over the course of a game, errant passes by the computer, and the feeling that when you do score you jump for joy make Pro Evo my go to this year.
Add in the fact that I can run it on high settings on my laptop connected to my TV and I am all set.Comment

Re: 2nd Demo Available on X360 and PS3 Soon?
I like the -1 setting and I have to say that earlier some one mentioned having problems picking up the ball sometimes, whether it is in the air or on the ground and I have noticed that mostly in the shade, I try to focus on the little X when the ball is in the air when I get confused. I understand why sports games go with the shading effects but at times it makes the visibility a little difficult, I usually just turn up the brightness on my TV and that helps some.
I really like the angles players take on defense most of all, it is making me work harder and play more realistically.
Want to experiment more with the manual passing and the pass assist levels, my first experiment didn't go to well.
I have to echo most of the comments here, seeing mostly positives and that it looks like they really did address the issues they said they were going too and that it does what they said it would.Comment

Re: 2nd Demo Available on X360 and PS3 Soon?
I love seeing errant crosses. Especially one that go over everyone's head and either roll out or a full back sprints up to grab it. Something that is constantly seen is crosses that go too far so I love seeing it included. I saw some last year, but not like I have this year.
Damn. Can't wait to get off work and play this again.Comment

I'm hoping to get some time with demo 2 tonight. The first one showed me a lot and was miles ahead of 2011 in the areas I wanted to see improvement.Last edited by Qb; 09-15-2011, 06:59 PM.Comment

Re: PES 2012 Demo 2 Impressions/Discussion
most people here are older gamers though I think and just want to play a good footie game like myself that's why you don't see people name calling about which game is better.
I myself have played all the demos and I will keep it simple on how I see it
FIFA 12 Demo
-better visually I think with the eye candy
-the control is much smoother this year for FIFA.. and some new controls are good on defense
-the sound and presentation will most likely will be top notch in this game like usual for those that love all that stuff.. including all the licences and leagues
-better online play.. meaning more options and well clubs FIFA will have and has built an online community already.. a lot people buy FIFA alone for the online play.. I know many from the EASHL clubs on my friends list that quit NHL 11 clubs to move to FIFA because it was better they said
PES 2012 Demos
-this game also has better controls and much smoother than previous years on PS3.. I would say best yet by far on PS3
-the computer AI is better in this game and this game has better buildup play and closer to the real thing.
-I also believe the gameplay is more exciting in this game when playing against the computer.. at least for me. I dunno what it is but when I score or even come close to scoring I get excited a lot more when I play this game saying now that is football
-in the PES 2012 Demo 2 they made passing even tougher as I was playing on 1 bar assistance and now it seems 1 bar from the first demo = 3 bars from the 2nd demo to me. ALso shooting is better and harder. I think it's about right. Keepers are better as well..
-the off the ball movement in this game is a lot better I think so far going by the demos... and even though I'm not good at controlling my own runs yet but it is great to use that option. but even if you don't create your own off the ball runs.. the computer AI moves off the ball a lot better in this game than FIFA to me. Konami has really done great in this aspect with the computer AI better than any footie game.
-This game will be the better game as far as gameplay goes and offline play against the computer AI imo
I'm going to get one game because I don't have time for buying multiple footie games and I didn't buy NHL this year as well because I just want to focus on one of these footie games. My original plan was to get FIFA 12 for sure and play online clubs a bunch with a lot of people I know from the NHL online community but after playing the PES demos I am pretty sure I'm getting PES 2012 instead now. I will be honest I'm more of an online sports gamer but if there is one game I can have fun playing offline against the computer a bunch.. I think it's PES. The computer AI in this sports game is not the same thing over and over and doesn't get as boring quickly like most other sports games to me. I am the type that can't stand to play the Computer AI usually. PES will have online play too and great offline multiplayer... but I doubt it will be as good FIFA online overall... as far as options go considering they got Clubs and better servers. It's really hard for me to choose considering I love online play but honestly I don't think most can't go wrong with either game to be honest... BUT for me though I think I gotta go with PES because to me the football is better and closer to the real thing that gets me excited playing the game and keep coming back. my hope is that PES online plays like it does offline and is lag free. Also, this is another minor complaint that I hope is fixed for PES online this year. Last year you could not control the keeper online but you could offline. I know many might not even use this option or know of it but when playing multiplayer this is good thing to use to position the keeper.... especially on free kicks. Konami only had this control enabled for offline play though last year.Last edited by steveeee; 09-15-2011, 07:14 PM.Comment

Really jealous of you PS3/PC people because some of these Xbox 360 glitches are getting on my nerves. Hard to believe I'm still having such a great time with the game tho..
What are your guys opinions on the different assistance levels of passing so far? I, for one, went to straight to "manual" passing right off the bat and boy did that kick my butt. Don't know which one I'll be sticking with, possibly 2 or 1 bars as I feel I have more control. Love to hear some opinions on this.Comment

Same here. I don't have any problems with no bars. It does well for insuring that I make mistakes and jump out of my seat when I connect a wonderful ball.Originally posted by My Wife"The Celtics only won because they have a magical elf playing for their team...."Comment
