They are not good enough to win the league as they stand. I would need to get rid of a lot of players and staff.

I would have to raid both my former teams. Something I dont like to do.

Payroll and Transfer Budget is $350M and $190M

Sounds like a project. If you're up for a project, go there. Try to build it up without going after your old teams.

I say stay and try to build up QPR, but if you really really wanted to take on Real, then do so.

If you would have $190 mil to spend on transfers, it doesn't seem like it would be much of a challenge. I'd stick it out with QPR until you get bored there, then go to Spain.

Chugging along in year two with Palmero. My title defense is going well. I sit tied on points for 1st place with Inter entering February, though they do have the goal differential advantage. I play Real Madrid in the CL first knockout round coming up, and as for my TIM Cup championship defense, I just had a great win vs. Milan in the quarters:

Went up 2-0, they tied it, then went up for good 3-2 and withstood heavy pressure to hang on for the win. Quite the thrilling game.

It's been a while since I posted, or played seriously really.

A gist of how my post-portland career has gone so far:

Stint with Gimnastic went well, I performed above expectations, and signed a bunch of talent. I came into the Next season on an upward trend, looking at promotion to La Liga the following year, until I realized I had a problem. A slew of contracts were up that year, combined with a lower payroll budget and higher demands meant we were going nowhere, so I decided to try and jump ship.

I landed at a drastically underachieving Swansea, who were predicted 3rd in the Championship and were 22nd, about halfway through the year. There's plenty of talent here, and I'm looking at promotion to the Premier League in the next season. Right now, the hardest part about managing this team is waiting for next year.

Just crushed Real Madrid 4-0 in the CL knockout stage first leg. I feel pretty confident I'll be advancing. The highlight was this strike by my wonderkid striker Omar Damen:

And for those curious how my league title defense is going, here's the current league table:

I easily qualified for the World Cup.

And the groups for the World Cup are.....

I was sacked from Roma, I was 14th in the Serie A (mostly due to injuries) They ran a very tight ship in Roma I see.

Finished my first season at Swansea the other night. After taking over halfway though in relegation position, we finished 10th, and made the quarterfinals of the FA Cup.

Milwall and Plymouth were also relegated.

After making some changes in the offseason, here is the squad I've come back with, a squad I believe can win the Championship.

This confidence was only spurred on by the fact that our preseason warm up matches were exceptional. Specifically the 4-3 win over Everton, and the 6-0 demolition of Hapoel Tel-Aviv in Israel.

Been a long time, but I recently fired FM back up, been extremely busy. Started up a national team side with USA in jan 2011. Went with a selection of the same and new, also went through and added alot of players to pool, and dropped most players over 30.

Started with 2011 Gold Cup, Group play:

                          Panama W 2-0
                          T&T D 1-1
                          Canada D 1-1

Finished 2nd in group behind T&T.

                          Qrt: El Salvador W 3-1
                          Semi: Honduras W 3-0

                          Finals: Mexico W 3-0

So I guess my lineup worked out? hehe

Here is lineup that beat Mexico: (classic 4-4-2 formation, with agressive wingbacks)

                          GK - Howard
                          WR - Lichaj
                          DC - Franklin
                          DC - Cameron
                          WL - Bornstein
                          MR - Dempsey
                          MC - Bradley
                          MC - Edu
                          ML - Donovan
                          ST - Aguedelo
                          ST - Altidore

                          Gold Cup stats:

                          J. Hernandez(MX) - 8 goals for tourney
Dempsey and Donovan 3 goals each
                          Beasley - 3 assists
                          Franklin - 2 goals
                          E. Johnson - 1 goal
                          Altidore - 2 goals
                          Cameron - 1 goal
Average rating 7.0 or higher for tourney: Beasley, Donovan, Dempsey, Cameron, Franklin, Lichaj, Bornstein.

Think I found my new backline for USA, figured it out in quarters finals, and was solid through finals.

Good start as national coach, got qualifying to look forward to and Confeds Cup.

I moved up to 9th in world rankings with USA.

After dealing with some glitches with my save, everything is back on track and I advanced past Real Madrid to face their rivals, Barcelona in the CL quarterfinals. Really wish I had drawn Zenit or Everton. And for those MLS fans reading this thread, Colorado is through to the Concacaf CL finals in my save by beating Toluca 10-0 on aggregate. Wow.

Got a great result in the 2nd leg to reach the semis:

When they scored the first two to go up on away goals, I thought I was done. But then I switched to counter and completely turned the game around.
