Well I just took the Uruguay job and they were in first in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers for 2014 before I was hired. I had a pretty good first game managing them.

One game left in the league and we're sitting in 5th but are not safe. Leicester and Burnley have already locked up promotion spots, and Reading is safe unless something goes horribly wrong for them. Just have to make sure I beat Ipswich.

Fulham might be on their way down if they lose and Newcastle can pull out a win.

Is there any greater feeling in Football Manager than winning on the last PK?

Won the CL knockout stages vs. Porto:

And the quarterfinal draw is in, and theoretically there could be an all Italy or all England semifinal:

I've won my second Champions League title at Liverpool! 2-1 AET in a classic final. Finished 2nd in the league behind Arsenal, who I beat twice in the league. I lost in the Final of the Carling Cup to Arsenal, and beat Arsenal for my 3rd straight FA Cup. On the way to the Champions League final, I put Man U out when down to 9 men in the quarters, and schooled Arsenal in the semis 3-1 on aggregate (2-0 after the first leg at the Emirates).

This was Liverpool's last season at Anfield. The move to Daglish Arena will happen over the break. The new stadium increases capacity by 15,000. Fittingly, the final match at Anfield was a 3-0 drubbing of rivals Everton.

Congrats on the CL win! Sounds like an absolutely awesome match. It's too bad my internet was so flaky that I missed your live description of the match on Hamachi chat. Let's hope you get in CL win #3 before FM 12 arrives.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Well, I got approached for 3 International jobs after Euro 2020. Spain was one of them, so I had to take that. Our qualifying group for World Cup 2022 in China is no gimmie with Italy, Greece, Scotland, Austria, and San Marino as the competition.

Also, the Olympics might put a major dent in my early league campaign. Several key players are missing and because of injury, I'm down to an 18-year-old youth player in goal. I've already lost the first league match because of the missing players. And not all of them are back for the opening of Daglish Arena against newly promoted Sheffield Wednesday.

EDIT: First match in charge of Spain at home against Italy in the WCQ was interesting to say the least. 1-1 at the half. Italy had a man sent off early in the 2nd half. Great, right? Giocomo Dell'Aquila (my star striker at Liverpool) proceeds to score 2 goals in quick succession against my Spain side (showoff). Undeterred, I kept with the gameplan and scored 3 beautiful team goals to win 4-3.

Prior to the match, the Spain fans were not to happy that I took out 6 aging players and brought in the future. They were worried that we were going to be embarrassed. I hope they enjoyed what the new guys are capable of.

I have been offered the Chelsea job, asked their board until the end of the season to reply and they said yes. I might just take the job.

Edit: Next stop, Brazil. My team became the first team other than Brazil to qualify for the World Cup.

I'd say scoring an injury-time equalizer to keep yourself alive in a big competition trumps it. I've actually jumped up and run around the room after doing this.

Only to have the FM gods torture you and have your team lose the lead or game in injury time.

Well for the first time since 1994 PSG have one Ligue 1.

And to add to that, a 3-peat of the Coupe De France. Because of this PSG surpassed Marseille record of 10 Coupe De France trophies with their 11 Coupe De France Trophy. I also entered the France Hall Of Fame.

And with that I start a new chapter in England with Chelsea.
