I kinda feel bad for Newcastle, though. They thought they were getting Villas-Boas, but at the last second he went to Wolfsburg. Going for Villas-Boas to Pullis...ouch.

Wenger is about to be fired too.

Mancini and I are in a war of words.

Eh, I dunno. I think it just goes purely off of ratings with a boost for managers that are domestic. The names probably don't make sense, but the ratings do. Also, IRL, it's always the same names being recycled through the EPL, so it's really not that bad.

Maybe, Drogba's coaching ratings are pretty poor. Especially for EPL standards... but yet he somehow coached Blackburn to 5th so who knows.

He's at Chelsea in mine too. He's not too good at motivating or Man Management, but he's like a 20 in everything else.

LvG is at Chelsea in mine as well. AVB lasted up to December of 2011 before he was fired only to take up the Villa job. He lost that early in the 2012 campaign.

And why was I never offered a better job after promoting a team in my first year? The board handed me 1.13M transfer budget and 165K payroll budget to try and stay in the Bundesliga while expecting me to beat Bayern with ther 75M payroll.

Because simply getting a team promoted isn't enough in FM. You usually need multiple promotions (which got me the Palermo job in FM 11), or need finish above expectations if your one promotion got you to a top-tier league. Reputation/experience also plays a part, so if you started at Sunday League experience that will hurt your job prospects until you get continued success. I'd say if you can bring 1860 back to the Bundesliga you should start getting some great offers.

I've won everything in Portugal in both years I've been at Porto, plus going to the semis of the CL both year and had an invincible season and still got beat out for the Bayern Munich job by Stale Slobakken (who has them sitting 6th after 7). It normally takes 3-4 years of climbing before you start getting better job offers

Well I got sacked from Blackburn, but quickly found a job with Millwall who are 19th in The Championship. Stupid me got picky and waited to get a offer from Nottingham Forest even though I got a offer from Portsmouth, I didn't get either job, both were 12th and 13th respectively. I signed Rivaldo on a free, he scored a goal on his first game (its in the highlights thread)

Too bad you didn't take the Portsmouth job. We could have compared who does better.

The Dortmund collapse is insane. I've seen crazy things in FM (including Manchester United becoming a perennial bottom-tier EPL team in FM 10), but nothing like this. They'll have to have a fire-sale if they get relegated, as I can't imagine guys like Gotze wanting to play in the 2. Liga.

I've gotten offers from Barca after year 1 and Argentina after year 3. Refused both although Argentina was interesting. But since I would be taking over right after the WC meant that I would be 4 years away from the next WC. That also meant more miles on Messi and friends.

How about losing Ashley Cole and Timmothy Chandler in the same game due to red cards?

Oh, and it was Cole's first game since his last outright red.

I've had it up to my head on Cole. He's either hurt or always friggin getting red cards.

I know there are programs out there that allow you to look at entire databases including hidden attributes. You could try downloading one of those and see if you could get them into a spreadsheet from it.
