Yeah, I'm not sure. It's a very weird thing. Unsure if it's a pre-set tactic thing or if it's a team not meshing thing. It seems to be pretty consistent with them, though.

My 2nd season starts off with Arsenal... and Brendan Rodgers is their manager trying to play mind games with my team, singling out Stevie G as the weakest link.

There was a lot of money moving in and out during the summer. My pictures won't upload because my net is being ****, but I'll cover the major ones.

Morata was choice 3 for striker cover and I was scrambling a bit before the season started. I had an offer accepted for him for 15 million and he resigned with Madrid for a long-term deal and I had to up my offer to 25 million. I tried to bring in Kevin Volland from Dortmund but he's signed until 2019 and they wouldn't accept any offers for him, and the same for Edinson Cavani who is signed until 2018. II couldn't get offers accepted for either of them.

Next year my only goal is a (hopefully) world-class right back. Martin Kelly has been holding down the spot admirably, but I don't think he's the long term answer there for me and Flanagan isn't nearly as attack-minded as I would like. I'll need depth at LB as well. Jack Robinson is good enough to fill in for emergencies, but I'll need someone to spell Luke Shaw.

I keep editing because I forget stuff. My scout found a nice regen RB I'd love to get my hands on (his dribbling and finishing are TERRIBLE (like... 3's terrible) but his first touch, passing and technique are all from 12-16 and he's fast - 17 pace. Couldn't get him a work permit, sadly. I keep him on my shortlist, because I want to train him up - he's from Turkey.

City won the league in 1st year of my save, but Arsenal was the team that struggled. Finished 9th, fired Wenger. Wenger took over Bayern Munich when Pep took over Spain's national squad.

You can adjust your full backs to go forward if you need to at some point, but you really want to have a DM fully committed to defending to muck things up for them in the middle. You can also add another full DM if you have a good one and only have one support mid.

It means the player has specific instructions for the position. For instace for me Lasse Schone has different instructions as a ST, AMC and CM than any of my other guys in those same positions.

oooohhh okay I think I only ever did position instructions... I might need to reconsider that approach ^_^

Crazy game vs. Man City. The win put me in 2nd place at the end of October behind Sp*rs who have won every single match and have yet to concede.

Edit: Also, Liverpool have started the season 0-2-7 with a -14 GD. Miraculously Brendan Rodgers is still employed there. But not for long, methinks.

She's just not happy because I beat her in a friendly.

I'd be happier if I could figure out what I'm doing wrong for possession, everything else I do fine, if I could figure out why players don't keep possession we'd be steamrolling the Superliga right now.

For the first time in my (relatively short) FM career....

                        Spoiler

After finishing 3rd, and then 4th, we reached the top!

It was kind of a rough start to the season; we had a lot of the top teams front loaded on the schedule. But that provided a nice opportunity to have a string of games later in the season against the lower teams to go on a couple good runs.

Unfortunately ran into Real Madrid in the CL Quarterfinals, they handled us pretty easily. 5-2 aggregate loss IIRC.

Eriksen and Lamela are a great tandem. Lamela had 23 goals in all comps, Eriksen had 10 goals and 20 assists in the EPL. Although on Eriksen's player page, it says under his future plans that he prefers to play for Barcelona. So I am kind of dreading going through this offseason, really hope he doesn't want to bolt for La Liga.

Now I'm trying to decide whether to stay with this save and try to win the Champions League, or start a new one with a lower league team and try to fight the promotion battle.
If I do decide to do that, I'm thinking about doing a Serie A, La Liga, or Bundesliga lower league team, just to get a different "flavor". I've only ever done English teams (In 13 I did Tottenham and Ipswich, and so far in 14 I've just done Tottenham)

AND A BOARD TAKEOVER CANCELS ALL OF MY IMPROVEMENT PLANS A FEW MONTHS OUTSIDE OF THEM BEING COMPLETED.

This game, it wants me to cry.

I've not formally resigned, but I will be seeking employment now that the curtain has closed on the season

No, stay away. Stay far away, CPU teams will annoy you with co-ownership offers.

I just went to Inter, I had a ton of job offers after the seasons concluded. Lyon, Arsenal, Stade Rennais, Stuttgart, Udinese, Celta and Valladolid. I applied and reached out to Inter, my second job in Italy, I did Vicenza in FM 2012.

Of course, my first task, bring as many of the good-great prospects I got at Viborg to Inter.
