I just found out something interesting, I have the stadium backgrounds from last year and they only seem to work with FM's default skin. I had the Steklo skin and the backgrounds don't appear.

My first FULL season at Port Vale ended with a JPT victory, LC Semi-Final, FA Semi-Final, and the L1 title/promotion.
Next year unless Stoke gets promoted, Stoke/Port Vale renewed!Support Local Sports

You know he found a file for the Azerbaijan PL since he started his job there waiting for this chance.

Playing as Real Madrid, and the misses I have been having to deal with are absolutely pathetic and just cost me in the Quarter finals of the Champions League, out shot Arsenal ridiculously, but they just could not convert easy chances.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Well, my strikers still can't score at Karlsruhe. My four strikers have a combined 2 goals through January. The only reason I'm in 3rd is because my AMR and AML have picked up the slack, and my defense is good so I'm winning a lot of 1-0 games. I just brought a player in on loan who will hopefully be able to hit the net, but it sure is frustrating watching strikers not do what I'm paying them to do.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
were this real life, I wonder if the Hartlepool manager would be furious with me. Fielding my normal first team, I would've most likely beaten Walsall handily. However, due to having already clinched the League One title, the final two games, I decided to play some of my kids, see how they do in League One. Well my reserve reserves/U18 combination lost to Walsall 0-2. Now what I didn't realize, is that Hartlepool and Walsall were fighting for the last spot in the promotion playoff race. Now granted, all Hartlepool had to do was win and they were in, Walsall needed a Hpool loss and to beat me. Well Hartlepool ended up losing to second placed Millwall, 1-0 and I of course lost to Walsall giving Walsall the final place in the playoff. Oh, if only I had played my startersSupport Local Sports

I just realized the easiest job in this game would probably be starting off at Rangers FC, considering they start off in the Scottish 3rd Division and completely outclass every team in the league.Comment

But yes, the first season is simple. I played as them to get some achievements knocked out.
My new game (that is looking to be my long-term game) is in place now. I finally found a good english football pyramid (down to level 9) to download, and can finally play as FC United of Manchester. Their back story intrigued me, so I wanted to play as them this year.

Decided to my own career save starting with the team in the lower league, went with Paris FC in the Championnat National league. I can already tell I'm going to try bunch of different tactics. Pretty nice logo they have.

They also can't bring in any players, and will have troubles keeping their own under contract.

Doing great in league (20-1-0), though it's hard to get these guys motivated. Cup competitions...not so much. Board is slightly ticked I got knocked out of the Scottish League Cup 1-0 by Aberdeen in the 2nd Round and knocked out in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup 1-0 in an extra time replay at home against St. Johnstone. I've been able to lock up some of the younger kids to extensions, I kept some clubs off of Lee Wallace, and I was able to extend Lee McCullough.
You're right though...this team is going to get really young, really quick in Year 2. I'm just looking to get the Scottish hero achievement lol.Comment
