The individual goals stats you guys are posting have me jealous. In my seasons so far, Rooney & RVP have broken 20+ once in separate years. My scoring is usually pretty spread out but I feel like my truly great players should be a lot more prolific.

Any tips?

Hard to say anything without knowing the tactic(s) you use.

In other news: I'm going back to my FM roots and starting LLM.

I took over FC Ilves in Finland. A semi-pro team currently residing in the Finnish second league (the Ykkönen.) Media predicted us 3rd, board wants to win the league. Should be interesting, though at this level not a whole lot truly separates the clubs.

I picked them because they have a weird looking Lion as their badge, and that jumped out at me. The other option, had I not chosen Ilves, would have been KooTeePee - but it seemed (despite a semi-weird recent history of bankruptcy and being reformed) they would have been a "bigger club" or something. I dunno. On to the weird lion!

My main tactic is a 4-2-3-1. Against smaller sides or if I just plain want to say **** it, 4-2-2-2. My 3rd tactic is a constantly evolving variation of 4-3-3/3-5-2 - I change it every year.

With my main tactic:
FB - CD - BPD - FB
-----CM-CM------
---IF - AP - IF----
-------CF---------

Depending on the players, the roles change. I am now using Very Fluid and Control as my main play-style after 3 seasons. I get lots of possession, but still too wasteful in front of goal - though that could be a match engine issue as well.

First Inter Game went much better than I ever expected.

I started Belec, Montoya, Andersen, Thorsen, Santon, Xabi Alonso, Matthias Ginter, Mads Laudrup, Christian Eriksen, Marco van Ginkel, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Oh Europa League, pairing me with Viborg in the group stages is just all too sweet.

Mine is similar to yours, but mine is this way and have lead the league in goals in both of my years.

FB(S) - CD(D) - CD(D) - CWB(A)
-----Box(S)-AP(S)-------
---W(S)----T(A)-----IF(A)
--------AF(A)------

I really like Trequartista. FM saids that it doesn't do much defensively, but my player is always hustling back on defense.

Here's what I'm planning on using in my new save with Sparta Rotterdam. I have a few tweaks I make depending on the situation (you can see v2 and v3 of my formation at the top), but it's nothing major. Three players have individual instructions: El Hassnaoui (AML) is asked to 'Sit Narrower', Bessa (AMC) to 'Roam From Position', and Sinouh (GK) to "Distribute To Defenders'. It's still early in the season, so we'll see how this turns out.

I play Rooney most of the time in the 10 and have tried him as a Trequartista, Shadow Striker and Attacking Midfielder. Trequartista has been the most rewarding role throughout the years. In my current season, Kagawa has been on fire lately in the 10 as an Advanced Playmaker.

Hmm, maybe I need to get more clinical finishers? Last season RVP was on a major slump, then Chicharito joined him and Rooney was the only one who was a bit consistent. Lost the league by 3 points! Draxler scored 17 as an IF.

Speaking of this, I have ALL my 1st-team players on specific instructions. Should I dial back on this? It might be affecting my shape and overall play.

EDIT: Been trying to use the REAL NAMES FIX but it doesn't want to work with my save. I'm 100% sure I installed it correctly as well. Does this only work for new saves?

Real name fix should work even if you started. What's the issue? Did you reload skin after installing it?

Also, I should mention that I get a lot of goals from corners with my striker. I have my striker run toward near post, and have my guy take corners to near post. Helps that he's tall and have good heading rating.

The real name fix that ITT posted didn't work for my game either.

Tried it a couple times, but didn't really spend much time on it because "Man Utd vs. Manchester United" and "Premier Division vs. Premier League" doesn't really annoy me like not having pictures/logos would.

It's awfully late here, but I'll post this short summary of my career with Völsungur so far. I started in the second tier of Icelandic football, slowly worked my way up and even played in the Champions league group stage last year. Here are just the league tables, I'll add more tomorrow.

Real Name fix should work just fine, if you make sure to follow the instructions carefully. Do it with the game not running, then load up the game and your save and it should be fine. Be aware that you have to re-apply the fix whenever the game updates/patches itself. Maybe that's your guys' problem.
