So a board takeover at Roma is still in the works, so I might not be managing them for long, the previous manager sold many of Roma's good players and left the goalkeeping and defense in shambles, but amidst all of that was this preseason result:

Further proof that FM hates me: in addition to the board takeover at Roma, during the transfer window of all times so I can't buy players, FM decided to have me draw Man City in the Champions League Best Placed Playoff. The board is expecting me to reach the quarterfinals of the Champions League, and I'm not even favored to make the group stages.

Normally yes, but in this case not really.

I already knocked them out last year and I believe my team is good enough to win it all. We'll see next year, hopefully I get my revenge.

So as I wrote earlier, the board expected me to make the first knockout stage of the CL. Problem is, I drew Man City in the Best Placed Playoff to get into the group stages.

So I went to the Etihad and got humiliated 4-1. That was it. It was all over. No way I'm coming back from that. The board was going to be pissed that I didn't meet their minimum expectation, but it was Man City. I was the underdog. So heading into the home leg, the fans were pessimistic, the press was pessimistic, even our mascot was probably pessimistic. But then the impossible happened:

And the fan confidence for the amazing aggregate comeback win was "the fans are satisfied." Satisfied? WTF fans? Are you mindless robots?

Edit: Is it taking forever for anyone else to save? It seems to take 3 times as long as FM 14, and it's quite annoying given I try to save after every match.

Yes, I had to turn off auto saving and hope my game doesn't crash. It's that bad.
