Thats a decent draw, who else made it out of CONCACAF? Honduras is kicking *** in mine. I lost 3-2 in Mexico, for only loss, then won next few games. Got 2 left , with already guaranteed playoff spot. Win next one and I am officially in, just like in real life.

Mexico took the top spot, followed by Honduras.

Closing in on the start of the World Cup, 2 games left in the Regular season and then it's on to South Africa.

You need to download some kits....I always hate seeing these generic kits they have with the game.

Heh, yeah I probably should. I tried earlier, I messed up somewhere. I will try again later.

I haven't been updating like I was with last year's game, but I think I may just start to pick up the pace...

So, I started as Johan Cruyff as the manager of the USMNT. In February I took over as the manager of Avai FC in Brazil, but was offered a job at Tottenham a few months later (I only played one friendly with Avai, a 1-1 draw to Juventude). I've yet to play a game with Spurs (who signed David Beckham before I took over!), as I am currently in the World Cup with the USA. I've yet to lose a game with them and qualified first in my group in the WCQs. I drew an adequate group of Gabon, Argentina, and Ukraine. I just finished my first game of the World Cup; a 10-man USA squad (a red for Jones) was able to overcome Gabon 2-0 (Donovan and Bradley, the replacement for the suspended Torres, scored).

Here's my formation with the US. They play pretty much like they do in real life, but the LDM pushes up a little farther up the pitch, linking the midfield to the attack more effectively than Bradley Sr. does it IRL.

Adu, Ching, Feilhaber, and Marshall were all terrible for me. I really like Holden and Quaranta, and Torres should've been a sure-fire pick. He starts for me! Depending on the opponent, Marvell Wynne can be dynamite because he is so quick. Against a Germany or physical team, Wynne could provide some great runs down the right.

Drew with South Africa because of Jermaine JOnes getting sent off after we had a 2-1 advantage.

UPDATE: We've lost 2-1 to Paraguay on a heartbreaking stoppage time goal. Not looking good, we're gonna need some help to get through, as is typical USA fashion.

We're playing with fire, boys! This is really weird though. After Cooper scored, Drogba equalized with a header in 110th minute or so. It then went to penalties, where we won 7-6. But, the penalties aren't showing up, and the Drogba goal seems to not have happened. I haven't lit one up yet, so I don't think I'm imagining this. I'll take the win, but honestly, WTF?

EDIT: We've drawn Germany in the quarterfinals. I'm done for right now, but may continue playing in 3-4 hours. I'll keep you all updated, as I'm sure you're on the edge of your seats! jk

Glad to see things are going well.
My USA has been outed by Zlatan Ibrhi...er...Sweeden. Seriously, we were winning 2-1, on our way to the round of 16...Ibrahimovic scores twice within 4 minutes.

I'm pretty bummed right now...

EDIT: I've also resigned as Manager of Hannover. I couldn't deal with their financial problems any longer.

DOUBLE EDIT: Shortly afterwards, I was approached by Gladbach. (Finished 6th last year in the German First Division), I signed happily.




Triple edit: Russia wins the World Cup.

Well I won CONCACAF, heading to WC in good form. I run a 4-4-2. Even though seems to be a lot of injuries on and off. Not sure about German connection, I got job offer from Schlake, 10th in table, Jermain Jones squad. My first game against Mainz, 5-0 victory. Nice way to start off pro coaching career, even if lower table team. You guys sim alot, vacation, how you get to WC already. I actually watch all my games in highlight mode.

I think I started with the American Start date, so I started at the beginning of the final phase. Not only that, but I didn't have a club team until qualifying was almost over. No simming games.
And yeah, I was quite suprised Russia won. They beat England 3-2 in extra time.

I have never seen so many people go straight into managing National teams. I've been playing this game for 10 or so years now and always wait to get offered National team jobs. I also never sim games.
