Strasbourg Year 5 Update:
You may remember that after getting promoted to Ligue 1, I barely avoided relegation, despite 2000-1 odds against me staying up. Well, the board rewarded my feat by giving me a measly (but still better than before) $9mil p/a wage budget. And the press responded by predicting me to go down again.
I'm probably due for a precipitous drop for daring to be happy about the way things are going, but this is the dream season so far for Strasbourg. I have no business even being in the top half of the table, and I should be in a relegation fight. Instead, I'm in 3rd (though teams behind me have games in hand), and I have won 11 straight matches. I guess Strasbourg are channeling their inner Leicester City.Attached FilesComment

Season 1 at AFC Wimbledon is in the books.
We had a decent season. The Board expectation was to finish mid table, and that's about exactly where we finished. Lyle Taylor was the star for us this season, leading League 2 in goals with 30 goals.
Kind of disappointed to finish 13th, if I'm honest. For a pretty big chunk of the 2nd half of the season, I was flirting with the promotion playoffs, but really fell off the table towards the end of the season.
Board expects a top half finish this season, and I think that will be achievable. Only had 1 loan player in my starting XI, so essentially the entire team is returning, but I have a partnership with Southampton now, so I'm hoping to get some free EPL U18 or U21 players from them to bolster my lineup and make a run at promotion.
I will have enough wage budget to afford one more good player as well, so I will be scouring the free transfer list for a good fit.

My great season continues with a penalty win over Toulouse in the Coupe de France. I should have won in regulation, but their GK decided today was the day to get a 9.4 match rating.Attached FilesComment

Wound up winning the league! Lost in my 2nd to last game which made me nervous about missing promotion all together, but got some help elsewhere and clinched promotion. Then won 2-0 in my last game to clinch the title. One game left (Tester Challenge Cup Final) against a team that I lost and drew against...so it's a grudge match.
Then...on to Mid Sussex Football Division Nine! We'll see how much patience I really have for this build up haha.
Have another save w/ Whitehawk in Vanarama South to go to if I get bored, or I might do a journeyman free agent coach save too.Teams:

It's funny how it works with FM. I'm starting to kind of get in a rut with it now as well. I've been playing pretty constantly (probably 3, 4, 5 times a week) since release. I'll probably take a break soon, too.

I think the longest I've gone without playing FM is like 2 days, and that's because I was at a GP.Support Local Sports
