Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

So my break from FM lasted all of 5 days.

Started my new save unemployed. Usually make the manager mid tier. But this time I made a top tier manager (top license, ex-international). Got all the way into the end of November with no offers. Then Southampton offered me the job. They were in 20th. Ended up getting it. Fast forward to mid January and we are currently in 17th. 5 points back on Bournemouth. 1 point up on Sunderland. We have 20 points in 23 games. Magically in the first knock out stage of the Europe League (weakest group). And in the 4th round of the FA cup still. I honestly don't think I'll make it past this season with the team. Pretty sure I'll get fired. Unless I can some how pull out a magic run and finish mid table. Board is not happy already. Something like 38%.

We had no money. So I sold Wanyama for 27M. He wanted to leave, was very unhappy. And Real Madrid came in for his MRF plus incentives. So I took it. Pissed off the board and the fans. Turned around and bought Timo Horn and Florin Andone (ST). Got Horn for his 6.5m MRF. And paid 9M plus incentives for Andone. Who in his first game off the bench strained his back and will miss 3 months. And that was all the money I got from the sale. Also Mane has been injured with a torn knee ligament. He should be back in 6-8 weeks. However, I am close to maybe getting Martin Odegaard on loan. He might turn us down though. He could be a big boost. Also trying to get Harry Maguire from Hull on loan. He asked to leave, but they keep rejecting my loan. They seem to only want to sell.

Avoided relegation. And was most likely going to get fired early next season. As I was given that turn it round or else talk twice in the off season. So when I saw Ranieri retired, I applied for Leicester and ended up getting it. But only because all the better options filled other jobs first, lol.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

Just played my first game in Mid Sussex Division Nine. Drew 1-1, all the scoring early (5 min and 8 min)...Makes me realize this will be a bit harder than Division 10...

My adverts for scouts and physios are finally getting some hits, so I have a full staff now that is helping me find some talent. Got a 5 star (at my level) LB through scouting, and it's amazing not having to sort through every player and just send offers to whoever looked good. I have my staff advising me who to scout! That used to take so much time.

My expectations are much higher this year, and include winning the league. There are also 3 total cups at this level, not just 1...and I think I have to win at least 1 of those.

        Pressure's on!
        Teams:
        Yankees // Broncos // Blazers // Syracuse // Devils // Southampton // Timbers

Ordered a new computer and I am about to step back into this abyss. Is there any place that has 16 on sale?

Looks like cdkeys.com has it on sale for $27.01. I've never used them myself, but just did a quick google search and lots of people on reddit seem to say they are legit.

Next time Steam would have it on sale would probably be in a couple months during the Champions League final.

This is where I got it from. Definitely legit, and even had a few security checks before I got access to the code. Would definitely recommend it.

Got the logos and faces all downloaded last night. Gonna do kits tonight and start an Arsenal save at some point this weekend.

After kind of a meandering couple of years with Nottingham Forest taking my career total to 13 years with them, I think I'm going to fire up a new save, this time with the oldest Spanish club, Recreativo. Currently in real life they're on the brink of relegation and bankruptcy, o we'll see how long it takes for me to get fired.

I need to start up a new save, too. I am trying to figure out who and what league to roll with after having been away from FM for various reasons for a couple months.

I've never done the Italian Serie A, so I am thinking about maybe trying to rebuild AC Milan or something.
