Well sadly travelling has taken some of my enjoyment out of the beta, but still here we are about halfway through the year, playing above all expectations, we had a run of draws and losses snapped and now we've got the confidence back.

And to hopefully make the attack a bit more potent....

Getting off to a good start in my Spurs save, although I'm giving up a lot more goals than I normally do. My tactics are usually very defensively sound, and don't have me scoring a ton of goals, but this is kind of opposite. We're scoring plenty, but are also letting in a lot. I'd like to shore that up as the season goes on.

Currently sitting 3rd in the EPL table, and 2nd in our CL group, after dropping the CL opener 0-3 in Paris.

Also gambled with essentially an all-youth lineup in the League Cup, and lost 0-1 at Birmingham.

So after getting Stoke relegated, I took that Birmingham job. Was doing pretty well into early December. Sitting in fifth place in the league, and having made it to the EFL cup quarters. When I got a surprise job offer from Newcastle. Who won the Championship last year and went back up. Rafa took the Netherlands job, with Newcastle sitting in 14th. So I jumped on that. Here is to not screwing this up and getting fired or relegated. Because I have a feeling who ever takes over Birmingham is going up.

Also, anyone know what stats we should judge data analysts on?

And I'll just leave this here:

Yeah, starting with cup competitions, then friendlies, then the league is different. I don't really understand the Suomen cup either, like 95% of my squad was ineligible to play.

HJK was favored to win the league, but they got off to a slow start so they fired their manager and hired Hyypiä.

Will you guys be continuing your saves from the beta into the full version? Is this a wise idea to do?

If I go ahead and get the beta rolling, I assume that's a 'full size' download, and when the full version rolls next week, I wouldn't have to DL much? Is this accurate?

                    Sorry, n00b

I'm continuing mine over, I don't know of any issues with doing that, it's what I've done in the past.

And yeah, from what I remember, there will probably be a patch when the game actually comes out, but if you have already downloaded the beta you should just have to download the patch, assuming there is one.

I'll be starting a new save. Since everything I've done has just been goofing around and testing things out. I haven't taken any of the saves I've started too serious. Mostly playing with tactics and some of the new stuff.

So to confirm, there's only one "big" download? I also think I saw that I can just move the faces, stadiums, logos, etc. from a 2016 to 2017 folder w/out having to DL everything? Obviously I'd need to DL the new kits--but (most) everything else should be the same...?

I can't comment on the change from beta to full, this is only my second FM also.

But for the graphics, that is all I did. Was move them from the fm16 folder to the fm17 for the beta and they worked just fine. I then downloaded some of the new smaller updates for them.

I'm not continuing mine over, but that's because editor data and stuff isn't live and I'll start a game with the Susie patches when they drop.
