We needed a result to secure staying up. Furlong decided to have a record night to make sure that happened.

10.0 and a double hat trick. My man.

I'll be going on vacation soon, but I decided to try doing this. I've never gone this low before, so we'll see how it goes

I tried this last year and gave up fairly quickly. I found it brutal. So, good luck.

Has anyone gotten through the first season where Klopp isn't fired for being mid table?

I tried it a bit ago by creating a team and replacing Keymar and Hassocks in the Mid-Sussex League 10. The idea of a climb is certainly exciting, but with everyone on an amateur contract it's hard to keep players and you're playing some really boring B and C teams for a while. I may try it again at some point, but the length of time it would take to do it seems too daunting.

Even though we stayed up, I was fired. My failure in the cups and not giving enough youth from the academy a chance is what did me in. Kind of bummed about it actually. I was really into this job/team/save.

And instead of continuing on in that save. I'm going to do a journeyman save. I've loaded every single league in the default database. I applied for 47 jobs. And was offered 12 interviews. Shockingly I got a job at Albirex (professional) in Singapore. I didn't think with no rep and any ability I could get a job in a top flight. Even if it is Singapore. I thought semi-pro would be pushing it. I expect to fail in this first job, lol.

Cool. I've never been offered a U23 international role before in all my hours of FM. And going by how terrible my stats are and I've been a manager for one month, I'd say they didn't have any options.

How does your game run with all those leagues loaded? My game sims at a snail's pace when I put too many leagues in the game.

In preferences, try switching your interface rendering (I think that's what it's called) from GPU Assisted to Software. Might help you with processing times.

Its not bad honestly. It is a little slow at times. I do however have a very beefy desktop, so it handles it well. I upgraded a couple months ago.

The only major slow down I've seen so far was on January 31st. When all those leagues were doing deadline day. It took about 10 minutes to sim that day. Other than that, its been fine. A little slower than my normal saves on some day to day processing. But nothing I find frustrating or annoying. And the occasional screen changes can take up to two seconds. But that doesn't bother me either.

Oh, I should also note that to start the save, to build the DB and do all those game starting things, it did take ~15 minutes. So that and the deadline day have been the only major instance of a big slow down.

Why would software-only/cpu-only make processing faster? I'd try it out either way, but one would think GPU-assisted would help processing go faster, not slower.

I don't know why it works it just does for certain setups. Always worth a try.
