Took me about 6 hours to figure out why I was stuck on the loading screen trying to start this game, it was the new skin I wanted to try out. Oh well, I did managed to learn the word "loading" in like 10 different languages though!

The more you play, the faster it will start to go. But of course taking over a new team, and start of the year stuff will always eat up lots of time. But after a while the normal season stuff will start to zip by and you will get through seasons faster.

The **** is wrong with team talks since the last patch?

I left the Greek team, and then in October of the following season I got hired by relegation battling Leeds. We haven't won a single game, lots of draws and losses. Morale is awful. So I gave the usual pep talk to try and get a small boost for the next game in hopes of a win.

Win the title? Criticize? Playing well? What the **** are you guys smoking?

Okay so we draw that game and then lose the next two. Lets try this again before the next one shall we.

Going around like what? Trying to get you *** clowns to play better football? The **** is wrong with you morons?

I don't think this job is going to last much longer. Board confidence is at 38%. We are going to get relegated and I'm going to get fired way before that happens. I should have known a team in the Championship was too good to be true this early in my career.

EDIT: HA! I went to each player and did a criticize interaction after this, told them each they were playing like crap. This worked. It oddly kicked up their morale and we started winning games. In fact we ended up finishing in 16th. Went on a fantastic to end the season. Not sure whats up with those team talks though. End of season I had the same issue. I told them we could finish top half, they said we can do better. I said okay, lets challenge for a playoff spot. Then they got angry I was putting too much pressure on them.

Is there a known bug in Finland involving the League Cup not firing? Or are they in the process of changing how those cups are played? Beginning of the 2017 pre-season, I took the job at KuPS. We played in a group to move on in the Suomen Cup (The Finnish FA Cup). But I thought you also play in a group to possibly move on in the Finnish League Cup before the season started. Just a bit confused.

As far as I know there is just the one cup in Finland currently. At least in all my saves that I just checked, there has only ever been the one cup. Not sure if this is a change this year, I've never played in Finland.

It is probably a change then. I bet they scrapped the League Cup, which was only between the 12 teams in the top league.

Last year they changed it to a format where there were 2 groups of 6 and the winners played each other in the final. Was expecting to see this, but maybe it's just gone now. You can actually find the Finnish League Cup if you have Finland loaded and look in the World Search section. It's still there, it just stops after 2016.

What is your guys' opinion? Is the upgrade from 16 to 17 worth it?

Yes, but I think it's worth it every year.

In all seriousness, it's business as usual. Tons of changes - most of them behind the scenes - and improvements to how information is presented to you.

Curious how you guys feel about/deal with individual training. When I first started playing I set my asssitant to deal with it since I was overwhelmed with everything...but now I'm wondering if it would be smart to do it myself. Any advice on what would be best either way?

Also, wondering if I did something wrong...last year in England division 8, every player was on a non-contract with appearance bonuses. Now every player I want is asking for a contract and won't accept anything else. My game tells me I have 126k of wage budget, but that 115k of it is filled...none of my players have a salary!

                                Merry Christmas, fellow FM'ers!

Just finished one of my most successful seasons in FM. It ended with disappointment, as we got kind of spanked by Bayern in the Champions League Final, lost 3-0. But we acheived a treble! Won the League, the FA Cup, and the Community Shield.

Here's my squad. I really like the attacking options I have. Bought Christian Pulisic from Dortmund in year 1 at the January window, and bought Thomas Lemar from Monaco this past summer. I run a 4-2-3-1, and I rotated Eriksen, Alli, Lamela, Pulisic, and Lemar in those 3 attacking spots.

I honestly think Pulisic might usurp Dele as the first choice RAM. He had a bit of a slow start, but was so great for me late in the year, scoring some big goals, including the game winner against Chelsea in the Champions League semifinal.

Here was my Champions League season. Had 2 London derbies in the knockout rounds, Arsenal and then Chelsea.

Really looking forward to continuing this save, to develop Pulisic and Lemar into what I think they can become, world class forwards. Also gunning for the Champions League this upcoming season. I prioritized the league above the CL this season, but now I think I'll do the opposite.
