So I set my save directory to a OneDrive folder, so it's saved locally on the PC and then auto-synced to the cloud and across PCs. Best of both worlds. This is with FM13, but I'm sure there's a way to do it with newer versions.

I just noticed Sunderland has been relegated to League 1, lol. Was doing the draw for the J. Paint trophy, and they were picked in a match, I was very confused for a second. Then I let out a hearty laugh.

With my Boro save on hiatus until I get rid of my pent up frustrations of having to replay matches I won, I'm looking for a new save. I have an Arsenal save, but I want to manage a top team in Spain and Italy. I'm deciding between Real and Juve.Comment

One of the crazier matches I've witnessed, managed to edge out Hearts in penalties...and it was only the third round of the League Cup.
Picked up Charly Musonda from Chelsea on loan and he has provided a much needed boost to my midfield. He's having his way with the Scottish Premiership, it's a blast to watch.Huskers | Chelsea FC | Minnesota United | OmahaComment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Ok guys. Real Madrid will my next save until I recover enough to replay my Boro save. Still disappointed as I beat Man United down 1-0 and with 10 men to boot to advance to the CoC Final. Why Madrid? Great prospects like Assensio and Vallejos as well as some of my favorite players such as Kroos and Isco. Also, I'm adding transfer ban to them to add some more challenge. My goal will the same. Try to develop youth, sign promising youngsters 18 and under and re-establish the club as the greatest in Spain. I won't hide the fact that I might go for De Gea in January window lol. I will undo Florentino's galactico strategy and use the Southampton development modelComment

When Martin Ødegaard is healthy, he is a world beater for me, but the dude is just so injury prone. Ended up snagging the out of favor Mario Götze from Bayern. Kind of weird seeing Götze in a Forest Uniform, that's for sure.Support Local Sports

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Our first season in League 2 wasn't what I was hoping for. But we beat out the boards expectations, barely. Avoided relegation. But had a terrible season overall. Lost all three cups in the first game/round. And were embarrassed in all three. Big losses. Just a bad season. But could have been worse I suppose.
Had lots of roster issues. Injuries non stop. Players demanding to start more constantly. Players demanding to leave on loaned or be sold. Even a couple of players that didn't get a long. One player was causing issues in the locker room, so I terminated his contract. Cost me 26K. Harmony never returned from that debacle.
I'm glad this season is over. I'm pretty much purging most of the squad. Almost everyone's contracts was up, and I only renewed about half of them. Going to be a fun summer.
Also that Burrow kid keeps improving a little bit every year as my number one striker. I'm afraid I'm going to get an offer for him this summer. And if I turn it down he will complain about not being able to continue his career in a higher league. And then not perform for me at all.
And the most interesting thing about this season is this. We scored 71 goals. And had a goal difference of -11. Our defense, with only one change, went from giving up 24 goals, to giving up 82 the next season. Of course it was better competition. But still. That is crazy.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Some of the things that happen in this game leave me puzzled. Like just now the board me to attend a meeting to discus raising the wages of the assistant manager. I said sure, sounds good. They then say, no we don't want to do that. Then why the **** did you call the meeting? I didn't ask you to do this. You offered, asking my opinion. Then said no, as if to say **** that guy.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I will update Real Madrid another time, but I had the heart to go back to my Boro save so here I am in January:
I am 24 points up on QPR, who have really fallen off and just sold Austin off. While they are comfortably in a promotion spot, they are struggling. Other than a draw, my team is still playing really well.
In the CoC, I have a 3-2 lead over United in the semi-finals with the 2nd leg at OT. I'm a little nervous, but think my guys can pull it off.
In the FA Cup, I beat Blackburn in the 3rd round and have a home tie against Swansea. Not easy, but not tremendously difficult. To me, it could go either way.
Given our lead, I'm going to start experimenting with the squad and playing my youngsters as their potentials are premier league quality.
Tomas Kalas and Nsue continue to dominate from the right hand side while my top goal scorer, Kike, is fit again, Stuani and Nugent did solid jobs, but I need a healthy Kike to stay on top. Fabbrini has been really good while Downing has picked up good form only to get hurt again.
Transfers:
Going into the window, I wanted to focus on youngsters. With only a $2,5000,000 budget you have to. I signed Max Romero, but he won't be coming for a year. I then saw Ajer was being pursued by Arsenal so I made a quick move and got him for $1,000,000. I then sold Damia to Bournemouth for $1,500,000 which gave me some more funds. I proceeded to sign Anthony Maisonnal for $5,750,000 (installments) and Rafk Zekhnini. Neither of these players were interested in joining, but thanks to good performances and the fact that they would be playing in the first team right away, signed quickly.
I wanted to sign Lewis Cook, Teddy Bishop, and Demarai Gray, but all were too much. Martin Odegaard wouldn't sign for me on loan and of course he signed a new contract and his release clause shot up to 30 million. Little prick lol
I have a little left but I think I'm settled with transfers but Zivkovic might be one I'd go for. Wish me luck against UnitedComment

After 4 games in Ligue 1, scored 1 goal and conceded 11. We play @PSG next....I want to go back to Ligue 2.
Edit: Only lost 4-0 to them, better than expected.
Edit 2: Now my starting keeper gets injured during International duty and is out 3months. Well it was a good run Ligue 1, I'm just excited to get some money this year.Last edited by Kobalt; 01-21-2016, 09:25 PM.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
So I clear a lot of my roster. I make a bunch of calculated moves to get decent to good players as cheap as possible. I was working with 95k transfer and 28k/w wages. I have a damn good roster now. And have been tearing up the league with a 4-2-3-1. My team is playing like Chelsea last year so far.
But I think the team is in some trouble. The board told me they wanted to buy The Shay, so I said, sure if you want. They took out a 6M loan. And now we have to pay back 75K a month. Overall we are currently bleeding at just over a 100k a month. We have a 500k in the bank. But we will be in the red before the year is over. They just told me to sell players in the next window to help keep the team afloat. This is crap.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Strasbourg Year Four Update:
Having a 9 mil USD p/a wage budget in Ligue 1 just isn't cutting it. Every semi-quality player available on a free wants ~1 mil p/a, meaning I can't bring in anyone to improve the squad. And every team willing to loan me players is requiring I pay ~100% of the player's wages, which I can't pay because my board are a bunch of cheap $&!#heads whose only goal in life appears to be pocketing the profits I make them. I asked for an increased wage budget, and they of course said no. I would love to win Ligue 1 with Strasbourg, but this is getting ridiculous. I've been turning down job offers left and right, but I'm gone if things don't improve quickly.
I have a squad of decent to good Ligue 1 players, but the squad has less depth than your average Kim Kardashian quote, so if the injury bug hits my squad I'm screwed. Can you tell I'm optimistic heading into the season?
Edit: And now my wonderkid striker Romero says he won't sign a new deal because my squad isn't strong enough to match his ambitions. So I transfer list him (because I don't want to lose him for free), and he gets PISSED. So I apologize, remove him from the transfer list, and offer him a new deal. Except he refuses to negotiate because, you guessed it, he doesn't feel my squad is strong enough to match his ambitions. So back on the transfer list he goes. Except now he's pissed again and feels I'm forcing him out of the club. ARGH!Last edited by rsnomar05; 01-22-2016, 03:48 AM.Comment
