Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***

What is this garbage? We have been pretty decent this year so far (6-3-5 14 games in), but defensively we're pretty much garbage. Today's match against Tottenham upped the stakes, though. They also thrashed me in the Capital One Cup 3-0. We've won a decent amount of games this season, but we tend to get destroyed by the top teams (though we did beat Manchester City 1-0 and Swansea 3-2).

Nevertheless, we sit 10th in the table and I got a contract extension through 2018, so I don't have to worry about losing my job in my first season, at least. I've also held onto all of my players (a bunch of top Premier League sides hassled me with offers for Janmatt and he initially demanded to leave, but decided to stay after I pressed the issue).

Who knows, maybe I should have sold him (they were offering €17.75 million... need to change that to Pounds since I'm primarily doing a UK save now, I guess), but I don't really know when to sell in this game.

I've thought about it, but I move through these games pretty fast. Maybe I'll do it at some point. I've kind of used this thread to do the same thing, just not on a game-by-game basis.

I've been recording highlights and have a document I've been using since I started this Nottingham Forest save, I fully intend on writing a story about it, however, more n the form of a documentary with interviews and such. I figured that'd be easier than trying to keep up with ths game.

I also like that this thread has everything in one place, so I can read the progress of everyone at the same time instead of having to follow multiple dynasty threads.

i don't know why I get so bored when my teams become really good... I feel complacent with this Nottingham Forest game due to the absurd amount of money I've been given, keep thinking about starting up a small league save. Also keep thinking about loading up the editor and re-creating the 4 tiered US pyramid I made before.

Nope, nothing special. They haven't done well in other competitions, so this was kinda surprising.

A really good read on developing players in FM. A few years old but all the concepts still apply. It's also got some good stuff on squad structure.

Update to the season, we've entered January. We've lost Faurlin again to an acl injury, his career is over.

                                We score lots of goals
