Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
My two years at Strasbourg have garnered interest in my services from several top flight clubs in England, Germany, Italy, and Spain. They are all relegation candidates, but I am still in no way qualified for those clubs. It would be like if the Knicks had hired Isiah Thomas to be their President of Basketball Operations despite no experience in that role. Except I at least have some experience.
Despite my board giving me a transfer and wage budget befitting a Championnat de France Amateur side, I declined the interview requests. I'm determined to at least get Strasbourg back to Ligue 1, and I'm hoping that if I get there the board will finally open up the checkbook. But as it appears the board went to the Stan Kroenke school of budgeting, I am not optimistic.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I'm so tired of my players getting unsettled by low-ball offers, it's just so frustrating. I'd have no problem selling them if they'd make even close to realistic bids, I paid £12m for Serge Aurier, he's now worth £23m, no chance in hell I'm accepting an £8m bid that could turn into £16m.Support Local Sports

SEASON 4 (2018)
The best season so far!!
Again, there were quite a few transfers. No money was spent or earned, but the team was definitely improved. We signed some experienced Irish players who played in various lower divisions of English football, which is great experience for Irish standards. Also, five players were loaned from our parent clubs, and those players were once again the most important pieces of our team.
We won the league!!
That was the goal for the season and we achieved it without too much trouble. We were near or at the top the entire year and ended up winning the title with a game to spare.
What makes this achievement even more special are our annual wages, which are the lowest in the entire league. I'm frugal and I like it.
Finally we won a cup, even if it was the completely irrelevant local cup. But hey, it's a trophy!
This years European adventure was a MASSIVE success! We beat three teams and got all the way to the Europa League playoffs where we got smashed by AZ Alkmaar, but they're a much better team so it's not disappointing at all.
Getting so far in Europe and adding two more parent clubs (Ponferradina and Sassuolo from Spanish and Italian second divisions) resulted in us HAVING A MILLION IN THE BANK!! Woooooooooooooooooooooooop
Only 2 more million before we cant turn professional!
As always, I'll end the report with the best player from this season. This year it was the loaned central midfielder who was simply much better than any other player in the league.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
All of a sudden, I can't beat anyone. I dominate every game and get destroyed by counter attacks. Haven't changed anything from last year, just got some better players.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
We've hit February. We're higher up in the table but I wouldnt say we're playing better. More that those at the top have come back down from last season.
Transferwise, we made some big money moves, also Barca were sick of Lukaku so I had to bring him back to England
Not sure we'll be able to hang on but maybe we'll get top 4Comment

Mo, you can do it!!!!
Update on my Boro save. We are starting to assert our domination now:
After a solid, if unremarkable start, the players have started to turn possession and chances into goals:
Harry Chapman had his coming out party in the last match against Reading:
He's starting to improve although the decrease in determination is a little concerning:
Overall, I'm really having fun on this save, especially since I couldn't sign new players as usual. I was able to use Callum Cooke and Chapman in squad rotation and the patience with their initial struggles has started to pay off. Nsue has been my best player, but his contract's up and I actually want to buy Kalas in the Jan window as he's been great tooComment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I did my beta save with West Brom, they're a fun squad to use, only need a few improvements to finish comfortably mid-table, and if you use Berahino and Rondon correctly you can get stupid money for them. I sold Berahino for £35m, and Rondon for £30mSupport Local Sports
