Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
It this is a mistake? Would you guys pay this? I kind of want to sign him. But I have a real hard time paying that kind of money.
The player:
The transfer and contract:
I even worked that offer down from them demanding 75M upfront with addons. And I couldn't get him any lower on wages, he was about to walk away. I really hate that contract. Signing him will make me fail FFP wages for the season most likely. I don't really have time to move on other high earners as its august 26th.
I mean, I should do it just to bankrupt Spurs, but that wont help me get my next job, lol.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Yes, I think I would... the negatives though are the 50% percentage of profit (they wouldn't budge? No go on around 20-30%?), loyalty bonus and appearance fee is high but not crazy bad.
Overall that is a damn good striker.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I did end up signing him. He has been a beast scoring 7 in 11 so far. And has 4 assists with 3 POM.
I tried getting it down, but they locked it at 50% the first time I tried to take it down. They started at 40, and I moved it down to 20. Then bam, locked at 50. But that may also be because I removed and excluded the over 12 months and per appearance options.
I'm more concerned about his wages. I'm now failing the FFP wage thing because of him. Probably going to have to move on some other players in Jan. Then replace them with much lower earners.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Is FFP wages just broken? It was constantly going up. Now its dropped back down to barely being over. And the board sent an email saying we are on par to pass it now? I don't get it. Even though its for wage rise year over year, does making money some how affect it?

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I haven't seen any issues with it.
Have you gotten any loan returns during that time? Or send out anyone on loan?
Previous contract\transfer deals also impact that. Like if there was a deal in place to pay Sevilla €10m for a previous transfer once that player hit 50 games then it would hit you in that year.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
It fluctuated all season (projected). And then at the end of the season it went from having to be 160M to 187M. So in the end it didn't matter. As the project was 180 in the end. I still don't get how they calculate any of that.
Granted this is only second FM. But I've never seen anything like his before.

78 GD, and you only win the league by one point!

Dybala's Career stats since the game started:

Never more than 20 in his whole career. Then bam, 46 league goals. He scored 64 in 60 apps in all comps. Just insane nonsense.
Arsenal also won the Champions league.Last edited by Zac; 04-05-2017, 10:02 PM.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I guess 100M wasn't high enough. As soon as the transfer stories started mid season I gave him a new contract giving him 200K a week and added that clause. Should have made it 150M.
What pisses me off even more is I only get 30% in transfer funds.
I just asked for more, the increased it to 45%, lol. Thanks.

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
It's cool this year seeing the AI offer those kind of high transfer bids. In previous versions I don't recall the AI paying that kind of money.
When I was with PSG in my current save, Chelsea came in with an offer of €110m for Verratti.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Really getting addicted to my lower league England save. Created a team that was expected to win VNS, but finished 7th...1 point out of the playoffs. I'm under some pressure from the board but haven't been given any ultimatum's left. Just went through offseason and am 2-1 odds to win the league this year. Scrapped all my strikers and am trying to find better finishers. Have 1 on loan, and 2 that I signed that hopefully will do better than the crap I had last season. Kept my entire back line and midfield (except for my AM who left for more money on a free). Got a 4 star goalie on loan as well.
Really hoping to win the league and start the climb this season!Teams:
Yankees // Broncos // Blazers // Syracuse // Devils // Southampton // TimbersComment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
First season at Citeh is almost at a close.
Here are some of my transfers.
Incoming -
Funny enough, Rulli has struggled and Hart has been my 1st keeper most of the season. Vardy has been on an absolute tear.
Outgoing -
Cleaning house of some of Pep's mess wasn't easy. Total of out going including loans brings me to €90m which the board is really happy with.
Currently in the round of 16 in the Europa League, semi final of the FA Cup and still have a chance at the PL title. United just lost to New Castle and I play them next. I don't think I will win the league but lets see.
Also Chelsea are on their 3rd Italian coach in 3 years - Conte \ Mancini \ Allegri.Comment
