It's called Football Manager Live (link)

It doesn't work like what you are envisioning though - it's more of a fantasy-football type game where everybody has their own club and can buy real-life players to play for them. I'm a big fan but they are resetting all of the gameworlds in March 2010 for relaunch so I wouldn't recommend joining now...

I know that you can play FM2010 over a network, which might be more what you are interested in. I've never done it personally but I'm sure there are sites out there where you can find more information.

LOL. Not running anything special really. Just my MacBook Pro:

Anyway, I abandoned that game. Decided I wanted to start with a South American "power", so I chose Universidad Católica, in Chile. I'm back to about what I normally run, which gives me around 125,000 players. (It's a little more than the usual, as I've loaded all South American leagues/players (and players based in S. America) for this game. Sounds like a lot, but runs fast enough for me.

Do you guys really pay attention to the stars for computer performance when setting up the game? I'm just curious i usually try not to go below 1.5 or 2 stars when setting up a game

Nope not at all. I have way more players loaded then they recommend and I run my game fine.

For Mac users, I just got a Macbook Pro and want to get FM digitally - any recommendations? Also, on Mac, to download facepacks and such, is it easy like PC?

Don't know about facepacks. But just go to the si forums and select the link to buy it digitally. It's like esellerate or something.

You can get it digitally through Steam I know. I bought it this way and haven't had any problems so far - it auto-patches itself too if any patches are out, which is pretty cool

                            Steam is PC only.
